Abstract

The community service activity partner is KWT Berkah Tani 2 Ngasem Village, Central Java. KWT Berkah Tani 2 and the surrounding community already have a place to cultivate plants and, in this area, they produce a lot of organic waste per day, not all of the organic waste produced is utilized. Therefore, the aim of this service is to provide education about hydrotone compost to KWT Berkah Tani 2. We introduced an innovation, especially in utilizing organic waste into compost as a mixture of hydrotone. The solution offered is developing environmentally based education at KWT Berkah Tani 2 by holding educational activities on making compost hydrotone for the Ngasem village community. Service activities are carried out in four phases using socialization, practice and application methods. The four phases are socialization and preparation, preparation of tools and materials, implementation of activities (making hydrotone compost and application to plants) as well as coaching and supervision. Hydrotone is not only an innovative solution in waste management, but has also been proven to increase environmentally friendly agricultural efficiency.

Abstract

Tanaman Obat di Indonesia sangatlah banyak jenisnya. Seperti jenis-jenis Curcuma terdapat 51 genus dan 1200 spesies tumbuhan yang termasuk ke dalam familia Zingiberaceae. Hanya saja mengenai kandungan senyawa aktifnya yang terkait dengan peranan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari masih terbatas. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman mengenai kandungan senyawa kimia yang terdapat pada beberapa jenis rimpang Curcuma dan manfaatnya bagi kesehatan. Dalam program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini, kami melibatkan siswa/i SMK Wirasaba dan SMAN 2 Karawang melalui penyuluhan dan edukasi tentang kandungan senyawa aktif, dan pemanfaatan rimpang Curcuma, seperti Curcuma zedoaria, dan Curcuma heyneana Val.et van Zijp. Metodologi yang diterapkan mencakup presentasi, diskusi interaktif, serta memberikan leaflet. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa peserta sangat antusias untuk menerapkan pengetahuan baru mengenai manfaat senyawa aktif, seperti curcumin, minyak atsiri, dan flavonoid yang ada dalam rimpang tersebut. Melalui pengabdian ini, dapat menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman tentang manfaat kesehatan dan peran kimia Curcuma, serta peningkatan minat dalam menciptakan produk kesehatan yang bersumber dari lokal dan akses yang lebih baik ke informasi yang relevan, menyoroti potensinya untuk meningkatkan kesehatan dan kesejahteraan masyarakat secara keseluruhan.

Abstract

Science learning is an effort to discover scientific truths through a series of thought processes. The demands of 21st-century science learning are learning that develops students' thinking skills. One learning model that is expected to train students' thinking skills is problem-based learning (PBL). This research aims to analyze the influence of the PBL learning model assisted by mind mapping on the science learning outcomes of class VII students at SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Surakarta for the 2022/2023 academic year. This research is a quasi-experimental research with a non-equivalent control group design. Samples were taken randomly, with 1 class as the control class and 1 class as the experimental class. The learning outcomes analyzed include cognitive, affective, and psychomotor learning outcomes. Data analysis was carried out using an independent sample t-test. Based on the research and data analysis results, there is a significant influence of the application of the PBL learning model assisted by mind mapping on students' science learning outcomes.

Abstract

Pembelajaran tematik integratif merupakan pembelajaran tematik dengan mengintegrasikan dan menggabungkan beberapa pelajaran guna memberikan siswa suatu pengalaman yang berharga. Pembelajaran tematik integratif mengupayakan kreativitas tinggi serta ikut memperbarui pengalamannya dalam kemajuan pembelajaran e-learning. Namun, tidak semua guru PAUD mampu untuk menerapkan pembelajaran tematik integratif secara daring dengan maksimal. Maka dari itu, pengabdian dilaksanakan  dengan memberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan  kepada semua guru dan kepala sekolah. Tujuan pengabdian adalah untuk mengajarkan e-learning kepada guru Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini agar guru memiliki pengetahuan yang baik tentang e-learning, sehingga mampu mengembangkan dan menerapkan pembelajaran tematik integratif secara sistematis. Sampel pengabdian adalah TK Dirasatul Aulad Jama’atul Ikhwan Surakarta. Hasil pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa guru TK Dirasatul Aulad Jama’atul Ikhwan Surakarta lebih memahami terkait pengelolaan dan penerapan e-learning PAUD, sehingga dapat mencapai tujuan pendidikan yang lebih optimal secara efektif dan efisien serta membuat peserta didik lebih semangat dalam mengikuti pembelajaran selama masa sekolah di rumah baik dengan guru maupun dengan orang tuanya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi dampak penggunaan e-modul yang berbasis pada pendekatan Scientific Sense Inquiry (SSI) terhadap literasi sains dan hasill belajar Ilmul Pengetahuan Alaml (IPA) padal siswa kelasl VII di SMPN 5 Sukoharjo untuk tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Metode penelitian adalahl kuantitatif denganl desain lquasi-eksperimen, melibatkan dua kelas VII sebagai sampel; kelas VII C sebagai kelompok eksperimen dengan 32 siswa yang menggunakan e-modul, dan kelas VII D sebagai kelompok kontrol dengan 32 siswa yang mengikuti metode pembelajaran konvensional. Data dikumpulkan melalui pretest dan posttest untuk mengukur literasi sains dan hasil belajar IPA. Pemilihan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian mencakup e-modul dan evaluasi berupa tes literasi sains dan hasil belajar. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif, uji normalitas Shapiro-Wilk, uji homogenitas Levene, dan Independent Samples T-test untuk menilai perbedaan signifikan antara kedua kelompok. Analisisl data menunjukkanl adanya peningkatan yang signifikanl dalam kedua aspek tersebut padal kelompok eksperimenl jika dibandingkan denganl kelompok lkontrol. Hasil ujil t-test untuk hasil belajar IPA memperlihatkan nilai signifikansi <0.001, yang juga tercermin dalam literasi sains. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwal penggunaan le-modul berbasisl SSI dapat secara efektif meningkatkanl keterlibatan siswa serta pemahaman mereka terhadap materi sains.

