Abstract

This article contains an analysis of the philosophical and psychological studies of tolerance in the context of guidance and counseling. The scope of the tolerance study includes a philosophical review and a psychological review of tolerance. The method used is the literature review method, with five stages, namely looking for similarities (compare), looking for dissimilarities (contrast), providing views (criticizing), comparing (synthesizing), and summarizing (summarizing). The results of the study show that philosophical tolerance is influenced by idealism and humanism and is supported by the philosophers Socrates, Spinoza, John Stuart Mill, Jurgen Habermas, Karl Popper, John Rawls, Michael Walzer and Neville. The psychological figures namely Andrew Murphy, Amy Guttmann, and Gordon Allport. The results of the analysis can also be used as material for research and development of tolerance programs in guidance and counseling services.

Abstract

This study aims to know the description of students' career adaptability. A quantitative approach is used in this study, using Survey Research Designs. The sampling technique is cluster random sampling. The subject of this research involved 565 students at SMAN 1 Lemahabang Cirebon for grades X, XI, and XII. Data collection was carried out using a career adaptability scale. The career adaptability scale was adapted from the Career Adapt-Abilities Scale (CAAS) measurement by Savickas (2012) which has been translated into Indonesian by Rahayu (2021). Data processing uses the Rasch model approach. The results of the study shows that high school students' career adaptability is in the medium category with a presentation of 73.4 percent. The results of the additional analysis show that there are differences in the distribution of career adaptability levels of students for each level.

Abstract

Artikel ini diarahkan untuk menjawab tiga permasalahan, yaitu pengertian, unsur dan kegunaan pembelajaran visual ekspresif dalam program pendidikan inklusif yang berdasarkan hasil studi pustaka tentang Dalam mengkaji tiga persoalan tersebut, penulis menggunakan metode kajian pustaka dari beberapa sumber yang merupakan hasil penelitian baik dari buku teks, jurnal maupun artikel, melalui tahapan: 1) Menelaah karya-karya ilmiah hasil penelitian sebelumnya yang terkait. 2) Mengklasifikasikan atau mengelompokkan konsep-konsep terhadap bahan-bahan bacaan. 3) Mendeskripsikan ulang dalam bentuk analisis terhadap karya ilmiah sebelumnya yang relevan 4) Menyajikan dalam bentuk tabel atau matriks 5) Mengambil saripati. Kegunaan Temuan penelitian ini adalah model hipotetik tentang pembelajaran seni rupa visual ekspresif dalam program pendidikan inklusif, yaitu siswa regular dan siswa disabilitas belajar bersama, berekspresi, berkreasi, berapresiasi dan memiliki makna dalam kehidupan sehari-hari tidak hanya dalam bentuk pengetahuan (konsepsi) dan keterampilan (ekspresi), melainkan memiliki makna yang dalam berupa sikap (apresiasi).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi makna larangan bagi perempuan yang sedang haid untuk memasuki Rumah Adat Kampung Cikondang di Kabupaten Bandung dari perspektif bimbingan dan konseling multibudaya. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui kunjungan lapangan dan wawancara dengan tokoh adat (Abah Anom) serta anggota masyarakat sebagai informan. Ditemukan makna simbolik dan spiritual yang terkandung dalam aturan adat tersebut. Larangan perempuan haid memasuki Rumah Adat Kampung Cikondang dipandang sebagai aturan sakral yang berakar pada nilai-nilai religius dan budaya untuk menjaga kesucian ruang leluhur. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa tradisi ini berfungsi sebagai mekanisme etnopedagogis dalam menanamkan penghormatan terhadap ruang sakral, kearifan lokal, dan warisan spiritual. Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa larangan ini merupakan perpaduan nilai adat dan keagamaan yang dihormati secara turun-temurun, bukan diskriminasi terhadap perempuan. Dalam bimbingan dan konseling, pemahaman budaya ini penting agar pendekatan sesuai dengan nilai konseli. Konselor yang peka budaya dapat menciptakan hubungan yang empatik, aman, dan inklusif sehingga konseli merasa dihargai dan bebas mengekspresikan diri.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji sistem kepercayaan tradisional masyarakat Kampung Adat Cikondang di Kabupaten Bandung sebagai representasi nilai-nilai budaya yang bertahan di tengah arus modernisasi. Menggunakan metode kualitatif melalui studi lapangan dan wawancara mendalam dengan tokoh masyarakat, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa kepercayaan tradisional yang berakar pada ajaran Islam dan tradisi leluhur membentuk struktur sosial, ritual adat, serta keharmonisan dengan lingkungan. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa ritual suci, larangan adat, dan kebiasaan sehari-hari tidak hanya menjadi pedoman spiritual, tetapi juga berfungsi mengatur keseimbangan sosial dan ekologis. Praktik budaya ini mencerminkan identitas kolektif yang kuat, pewarisan nilai lintas generasi, serta adaptasi berbasis kearifan lokal. Dari hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa sistem kepercayaan masyarakat Cikondang berperan penting dalam menjaga ketahanan budaya, memperkuat solidaritas sosial, dan mempertahankan identitas di tengah perubahan zaman.

