Abstract

Based on its history, Surakarta is one of the oldest cities in Indonesia which has various cultural heritage and indigenous knowledge. These can be integrated as ethnoscience-based science learning in schools. One of indigenous knowledge in Surakarta is Keris, a sharp weapon with a curved or straight blade. This paper attempts to explore students understanding in connecting indigenous knowledge with science through ethnoscience e-module in science learning. This covers students understanding about local indigenous knowledge and its scientific explanation. This mixed case study contains a combination of quantitative and qualitative approaches. Quantitative data is obtained based on the questionnaire results of 125 students from 5 schools in Surakarta, while qualitative data is in the form of in-depth interviews of 5 students. The questionnaire results show significant impacts in increasing students understanding about local indigenous knowledge and its connection with scientific explanation. Then, the in-depth interviews indicates that students are happy and have interest in learning with ethnoscience. This paper also contributes to cultural preservation by providing indigenous knowledge as well as scientific understanding by linking culture with science.

Abstract

Kurikulum 2013 menekankan penilaian autentik yang mencakup 3 aspek yaitu afektif, kognitif, dan psikomotorik. Diperlukan sebuah sistem yang dapat membantu guru dalam mengolah nilai secara efektif dan akurat. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini yaitu bagaimanakah validitas, praktikalitas, dan efektivitas sistem informasi asesmen yang dikembangkan untuk pengolahan nilai di Sekolah Dasar. Adapun tujuannya untuk menguji dan mengetahui validitas, praktikalitas, dan efektivitas sistem informasi asesmen yang dikembangkan untuk pengolahan nilai di Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian dilakukan dengan R&D model 4D Thiagarajan. Rancang bangun sistem menggunakan metode Rapid Application Development (RAD) dengan 3 tahapan yaitu Requirements Planning, Workshop Design RAD, dan Implementation. Variabel penelitian mencakup validitas, praktikalitas, dan efektivitas sistem. Pengukuran variabel menggunakan angket dengan skala likert. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif menggunakan formula V Aiken’s dan momen kappa. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan profil kualitas buku siswa pada materi Suhu dan Kalor berdasarkan kriteria-kriteria pada instrumen penilaian STRS. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang didukung dengan data kuantitatif. Sumber data berupa materi Suhu dan Kalor pada dua buku Fisika siswa yang dinilai oleh lima penilai. Pengumpulan data melalui angket penilaian yang dimodifikasi oleh Jumanto. Teknik uji validitas data yang dilakukan adalah dengan triangulasi sumber data. Analisis data menggunakan analisis data kualitatif Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa buku A dan buku B cukup sesuai dengan kriteria aspek STRS. Kekurangan pada buku A adalah materi yang tidak lengkap, tidak menyajikan keterkaitan sains dengan lingkungan sosial dan masyarakat, dan ditemukan kesalahan informasi pada tabel kalor jenis zat halaman 427. Kekurangan pada buku B adalah tingkatan soal kurang bervariasi, tidak memuat latar belakang sejarah konsep, tidak terdapat panduan penggunaan buku, gambar kurang jelas, dan terdapat kesalahan konsep pengertian kalor pada halaman 128. Data kualitatif yang dikuantifikasi dianalisis mengunakan analisis statistik deskriptif. Hasil penilaian menunjukkan bahwa 100% penilai menilai bahwa buku A memiliki kategori memuaskan. Pada buku B, 80% penilai menyatakan buku memiliki kategori memuaskan dan 20% dengan kategori cukup memuaskan.Kata kunci: analisis buku, STRS, Suhu dan Kalor

