Abstract

Posyandu is the role of the community, which organizes a system services to fulfill basic needs, improve human quality, empirically has been able to equalize services in the health sector. The utilization rate of posyandu services by the community especially to maternal is still not running optimally. This is show by the number of Posyandu visits that have not reach 70% target of Ngawi Regency. Therefore, researcher wanted to conduct a Quality Survey for child Posyandu Services. This research type is descriptive. The sample was 220 maternal. This research used Simple Random Sampling techniques. The instrument of this research closed questionnaire filled by respondents. The research only uses a single variable that’s Quality of child Posyandu Services. The results of the study shown that almost every attribute Quality of child posyandu services based on the leve l of importance and performance in relatively encouraging posyandu patients. Priority attributes include posyandu places, availability of toilets, consultation with officers (cadres or midwivery), officers in measuring height quickly and precisely and subsequent posyandu schedule information. Keywords: quality; attributes; posyandu.

Abstract

The gap between research outputs and their implementation in real-world health settings remains a persistent challenge within academic and health systems. While research productivity in health sciences continues to grow, its tangible impact on population health outcomes is not always evident. At the same time, community service and public health outreach programs are often conducted without a strong research foundation and lack integration with research roadmaps, resulting in short-term and unsustainable health outcomes. This article presents a conceptual perspective on the importance of integrating research and community service within the context of health systems through a research roadmap-based approach. Using a reflective narrative method, this paper explores existing gaps between health research and community-based health interventions, proposes an integrative framework, and elaborates key principles and systematic steps for designing research-based community service programs in health settings. Furthermore, it highlights the strategic role of the penta helix collaboration model in ensuring sustainability and strengthening health system responsiveness. This perspective argues that ideal community service in the health sector represents the downstream implementation of research, oriented toward sustainable community health empowerment and improved health behaviors. Strengthening the integration between research and community service is expected to enhance the social and clinical relevance of health education institutions and maximize the real-world impact of scientific knowledge on population health. Keywords: community service, research roadmap, community health, health empowerment, research translation, penta helix

Abstract

Cocoa is an important agricultural commodity in Indonesia, but its cultivated area has changed substantially over time. Identifying when a sustained decline began is important for understanding the long-term trajectory of cocoa cultivation and supporting evidence-based agricultural planning. This study aimed to examine the temporal trend in cocoa plantation area in Indonesia from 1980 to 2025, identify the onset of a statistically significant decline, and project the future trajectory of cocoa land area. Annual cocoa land-area data from 1980 to 2025 were analyzed using graphical trend assessment, linear regression, and the Mann–Kendall trend test. Linear regression was applied to the decline phase to estimate the annual rate of change and to develop trend-based projections for 2026–2030. Model performance was assessed using the coefficient of determination and prediction error measures. Cocoa plantation area increased substantially from 47,082 ha in 1980 to a historical peak of 1,774,463 ha in 2012. A sustained decline began in 2013, with the area decreasing to 1,369,441 ha by 2025, representing a 22.83% reduction from the 2012 peak. Linear regression for 2013–2025 estimated an annual decline of approximately 36,217 ha (95% CI: −40,636 to −31,797), with a strong model fit (R² = 0.966; p < 0.001). The Mann–Kendall test confirmed a strong and statistically significant downward trend (τ = −0.974; p < 0.001). Under the assumption that the historical linear trend continues, cocoa land area is projected to decline to approximately 1.16 million ha by 2030. In conclusion, Indonesia's cocoa plantation area experienced a prolonged expansion followed by a statistically significant and sustained contraction beginning in 2013. Continued decline could substantially reduce the national cocoa-growing area over the coming years. These findings support the need for timely strategies focused on plantation rehabilitation, sustainable land-use management, productivity improvement, and long-term cocoa-sector sustainability. Keywords: Cocoa plantation; Indonesia; land-use decline; temporal trend; linear regression; Mann–Kendall test; predictive modeling
