Abstract

The quality of Early Childhood Education (PAUD) institutions is an important factor in supporting the success of the educational process during the early stages of a child's development. Improving this quality requires directed and sustainable management through the implementation of effective strategic planning. This article aims to examine the role of strategic planning in increasing the quality of PAUD implementation through a literature review from various relevant scientific sources. The method used is a library research study by collecting and analyzing data from books, scientific journals, previous research results, as well as educational policy documents related to strategic management and education quality. The review results indicate that strategic planning has a significant contribution in helping institutions determine the direction of development, recognize internal strengths and weaknesses, and respond to opportunities and challenges from the external environment. In addition, the formulation of a clear vision and mission, as well as the implementation of continuous evaluation, becomes an important part in supporting the achievement of the institution's goals. Through strategic planning that is systematically prepared and involves various stakeholders, early childhood education institutions (PAUD) can improve management effectiveness, the quality of educational services, as well as the competitiveness of the institution in meeting the needs of the community. Therefore, strategic planning is seen as one of the main instruments in realizing a quality PAUD institution that is oriented towards continuous quality improvement.

The method used is a literature study by reviewing various sources related to PAUD management. The results of the study indicate that strengthening administration includes managing student data, teaching staff, curriculum, facilities, infrastructure, and institutional finances. Meanwhile, good PAUD management includes the functions of planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs on an ongoing basis. In addition, the competence of principals and teachers is also a crucial factor in supporting the successful management of PAUD institutions. With professional administration and management, PAUD institutions can create a conducive learning environment, improve the quality of educational services, and optimally support the achievement of early childhood education goals.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the planning, implementation, and evaluation processes, as well as to analyze the supporting factors, inhibiting factors, and solutions in the implementation of the Tilawati method to improve the accuracy of hijaiyah letter pronunciation (makhraj) in children aged 5-6 years at Al-Azhar 10 Serang Islamic Kindergarten. A descriptive qualitative approach was used, with data collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The findings show that the Tilawati method successfully improves children's ability to pronounce hijaiyah letters more accurately according to their makhraj through classical and individual approaches, the use of rost rhythm, and the read-listen technique. Assessment is carried out through daily evaluation and munaqosyah to measure children's progress. Supporting factors include teacher competence, good communication with parents, and the availability of learning media, while the inhibiting factors come from children's lack of concentration and parents' negligence in preparing the Tilawati book. The solution applied is to build close collaboration between teachers and parents, provide motivation, guidance, and direct pronunciation correction so that children's makhraj accuracy develops optimally. Keywords: Tilawati method, accuracy of makhraj hijaiyah letters, early childhood.

Abstract

Independence is one of the important developmental aspects that needs to be trained from the age of 4–5 years, since at this age children begin to be able to carry out various basic activities without fully depending on adults. In reality, however, many young children are still accustomed to receiving excessive assistance from parents or caregivers, so their independence has not developed optimally. This study aims to describe the implementation of health literacy in training the independence of children aged 4–5 years and to identify teachers' strategies in supporting the development of that independence at TK Putra II Serang, Banten. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving children in Group A, classroom teachers, and the school principal. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, and their validity was tested through source and technique triangulation. The results show that health literacy at TK Putra II Serang is implemented through habituation of clean and healthy living behaviors such as handwashing, disposing of waste properly, maintaining personal and environmental cleanliness, an "ant operation" cleaning activity, the 5M waste-management activity, and periodic health programs conducted in cooperation with the local community health center. These habituations consistently shape children's independence, evident in their ability to care for themselves, manage personal belongings, and follow school routines without constantly relying on the teacher. Teachers' strategies to support children's independence include using enjoyable methods such as songs, games, and direct practice, providing gradual assistance, giving positive reinforcement, and collaborating with parents and the school principal. The study concludes that health literacy implemented consistently in daily activities can serve as an effective strategy for training the independence of young children.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Market Day activities on the numeracy skills of children aged 5-6 years at Kemala Bhayangkari 05 Kindergarten, Serang City. The research uses a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The study subjects amounted to 14 children of group B aged 5–6 years. Data was collected through numeracy observation sheets that had been tested for validity and reliability. The results showed an average pretest score of 43.36 and increased to 57.21 in the posttest. The results of the Paired Sample t-Test showed a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05), so that there was a significant influence of Market Day activities on children's numeracy skills. The N-Gain test result of 0.6831 is in the medium category which shows that Market Day activities are quite effective in improving numeracy skills. These findings confirm that direct experiential learning through buying and selling simulations can help children understand the concept of numbers, count the number of objects, recognize the value of money, and perform simple calculation operations in a contextual manner. Market Day activities can be used as an innovative and fun learning alternative to develop early childhood numeracy skills.

Abstract

Rapid technological advances, greater international interaction, and the flow of information are hallmarks of globalization, a process of cross-border integration that has a significant impact on the education sector. This study examines the concepts of globalization and education policy, the role of education policy in mitigating the impacts of globalization, the role of technology in education policy, and the challenges of its implementation. The methodology used is a qualitative descriptive approach that combines literature review methods from various relevant scientific sources. The findings of the discussion indicate that education policy plays a strategic role in ensuring equitable access to education, encouraging the use of technology, improving human resources, adapting the curriculum to 21st-century skills, and strengthening national character. Through increased access to knowledge and flexible digital learning, technology plays a crucial role in educational development. However, several obstacles remain in the implementation of education policy, including inadequate digital skills, inadequate infrastructure, and the potential loss of local cultural values. Therefore, to achieve a high-quality and globally competitive education system, inclusive, sustainable, and adaptive education policies are needed to combine local and global demands.
