Abstract

The quality of the instrument that does not apply high-level thinking skills greatly influences students' ability in high-level thinking, which is still lacking. This study aims to create a high-level thinking test in science for grade V elementary school students. The instrument developed is in the form of a descriptive test consisting of 20 questions on Style material. This study is an R&D study with a Formative Research model. The data analysis technique uses quantitative analysis and inferential statistics. The study subjects were experts and practitioners, teachers and elementary school students. The study results obtained a prototype of a high-level thinking test in science consisting of 1 package of science material in a description. The validity of the test obtained 17 valid items. All valid questions are reliable. The test discrimination index obtained 3 questions in the medium category and 14 in the high category. The test item difficulty index is in the medium category. The test parameters' accuracy level obtained 10 questions in the fit category and 7 in the unfit category. A high logit value indicated students' ability to solve questions. The study concludes that the instrument developed can measure students' high-level thinking skills and be used in the learning process. This research implies that the questions that have been developed can be used by teachers to measure the effectiveness of learning according to student needs.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the countries with the highest biodiversity in the world. However, this high diversity requires individual awareness and responsibility to maintain and utilize it sustainably. Therefore, biodiversity literacy is an important element, especially for students as prospective future generations who will play a role in natural resource management in the future. This study aims to evaluate the level of biodiversity literacy of students of the Biology study program at the University of Education Mandalika, by assessing six dimensions of biodiversity literacy: Conservation and Importance of Biodiversity (CIB), Ethics and Biodiversity (EB), Sustainability and Biodiversity (SB), Taking Action to Protect Biodiversity (TAPB), Biodiversity and Utility (BU), and Conservation and Importance of Species (CIS).  The method used was quantitative descriptive, involving 50 students as respondents. The instrument used consisted of 27 items that were analyzed using One Way ANOVA to determine the average score and significant differences based on gender and student scores. The results showed that the average score of biodiversity literacy obtained a score of 2.08 with a less significant category (Low Biodiversity Literacy). Most of the indicators are at an average value below 2.50, only a small number of indicators have an average value above 2.50. In the CIB dimension, only 3 indicators have an average value of > 2.50 out of 5 indicators. In the TAPB dimension, only 1 indicator has an average > 2.50. While in other dimensions, the average value < 2.50. In addition, there was no significant difference in student scores based on gender. Thus, student biodiversity literacy still needs to be improved, especially in the aspects of real action and individual responsibility.

Abstract

The integration of Sasak local wisdom into science education, particularly in biology, physics, and chemistry, offers a contextual and meaningful learning experience for students. This study explores the potential of Sasak cultural practices such as Belaq Tangkel, Poteng Rekat, Bau Nyale, and Nyesek to enrich science education. These traditions are linked to scientific concepts, including human reproduction, biodiversity, material physics, and chemical bonding. The research adopts a literature review approach to identify and map the educational potential of Sasak traditions, focusing on their relevance to scientific learning. For instance, Belaq Tangkel introduces students to embryonic development, while Kalender Rowot Sasak supports teaching astronomy. The integration of these practices promotes sustainability values, analytical skills, and cultural appreciation among students. Challenges such as limited resources and teacher training highlight the need for collaboration between educators, local communities, and researchers. This approach not only fosters cultural preservation but also enhances students’ scientific understanding, providing a holistic and sustainable educational framework. The findings underline the importance of ethnoscience in bridging traditional knowledge and modern science to create an inclusive and culturally responsive education system.

Abstract

This article discusses the role of education in traditional Sasak society in Lombok which is influenced by local wisdom related to environmental management and cultural preservation. This education involves hereditary practices that focus on ecosystem sustainability, such as the use of traditional medicinal plants which not only function as medicine, but also to maintain environmental balance. Local practices such as the Ngelowong tradition demonstrate an environmentally friendly approach that has long been part of Sasak people's lives. Education based on local wisdom also plays an important role in instilling character values, such as mutual cooperation and respect for nature, in the younger generation. These values are integrated into daily activities, helping to ensure environmental sustainability through the participation of the next generation. This research uses a literature review method, namely examining information published in a certain field of study within a certain time period. Data collection techniques involve searching for journals or books relevant to the research title. The data analysis technique uses Miles and Huberman's theory which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. With this approach, the Sasak community becomes a model for sustainable environmental management that is relevant for other indigenous communities.

