Abstract

This study aims to develop a mathematics teaching module based on the APOS (Action, Process, Object, Schema) model integrated with GeoGebra, focusing on the topic of quadratic functions for tenth-grade students at SMAN 1 Muara Beliti. The research employed the Plomp development model, which consists of five phases: preliminary investigation, design, construction, validation, and limited testing. The module was developed under the cognitive stages of the APOS model: action, process, object, and schema, and was enhanced through visual exploration using GeoGebra. The research subjects consisted of tenth-grade students and a mathematics teacher at SMAN 1 Muara Beliti, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through documentation, expert validation sheets, and practicality questionnaires completed by the teacher and students. The findings indicate that the developed module is highly needed by students and significantly addresses their difficulties in understanding mathematical concepts. Expert validation yielded an average score of 87.85%, classified as highly valid. Practicality testing produced scores of 92.50% from the teacher and 90.41% from the students, both categorized as highly practical. Thus, the module facilitates interactive, conceptual, and contextual learning aligned with the principles of the Independent Curriculum. Accordingly, it is deemed a feasible and innovative instructional resource for high school mathematics learning.

Abstract

The implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in Indonesia has brought about significant changes in the educational landscape, particularly through the introduction of Differentiated Instruction. This qualitative descriptive research aimed to analyse the implementation of Differentiated Instruction in the English subject at SMP Islam De Green Camp Tanjungpinang, a Sekolah Penggerak for the Merdeka Curriculum. The study focused on exploring English teachers' perceptions of Differentiated Instruction, their understanding of its concept, and the extent to which it was being implemented in their classrooms. The findings revealed that while teachers generally had a positive perception of the Merdeka Curriculum and Differentiated Instruction, their practical implementation was still evolving. Although they understood the theoretical underpinnings of Differentiated Instruction, there were gaps in fully differentiating all four elements of instruction: content, process, product, and learning environment. This research contributes to the understanding of how Differentiated Instruction is being interpreted and applied in the context of the Merdeka Curriculum, highlighting both the progress made and the areas that require further development to fully realize the potential of Differentiated Instruction in enhancing student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to analyze the level of self-confidence among seventh-grade students in mathematics learning at SMP Negeri 3 Klari. Self-confidence is one of the important affective aspects that contributes to student success, especially in mathematics, which is often perceived as a difficult subject. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, resulting in a total of 30 students as respondents. The instrument used was a Likert scale questionnaire, validated by two experts. Data were analyzed using percentage calculations and attitude scale interpretation. The results showed that the average level of students’ self-confidence fell into the more than half category, with an overall percentage of 63.76%. These findings indicate that while most students have demonstrated a moderate level of self-confidence in learning mathematics, more effective and supportive instructional strategies are still needed to enhance students’ belief in their own abilities.

Abstract

This qualitative literature review explores the paradox of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) reporting, highlighting the gap between corporate commitments and actual behavior. The review synthesizes recent research, revealing that CSR disclosures often serve as tools for legitimacy rather than genuine accountability. Issues such as greenwashing and inconsistent reporting standards undermine the credibility of CSR reports, limiting their impact on corporate behavior. The review emphasizes the importance of stakeholder pressure in enhancing accountability and calls for standardized reporting frameworks to improve transparency. Despite the widespread adoption of CSR reporting, significant challenges remain in aligning disclosures with authentic corporate practices. This study underscores the need for concerted efforts from companies and regulators to ensure that CSR reporting promotes ethical business conduct.

Abstract

This study aims to test the validity and practicality of the Problem Based Learning (PBL)-based teaching module integrated with the Wordwall application on similarity material. The method used is the development of Plomp consisting of 5 stages, namely Preliminary investigation, design, relation/construction, test, evaluation and revision and Implementation. With the validation sheet as the main instrument and a feasibility score of 89.83% with the category "Very Valid" and the practicality questionnaire from the overall student responses obtained a percentage score of 88.5% with the category "Very Practical". Based on the results developed by the researcher entitled Validity Test and Practicality Test of Problem Based Learning-Based Teaching Modules and Integrated Wordwall on Similarity Material, it is concluded that the Problem Based Learning-based LKPD that has been developed has met the criteria of being very valid and very practical. These findings support the effectiveness of the PBL approach and the integration of digital media such as Wordwall in improving the quality of mathematics learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model Project Based Learning (PjBL) terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Bengkulu Utara tahun ajaran 2022/2023 yang berjumlah 288 siswa dan sampel penelitian yaitu kelas VIII E dan VIII H yang berjumlah 64 siswa. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji analysis of covariance (ANACOVA). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) terdapat pengaruh linear kovariat kemampuan awal terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa sebesar 60,4%. (2) terdapat pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa dengan mengontrol kemampuan awal siswa sebesar 33,3%. (3) pencapaian kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa di kelas yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran ekspositori.

