Abstract

Abstract: The background of this research was the phenomenon that emerged in a pre-survey that was previously conducted in March 2021 on students of SMPN 1 Kampar Utara. The formulation of the problem is the role of parents in guiding children in face-to-face learning during the new normal for students of SMPN 1 Kampar Utara. The purpose of this study was to find out the role of parents in guiding children in face-to-face learning during the new normal for students of SMPN 1 Kampar Utara. The method of this research was descriptive quantitative research. The instrument of data collection in this research was a questionnaire that consisted of 25 statements and interviews. The population of this research consisted of 66 respondents from 66 samples. It was determined by using a saturated sampling technique (census sampling). Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the data of the role of parents in guiding children in face-to-face learning during the new normal period at SMPN 1 Kampar Utara was categorized in the "Good" category. It can be seen from the statistics obtained from questionnaires given. Statistics show that 31% of the students strongly agreed, and 36% agreed. with the total result of 67%, with a range of 50.01% - 75%. Thus, the role of parents in guiding children in face-to-face learning during the New Normal period at SMPN 1 Kampar Utara students was categorized in "Good" category.Key Words: the role of parents, tutoring, new normal learning, students

Abstract

Abstract:This research is motivated by the lack of student’s interest in participating in student organizations, through research conducted on students of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), most students think that organizing will only add to the routine that makes students less than optimal in carrying out the obligations of the learning process in the classroom, even though departing from this, student organizations are a forum that is able to grow a credible character through positive activities carried out by student organizations so as to form a bright, competent generation, to build the nation in the future. Formulation of the problem in this research is about the factors that influence student interest in joining the student executive board organization at FKIP Universitas Riau. The purpose of this research is to find out the factors that influence student interest in joining the student executive board organization at FKIP Universitas Riau. The sample in this study was taken using a purposive sampling technique. This research method is descriptive quantitative. The data collection instrument used in this study is a questionnaire consisting of 2 indicators with 14 questions, which will then be analyzed using the percentage analysis technique method. . From the results of the study, it can be seen that external and internal factors that influence FKIP students in joining the Student Executive Board organization at FKIP Universitas Riau,It can be concluded that the answer strongly agrees with the percentage of 39.4% plus the answer agrees with an average percentage of 52.65% totaling 92.05%, according to the benchmark it is in the range of 75.01% - 100%. So the factors that influence the interest of FKIP students in participating in the Student Executive Board organization at FKIP Universitas Riau can be said to be "Very High"Key Words: Interests, Students, Student Organizations.

Abstract

Abstract: This research was motivated by the role of the General Election Commission (KPU) of Kuantan Singingi Regency in promoting voter education during the COVID-19 pandemic in the Regional Head Election 2020. The formulation of the problem in this study is how the voter education method was carried out by the KPU in the 2020 Pilkada during the COVID-19 pandemic in Kuantan Singingi Regency, as well as what obstacles were experienced by the general election commission in disseminating voter education during the COVID-19 pandemic in the district of Kuantan Singingi. The purpose of this study was to find out what methods were used by the KPU in disseminating voter education in the 2020 elections during the COVID-19 pandemic in Kuantan Singingi Regency and to find out what the obstacles were for the KPU in Kuantan Singingi Regency in disseminating voter education during the COVID-19 pandemic. Data collection techniques in this study were observation, interviews, documentation, and literature. The informants in this study consisted of six people, namely KPU officers from Kuantan Singingi Regency, three (3) people, and the community of three (3) people. The technique of data analysis in this study used a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The findings in this study explained several methods that were considered effective, such as utilizing social networks, using banners or billboards, and mobile cars. The obstacles experienced by the KPU in socializing voter education, which are considered quite serious, are geographical factors, the COVID-19 pandemic factor, the change in schedule factor, the budget factor. Abstract

Abstract: This research is motivated by the spread of covid-19 which has an impact on various aspects of life including the field of education. Online learning has both positive and negative impacts in the learning process. Ineffective online learning will cause students to tend to be lazy and forget about their learning responsibilities. In the context of education, learning responsibilities have a very important role in efforts to improve the effectiveness of online learning. In this study researchers examined the comparison of the character of student responsibility in online learning of PKn subjects between male and female students at Al Huda Pekanbaru High School. The method used in this study was a comparative and quantitative method. The population in this study was all students of class XII majoring in IPA and IPS at Al Huda Pekanbaru High School as many as 81 students, consisting of 29 male students and 52 female students. Sampling methods use sampling quota techniques. The sample taken in this study was 58 students. It consists of 29 men students and 29 female students. The data collection technique used in this study is to use observations and questionnaires. The data analysis technique used in this study is to use statistical tests. The statistical test result was to compare two data groups namely male and female students with a result of 0.017 and a score of 0.017 < 0.05 (2-tailed < 0.05), then Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. It can be concluded that there is a difference in the character of responsibility in online learning of PKn subjects between male and female students at Al Huda Pekanbaru High School.Key Words: Comparison, Responsibility Character, Online Learning, Students.