Abstract

Ungkapan filosofis Sunda “Alam Jeung Zaman Kawulaan Saur Elingkeun” merepresentasikan kesadaran reflektif masyarakat Kampung Naga dalam merespon perubahan sosial dan teknologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan menafsirkan makna ungkapan tersebut sebagai landasan adaptasi budaya masyarakat adat pada era modern. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif-filosofis, data diperoleh melalui kajian literatur, observasi lapangan terbatas, serta studi naratif terhadap seorang warga Kampung Naga yang menggunakan internet untuk mempromosikan budaya lokal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa falsafah tersebut menjadi mekanisme seleksi nilai dalam menghadapi modernisasi. Penerimaan internet dipandang sebagai kebutuhan pendidikan dan media pelestarian budaya, sedangkan penolakan listrik dimaknai sebagai upaya menjaga ritme ekologis, kesederhanaan hidup, dan ketertiban sosial yang menopang nilai adat. Pengalaman individu memperlihatkan bahwa teknologi dapat dimanfaatkan tanpa meninggalkan identitas budaya, selama diletakkan dalam batas etis leluhur. Dengan demikian, pola adaptasi Kampung Naga tidak bersifat resistif terhadap kemajuan, melainkan berbasis pemilahan reflektif yang menempatkan nilai adat sebagai pengendali perubahan.

Abstract

Cultural sensitivity is the ability to understand, respect, and respond appropriately to the various values, norms, and behaviors characteristic of a particular culture. This study aims to examine the meaning and practice of the value of soméah hadé ka sémah as a form of cultural sensitivity among the traditional community of Cikondang Village in Bandung Regency, West Java, toward outsiders. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data was collected through in-depth interviews and participatory observation with traditional leaders and local residents. The results of the study show that the value of soméah hadé ka sémah is not only reflected in a friendly attitude towards outsiders, but also in daily social practices that emphasize politeness, selective openness, and respect for traditional norms. The cultural sensitivity of the community is evident in the way they maintain a balance between accepting external influences and preserving their local identity.

Abstract

This article aims to explore the contributing factors of tolerance in senior high school students. This research covers the concept of tolerance theory and aspects that contribute to tolerance. The study was carried out using a cross-sectional survey method with a quantitative approach. The population in this study were high school students in the city of Bandung, Indonesia. The research sample was taken using a random sampling technique. The research sample consisted of 300 high school, vocational high school, and Madrasah Aliyah students in the city of Bandung. Data collection was completed using tolerance instruments, and data analysis used confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). The results of this study indicate that the greatest contributing aspect to the tolerance of senior high school students in Bandung was the aspect of peace. Meanwhile, the lowest contribution was observed in the aspect of equality. The peace aspect consists of indicators of caring, fearlessness, and love. The results of this study can be used as material and consideration for further research to develop a model or program of guidance and counseling services empirically designed to develop tolerance.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the ideal characteristics of a counselor based on the values contained in the Sanghyang Siksakandang Karesian (SSK) manuscript. A hermeneutic approach was employed to interpret the meaning of the text from the perspective of guidance and counseling grounded in local wisdom. The findings indicate that the concept of Rampes, mentioned 24 times in the manuscript, serves as the foundation for shaping a counselor’s professional, moral, and integrative character. This concept comprises three dimensions: (1) Bakti, which reflects religious awareness as a creature of God as well as a commitment to ethical behavior; (2) Wastu Siwong, a combination of knowledge, skills, and ethics that fosters integrity and professional competence; and (3) Pangimbuh ning Twah, encompassing social and personal competencies that support success in family and community relationships. These three dimensions are interrelated and form a holistic Rampes counselor profile. By internalizing these dimensions, counselors are expected to provide guidance services that are effective, empathetic, and aligned with local cultural values. These findings contribute to the development of guidance and counseling sciences based on local wisdom and strengthen the relevance of culturally grounded approaches in professional counseling practice.

Abstract

The Sundanese proverb "Ngindung ka waktu, mibapa ka jaman" embodies educational values balancing tradition preservation with contemporary adaptation, yet remains underexplored as a pedagogical framework for nationalism-based character education in elementary schools. This study examined how educational values embedded in this proverb manifest in Kampung Adat Cireundeu community practices and their implications for elementary education. Employing ethnographic case study design, data were collected through participant observation, semi-structured interviews with traditional leaders (n=2), elementary teachers (n=3), and community members (n=5), and document analysis. Data were analyzed using Miles et al.'s (2014) descriptive analysis framework with methodological triangulation ensuring validity. Five core educational values emerged: love for cultural heritage, social responsibility, unity, adaptive capacity, and independence. These values manifested through concrete practices including cassava-based food self-sufficiency, mutual cooperation (gotong royong), selective technology adoption, and intergenerational knowledge transmission. Comparative analysis revealed philosophical consistency across Indonesian ethnic proverbs. Successful curriculum integration required teacher ethnopedagogical training, curriculum flexibility, and community-school partnerships. The proverb functions as a living pedagogical framework demonstrating that indigenous communities can simultaneously preserve cultural identity while engaging modernity. Findings provide evidence-based guidance for integrating local wisdom into character education curricula, positioning traditional knowledge systems as vital resources for developing culturally grounded, nationally coherent educational frameworks applicable beyond Indonesian contexts.