Abstract

Kesadaran hidup dan mati merupakan proses menjalani kehidupan serta kemampuan mengantisipasi masa depan terhadap apapun yang akan terjadi, pada saat yang sama seorang individu harus dapat menciptakan kesadaran dan menghindari rasa takut dan cemas akan kematian . Rasa kehilangan (kematian) merupakan rangkaian kehidupan manusia mewakili ketidaktahuan yang dapat menyebabkan kecemasan, ketakutan dan ketidakpastian bagi banyak orang. Budaya, spiritual, kepercayaan personal dan nilai-nilai seseorang, pengalaman dengan kematian sebelumnya dan tingkat dukungan sosial akan mempengaruhi cara individu mendekati kematian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan spiritual dengan kesiapan menghadapi kematian di Panti sosial Tresna Werdha (PSTW) Kota Bengkulu. Jenis Penelitian adalah Kuantitatif yang menggunakan pendekatan Survey Analitik dengan rancangan Cross Sectional. Populasi penelitian adalah semua lansia yang bertempat tinggal di PSTW menggunakan tehnik pengambilan sampel purposive sampling, besar sampel yang diperoleh berjumlah 40 orang. Analisis data menggunakan uji Exact Fisher’s untuk mengetahui keeratan hubungan menggunakan uji contingency coefficient (C). Hasil uji analisis diperoleh nilai p-value 0,022 sehingga dapat disimpulkan ada hubungan spiritual dengan kesiapan lansia dalam menghadapi kematian di PSTW Kota Bengkulu. Diharapkan kepada perawat lansia agar dapat memberikan edukasi tentang spiritual dalam upaya mengatasi kecemasan pada lansia terhadap kematian.

Abstract

The present study intended to develop E-learning media in teaching grammar for beginner learners. In developing the product, this study adapted the ADDIE model. The product that was developed using construct application focused on part of speech material. Thirty students of sixth grade enrolled on the implementation phase. Before implemented the product, some experts gave some suggestions and critics related to the quality of the product. The final product consists of some explanations of part of speech along with exercises, and in each exercise it is provided direct feedback whether the answer is right or wrong. On the first slide, a cover is displayed with attractive and colorful background since the target learner is beginner. The language used in this product is fully in English to habituate the learners with English environment. For the back sound, the researcher used rhythm only, not a song to avoid disturbing the learners. The researcher provides learning objectives. In this case there are three learning objectives. Then on the next slide it is showed eight part of speech that will be explained in detail. In material the researcher provided the definition and kinds of part of speech, also the example of part of speech. Moreover, the exercises were created in various types, ten questions in multiple choice and five questions in jumble word. This media can be used by anyone who needs it, and another researcher can develop similar media in different topic or level. HIGHLIGHTS: E-learning media that is implemented optimally can help the teacher in achieving learning objectives. E-learning media can be used as an alternative media during class instruction especially grammar instruction. In this digital era, the teacher is demanded to habituate to use e-learning media during class instruction.

Abstract

Penelitian ini di latar belakangi oleh kurangnya pemanfaatan metode membaca pada mata pelajaran bahasa indonesia yang banyak memuat kegiatan membaca untuk dipahami oleh peserta didik sehingga minimnya tingkat memahami bacaannya. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat memahami bacaan peserta didik pada mata pelajaran bahasa indonesia sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah pra eksperimen dengan desain one group pretest-posttes. Populasinya sebanyak 35 peserta didik dan sampel sebanyak 35 peserta didik. Yang diambil dengan teknik sampling jenuh. Dengan teknik pengumpulan data dengan wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi, dan tes. Serta metode analisis data menggunakan analisis N-Gain dan Paired sampel t-Test. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode pembelajaran SQ3R memberikan kontribusi pada tingkat memahami bacaan peserta didik. Hal ini diketahui dari peningkatan nilai rata-rata dari 6,49 menjadi 7,57 dan skor N-Gain 0,34 (kategori cukup) serta hasil uji Paired Samples t-Test memperlihatkan nilai signifikansi (Sig. 2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 maka H1 diterima dan H0 ditolak

Abstract

Penyakit ginjal merupakan penyebab kematian ke-10 di Indonesia dengan jumlah kematian lebih dari 42 ribu setiap tahunnya. Gaya hidup merupakan faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi perilaku remaja terhadap derajat kesehatan, perilaku remaja menjadi salah satu faktor internal yang mempengaruhi kesadaran diri. Seiring perkembangan zaman, penggunaan gula buatan dalam makanan dan minuman semakin popular di masyarakat sehingga mudah dikonsumsi terutama oleh remaja. SMP Negeri 3 Mojogedang merupakan salah satu SMP yang berada di Kecamatan Mojogedang Kabupaten Karanganyar yang masih memerlukan edukasi kesehatan. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah memberikan edukasi akan pentingnya menjaga kesehatan ginjal khususnya untuk remaja untuk mencegah terjadinya penyakit ginjal. Metode kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan sosialisasi kepada siswa SMP kelas VIII dengan jumlah 40 siswa dengan menggunakan powerpoint dan leaflet, kemudian peserta diberikan kesempatan untuk tanya jawab. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa sangat antusias dan dapat menambah pengetahuan melalui materi dan leaflet yang sudah di berikan terkait kesehatan ginjal. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa sangat bermanfaat untuk siswa.
