Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the education quality assurance system at the Surabaya Job Training Center (BLK) using DeLone and McLean’s Information Systems Success Model (ISSM) as the analytical framework. A qualitative research approach with a case study design was employed. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis involving management, instructors, quality staff, and trainees. Thematic analysis was applied to examine six model dimensions: system quality, information quality, service quality, use, user satisfaction, and net benefits. The findings reveal that the quality assurance system at BLK Surabaya has been effective in improving work efficiency, process integration, and learning motivation. System, information, and service quality positively contribute to user satisfaction and organizational benefits. Nonetheless, challenges remain in network infrastructure and limited practice equipment. This study extends the ISSM application in government vocational training institutions and provides practical implications for strengthening digital-based education quality assurance in Indonesia. Keywords: Information Systems Success Model, education quality assurance, vocational training center, vocational education

Abstract

This article develops the concept of embedded dakwah to explain how Islamic values are formed through everyday community life rather than only through verbal message delivery. Drawing on a narrative integrative review of dakwah studies, lived religion, social learning theory, ritual studies, community leadership, and religion–culture scholarship, the article identifies four domains of embedded dakwah: community leadership, everyday social interaction, collective religious practice, and local culture. It argues that Islamic value formation operates through four interrelated mechanisms: exemplary conduct, habituation, collective participation, and social norm reinforcement. The proposed framework is relational, contextual, and non-deterministic. Its formative effects depend on actor legitimacy, relational quality, power distribution, and community inclusivity. The article contributes to dakwah studies by shifting analytical attention from communication strategy and message transmission toward moral-social formation. It further develops an ecology-based organizational framework for dakwah institutions, covering leadership and governance, program design, the cultural and relational environment, and monitoring, as a practical guide for mosques, pesantren, and Islamic organizations seeking to cultivate Islamic values beyond event-based program delivery.

Abstract

Purpose – This study examines the structural challenges and emerging opportunities shaping international trade among Islamic countries within the context of global economic transformation. Methodology – Employing a descriptive qualitative approach based on literature from international institutions and scholarly sources, the analysis integrates conventional trade theory, competitive advantage perspectives, and Islamic economic principles grounded in Maqāṣid al-Sharī‘ah and Value-Based Intermediation (VBI). Findings – The findings indicate that OIC member states continue to face persistent constraints, including low export diversification, non-tariff barriers, fragmented halal certification systems, technological disparities, and limited readiness for digital and green economic transitions. These challenges collectively weaken trade competitiveness and inhibit effective participation in global value chains. Conversely, significant opportunities arise from the expansion of digital trade, renewable energy development, Islamic finance innovation, and strengthened intra-OIC cooperation. Conclusion – The study argues that integrating Islamic value-based frameworks with structural and technological reforms can enhance competitiveness, promote sustainability, and support a more coherent trade governance system. Contribution/Novelty – The contribution of this research lies in providing a comprehensive analytical framework that links empirical trade dynamics with normative Islamic principles, thereby offering strategic insights for developing value-oriented, inclusive, and resilient international trade policies among Islamic countries

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (IRE) for children with special needs requires innovative and adaptive learning strategies to accommodate the diversity of characteristics and special needs of students. This study aims to describe the distribution and main findings of articles on PAI learning strategies for children with special needs from 2019 to 2024, identify emerging patterns of innovation, and examine strategies that have been proven effective based on empirical evidence. Using the systematic literature review (SLR) method with the PRISMA guidelines, this study analysed 42 selected journal articles from 200 initial publications through the Google Scholar database using the Publish or Perish 8 application. Four key findings were identified, including adjustments to learning aspects, the central role of teachers, the dynamics of supporting and inhibiting factors, and positive impacts on children with special needs. The innovation pattern led to three integrated dimensions: structural, pedagogical, and cultural-communal. The study's implications emphasise reforming a curriculum based on Universal Design for Learning, strengthening teacher training, and providing inclusive technological infrastructure. Further research is recommended to examine the comparative effectiveness of strategies, develop authentic assessment instruments, investigate long-term impacts, and explore artificial intelligence in PAI learning for children with special needs.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to examine how religiosity, family environment, and motivation affect entrepreneurial interest mediated by self-efficacy among ex-Indonesian migrant workers in Tulungagung Regency. A quantitative approach was used in this research, collecting primary data through questionnaires from 135 randomly selected respondents. Data analysis was carried out using the Partial Least Squares (PLS) method, processed with the aid of WarpPLS software version 8.0. The study reveals that religiosity and motivation have a substantial impact on self-efficacy and entrepreneurial interest. At the same time, the family environment does not significantly influence entrepreneurial interest through self-efficacy.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the synergy between Islamic trade financing and Indonesia's economic diplomacy in strengthening intra-Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) trade. Although various Islamic economic initiatives have been launched through the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and the International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC), the level of economic integration among OIC member countries remains relatively low, with intra-OIC trade accounting for only 16–17% of the total global trade of member countries. This condition indicates a gap between the financial potential of Islamic financial institutions and the effectiveness of national economic diplomacy policies. This study uses a qualitative approach through a literature review to explore academic literature, policy documents, and reports from Islamic financial and diplomatic institutions. The results of the analysis show that sharia trade financing plays an important role in supporting trade flows between Muslim countries through financial instruments such as murabahah, istisna, and wakalah bil ujrah, but its impact is still limited without the support of proactive economic diplomacy. Furthermore, Indonesia's economic diplomacy focuses on promoting halal products and multilateral cooperation, but it has not been effectively integrated with existing sharia financing schemes. This study recommends developing an Islamic Economic Diplomacy model that incorporates financial and diplomatic dimensions into a single policy framework, emphasizing three main pillars: institutional coordination, integration of financing and trade promotion, and strengthening of value-based diplomacy based on maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah. This synergy is expected to enhance intra-OIC trade competitiveness, expand the global halal value chain, and position Indonesia as the center of gravity for a just, inclusive, and sustainable global Islamic economy.

Abstract

The sustainability of zakat institutions increasingly depends on their ability to strengthen governance, transparency, and service effectiveness in the digital era. In Indonesia, the rapid development of digital technology has created new opportunities for zakat institutions to improve accountability and institutional performance. This study examines the influence of good amil governance on zakat performance and explores the moderating role of zakat digitalization in Indonesian zakat institutions (Lembaga Amil Zakat/LAZ). A quantitative approach was employed through a survey of LAZ managers across Indonesia, and the data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The findings show that good amil governance contributes positively to zakat performance, particularly through stronger transparency, accountability, competence, and fairness in zakat management. Zakat digitalization also plays an important role in improving institutional performance by increasing efficiency, reporting accuracy, and stakeholder trust. Furthermore, digitalization strengthens the relationship between governance and zakat performance, indicating that technological capability enhances the effectiveness of governance practices within zakat institutions. The study contributes to the development of Sharia Enterprise Theory and the Technology–Organization–Environment (TOE) framework by emphasizing the strategic role of digital capability in strengthening governance and institutional performance. Practically, the findings encourage zakat institutions to pursue inclusive digital transformation while improving organizational readiness and digital literacy.
