Abstract

This paper reviewed the 'Dynamics and Existence of Angkong in East Sumatra'. Angkong is one of the public transportation used during the Dutch East Indies period in East Sumatra. This transportation is also known as the Hong Kong rickshaw. Humans formerly pulled it by running. These human-drawn angkong were generally brought indirectly by the Chinese who worked on the plantations. As Viktor Purcell wrote, most Chinese worked in the logging industry and as angkong porters. Before this, other forms of transportation were used, such as horse-drawn carriages, ox-carts, or buffalo carts. These kinds of transportation were used for special needs, such as in forest areas, and as a means to enter plantation areas that gardeners used at that time. This research intended to explain the dynamics and existence of rickshaw transportation in East Sumatra using the desk research method on research reports, various sources of books, journals, and related articles. This research also utilized the historical explanation theory from Kuntowijoyo. The distribution of angkong in East Sumatra did not immediately become public transportation but started from private ownership. It started with the gardeners seeing and supervising the plantations they manage.

Abstract

Cervical cancer is the second leading cause of death in women and ranks fourth as a disease that occurs in women worldwide. Cervical cancer is a disease that is difficult to detect and can be detected when it is in an advanced stage. This requires early prevention by carrying out a pap-smear examination. Pap-smear examination manually requires a relatively long time, so a tool is needed by segmentation. Segmentation is image processing by performing perfection between the intended object and the background. One of the CNN methods commonly used in medical image segmentation is the U-Net architecture. Segmentation in this study was carried out on the nucleus and cytoplasm of the Herlev dataset using the U-Net architecture combined with data augmentation and image enhancement. In the learning process, this research resulted in a fairly high IoU value of 78% and an RMSE close to 20%. The results of this study also yielded an accuracy value of 89%, with an average precision, recall and F1 score of 89%, 89% and 88.67%, respectively. This shows that the combination of the CNN U-Net architecture with image quality improvement and data augmentation is quite good at segmenting cervical cells for the nucleus and cytoplasm

Abstract

Tea is a type of drink that has been around since ancient times. In fact, in some regions, tea has become an integral part of culture and an inseparable part of people's social life, and also contains philosophical values. In each region, tea has its own characteristics. This is based on the variety and type of tea leaves themselves as well as the way they are served which are different in each region. The diversity of types of tea and forms of presentation certainly cannot be separated from differences in the environment where the tea leaves grow, as well as the origin of the tea in a particular region. These two factors refer to the practice of drinking tea and the different ways of serving tea in each region. China will immediately come to mind when you hear the word tea, because its tea culture is still strong today. On the one hand, Indonesia still adheres to its tea drinking culture. Tea has its own position in the traditions and practices of several cultures in China and Indonesia, especially in the Sichuan region and the island of Java. The aim of this research is to explore some of the differences that exist in tea drinking traditions in Java and Sichuan. We will also explore various cultural aspects that influence the practice of drinking tea, such as how tea is served, the type of tea used, related customs, and the symbolic meaning attached to the tea drinking ritual itself. So that in the end, readers will be able to appreciate the cultural diversity that exists in this world and encourage the exchange of knowledge and experience in tea drinking practices in both regions. The research method that is used is qualitative method of library research, namely collecting data by searching for sources and reconstructing information from various sources such as books, journals and existing research. The findings from this research are differences in the presentation and way of enjoying tea in Java and Sichuan.

Abstract

Stunting cases in Indonesia are considered to have started to decline, reaching 21.6%. This figure is still in a category that has begun to decline from the WHO standard of 20%. The stunting prevalence rate in Riau Province is 17%, although Riau's stunting rate is better than before (21.6%), there are still areas with stunting prevalence rates that need to be prevented, including in the Kampar Regency area in Sungai Pinang Village which is 17 .8%. The aim of this service is to increase the knowledge of the Tahfidzul Qur'an Islamic Boarding School community in Sungai Pinang Village, Kampar Regency regarding stunting prevention. The method used is interactive lectures and questions and answers. The results of the outreach show that public knowledge about stunting is 25:20 who know about stunting. The impact of this service was an increase in the knowledge of counseling participants during the pre-test with a ratio of 25:20. For this reason, it is recommended to the community, especially Islamic boarding school students, to be able to implement the knowledge gained as a form of stunting prevention in the surrounding community by fulfilling nutritional requirements during pregnancy, childbirth and children before the age of 2 years.

Abstract

Abstract

The study of China in Indonesia has never ceased; the study itself is always fascinating. China is unique both in terms of language and culture. The title 'The Role of Confucius in the Development of China Today' was chosen to examine and understand how China has developed itself through the influence of Confucius. To realise the Chinese dream, China's traditional cultural heritage is a fundamental force that cannot be ignored. The values of Confucius have been the basic norms of Chinese society for a long time, although they were restricted and banned during the Cultural Revolution (1966-1976) as a result of the movement to abolish old values, and have now been revitalised, in parallel with the establishment of Confucius Institutes in many countries around the world.