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi las tidak dapat dipisahkan dari industri logam. Pengelasan ini identik dengan penyambungan dua buah logam. Penyambungan dengan cara mengelas merupakan salah satu metode penyambungan yang luas penggunaannya pada konstruksi bangunan baja dan konstruksi mesin. Metode penyambungan lain yang digunakan pada sambungan logam adalah baut dan keling. Teknologi pengelasan, selain dapat dipakai untuk menyambung dan memotong logam, juga dapat dipakai merubah sifat mekanis pada material yaitu dapat meningkatkan nilai kekerasan material dan kekuatan tarik material. Pengelasan pada penelitian ini menggunakan material baja ST 42. Dengan adanya penelitian ini didapatkan nilai kekerasan terbeesar pada sambungan dengan kuat arus 70A dan diameter elektroda 3.2 mm dengan nilai 53,41 HRC. Sedangkan uji tarik terbesar didapatkan pada sambungan dengan kuat arus 90A dengan diameter elektroda 3.2 mm dengan nilai tegangan maksimum 46,29 kg.f/mm². Abstract

Abstrak. Project-Based Learning (PjBL) merupakan sebuah metode pembelajaran yang memfokuskan pembuataan proyek sebagai media pembelajaran dengan tujuan sebagai perantara untuk menyampaikan materi pembelajaran. Project-Based Learning (PjBL) dinilai sebagai metode yang tepat untuk menciptakan keterampilan sains pada mata pelajaran biologi, karena karakteristikProject-BasedLearning(PjBL) dapatmenjawabkebutuhandalamprosespembelajaranbiologiyaituproduk ilmiah, proses ilmiah dan sikap ilmiah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana penerapan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan Project-Based Learning (PjBL) terhadap keterampilan sains pada siswa kelas VIII di MTs Al-Kahfi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif kualitatif, pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen tes berupa kuesioner dengan sampel sebanyak 43 siswa yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling . Hasil dari penelitian yang dilakukan yaitu pada pembelajaran Project-Based Learning (PjBL) terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa pada indikator berpikir kritis memperoleh persentase sebesar 87.13%, indikator keingintahuan memperoleh persentase sebesar 88.57%, indikator literasi sains memperoleh persentase sebesar 84.90%, dan indikator berpikir analisis memperoleh persentase sebesar 86.53%. Rata rata yang didapatkan dalam setiap indikator yaitu sebesar 86.53%, yang menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menggunakan Project-Based Learning (PjBL) mampu meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains pada siswa kelas VII di MTS Al-Kahfi. Abstract. Project-Based Learning (PjBL) is a teaching method that focuses on creating projects as a learning medium, serving as an intermediary to deliver educational material. Project-Based Learning is considered an appropriate method for developing scientific skills in biology, as its characteristics can meet the needs of biology learning, including scientific products, scientific processes, and scientific attitudes. The aim of this study is to describe the implementation of learning using Project-Based Learning in enhancing scientific skills among eighth-grade students at MTs Al-Kahfi. The research method used is qualitative descriptive, with data collected through a test instrument in the form of a questionnaire, with a sample of 43 students selected using purposive sampling technique. The results of the study show that in Project-Based Learning, the skills in science process indicators, such as critical thinking, achieved a percentage of 87.13%, curiosity achieved 88.57%, scientific literacy achieved 84.90%, and analytical thinking achieved 86.53%. The average percentage across all indicators was 86.53%, indicating that learning through Project-Based Learning effectively fosters science process skills in seventh-grade students at MTs Al-Kahfi.

Abstract

The use of new technology for educators makes it difficult for educators to update existing learning, knowledge skills, and various knowledge. However, the application of technology to the attitude of educators in adopting new technology is joined with the covid-19 pandemic, which requires educators to prepare technology. Technology readiness (TR) becomes a model in preparing technology that characterizes individuals using and adopting new technologies to achieve the desired goals. Perceived usefulness is an essential indicator of the attitude we take in the use of specific technologies. The purpose of this study was to analyze the TR of perceived usefulness in learning in the Covid-19 era. This research focuses on providing a general understanding and awareness of the importance of TR in everyday life. This type of research is quantitative, using univariate analysis and simple linear regression. This research design includes correlational research. The number of samples was 215 students were involved. The data collection tool uses an online questionnaire. The result is that school teacher education students in Yogyakarta have high TR abilities and positively affect perceived usefulness. This research implies that educators or stakeholders realize the importance of TR and technology services by encouraging positive attitudes towards technology to reduce reluctance to use technology.

