Abstract

Belut adalah kelompok ikan berbentuk mirip ular yang termasukdalam suku Synbranchidae. Bakteri pada kelompok ikan seperti belut dapatdijumpai pada permukaan tubuh dan saluran pencernaan. Sebagian bakteribersifat patogen, sedangkan sejumlah bakteri lainnya menguntungkan,namun penelitian yang mengkaji hal ini belum optimal.Penelitian inimengkaji komposisi bakteri saluran pencernaan belut rawa (Synbranchusbengalensis) menggunakan metode eksploratif deskriptif. Hasil penelitianmenunjukkan bahwa komposisi bakteri yang terdapat pada saluranpencernaan belut rawa bersifat beragam namun didominasi oleh bakterigram positif; BR2, BR3, BR4, BR5. Selain itu beberapa bakteri tersebut masukkedalam kelompok bakteri proteolitik; BR2 dan BR4, bakteri lipolitik BR2,dan bakteri amilolitik ;BR1 dimana bakteri peghidrolisis enzim pencernaantersebut dapat berperan sebagai probiotik dalam saluran pencernaan belutrawa (Synbranchus bengalensis).

Abstract

Chicken egg hatching waste flour can be an alternative to replace expensive spiny lobster feed because apart from being waste it is also cheap and easy to obtain. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of feeding chicken egg hatching waste on the water quality of spiny lobster (Panulirus homarus). This research used an experimental method with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments with 3 replication. The results of the study showed that the composition of chicken egg waste can influence temperature, DO, pH, salinity, nitrate, nitrite, ammonia, absolute weight growth, absolute length growth, Specific Growth Rate, Feed Conversion Ratio and Survival Rate of spiny lobste.

Abstract

Karang Bayan Village has great potential in the agricultural sector, with aren (palm sugar) as its main commodity. However, the unstable price of palm sugar and the limited market reach have resulted in farmers in Karang Bayan Village struggling to earn a sufficient income, especially when palm sugar prices decline. The aim of this activity is to enhance farmers' knowledge regarding attractive packaging processes and digital marketing strategies, ensuring price stability and a broader market reach for palm sugar. The programs implemented in this activity include identifying the potential of palm sugar farmers, training on making and packaging palm sugar in candy form, and socialization on digital marketing. The results of this activity indicate an increase in farmers' understanding of the importance of attractive product packaging and digital marketing strategies. Furthermore, based on the collected data, Karang Bayan Village has significant potential for the further development of the palm sugar commodity.

Abstract

Lampreh Village is located in Lamteungoh settlement, Ingin Jaya District, Aceh Besar Regency, this village is one of the assisted villages of Syiah Kuala University. The main potential of this village is agriculture and cattle farming. Activities of cattle farmers such as feeding, cleaning cages, fumigating cows on the Krueng Aceh road in Lampreh Village are only done in the afternoon before the sun gets dark. The problem is that farmers along the Krueng Aceh road do not have lighting and there is no PLN electricity network. In this product-based Community Service, lighting from solar panels (PLTS) has been installed. This PLTS system has a solar panel capacity of 300 WP and a battery of 200 Ah. The total load is 84W, 80% efficiency and can be operated for 22 hours.

Abstract

Pengaruh Konsentrasi Asam Sulfat dan Metode Skarifikasi Terhadap Perkecambahan Benih Aren (Arenga pinnata Merr.). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Teknologi Benih Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Tadulako, palu, yang dimulai dari bulan Februari hingga April 2020. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui interaksi antara berbagai konsentrasi asam sulfat dan metode skarifikasi. Penelitian ini Menggunakan Rancangan acak kelompok yang terdiri dari dua faktor. Faktor pertama adalah konsentras asam sulfat dengan empat taraf yaitu 0%, 25%, 50%, 75% dan faktor kedua metode skarifikasi dengan tiga macam yaitu pengamplasan, pengikiran dan peretakan. Terdapat 12 kombinasi percobaan setiap kombinasi percobaan diulang 3 kali sehingga diperoleh 36 unit percobaan. Paramater pengamatan daya perkecambahan (%), kecepatan perkecamabahan (%/etmal), panjang radikula (cm), bobot basah dan bobot kering kecambah (g). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa interaksi antara konsentrasi asam sulfat dan metode skarifikasi berpengaruh nyata terhadap pengamatan daya perkecambahan dan kecepatan perkecambahan kecuali pada pengamatan panjang radikula, bobot basah dan bobot kering kecambah. Kombinasi perlakuan konsentrasi 50% asam sulfat dan skarifikasi peretakan dan pengamplasan memberikan data tertinggi pada pengamatan daya berkecambah dan kecepatan berkecambah, yaitu (8,25 % dan 5,75%), (2,28 dan 2,12%/etmal).