Abstract

Polyethylene (PE) plastic is one of the most widely used for multiple purposes and leading the environmental problems. Lipolytic bacteria are promising agents to reduce the plastic waste. The dry weight of PE plastic was reduced by 33 % in the Winogradsky's column after 45 days of incubation. However, the lipolytic bacteria responsible for those reduction was unknown. This study aimed to characterize and identify the potential lipolytic bacterial isolates forming biofilm on polyethylene PE plastics. Samples of lipolytic bacterial isolates were screened on tributyrin selective media based on the formed clear zone. Moreover, the 16S rRNA genes of the two most potential lipolytic bacterial isolates were amplified. Then, the amplicons of the 16S rRNA gene were sequenced. This study found two potential lipolytic bacteria isolates, AB A-2 and AB M-3, which had the characteristics of round colonies, wavy edges, convex surfaces, and milky white color. The two isolates are gram-positive and have the shape of Coccobacillus cells. The molecular identification showed that AB A-2 isolate was Bacillus sp., while AB M-3 isolate was Bacillus amyloliquefaciens. This finding contributes to novel bacterial isolates that potentially overcoming the plastic waste problem.

Abstract

SMP Muhammadiyah 7 Program Unggulan Colomadu (SMP MUTU) mencanangkan program unggulan berupa pembelajaran berbasis teknologi informasi. Namun, keterampilan guru dalam hal mengembangkan multimedia pembelajaran interaktif berbasis Information Communication and Technology (ICT) masih perlu ditingkatkan. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam mengembangkan multimedia pembelajaran interaktif. Multimedia interaktif dikembangkan menggunakan aplikasi Articulate Storyline versi 3.12. Kegiatan ini meliputi empat tahapan umum, yaitu (1) sosialisasi dan persiapan, (2) penyiapan modul pelatihan, (3) pelaksanaan, dan (4) evaluasi dan monitoring. Empat tahap tersebut dilaksanakan secara tatap muka dan virtual dan diikuti oleh 12 guru SMP MUTU. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa nilai penguasaan materi pelatihan oleh guru berkisar antar 67,85 sampai dengan 100. Sedangkan kategori nilai individu guru tentang penguasaan materi pelatihan adalah baik dengan jumlah 3 orang dan sangat baik dengan jumlah 9 orang. Pada akhir kegiatan, lebih dari 83% guru merespon kegiatan ini dengan sangat baik dalam hal peningkatan kualitas multimedia pembelajaran interaktif. Pelatihan meningkatkan kemampuan guru di SMP MUTU dalam mengembangkan multimedia pembelajaran interaktif berbasis ICT. Training on Development of Interactive Learning Multimedia at SMP MUTU Using Articulate Storyline   Teachers' skills at SMP Muhammadiyah 7 Colomadu (SMP MUTU) in developing technology-based interactive learning multimedia need to be improved. This program aims to provide a training to the teachers of SMP MUTU in developing interactive learning multimedia. Interactive multimedia was developed using the Articulate Storyline application version 3.12. This program includes four general stages, namely (1) socialization of activities, (2) preparation of training modules, (3) implementation, and (4) evaluation. The four stages were carried out by face-to-face and virtual methods. The results of the evaluation showed that the value of mastery of training materials by teachers ranged from 67.85 to 100 scores. In addition, three teachers belong to the category of good and nine teachers belong to the category of excellent in terms of mastery of training materials. Also, more than 83% of teachers responded very well to this program in terms of improving the quality of interactive learning multimedia. In summary, this program can provide significant understanding and experience to teachers at SMP MUTU in developing interactive learning multimedia

