This research uses descriptive qualitative method. The data sources are taken from books, journals and supporting documents related to research. The main characteristics in the research come from the natural / reality background at Panjatan State Junior High School by observing, interviewing, and analyzing documents. After the data is collected, the researcher analyzes and then concludes the results of the data that have been obtained. The results of this study are the motifs in the Gebleg Renteng batik, including Gebleg in the form of a figure eight combined into one bond (jointly), the kacer bird, the mangosteen fruit, the binangun symbol, the Kulon Progo logo, up and down patterns and other variations. Gebleg Renteng's batik motif can be taken from a philosophical value, namely nationalism. Values are always associated with moral ethics or character so that the philosophical values in Gebleg Renteng's batik can be used to foster students' nationalistic attitudes through learning. An attitude of nationalism must be instilled in the younger generation in order to understand the importance of the Indonesian struggle for independence. The value contained in Gebleg Renteng's batik is nationalism in accordance with what is the basis of the Republic of Indonesia, namely Pancasila. Pancasila is an Indonesian state ideology which has very meaningful values in building the nation and state. Pancasila is taken from the values of customs, cultural and religious values that exist in the life of the Indonesian people so that Pancasila must be maintained for the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.

Abstract

An educator is required to continue to make updates in the learning process carried out, especially in learning media innovations that can support face-to-face and online learning. This study aims to determine the results of the feasibility analysis of interactive e-flipbook media oriented toward contextual approaches to science learning in elementary schools. This research uses a research and development approach, especially the design of the ADDIE. The subjects of the study were grade V students of an Elementary School in Surakarta. Data collection techniques include questionnaires and interviews. Data analysis is done using descriptive analysis. The results showed that the results of media expert validation obtained an average score of 4.38 in the very good category, and material expert validation obtained an average score of 4.59 in the very good category. Then the results of student responses to interactive e-flipbook products at the time of the initial trial, which included a one-to-one trial, obtained an average score of 3.54 included in the very good criteria; a small group trial obtained an average score of 3.37 included in the good criteria; and a field trial obtained an average score of 3.21 included in the good criteria. In addition, the results of the t-test at the field trial stage show that the value of probability or sig. (2-tailed) which is 0.000 < 0.05 and the coefficient = 4.688 greater than the coefficient value ttab = 2.018 then H0 is rejected meaning that there is an average difference in students' critical thinking ability scores between the experimental class and the control class at the field trial stage. The average post-test score in the experimental class was 83.45 and the average post-test score in the control class was 75.68. The average difference is 7.773. Thus, interactive e-flipbook media oriented towards contextual approaches is said to be feasible and can be used in science learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

The Dick and Carey model is a learning-development model. Each step in the model is systematic and sequential. There are ten steps explained by Dick and Carey, and in this article, the focus is on the sixth step, namely developing learning strategies. The educator, in this case, must design an effective strategy for every learning process to ensure it effectively achieves the expected goals. This article examines various relevant literature as a foundation for designing chemistry learning as a reference for the development of chemistry students, for example, in high school F-phase reaction rate material. The results of the development of the Dick and Carey model learning strategy on reaction rate material show the components of teaching, testing, and follow-up of the learning strategy. In addition, constructivism incorporates learning strategies as an integral part of its teaching methodology. This article provides a complete understanding of designing learning strategies specifically for chemistry subjects using the Dick and Carey model

Abstract

Kurikulum Merdeka is one of the government's efforts to realize Independent Learning policy (Merdeka Belajar), especially at the Primary and Middle School levels. This research aims to analyze the philosophical basis of the Kurikulum Merdeka as well as a comparison of History subjects in the 2013 Curriculum and the Merdeka Curriculum. The research method uses literature review with analytical techniques from Miles and Huberman, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The philosophical foundation of the Merdeka Curriculum comes from Ki Hadjar Dewantara's educational ideas and constructivism theory. Based on the comparison results, the similarities regarding the History subject in the Kurikulum Merdeka and the Kurikulum 2013 lie in the paradigm, namely using student-centered learning. In the Kurikulum Merdeka there are new terms in learning design, namely differentiated learning and teaching at the right level, but in essence these two terms are part of the student-centered learning paradigm. The differences between the Merdeka Curriculum and the 2013 Curriculum are in several aspects, namely planning, time allocation, subject objectives, internalized character values, learning design, scope of material, learning outcomes, assessment, and aspects of grade promotion.

Abstract

Reading motivation is an important predictor of reading achievement in elementary school. Electronic book or digital book is one of the media that students can always access by technological assistance. This study aims to determine the urgency and potential of developing a teaching material product in the form of E-Book based multimodal approach on reading motivation for elementary school students. This research is included in the mixed method approach using explanatory sequential design. The research subjects consisted of teachers and 79 students in fifth grade. The data collected in this study are qualitative and quantitative data. Qualitative data was collected using observation techniques, and interviews whose instruments were observation sheets and interview guidelines. Quantitative data was collected using non-test techniques, namely questionnaires and followed by questionnaires as instruments. Furthermore, the research data will be analyzed descriptively with interactive analysis through data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that during the implementation of learning, teachers only used teaching materials in the form of printed books that causes students to be lazy to read and student responses stated that they needed interesting ICT-based teaching materials to increase engagement, reading habit and motivation to read which in this case as many as 94% of students agreed if there was development in interactive teaching materials in e-book format for language learning. Therefore, this study concluded that to encourage good reading habits among students, schools especially teachers should provide access to learning using ebooks and sufficient facilities to accommodate all students. Implication of this study can be a reference for teachers to develop similar electronic media. Librarians should intensify their efforts to create more reading awareness among students.