Abstract

Students in elementary schools often experience various developmental disorders, especially those related to verbal intelligence, so that students experience difficulties in acquiring basic skills such as writing, reading, or speaking. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze to measure the verbal intelligence ability of students from an early age when in elementary school. This study aims to explore the verbal intelligence of students in the overall aspects, namely: reading, writing, listening, and speaking. This research uses descriptive qualitative research with a case study model. In collecting data, the researcher used a tool, namely audio-based stories, then strengthened interviews (unstructured) with educators and students with 25 respondents. Analysis of the data using Miles and Huberman. The study’s overall students' verbal intelligence still must be considered. In general, it is proven that almost half of students still lack in listening, reading, writing, and speaking aspects, so this will certainly hinder the development of students at their age. The implication of this research is the need for support from relevant stakeholders to develop verbal skills from an early age so that it becomes the key to the development of students in the future.

Abstract

The results of the observations show that in the learning process in the Elementary School of Connectmacan District, there are still many fifth grade students who are not enthusiastic about participating in learning, this shows that the students' interest in learning social studies is low. This study aims to analyze the influence of the conditions of the learning environment, teacher professional competence, and learning facilities on the students' interest in social studies learning at SDN Connectmacan District. This study uses a quantitative design with an emphasis on explanation (explanatory research). The population of all students in grade V SD Negeri in the Asri Cluster, Kontakmacan District, Academic Year 2019/2020, totaling 8 SD. The sample was taken 4 SDN with simple random sampling technique. Data collection in the form of questionnaires and documentation. The questionnaire instrument was first tested for validity and reliability on students other than respondents. The data analysis technique used the Multiple Linear Regression test. The results showed that there was a positive and significant influence on the condition of the school environment on interest in learning social studies. There is a positive and significant effect of teacher professional competence on interest in learning social studies. There is a positive and significant influence of learning facilities on interest in social studies learning. There is a positive and significant influence on the variable school environment conditions, teacher professional competence, and learning facilities simultaneously on interest in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to explore instructional models that foster 21st-century skills in secondary school physics education, focusing on critical thinking, communication, creativity, and collaboration. A bibliometric analysis was conducted on 142 publications from the past decade, utilising tools such as VOSviewer to identify dominant learning approaches, including Project-Based Learning (PjBL), guided inquiry, and STEM education. The results indicate that while STEM education significantly influences physics learning, specific research in this area remains limited. Key findings reveal the effectiveness of collaborative teaching methods, digital tools, and tailored interventions in enhancing students' practical application of these skills. This research provides valuable insights for educators and researchers seeking to cultivate essential physics education competencies, addressing the educational landscape's evolving demands.

Abstract

Visual identity plays a crucial role in shaping the image of a product, including in the local culinary industry. However, studies on how visual elements reinforce cultural identity in culinary branding remain limited. This study aims to analyze the visual identity of Kupat Tahu Magelang from the perspectives of communication, aesthetics, and information content in establishing a distinctive regional culinary identity. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, utilizing data collection techniques such as direct observation, semi-structured interviews with business owners, and a literature review on branding and visual aesthetics. The findings indicate that the visual identity of Kupat Tahu Magelang, dominated by bold typography and striking colors, effectively captures audience attention. However, the design lacks representation of Magelang’s local cultural elements. Therefore, integrating culturally inspired visual elements, such as traditional batik motifs or culinary icons, is necessary to enhance emotional appeal and product uniqueness. This study recommends a more culture-based design strategy to strengthen the competitive advantage of Kupat Tahu Magelang in both local and national markets.