Abstract

Keterbatasan kemampuan guru dalam menguasai teknologi informasi, yang berdampak pada kurang efektifnya penyampaian materi dan pencapaian tujuan pembelajaran yang tidak optimal. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis e-modul interaktif berbasis tri hita karana meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik muatan IPA. Jenis penelitian yaitu pengembangan mengacu pada model ADDIE. Subjek penelitian ini terdiri dari 2 orang ahli materi, 2 orang ahli media, 2 orang guru. Metode penelitian berupa metode non tes dengan kuesioner. Teknik analisis menggunakan analisis kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan validitas media terhadap validator diperoleh persentase 91% dari 2 orang ahli materi, 90% dari 2 orang ahli media, dilanjutkan dengan validator kepraktisan oleh 2 orang guru mendapat persentase 93% dan penilaian kepraktisan yang dilakukan oleh 11 orang peserta didik SD sebesar 90%. Pengujian untuk efektifitas dari hasil uji Paired Sample t-Test yang menunjukkan bahwa t-hitung lebih dari t-tabel (18,913 lebih dari 2,045) dan nilai probabilitas (p) kurang dari 0,05 maka dapat dinyatakan Ha ditolak. Simpulan penelitian yaitu e-modul yang dikembangkan valid dan layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Kurangnya integrasi antara pembelajaran sains dengan nilai- nilai budaya lokal menyebabkan siswa kehilangan kesempatan untuk mempelajari bagaimana ilmu pengetahuan dapat diterapkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari yang selaras dengan prinsip-prinsip keberlanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan penerapan konsep Tri Hita Karana dalam pembelajaran IPA berbasis digital di SD Negeri untuk membangun kesadaran lingkungan dan kepemimpinan berwawasan lingkungan pada siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi kasus, melibatkan siswa, guru IPA, dan kepala sekolah sebagai subjek penelitian. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi materi pembelajaran, dan kuesioner untuk menilai pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi Tri Hita Karana dalam pembelajaran IPA berbasis digital meningkatkan kesadaran lingkungan siswa dan membentuk karakter kepemimpinan yang peduli terhadap keberlanjutan alam. Pembelajaran berbasis digital juga memberikan kesempatan bagi siswa untuk terlibat dalam proyek pelestarian lingkungan, seperti kebun sekolah dan kampanye daur ulang, serta memperkuat kemampuan kolaborasi mereka. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penerapan konsep Tri Hita Karana dalam pembelajaran IPA berbasis digital dapat menjadi model yang efektif untuk membentuk generasi yang tidak hanya cerdas akademis, tetapi juga memiliki kepemimpinan yang peduli terhadap kelestarian alam.

Abstract

Peserta didik akan mudah bosan jika guru hanya menjelaskan materi secara abstrak tanpa adanya media pembelajaran yang nyata yang bisa membuat peserta didik lebih memahami meteri yang disampaikan Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menciptakan media pop-up-book berorientasi THK untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik pada topik sistem pernapasan hewan dan manusia kelas V SD. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan model ADDIE. Metode pengumpulan data dengan observasi, wawancara dan non tes. Kajian produk berdasarkan hasil validitas media terhadap validator diperoleh persentase 91% dari 2 orang ahli materi, 94% dari 2 orang ahli media, 90 % dari 2 orang ahli bahasa, dilanjutkan dengan validator kepraktisan oleh 5 orang guru mendapat persentase 91% dan penilaian kepraktisan yang dilakukan oleh 11 orang peserta didik SD sebesar 100%. Pengujian untuk efektifitas dari hasil uji Paired Sample t-Test yang menunjukkan bahwa t-hitung lebih dari t-tabel (18,913 lebih dari 2,045) dan nilai probabilitas (p) kurang dari 0,05 maka dapat dinyatakan Ha ditolak. Sehingga dinyatakan terdapat peningkatan rata-rata hasil belajar IPA topik sistem pernafasan hewan dan manusia Berorientasi THK di Kelas V SD.

