Abstract

Human resources are the biggest strength in the management of Islamic educational institutions. The quality of human resources is crucial right now, because competence of human resources who have knowledge and skills will be able to cope environmental changes. Teachers and employees are the key of success in educational institutions. Good or bad performance of teachers and employees will support the competitiveness of schools. Based on this phenomenon, this research reveals the development of educators and education staff in enhancing competitiveness in the Excellent Islamic Elementary School in Bukittinggi City. This research uses descriptive qualitative. Located in Excellent Islamic Elementary School Bukittinggi City. The source of data in this study is the board of trustees, principals, teachers and employees. The techniques of data collection are participant observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. Later on the collected data is analyzed using data reduction techniques, data presentation, and conclusion. All data are approved by validity through a credibility test, transferability test, dependability test and conformability test. The results showed that the development of teachers and employees is done through 1) on the job training, that is, development that takes place during working hours takes place both formally and informally. 2) Off the job training, that is development that has done specifically outside of work. As for the development carried out: a) training in the form of quantum teaching training, workshops for making learning media and parenting seminars, b) rotation position, c) Religious Development, d) Teacher working groups (KKG) and comparative studies. This development aims to improve the competencies of teachers and employees in the school environment so that they can improve the quality of Islamic educational institutions in accordance with the increasingly stringent times.

Abstract

In pursuing educational excellence, this study delved into the dynamic impact of transformative leadership on teacher and student performance, emphasizing innovation and collaboration. Employing a comprehensive mixed-methods research design, the research explored the multifaceted dimensions of transformative leadership in the educational context. Data collection involved surveys to quantify perceptions and in-depth interviews to capture nuanced insights, ensuring a holistic understanding of leadership dynamics. The findings revealed that transformative leadership significantly influenced teachers, fostering heightened dedication and professional growth. Students, in turn, experienced a more enriching learning environment, leading to improved academic outcomes and socio-emotional well-being. The study also identified collaborative decision-making and supportive school culture as pivotal within the transformative leadership paradigm.

Abstract

Peningkatan kearifan lokal dalam lembaga pendidikan menjadi  langkah strategis untuk mencetak generasi muda berkarakter. Namun demikian, guru-guru di Kabupatim Manokwari masih jauh dari kata memadai untuk dapat mengangkat bahan ajar yang berbasis pada cerita rakyat lokal. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini merupakan langkah untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru menulis dan mengembangkan cerita rakyat sebagai media pembelajaran. Kegiatan PKM ini diikuti oleh 25 guru dari berbagai sekolah di Kabupaten Manokwari. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan peserta sebesar 71% berdasarkan pre-test dan post-test. Selain itu, para peserta kegiatan PKM telah menghasilkan 18 naskah cerita rakyat siap dijadikan sebagai bahan ajar. Kegiatan ini berperan dalam upaya pelestarian budaya lokal dan peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran berbasis kearifan lokal Papua Barat.

Abstract

Kepemimpinan dalam suatu organisasi, lembaga atau institusi mempunyai peranan yang sangat penting. Karena tanpa adanya kepemimpinan, maka tujuan organisasi yang telah direncanakan dengan matang tidak akan tercapai. Disamping itu, kepemimpinan yang baik tentu harus dibarengi dengan manajemen yang baik juga, karena manajemen merupakan suatu ilmu pengetahuan yang mempunyai peranan penting dalam kehidupan masyarakat. Disamping itu, manajemen juga membahas tentang bagaimana bentuk sistem kepemimpinan yang berlaku dalam suatu instansi, tujuan apa yang ingin dicapai oleh instansi tersebut serta bagaimana bentuk usaha atau cara yang akan dilalui demi tercapainya tujuan tersebut.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the assessment of students’ critical thinking skills through daily tests in the Fiqh subject at MAN 3 Padang Panjang. It employs a descriptive qualitative approach to examine assessment forms and students’ critical thinking as reflected in test results. The subjects include Fiqh teachers and students, while the object is the assessment of critical thinking through daily tests. Data were collected through document analysis of test items and student responses, teacher interviews, and supporting observations. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model, with validity ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings show that daily tests include elements of critical thinking through essay and contextual case-based questions, but are not yet systematically designed based on comprehensive indicators. Students’ critical thinking skills are at a moderate level, dominated by basic analytical abilities. The study highlights the importance of strengthening HOTS-oriented assessment in Fiqh learning.

Abstract

Deforestasi yang meningkat dalam dua dekade terakhir telah memperburuk kerentanan sosial dan ekonomi masyarakat di wilayah pedesaan Sumatera Barat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak deforestasi terhadap kesejahteraan masyarakat, mengidentifikasi peran pendidikan lingkungan dalam membangun kesadaran ekologis, serta merumuskan strategi sosioedukatif untuk memperkuat ketahanan ekonomi berbasis konservasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan fenomenologis, melibatkan masyarakat terdampak, pendidik, dan relawan lingkungan di Kabupaten Solok, Agam, dan Pesisir Selatan. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi lapangan, serta studi dokumentasi terhadap laporan pemerintah dan lembaga lingkungan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa deforestasi menyebabkan hilangnya mata pencaharian utama masyarakat hutan, penurunan produktivitas pertanian, serta peningkatan pengangguran di wilayah pedesaan. Namun, muncul berbagai inisiatif pendidikan berbasis komunitas seperti Sekolah Alam dan Sekolah Hijau yang berhasil meningkatkan kesadaran ekologis generasi muda dan memperkuat partisipasi masyarakat dalam konservasi. Kolaborasi antara sekolah, LSM, dan pemerintah juga melahirkan inovasi ekonomi hijau seperti agroforestri dan ekowisata yang berdampak pada peningkatan pendapatan dan pelestarian lingkungan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pendidikan sosioedukatif berperan sebagai katalis dalam transformasi sosial-ekologis dan ekonomi masyarakat. Diperlukan penguatan kebijakan pendidikan lingkungan dan program pemberdayaan berbasis komunitas untuk mencapai keseimbangan antara kesejahteraan ekonomi dan kelestarian hutan secara berkelanjutan