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the implementation of sharia principles in microfinance in Indonesia through the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The SLR method was chosen because it allows researchers to collect and analyze various related literature systematically, in order to provide a comprehensive picture of the implementation of sharia principles in the microfinance sector in Indonesia. This study identifies relevant literature based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, focusing on studies published in the last 4-5 years that discuss the implementation of sharia principles in microfinance. Furthermore, a thematic analysis was conducted to identify patterns, trends, and challenges faced by sharia microfinance institutions in implementing sharia principles. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of sharia principles in microfinance in Indonesia has great potential to improve the economic welfare of the community, especially in terms of financial inclusion. However, significant challenges related to the community's understanding of sharia principles and the lack of supporting regulations are still major obstacles to its development. Nevertheless, sharia microfinance continues to show great potential in providing solutions for community economic empowerment. This study suggests the need for strengthening policies, increasing public education on sharia principles in microfinance, and product and service innovations that are more in line with market needs. The successful implementation of sharia principles is highly dependent on effective collaboration between financial institutions, government, and the community.

Abstract

The main issue faced by MSMEs in Kalangan Hamlet, Kebon Agung, Imogiri, is the limited knowledge of digital marketing and the lack of innovation in product design. This hinders their competitiveness in the market. The program on digital marketing and product design for MSME actors in Kalangan Hamlet was conducted as an effort to enhance entrepreneurs' understanding and skills in developing more effective and innovative marketing strategies. The goal of this Community Service program is to provide insights into the importance of digital marketing, utilizing social media, and applying attractive product designs to increase sales value. The method used in this program is socialization, which includes delivering materials, interactive discussions, and providing examples of marketing strategies and product designs that align with market trends. The training participants are residents of Kalangan Hamlet who have home-based industries. The socialization and training took place on February 8, 2025, at the Kendalisada Arts Center, Kalangan. The instructors were faculty members and students from UMY. The results of the socialization and training showed that participants gained a better understanding of how to utilize social media as a marketing tool, create engaging content strategies, and the importance of product design that aligns with brand identity. Most participants recognized the need to adapt to technological advancements and began considering the implementation of digital strategies in their businesses. However, challenges arose in direct implementation, particularly the limited access to technology and the readiness of resources. Therefore, follow-up actions such as mentorship or the formation of an MSME community are necessary to ensure the sustainability of the strategies that have been socialized. With this program, it is expected that MSMEs in Kalangan Hamlet will be better prepared to face increasingly competitive market challenges and enhance the sustainable growth of their businesses

Abstract

In the rapidly developing digital era, the metaverse is increasingly becoming an integral part of human life, including in the world of education. Metaverse, as a three-dimensional virtual world, has great potential to change the learning paradigm into immersive and engaging interactive experiences. The use of the metaverse in interactive learning has become an interesting focus of exploration, along with advances in virtual reality and augmented reality technology. This opens the door to the exploration of new concepts through simulations, educational games, and global collaboration, freeing learning from the limitations of the conventional classroom. Engaging learning experiences, hands-on simulations in virtual environments, and global collaboration are the advantages of interactive learning through the metaverse. The literature review covers various types of metaverses, their potential in learning, their implementation in economic education, and interactive learning media based on Articulate Storyline 3. Although metaverses have a positive impact in improving the learning experience, ethical challenges such as accessibility, data security, and inclusivity need to be considered. The research results show that, although the metaverse opens a dynamic and exciting new era in digital education, certain limitations must be carefully addressed to ensure that the use of the metaverse in education provides maximum benefits for all students.   Abstrak Dalam era digital yang berkembang pesat, metaverse semakin menjadi bagian integral dari kehidupan manusia, termasuk dalam dunia pendidikan. Metaverse, sebagai dunia maya tiga dimensi, memiliki potensi besar untuk mengubah paradigma pembelajaran menjadi pengalaman interaktif yang mendalam dan menarik. Pemanfaatan metaverse dalam pembelajaran interaktif menjadi fokus eksplorasi yang menarik, seiring dengan kemajuan teknologi virtual reality dan augmented reality. Ini membuka pintu untuk eksplorasi konsep baru melalui simulasi, permainan edukatif, dan kolaborasi global, membebaskan pembelajaran dari keterbatasan ruang kelas konvensional. Pengalaman pembelajaran yang menarik, simulasi praktik langsung dalam lingkungan virtual, dan kolaborasi global menjadi keuntungan pembelajaran interaktif melalui metaverse. Tinjauan literatur mencakup berbagai jenis metaverse, potensinya dalam pembelajaran, implementasinya dalam pendidikan ekonomi, dan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis Articulate Storyline 3. Meskipun metaverse memberikan dampak positif dalam meningkatkan pengalaman belajar, tantangan etika seperti aksesibilitas, keamanan data, dan inklusivitas perlu diperhatikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, meskipun metaverse membuka era baru dalam pendidikan digital yang dinamis dan menarik, keterbatasan tertentu harus diatasi dengan cermat untuk memastikan bahwa penggunaan metaverse dalam pendidikan memberikan manfaat yang maksimal bagi seluruh peserta didik.
