Abstract

Mathematics is a subject that is less attractive to students because it is con-sidered difficult to solve the problems, plus when learning they are often lazy which can cause many problems such as lack of understanding of con-cepts, not developing creative thinking patterns, and decreased academic achievement. Therefore, this study intends to identify the needs of Android-based digital learning media that are able to facilitate students learning math-ematics in a more fun and participatory way. The research method is quanti-tative research, with the data collection instrument, namely a questionnaire. The sample involved in this research consisted of 17 fifth grade elementary school students (5). Responses from the questionnaire were then analyzed descriptively with percentages. The results of this research indicate that stu-dents are used to using Android smartphones, they also often use them, only not for learning but for watching YouTube and playing games. Most of them also want a learning application with the material content being mathematics, so they can learn the material when at home, and in the end students have more time to study than watching Youtube when playing their smartphones, so it is necessary to develop an Android-based learning media for mathematics.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pendekatan culturally responsive teaching (CRT) dalam meningkatkan penguasaan materi sains pada siswa sekolah dasar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis bagaimana penerapan CRT dapat membantu mengatasi rendahnya penguasaan konsep IPA dengan menghubungkan materi pembelajaran dengan budaya, kearifan lokal, dan lingkungan siswa. Selain itu, penelitian ini mengidentifikasi dampak penerapan CRT dalam meningkatkan keterlibatan aktif dan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi sains. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif melalui tinjauan literatur sistematis dengan analisis berdasarkan Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review. Data dikumpulkan dari berbagai literatur yang membahas penerapan CRT dalam pembelajaran IPA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan CRT efektif meningkatkan pemahaman konsep sains dengan menjadikan pembelajaran lebih relevan dan kontekstual bagi siswa. Integrasi budaya lokal dalam pembelajaran memungkinkan siswa lebih mudah memahami materi dan menghubungkannya dengan kehidupan sehari-hari. Selain itu, pendekatan ini mendorong pemahaman dan partisipasi aktif siswa melalui pengakuan terhadap konteks budaya mereka. Dengan menghubungkan konsep sains dengan konteks budaya siswa, pendekatan ini juga meningkatkan motivasi dan minat belajar, sehingga pembelajaran menjadi lebih bermakna dan efektif.

Abstract

Salah satu pendekatan yang dianggap memiliki potensi untuk mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan kreativitas siswa sesuai dengan kebutuhan masing-masing dikenal sebagai model gamifikasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bukti empiris mengenai efektivitas model gamifikasi dalam meningkatkan kreativitas dan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR) untuk mengevaluasi dan menganalisis literatur terkait potensi model gamifikasi dalam meningkatkan kreativitas dan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa efektivitasnya bergantung pada beberapa faktor kunci. Integrasi elemen permainan yang tepat, kombinasi dengan metode pembelajaran lain seperti PBL (Problem-Based Learning), dan pemanfaatan teknologi secara efektif terbukti menjadi aspek penting dalam keberhasilan implementasi. Namun demikian, tantangan seperti durasi implementasi, keseimbangan antara kompetisi dan kolaborasi, serta perbedaan karakteristik individu siswa perlu diperhatikan. Penelitian ini mengimplikasikan bahwa para pendidik harus mulai menyadari pentingnya menggunakan model gamifikasi untuk mendukung proses pembelajaran sehingga tujuan pembelajaran dapat tercapai.