Abstract

The plant pathogenic bacterium Xanthomonas campestris is a Gram-negative, rod-shaped bacterium that causes damage to plant leaves. This particular disease can result in significant economic losses and a reduction in the quality of agricultural products. An alternative method of dealing with this bacteria is to utilise the rhizosphere of kale (Ipomoea carnea) as a biological control. The objective of this study was to ascertain the antibacterial potential of the rhizosphere bacteria of kale (Ipomoea carnea) against the Xanthomonas campestris bacteria and to identify isolates with enhanced antibacterial efficacy against Xanthomonas campestris using the well diffusion method. A total of 13 bacterial isolates were obtained from the rhizosphere of kale, exhibiting distinctive round colonies, flat edges, and a white or cream colouration. A total of 12 gram-negative isolates and one gram-positive isolate were identified. The highest inhibitory activity against X. campestris was demonstrated by isolates R1, R3, and R11, with an average inhibitory zone diameter of 20.01 mm, 20.79 mm, and 20.57 mm, respectively. These values fell into the very strong inhibition category.

Abstract

Kegiatan sosialisasi pembuatan pupuk organik cair (POC) di Desa Matajang, Kecamatan Dua Boccoe, dilaksanakan sebagai Upaya memberikan pemahaman dan keterampilan kepada Masyarakat dalam memanfaatkan limbah organik menjadi produk bernilai guna. Pupuk kimia yang selama ini digunakan petani memang mampu meningkatkan hasil panen, namun penggunaannya yang berlebihan berdampak buruk pada kesuburan tanah dan Kesehatan lingkungan. Melalui sosialisasi ini, masyarakat diperkenalkan pada teknik sederhana pembuatan POC dengan bahan baku yang mudah diperoleh, seperti sisa buah, air cucian beras, air kelapa, dan gula merah. Selain lebih ramah lingkungan, POC juga dapat menjadi alternatif pengganti pupuk kimia yang lebih hemat biaya dan berkelanjutan. Kegiatan ini diharapkan tidak hanya meningkatkan pengetahuan petani, tetapi juga mendorong perubahan pola pikir menuju pertanian organik yang lebih sehat, produktif, dan berdaya saing.

Abstract

Community empowerment and development efforts continue to be carried out by the academic community of the University of Mataram. The main objective of this program is to enhance the added value of local commodities and create sustainable home-based business opportunities in Jembatan Kembar Timur Village, West Lombok, with a focus on a “creative economy” based on tamarind processing. The core activities included technical training in the production of tamarind candy and packaged tamarind, packaging design, branding, and marketing strategies. The results of the program showed that 15 participants, consisting of women from the Family Welfare Movement (PKK) and young women, enthusiastically participated in the socialization and training sessions on tamarind candy and packaged tamarind production, and expressed strong interest in further developing tamarind-based products. Upon completion of the training, participants were able to independently produce tamarind candy and packaged tamarind. At the final stage, participants were introduced to attractive packaging as well as virtual marketing techniques through social media. This program is expected to open up new entrepreneurial opportunities for the community of Jembatan Kembar Timur Village

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the antibacterial potential of Nephthea sp. extract against Escherichia coli and to analyze the phytochemical constituents present in Nephthea sp. using various solvents. The extraction process was carried out using the maceration method with three different solvents: n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and methanol. The resulting extracts were analyzed through phytochemical screening and antibacterial activity assays. The results showed that Nephthea sp. extract contained several classes of bioactive metabolites, including alkaloids, flavonoids, triterpenoids, steroids, tannins, and saponins. Antibacterial testing demonstrated that the ethyl acetate extract produced the largest inhibition zone, measuring 3.16 mm. Based on the ANOVA test results, the 25% concentration showed a significant effect on the inhibition zone. Based on phytochemical analysis, the ethyl acetate extract contained triterpenoid compounds, whereas the other solvents did not

Abstract

Increasing deforestation in many regions of Indonesia has led to environmental degradation, soil erosion, and a higher risk of flash floods. In addition to vegetation cover, soil microorganisms play a crucial role in maintaining forest ecosystem functions, particularly Actinomycetes. This study aims to examine the role of soil Actinomycetes in supporting forest ecosystem sustainability, with a focus on their ability to solubilize phosphate, improve and stabilize soil structure, and contribute to the mitigation of environmental impacts caused by deforestation. A systematic review approach was applied by analyzing scientific articles obtained from five databases, comprising 35 journals, of which 17 were identified as relevant. The selected articles were screened based on predefined inclusion criteria and analyzed descriptively. The results indicate that Actinomycetes significantly enhance nutrient availability, especially phosphate, improve soil physical properties by increasing aggregation, porosity, and water infiltration capacity, and support forest health through the production of bioactive compounds that suppress plant pathogens. Overall, soil Actinomycetes play a fundamental role in maintaining soil stability and forest ecosystem sustainability and have strong potential to be utilized in sustainable forest management and environmental conservation strategies
