Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of prayer habituation, the strategies employed by teachers, and the challenges encountered in fostering the religious character of children aged 5–6 years at TK Islam Terpadu Raudhatul Jannah Cilegon. A descriptive qualitative approach was used, involving the principal, teachers, and children in Group B as participants. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that prayer habituation has become an integral part of daily school activities, carried out before and after learning, during mealtimes, and in other routine activities. Teachers applied strategies such as role modeling, repetition, motivation, songs and simple movements, and positive reinforcement. These practices positively influenced children's religious character development, reflected in their increasing habit of praying, using Islamic expressions, polite behavior, gratitude, and active participation in religious activities. Challenges included differences in children's ability to memorize prayers, understand prayer etiquette, and maintain concentration. Continuous collaboration between school and parents is essential for optimal development of children's religious character.

Abstract

Early Childhood Education (ECE) administration and management are the main pillars in forming a quality foundation for children's development. However, in reality, various obstacles are still found, such as limited human resource competence, inadequate infrastructure, and manual administrative systems. This study aims to describe the current conditions of ECE administration and management, identify the obstacles faced, and explain optimization efforts and their influence on improving educational quality. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach through library research. Data sources are derived from secondary data, including books, journals, and other relevant literature. Data were analyzed using descriptive-analytical techniques to obtain a systematic and comprehensive overview of institutional management. The results show that the optimization of ECE administration and management includes the management of student data, curriculum, and structured lesson planning. Such optimization is proven to have a positive effect on improving educational quality through enhanced data orderliness, effective institutional management, quality of the learning process, and increased public trust in the institution. The implementation of professional and systematic management is the primary key for ECE institutions in facing structural challenges and infrastructure limitations to achieve expected quality standards.

Abstract

Independence is an important aspect that needs to be developed in early childhood so that children are able to perform various activities on their own. This study aims to determine the role of teachers in developing independence in early childhood at the Natural Materials Center and to identify the forms of independence exhibited by 5–6-year-old children at Pembina Cibeber Cilegon Public Kindergarten. This study employed a descriptive qualitative method with 5–6-year-old children in Group B. Data collection techniques included observation, field notes, interviews, and documentation, with data analysis involving data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results indicate that children's independence developed well in the areas of discipline, intellectual development, and responsibility. The children began to be able to follow rules, solve simple problems, complete tasks, and tidy up their materials independently. Teachers served as facilitators, mentors, coaches, motivators, and role models who supported children's development of independence in their daily lives.

Abstract

The background of this research titled "The Role of Teachers in Introducing Prayer Movements Thru Illustrated Flash Cards to 5-6 Year Old Children at Al-Muhajirin Kindergarten, Cilegon, Banten." The role of teachers in teaching and learning activities is very important in creating engaging activities that are suitable for the characteristics of early childhood. Early childhood children require concrete learning media, such as illustrated flash cards, which can be used to help introduce prayer movements to children. The purpose of this research is to describe the role of teachers in introducing prayer movements thru illustrated flash cards to children aged 5-6 years at TK Al-Muhajirin Cilegon and to assess the prayer movement abilities of children aged 5-6 years. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The research subjects consist of imtak center teachers and children aged 5–6 years at TK Al-Muhajirin Cilegon, Banten. Data collection techniques were carried out thru observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted thru the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The validity of the data is obtained thru triangulation of sources and techniques. The research results show that teachers play the roles of planners, implementers, facilitators, motivators, and evaluators in the activities of introducing prayer movements. The teacher utilizes illustrated flash cards to help children recognize the sequence of prayer movements more easily and engagingly. The use of such media can enhance children's attention, interest, and enthusiasm during the learning process. In addition, children find it easier to understand and practice the movements of prayer correctly according to the teacher's instructions. The success of the learning process is supported by the use of engaging media, teaching methods that align with the child's development, direct demonstrations by the teacher, and consistent teacher guidance. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the role of the teacher in introducing prayer movements thru illustrated flash cards is very important and influential in the understanding and ability of 5–6-year-old children to perform prayer movements as part of the prayer program. Illustrated flash cards have proven to be an effective tool in assisting the religious learning process for young children.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of stimulating gross motor skills in children aged 3–4 years through structured and enjoyable physical activities. The study aims to analyze the children's gross motor skills during the "Senam Anak Indonesia Hebat" activity at PAUD Al-Kautsar Cilegon. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed to describe the actual phenomenon, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that the "Senam Anak Indonesia Hebat" activity contributes to the successful development of gross motor skills among children in the Playgroup..

Abstract

This study aims to describe the use of language styles in the tradition of West Zikir Poetry, Kasu Island, Belakang Padang District, Batam City. The reason researchers chose this object is to preserve and also analyze the use of language styles among generations contained in West Zikir Poetry. Things that are done to obtain research data using techniques, Observation, Interviews, and Documentation. Analysis techniques in this study, collecting data with Interviews, then the data is grouped and analyzed based on qualitative methods. The results of the study show that the use of language styles in West Zikir Poetry, Kasu Island, Belakang Padang District, Batam City. It was found that there were significant differences in aspects of diction, sentence structure, use of figures of speech, and orientation of communicative functions.
