Abstract

This study aims to describe the problems encountered in teaching the local content subject of Environmental Education (Pendidikan Lingkungan Hidup/PLH) in Class VA of SDN 059/IV Jambi. This research employed a qualitative approach using a case study method, with the research subjects consisting of the homeroom teacher and the VA class students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using the interactive model of Miles & Huberman. The results revealed several key challenges in teaching environmental education, including limited instructional time (only one lesson hour per week), a lack of relevant learning resources, and insufficiently varied teaching approaches. Other obstacles included the continued implementation of the 2006 KTSP curriculum, which no longer meets students’ current needs. Nevertheless, the teacher strived to address these challenges by utilizing supplementary teaching materials such as educational videos, involving students in practical activities like planting medicinal herbs, and providing contextual explanations tailored to students' needs. The study concludes that despite the challenges, the teacher’s creativity and flexibility enabled the PLH learning process to continue effectively. Recommendations from this study include updating the curriculum, providing more relevant learning media, and increasing parental and community involvement to support environment-based learning.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low activity of class III students at SDN 83/1 Bajubang. This research is a Classroom Action Research which aims to describe the increase in student activity through the application of the Discovery Learning model with the MIKiR approach to Indonesian content in class III. This research was conducted at SDN 83/I Bajubang. Research data obtained by means of observation, interviews and also documentation. The data in this study were analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The results of the study show that applying the discovery learning model with the MIKiR approach to the learning process can increase student activity. This increase can be seen in the data analysis of each meeting cycle. Cycle I meetings I and II were 42.85%, cycle II meeting I was 66.66%, cycle II meeting II was 80% which increased by 13.34%. In this case it is concluded that the use of the discovery learning model with the MIKiR approach can increase the activity of students in Indonesian language content in class III SDN 83/1 Bajubang. Proven by the success of this research. The activeness of students can be increased by the discovery learning model with the MIKiR approach.

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) based science learning devices have yet to be used optimally because teachers are still focused on conventional learning devices that are not IT-based. This study aims to produce science learning devices to foster digital literacy in Elementary Schools. The approach to this research is a mixed method with the type of Research and Development using the ADDIE development model. The feasibility test includes the level of validity and practicality. The data collection method uses a questionnaire. The data collection instrument uses a validity and practicality questionnaire. The study results showed a level of validation with an average percentage of 92.2% in the very valid category. The level of material validity is 90% in the very valid category. Language validation with an average of 94% in the very valid category. Media validation with an average of 92.6% in the very valid category. The level of practicality obtained an average percentage value of 87% in the convenient category, teacher response of 90% (very practical), and student response of 84% (practical). The data analysis results showed that students' average pre-test score before using AI-based Learning Devices (Modules) was 62.97, and after (post-test), it was 79.41, so student learning outcomes increased. The study results indicate that artificial intelligence (AI)-based IPAS learning devices for fostering digital literacy in elementary schools are feasible to use in the learning process. The implications of the research are that the developed IPAS learning tools can be used by teachers to improve digital literacy in students.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the implications of empiricism theory in the development of professionalism among elementary school teachers. This study is qualitative and employs a literature review method. The research seeks sources related to the empiricism movement concerning the development of professionalism among elementary school teachers. The sources for this research include books, research articles, and other supporting documents. The results of this study indicate that the empiricism movement brings a different nuance to the world of education in developing the professionalism of teachers, especially in elementary schools. This movement provides a foundation of responsibility for teachers regarding the nature of every learning practice in elementary schools through their senses. Thus, it fosters a good and accurate understanding of the needs of students, and it is hoped that students will acquire knowledge based on their experiences. The perspective of empiricism in the development of teacher professionalism also provides direction and fundamental guidelines for efforts to improve, advance, and establish a solid foundation for maintaining education.

