Abstract

In the era of digitalization of the 21st century, the ability of teachers to master digital-based learning is a must in efforts to improve the competence of teachers and students. The purpose of this study is to analyze various digital media that teachers use during online learning and after. This research was conducted by survey method. The subject of this study involved a sample of 6th grade teachers in Blitar City, totaling 55 teachers consisting of 14 male teachers and 41 female teachers with an age range of 26 - 59 years. All of the teachers involved in this study teach in both public and private schools in Blitar City. There are 4 teachers with less than five years of teaching experience, 18 teachers with five to ten years of teaching experience, 10 teachers of eleven to fifteen years of teaching experience and 23 teachers who teach more than fifteen years. Data collection is done by filling out the Google form. Data analysis was carried out simultaneously and integrated descriptively. Based on the findings above, it can be concluded that all teachers in Blitar City or 55 people use WA as a learning application. WA is also the most frequently used application with usage reaching 94.5% or 52 out of 55 survey fillers. Meanwhile, the application with the least number of users was Classpoint, which was chosen by 2 out of 55 people or around 3.6%. Classpoint and Edpuzzle are also applications that are rarely used. Ease of use is the most common reason for grade 6 teachers in Blitar City to choose learning applications, this can be seen from the data of around 37 out of 55 teachers or around 84.1%.

Abstract

The circle concept is one of the contents in mathematics that has high complexity and is still a problem in visualization and concept exploration. This study aims to develop interactive digital media on circular material based on material characteristics, learning styles, user needs, and ease of learning in various contexts which are hereinafter named Cirgeo's World media. Media Cirgeo's World was developed using the design thinking method which has five stages, namely: 1) recognize and empathize; 2) defined; 3) ideate; 4) prototypes, and; 5) tests. Based on user responses obtained using questionnaires, the results obtained are that Cirgeo's World media is able to provide convenience for users in understanding learning objectives, learning by accommodating diverse learning styles, exploring abstract concepts more dynamically, measuring learning progress, and can be directly operated on the user's smartphone. From the results of user responses, it was also found that there were still things that were not optimal in Cirgeo's World media, namely in the user's ease of understanding the instructions for using the media. This can be followed up by improving things related to the instructions for using media that are easily accessible to users based on the results of interviews with users.

Abstract

The rapid evolution of online learning necessitates the agility of future educators. Future teachers’ technological attitudes and abilities will be affected by the explication of the role of technology in learning in teacher education. Therefore, preservice teachers must be prepared to implement technology in their future classrooms. This study investigated the effect of technological pedagogical content knowledge (TPACK) competency on the technology acceptance model (TAM)-measured intention to use from two perspectives: self-confidence and self-regulation. Thus, six hypotheses are proposed to investigate the relationship between TPACK proficiency and the intent to use technology. The population of 224 preservice teachers at one Indonesian tertiary institution was analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM) to confirm five of the six hypotheses. It is stated that attitudes toward TPACK competence positively correlate with self-regulation, self-efficacy, and intent to use technology. In addition, the derived model can account for approximately 53.8% of the intention to integrate technology in the classrooms of preservice teachers.

Abstract

The research aims to see effectiveness through the perception of optimized physics learning web design through the development of on-demand microlearning video download facilities in diverse areas and access devices. Physics learning through web design, despite success in a variety of online learning methods, has major constraints on personalized learning. Individually, students have a variety of access devices and are in areas with a variable learning environment topology towards internet access. Agile development methods were developed to develop on-demand video download features on the physical learning web, and the development results were tested on MI-Ar Raudhah students based on characteristic compatibility. The development of the on-demand and simplified physical learning video download feature using microlearning is very effective for accessing students with varied Internet access devices and topologies.

Abstract

The limitation of time, cost, and manpower have been the main problems in facilitating post-training learning. Based on this issue, the research aims to develop a web-based learning platform based on knowledge management system as a learning supplement for independent post-training learning. The development of the application adopted the SECI model which stands for Socialization, Externalization, Combination, and Internalization. The system will record data used as an indicator for making decisions on the material and giving automatic recommendations for each participant. The methodology used in this study is a model proposed by Davidson-Shiver, Rasmussen, dan Lowenthal that consists of Analysis; Evaluation Planning; Concurrent Design which includes design, development, initial implementation, and formative evaluation; Full Implementation; and Summative Evaluation and Research. There are 2 data analysis techniques, qualitative data analysis to measure the accuracy of utilization procedures; and quantitative data analysis to measure technical quality in the form of media validity and learning outcomes. Based on the material expert validation, the material obtained a percentage of 98.75% which is very feasible; media expert validation gained a percentage of 81.25% with a very feasible category; small group trials obtained a percentage of 81.5% in the very feasible category; and product testing obtained a percentage of 87.125%. The results of pre-test and post-test data processing showed an average increase in learning outcomes of 41.53%, with a completeness level of learning outcomes at 90% in the very effective category. As a result, the data inferred that the media is very decent and effective to be used as a supplement for independent post-training learning.

Abstract

Elementary School students are Alpha generation children who understand technology. With today's increasingly rapid technological developments, concept maps can be used to support learning with computer technology by utilizing the CSCL model so that students can interact and collaborate anytime and anywhere online. For this reason, interactive multimedia development was carried out with CSCL learning strategies assisted by Concept Map for concept understanding of elementary school students. This development research aims to produce interactive multimedia to improve the understanding of grade 5 elementary school students in aspects of knowledge, skills, and attitudes. We use the Lee & Owens model to test the product's feasibility. In addition, to determine the improvement in learning outcomes of grade 5 elementary school students, an N-Gain Score normality test and a hypothesis test were carried out using paired sample t-test on pretest and post-test value data. The developed product is interactive multimedia with CSCL learning strategies assisted by Concept Map, and it is equipped with content in the form of reading materials, learning videos, and evaluation tests. The results of interactive multimedia validation produce excellent criteria based on material aspects, learning media aspects, and learning design. The response of grade 5 elementary school students received excellent criteria for the feasibility of multimedia learning as a learning medium. Based on the results of statistical tests, it was concluded that there was an increase in learning outcomes after using interactive multimedia with CSCL learning strategies assisted by Concept Map.