Abstract

Kurikulum Merdeka menuntut guru untuk memiliki kemampuan dalam mengembangkan perangkat ajar pembelajaran. Namun, hanya 5% guru dari 21 responden yang mengembangkan perangkat ajarnya sendiri. Oleh karena itu, grup riset Manajemen dan Inovasi Pembelajaran Fisika (MIPF) FKIP Universitas Sebelas Maret melaksanakan kegiatan pendampingan terhadap guru Fisika SMA Kabupaten Sukoharjo dalam menyusun modul ajar Fase F Kurikulum Merdeka. Tujuan dari kegiatan pendampingan antara lain, 1) memberikan pemahaman tentang Kurikulum Merdeka, asesmen diagnostic, dan proses penyusunan ATP dan modul ajar dan 2) melatih guru dalam menyusun modul ajar fisika fase F. Kegiatan pengabdian yang dilakukan grup riset MIPF diselenggarakan selama tiga (3) tahap dan melibatkan 33 guru Fisika SMA Kabupaten Sukoharjo selama bulan Juni-Agustus 2023. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi, didapatkan bahwa guru fisika mendapatkan pemahaman yang lebih terkait prosedur pembuatan ATP (83,3% sangat paham), fungsi dan tujuan dari pembuatan ATP (83,3% sangat paham), hakikat modul ajar (83,3% sangat paham), komponen modul ajar (91,7% sangat paham), proses pembuatan modul ajar (91,7% sangat paham), tujuan asesmen diagnostic (83,3% sangat paham),  dan jenis tes diagostik (91,7% sangat paham). Selain mendapatkan wawasan baru, guru fisika juga telah menyusun luaran berupa 14 modul ajar yang telah direview oleh tim grup riset MIPF. The Kurikulum Merdeka requires teachers to have the ability to develop learning and teaching tools. However, according to a survey conducted on Sukoharjo Regency High School physics teachers, only 5% of teachers from 21 respondents developed their teaching tools. Apart from that, Phase F of the Kurikulum Merdeka will be implemented in the 2023 academic year. Therefore, the Physics Learning Management and Innovation (MIPF) research group at FKIP Sebelas Maret University is mentoring Sukoharjo Regency High School Physics teachers in preparing Modul Ajar for Phase F of the Kurikulum Merdek. The mentoring activities have two main goals: 1) to give teachers a better understanding of the Independent Curriculum, diagnostic tests, and the process of creating ATP and lesson plans (Modul Ajar); and 2) to train teachers in creating phase F physics lesson plans (Modul Ajar). The service activities carried out by the MIPF research group were held in three (3) stages and involved 33 Sukoharjo Regency High School physics teachers from June to August 2023. Based on the evaluation results, it was found that physics teachers gained a greater understanding regarding the procedure for making ATP (83.3% really understood), the function and purpose of making ATP (83.3% really understood), the nature of the Modul Ajar (83.3% really understood), the components of the Modul Ajar (91.7% really understood), the process of making the Modul Ajar (91.7% really understood), the purpose of the diagnostic assessment (83.3% really understood), and the type of diagnostic test (91.7% really understood). Results Apart from gaining new insights, the service activities carried out by the physics teacher have also prepared output in the form of 14 Modul Ajar, which was prepared by the teacher and has been reviewed by the MIPF research group team.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas modul pembelajaran mendalam berbasis Discovery Learning terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa SMP pada materi Usaha dan Energi. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuasi-eksperimen dengan desain one group pretest–posttest, melibatkan satu kelas VIII SMP Negeri Bulu Sukoharjo yang dipilih secara purposive. Intervensi dilakukan dalam satu siklus pembelajaran dengan menggunakan modul yang dikembangkan berdasarkan prinsip deep learning pedagogy, mencakup aktivitas eksplorasi, analisis, verifikasi, refleksi, dan pemecahan masalah kontekstual. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes keterampilan berpikir kritis (pretest–posttest) yang telah divalidasi oleh ahli dan memenuhi kriteria validitas isi serta reliabilitas empiris. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan skor berpikir kritis siswa dari rata-rata pretest sebesar 48,48 menjadi 67,17 pada posttest. Analisis efektivitas menggunakan Normalized Gain (N-Gain) memperoleh nilai sebesar 0,37 yang termasuk kategori sedang berdasarkan klasifikasi Hake. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan modul pembelajaran mendalam berbasis Discovery Learning efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa melalui aktivitas pembelajaran yang investigatif, reflektif, dan kontekstual. Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi bahwa pengembangan bahan ajar berbasis pembelajaran mendalam relevan untuk mendukung implementasi kurikulum abad 21 dan peningkatan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi di SMP.

Abstract

This study tested the effectiveness of PBL-STEAM-based science modules (Problem-Based Learning - Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) in developing Science Process Skills (KPS) for students with simple airplane materials. Initial observations show the urgency of increasing student PPP in solving complex problems. This module is designed based on the PBL-STEAM syntax i.e. orientation; exploration and investigation; guided research; product creation, production, and presentation; product and process evaluation. The development research (R&D) using the Thiagarajan 4D model, involved grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Balen, Bojonegoro, with one control class and two experimental classes. KPS data is collected through test instruments. Quantitative analysis includes prerequisite tests (normality, homogeneity) and independent sample t-test. The results of the Shapiro-Wilk normality test (p > 0.05) showed that all data were distributed normally. The results of the Levene's Test homogeneity test showed homogeneous pre-test data, with a significance value of 0.709 > 0.05. However, for post-test scores, the test results showed a significance of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating that the post-test data was not homogeneous, even though the independent sample t-test test could still be applied, The t-test results showed significant differences between the two groups, so that the IPA PBL-STEAM module proved to be effective and had a positive impact on improving students' KPS.