Abstract

This study aims to produce a product in the form of an environmental education teaching module using the discovery learning model for elementary students. This research is a development research conducted using the 4D development model, which consists of define, design, develop, and disseminate. The research subjects involved teachers and students from the second-grade class of SDN 067/VIII Muaro Sekalo. Data collection techniques were the use of validation questionnaires for teacher and student responses. The collected data were analyzed using qualitative and quantitative analysis. The research results indicate the validity and practicality of the environmental education teaching module using the discovery learning model for elementary students consists of an average validity level of 4.47 with very valid category and an average practicality level of 4.81 with very practical category. It can be concluded that the development of the environmental education teaching module using the discovery learning model for elementary school students is suitable for use in the learning process.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to provide training and understanding for teachers in improving the initial reading skills of early grade students using the Silaba method. The activity was carried out at SDN 55/I Sridadi, Batanghari Regency, with the target participants being class teachers and subject teachers totaling 24 people. This activity method was carried out in several stages, the preparation stage in the form of coordination and permission, participant identification, preparation of training materials, development of evaluation instruments, and preparation of logistics and facilities. The next stage was the training implementation stage in the form of delivering theoretical materials, demonstrations and direct practice, workshops on making simple media for the Silaba method, discussions and questions and answers. The final stage was the evaluation and reporting stage in the form of analysis of evaluation data for activities that had been carried out. The results of community service activities that had been carried out at SDN 55/I Sridadi, showed that training on the use of the Silaba method to improve the initial reading skills of early grade students at SDN 55/I Sridadi provided understanding and satisfaction to teachers in efforts

Abstract

Transisi PAUD-SD merupakan masa paling riskan dan penting untuk keberhasilan belajar di sekolah dasar dan jenjang selanjutnya. Salah satu keterampilan yang penting distimulasi untuk memasuki jenjang SD adalah keterampilan literasi numerasi. Oleh karena itu perlu dipahami bagaimana merancang kegiatan pembelajaran literasi numerasi yang menyenangkan bagi siswa. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru PAUD dan SD terkait dengan penyelenggaraan pembelajaran literasi dan numerasi transisi PAUD-SD yang menyenangkan. Kegiatan dilakukan di SDN 36/V Pembengis Kuala Tungkal dengan sasaran peserta kegiatan yaini guru SD dan guru PAUD berjumlah. Kegiatan dilakukan dengan metode ceramah, diskusi, dan tanya jawab serta adanya kegiatan brainstroming dan role playing terakit dengan bentuk pembelajaran literasi dan Numerasi. Diakhir kegiatan diberikan angket untuk mengukur pemahaman peserta. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman guru terkait materi yang diberikan dapat terlihat pada tingkat pemahaman dengan persentase 88,15% dengan kategori sangat baik.

Abstract

Pemanfaaan artificial intelligence perlu dikuasai oleh guru untuk mempermudah dalam melaksanakan tugas dan mendukung kompetensi profesional salah satunya dalam membuat modul ajar. Kurangnya pemahaman guru dalam pemanfaatan artificial intelligence berdampak pada pembuatan modul ajar yang lama. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan memberikan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru dalam penyusunan modul ajar yang efektif menggunakan artificial intelligence. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di SDN 36/V Pembengis Kuala Tungkal dengan peserta seluruh guru berjumlah 19 orang. Kegiatan dilakukan dengan Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dengan beberapa tahapan yakni identifikasi kebutuhan mitra, kemudian sosialisasi dan pendampingan, pelatihan dan pembimbingan, serta evaluasi kegiatan dengan memberikan angket diakhir kegiatan. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman peserta terkait dengan penyusuan modul ajar yang efektif menggunakan artificial intelligence. Hal ini tampak dari persentase pemahaman perserta yakni 26,32% peserta sangat mengetahui, 52,63% mengetahui, dan 21,05% cukup mengetahui. Dari pengalaman peserta didapat persentase 36,84% peserta menyatakan bahwa kegiatan yang telah dilakukan sanagat memuaskan, 52,63% menyatakan memuaskan dan 10,53% menyatakan cukup memuaskan. Kegiatan ini juga memberikan dampak positif terhadapt peserta dengan persentase 84,21% sangat setuju dan 15,79% menyatakan setuju bahwa kegiatan memberikan dampak positif