Abstract

There are various problems among students when learning mathematics. One of the main problems is that individuals have different views regarding the difficulty of mathematics subjects. This research aims to analyze the resilience and self-regulation of students' mathematical competence. This type of research is causal survey research with SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) analysis techniques. The research sample consisted of 153 students, determined using the Slovin formula and selected randomly. Resilience and self-regulation data were collected through questionnaires, while mathematics competency data were collected through tests. Data were analyzed using SEM analysis. The findings show that resilience and self-regulation influence mathematical competence. Resilience has a positive effect on students' mathematical competence. Self-regulation has a positive impact on students' mathematical competence. Resilience has a positive effect on students' self-regulation. This research concludes that resilience and self-regulation influence students' mathematical competence. The research implications can contribute to mathematics learning, namely the importance of increasing mathematical competence through growing mastery for appropriate actions, which will impact achieving more optimal mathematical competence in students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi paradoks penokohan dalam cerita-cerita lisan indigenous Bali melalui pendekatan hermeneutik. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkap tiga hal pokok, yaitu ideologi perlawanan kelas terhadap ketidakadilan sosial, paradoks penokohan, dan relevansi cerita lisan indigenous bali sebagai media keterampilan bernalar kritis. Metode analisis data menggunakan pendekatan hermeneutik dengan teknik analisis yang meliputi analisis tematik untuk perlawanan kelas dan strategi penokohan, serta konteks sosial untuk mengaitkan cerita sebagai media pengembangan keterampilan bernalar kritis. Analisis ini menyoroti paradoks penokohan dalam cerita, baik dari posisi subordinat maupun dominan, yang terlibat dalam strategi perlawanan terhadap struktur kekuasaan. Penelitian ini juga menilai peran paradoks penokohan dalam menggambarkan konflik sosial dan menciptakan ruang bagi ekspresi ketidakpuasan terhadap norma-norma sosial yang tidak adil. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa cerita lisan indigenous Bali memberikan gambaran mendalam tentang perlawanan kelas subordinat melalui paradoks penokohan, dengan karakter subordinat yang mengandalkan kecerdikan dan strategi untuk menghadapi kekuasaan yang menindas. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa cerita-cerita lisan indigenous Bali yang mengandung paradoks penokohan memiliki relevansi yang kuat sebagai media keterampilan bernalar kritis. Cerita lisan indigenous Bali dapat diterapkan dalam pembelajaran melalui Narrative-Based Learning dengan langkah-langkah seperti pembacaan, diskusi, analisis konflik dan paradoks, serta refleksi dan penerapan nilai.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the philosophical perspective of the Bodo shirt as one of the traditional clothes of South Sulawesi, which will be applied in the regulations for the use of traditional clothes in schools in Makassar City. This is based on the Minister of Education and Culture Regulation Number 50 of 2022 concerning School Uniforms for Students at the Elementary and Secondary Education Levels. This study used a qualitative approach with an ethnomethodological research design. Data analysis used indexicality analysis and reflexivity analysis. This analysis is intended to provide an overview of group agreement regarding the use of Baju Bodo in elementary school policies as one of the local cultural assets as well as the implementation of ethno-policies for cultural literacy. Determination of informants was carried out by means of purposive sampling, namely researchers who determine the informants themselves to be interviewed based on representative considerations. The informants in this study included teachers, school principals, and community leaders who knew about the philosophy of the Baju Bodo and the color schemes used in the use of Baju Bodo for the Bugis people of South Sulawesi. The results of the study show that in a philosophical study the structure of the baju bodo represents the characteristics of Bugis-Makassar women in general. The distribution of colors in Baju Bodo is divided into two types, the first is in everyday life, such as children under the age of 10 wearing Baju Bodo which are usually called Waju Pella-Pella, this shirt is Ivory Yellow. This shirt is called waju pella-pella or butterfly because it depicts the world of small children who are full of joy. The yellow color of ivory is an analogy for the child to mature quickly and be ready to face life's challenges. Derived from the word maridi (ivory yellow) which means ripe.