Abstract

The purpose of this literature review is to explore the effectiveness of the application of Blended Project Based Learning integrated with Bioenial Website as an effort to improve Learning Creativity and Critical Thinking Skills. The research method used is literature review. The literature sources used in this study consist of various journals indexed from Google Scholar and Scopus. The research population is research journals relevant to the topic for various levels of study, from Early Childhood Education to Higher Education. The search criteria were the range of journals from 2019-2024, containing the same keywords as the research topic, and full papers. The results of the journal search by fulfilling the specified inclusion criteria found 960 journals. From this number, 10 journals were obtained that were in accordance with the objectives of this study. It can be concluded that the application of blended learning that integrates innovative and creative elements such as the Project Based Learning model integrated with the Bioenial Website that makes effective use of technology, shows great potential for improving learning creativity and critical thinking skills. However, there are challenges that need to be overcome to achieve optimal results.

Abstract

The rapid environmental changes caused by human activities have become a pressing global issue. Problems such as climate crises, pollution, loss of biodiversity, and other environmental damage require serious attention from all sectors. This study aims to analyze environmental literacy in high schools through a literature review focused on the concept and challenges of its implementation. The study uses a literature review approach to analyze the role of environmental literacy in high school education. This approach was chosen to provide an in-depth understanding of previous research findings related to environmental literacy. Through this literature review, the research can identify trends, challenges, and gaps in the teaching of environmental literacy in high schools. Environmental literacy is defined as students' ability to understand and apply basic environmental concepts and make wise decisions in maintaining environmental sustainability. However, its implementation in high schools still faces many obstacles, such as a lack of practical education, theoretical learning approaches, and low student interest and concern for environmental issues. This study uses a literature review approach to identify trends, gaps, and challenges in the teaching of environmental literacy, as well as provide recommendations to improve the effectiveness of environmental education in high schools. The results are expected to contribute to global efforts in mitigating environmental problems through education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan bahan ajar untuk siswa kelas X SMK dengan materi Proyek IPAS. Bahan ajar ini didesain menarik dengan memperhatikan warna dan penulisan agar bertujuan untuk menciptakan suasana yang menyenangkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan Model Borg & Gall yang memiliki 6 tahap yakni: (1) Penelitian pendahuluan dan pengumpulan informasi, (2) perencanaan, (3) mengembangkan produk awal, (4) uji coba lapangan awal, (5) revisi terhadap produk utama, (6) uji lapangan utama, (7) revisi produk uji coba lapangan, (8) uji lapangan operasional, (9) revisi terhadap produk akhir, (10) mendimensikan dan mengimplementasikan produk. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan validasi ahli materi, validasi ahli media dan validasi ahli desain. Penelitian ini juga didukung dari validasi guru kelas. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa di kelas X SMK. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian: (1) e-modul berbasis PjBL-STEM ini telah memenuhi kriteria valid dan layak digunakan setelah diadakan validasi dan uji coba, (2) Pada ahli media, dengan hasil menunjukkan sebesar 86% yang berarti valid, ini termasuk dalam kriteria sangat layak, (3) Pada ahli desain, dengan hasil menunjukkan sebesar 94% yang berarti valid, ini termasuk dalam kriteria sangat layak, (4) Pada ahli materi, dengan hasil menunjukkan sebesar 97% yang berarti vali, ini termasuk dalam kriteria sangat layak, (5) Pada uji coba Perorangan, dengan hasil menunjukkan sebesar 91% yang berarti valid, (6) Pada uji coba kelompok kecil, dengan hasil menunjukkan sebesar 91% yang berarti valid, (7) Pada uji coba Lapangan, dengan hasil menunjukkan sebesar 90% yang berarti valid, dan (8) Pada uji coba teman sejawat, dengan hasil keterampilan menunjukkan sebesar 95% yang berarti valid. maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa produk pengembangan yang berbentuk e-modul berbasis PjBL-STEM untuk meningkatkan berpikir kritis dan kreatif peserta didik layak digunakan pada kelas X SMK.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) develop a physics module with SETS (Science, Environment, Technology, and Society)-based characteristics and fulfill the scientific literacy aspects of Dynamic Fluid Materials for Class XI High School Students that were developed; and (2) determine the validity of the SETS-based physics module (Science, Environment, Technology, and Society) on Dynamic Fluid Materials for Class XI High School Students which was developed. The research method used is R&D (Research and Development) with the module formulation model adopting the ADDIE developed by Dick & Carry. This procedure was modified to the third stage with the following steps: analysis, design, and development. The research data sources were obtained from two expert validators, two reviewers, and 71 students. Qualitative data were taken through interviews and open questionnaires. Quantitative data were taken through a closed questionnaire and analyzed by descriptive analysis. The conclusions of this research are: (1) the characteristics of the physics module that is compiled using the learning flow with the SETS approach (Science, Environment, Technology, and Society) and contains aspects of scientific literacy; and (2) the feasibility of the physics module from the assessment of expert validators, reviewers' assessments, one-on-one trials, small group trials, and field trials shows that the physics module that is compiled is categorized as suitable for use in physics learning on dynamic fluid materials.