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of the use of learning cycle-based science practicum instructions on the practical skills of fourth grade students of SDN 131 / IV in Jambi City. This research was carried out at SDN 131 / IV Jambi City with the research subjects were 13 grade students. This research is a quasi-experimental one group pretest posttest design. The results showed that the significance value of the pretest and posttest was -7.610 small from the alpha value of 0.05 (-7.610 <0.05) which means that there is a significant influence between the use of learning cycle-based science practicum instructions on the practical skills of grade IV elementary schools. It can be concluded that there is a significant influence between the use of learning cycle-based science practicum instructions on the practical skills of class IV SDN 131 / IV Jambi City.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian dan pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan prosedur pengembangan dan kelayakan produk pengembangan yang dihasilkan berupa Multimedia InteraktifBerbasis Keterampilan Proses Dasar  pada materi tumbuhan dan bagian-bagiannya untuk siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian  ini  menggunakan  jenis penelitian Research and Development  (penelitian dan pengembangan). Langkah–langkah dalam memgembangkan multimedia interaktif dengan mengadaptasi model pengembangan Hannafin dan Peck yang terdiri dari tiga proses utama, yaitu: tahap penilaian kebutuhan, tahap desain, tahap pengembangan dan implementasi. Kelayakan produk pengembangan diukur berdasarkan tanggapan dari ahli materi dan media. Subjek ujicoba dalam penelitian pengembangan ini adalah siswa kelas tinggi di SDN 55/I Sridadi Muara Bulian Kab. Batanghari sejumlah 9 orang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan angket validasi dan angket kepraktisan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Multimedia interaktif dan instrument penilaian berbasis keterampilan proses dasar memenuhi kelayakan dengan tingkat kevalidan multimedia interaktif dari validasi materi dengan rata-rata 3,27 kategori Valid, validasi media 3,3 kategori valid dan validasi instrument peneilaian 3,33 kategori valid. Angket respon guru terahdap multimedia interaktif  dengan rata-rata persentase 80% kategori sanagar baik, repon guru terhadap instrume  peneilaian dengan rata-rata 79,2 kategori Baik serta repon siswa dengan persentase 91,67% dengan kategori sangat baik. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa, produk yang dihasilkan telah dinyatakan valid dan praktis berdasarkan hasil uji kevalidan dan kepraktisan.Kata Kunci: Multimedia Interaktif, Instrument Penilaian, Keterampilan Proses DasarAbstract: This research and development aims to describe the development procedure and the feasibility of the development products produced in the form of Interactive Multimedia and Assessment Instruments Based on Basic Process Skills for elementary school students. This study uses a type of research and development research. Steps in developing interactive multimedia by adapting Hannafin and Peck's development model which consists of three main processes, namely: the stage of needs assessment, design stage, development and implementation stages. Feasibility of product development is measured based on responses from material and media experts. The test subjects in this development research were high-class students at SDN 55 / I Sridadi Muara Bulian, Kab. Batanghari is 9 people. Data collection was carried out using validation questionnaires and practicality questionnaires. The results showed that the interactive multimedia and skills-based assessment instruments based on the basic process fulfilled the feasibility of the level of validity of interactive multimedia from material validation with an average of 3.27 valid categories, 3.3 validation of media validations and validation of 3.33 validation instruments. Questionnaire responses of teachers were exposed to interactive multimedia with an average percentage of 80% in the category of good teachers, teacher responses to instructional assessment with an average of 79.2 categories Good and respondent with a percentage of 91.67% with very good categories. It can be concluded that, the products produced have been declared valid and practical based on the results of validity and practicality test.Keywords: Interactive Multimedia, Assessment Instruments, Basic Process Skills
