Abstract

Hardiness is a series of personalities in every human being acquired through genetic inheritance and accumulation of life experience. A person will have hardiness if he has good self-commitment, self-control, and self-challenge. In addition to genetic inheritance, hardiness formation can also occur through situations and conditions encountered, which creates a convenience toward the situation being experienced, experienced and done. One of the vital functions of a person, especially a wife who acts as the backbone of the family, is creating self-defence so that she feels stronger and more convenient in dealing with any problem in life.  This research employs a qualitative method using a case study approach where the researcher observes all family activities. In this research, the researcher is taking a role as the main instrument of data collection and identification by exposing and describing the data toward the research object. For validity, field data revision, and source triangulation. This research suggests seven problems associated with a wife who acts as the backbone of a family. These include a. self-time management, b. self-hesitant and doubt, c. self-enforcement to work, d. lack of social support from their family and surrounding, e. lack of tolerance or empathy, f. ignorance and Negligence from their family and surrounding, g. they are becoming the object of talk (bullying). Abstract

This review of the literature aims to explain why Solution-Focused Brief Counseling (SFBC) is appropriate as an approach in helping individuals achieve resilience, after experiencing certain traumatic events. This study was motivated by the need for a conceptual explanation of what approaches can be recommended so that recovery of post-traumatic psychological conditions and the achievement of resilience can be carried out with more efficient and effective processes. The method used in this study was comparative analysis, involving a variety of relevant literature to identify alignment concepts between SFBC and resilience. The intended literature includes reference books, reputable scientific journal articles, and various information from credible sources. The results of the study show that there are points of similarity in the two theories, both in terms of basic assumptions and concepts related to the intervention process which confirms the relevance and accuracy of the use of SFBC in helping individuals achieve post-traumatic resilience. This study can then be used as a scientific foothold for the application of SFBC in an effort to increase individual resilience in various contexts.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to analyze teachers' attitudes towards inclusive education and how they impacted on the successful practice of inclusive education. This research was a literature review study with analysis descriptive techniques. Electronic data sources in the form of ScienceDirect, SAGE and Google Scholar were used to collect data. There were 12 journals in the last 10 years that met the criteria. The results showed that most journals suggest that teachers have a positive attitude towards inclusive education. The positive attitude of teachers towards inclusive education can be assessed from the readiness of the teacher to accept children with special needs into the classroom. Communities with a culture of individualism tend to have positive attitudes towards inclusive education and can accept special needs children into the classroom. Experience, length of teaching and training affect differences in teacher attitudes towards inclusive education. Self-efficacy is found to be closely related to teachers' attitudes towards inclusive education.

Abstract

Previous research (Hendriani, Retnowati, and Koesbardiati, 2011) has found that coping is the mechanism that determines adaptation and attainment of individual resilience in changing conditions become persons with disabilities. Among the active coping sequences identified, the individual's positive meaning of crithical events raises a motivational effect and reinforces the individual to be able to adapt to new life as a person with a disability. This study aimed to follow up the findings by exploring deeper positive meaning of participants who meet resilient criteria. A qualitative phenomenological approach was used to achieve that goal. The study participants were four of eight individuals with disability that also participated in the previous research (Hendriani, Retnowati, dan Koesbardiati, 2011). Researchers used in-depth interviews to extract data, and analyzed them with interpretive phenomenological analysis techniques. The results showed that each participant has a typical positive meaning to the event that made them experience disability. The meaning raises the other positive coping strategies that enable the individual to rise from significant psychological pressure, accept the disability and become empowered.

Abstract

Student engagement is an important aspect of an individual's school adaptation and adjustment to changes . Students who engage in learning will be more likely to succeed in their studies and get good performance. This study aimed to determine the effect of positive emotions on student engagement with academic psychological capital as a mediator. This study adopted a survey method in which 396 seventh grade students of nine junior high schools in Surabaya city participated in cluster random sampling and stratified random sampling was employed as recruitment strategies. The data collected were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares approach. Results indicate that academic psychological capital partially mediates the influence of positive emotions on student engagement. Partial mediation shows that positive emotions have a direct influence on students' engagement to the existence of academic psychological capital as a mediator.
