Abstract

Computational thinking and mathematics are closely related, namely mathematics plays a role in overcoming challenges and understanding concepts in computational thinking, while computational thinking ultimately simplifies and abstracts situations by formulating and presenting problems in mathematical form. The purpose of this study is to identify trends and research patterns with the topic of computational thinking in mathematics education using bibliometric analysis. Data is obtained from the dimensions database which has been refined through 4 stages (identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion). The results showed that the peak of publications related to computational thinking in mathematics education research occurred in 2022. The Journal of Science of Education and Technology became the most influential journal with the most citations, namely 877 citations even though it only with 7 publications. The United States is the most influential country in this field because of the good number of publications, the number of citations is the highest of any other country. There are three research focuses related to computational thinking in mathematics education research on the dimensions database from 2013-2023, namely, 1) mathematics, study, teacher; 2) problem, child, learning; 3) student, steam, CT skill

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the students computational thinking in the solution of the linear program problem based on self-regulated learning. The data were collected by self-regulated learning questionnaire, computational thinking test, and depth interviews. This study was conducted in SMAN 10 Tangerang. Computational thinking in students with high and medium levels of self-regulated learning has no difference. Students still make a solution that is fixated with linear program problem-solving procedures in general, that is using examples, substitution, and elimination. In solving problems, students can reach the stages of decomposition and pattern recognition only. Students still do not evaluate the results of their work. Algorithmic performed is less coherent because the abstraction has not been done. The recommendation for further research is the need for research that can develop student abstraction in solving problems. Besides, there is also a need for research that analyzes the reflective of students in computational thinking when solving problems.

Abstract

Human motor skills will decrease with age. It is very necessary to provide some exercises to maintain motor skills. Creative Craft is one of the activities that can be done to train motor skills. In this community service activity, we partnered with the Salimah Brotherhood. Salimah has an elderly school with several programs in it, one of which is motor training. The problem in motor training here is the lack of media and facilitators, therefore we offer to provide training in making lavender flower handicrafts made from plastic straws. The results of the training are lavender flower crafts which will later be exhibited at the Salimah bazaar. The activity was carried out using a demonstration and mentoring model, considering that the participants were elderly. This activity has a positive impact, where the elderly will have better trained motor skills, be more independent, more confident because they are old but can still be creative. Another positive impact is that the elderly are more motivated in living their lives because in the future they can create more works. In conclusion, this activity is very positive and can be used as a routine activity in seniors' schools. Because there are quite a lot of benefits in supporting the quality of life of the elderly.ABSTRAKKemampuan motorik manusia akan menurun seiring bertambahnya usia.