Abstract

Abstract: This research was motivated by Rohis extracurricular activities thatcontinue to carry out activities during the Covid-19 pandemic and the social carecharacter possessed by students at SMK Negeri 1 Pekanbaru. The formulation of theproblem in this study is whether there is an effect of Rohis extracurricular during theCovid-19 pandemic on the establishment of social care characters at SMK Negeri 1Pekanbaru. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was an effect ofRohis extracurricular during the Covid-19 pandemic on the establishment of social carecharacters at SMK Negeri 1 Pekanbaru. The theoretical benefits of research are toincrease knowledge, insight and understanding for schools regarding the influence ofRohis extracurriculars during the Covid-19 pandemic on the establishment of socialcare characters at SMK Negeri 1 Pekanbaru. The practical benefits of research are as areference for further research. The research population was 62 students who took partin Rohis extracurricular at SMK Negeri 1 Pekanbaru. Determination of the sample inthe study using a total sampling technique. Data collection methods are observation,interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. Processing of data with quantitativedescriptive statistical analysis using a simple linear regression formula assisted by theSPSS version 25 application. The hypothesis in this study is accepted, where there is aneffect Rohis extracurriculars during the Covid-19 pandemic on the establishment ofsocial care characters at SMK Negeri 1 Pekanbaru. This is based on the calculation ofthe coefficient of determination (R Square) of 0.305 which implies that the effect of theindependent variable (extracurricular Rohis) on the dependent variable (social carecharacter) is 30.5%, with moderate interpretation results.Key Words: effect, extracurricular, rohis, caring, social.

Abstract

Kresnayana merupakan narasi yang memiliki landasan kokoh dalam kebudayaan masyarakat Nusantara. Salah satu bentuk narasi tentang Sri Kresna ini ditemukan pada relief Candi Penataran. Epos ini memiliki nilai dan makna yang sangat dalam, yang salah satunya lah nilai kepemimpinan. Guna menurunkan dan mengenalkan nilai tersebut pada generasi muda (pelajar), maka perlu diadakan transformasi bentuk, dari relief ke bentuk media yang lebih ramah bagi remaja atau pelajar. Bentuk yang dipilih adalah sendratari. Bentuk ini dipilih selain karena aspek estetika, juga mempertimbangakn sarana dan prasarana yang tersedia di sekolah. Guna mempersiapkan sendratari tersebut, dibutuhkan tahapan alih wahana visual (relief)-teks (naskah) dan tahapan naskah-lakuan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh sikap dan aktivitas altruisme serta pengaruhnya terhadap motivasi belajar siswa di Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) yang semakin mendapatkan perhatian dari berbagai kalangan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh sikap altruisme terhadap motivasi belajar siswa Kelas VIII di Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP). Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui dokumentasi dan kuesioner. Populasi dan jumlah sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 84 responden. Berdasarkan uji analisis regresi linier sederhana, didapatkan hasil nilai dari signifikansi (Sig.) sebesar 0,000 ? 0.050, sehingga terdapat pengaruh antar variabel X dan variabel Y. Diketahui pula bahwa nilai Ftabel sebesar 3,957 (tingkat keyakinan sebesar 95% dan tingkat signifikansi 5%, uji signifikansi satu arah), maka nilai Fhitung sebesar 28.945 ? nilai Ftabel sebesar 3,957 bermakna bahwa antar variabel X terhadap variabel Y berpengaruh positif dan signifikan. Dan nilai koefisien korelasi (R) sebesar 0,511 bermakna bahwa antar variabel X dan variabel Y memiliki korelasi dengan tingkatan ‘sedang’ dan nilai dari koefisien determinasi (R2) sebesar 0,261, bermakna pengaruh antar variabel X  terhadap variabel Y sebesar 26,1% sedangkan sebesar 73,9% dipengaruhi oleh variabel atau faktor lain

Abstract

Lembaga pendidikan terasa mengalami tantangan yang sangat kompleks, seiring dengan kompleksitas persoalan di abad ke-21 yang muncul ditengah-tengah masyarakat kita. Oleh karena itu pendidikan di negeri ini mestinya punya konsep tersendiri yang benar-benar sesuai dengan falsafah bangsa Indonesia, dan hal itu yang mulai merosot dimana pendidikan mengarah pada praktek liberalis dan kapitalis serta penindasan-penindasan sehingga pendidikan semakin jauh dari nilai-nilai budaya bangsa Indonesia. Tan malakapernah meletakkan landasan dasar pendidikan yaitu: Pendidikan adalah dasar untuk melepaskan bangsa dari keterbelakangan dan kebodohan serta belenggu Imperialisme-Kolonialisme. Tan Malaka menekankan pada materi pendidikan dan mengenai hal itu dapat disimpulkan menjadi tiga bagian yaitu:Memberi senjata yang cukup buat mencari kehidupan dalam dunia kemodalan (berhitung, membaca, menulis, ilmu bumi, bahasa asing, bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa daerah,Memberi haknya terhadap murid-murid yakni harus dengan jalan pergaulan,Menujukkan kewajiban terhadap berjuta-juta kaum Kromo (rakyat jelata).Pemikiran Tan Malaka mengenai pendidikan dianggap sebagai modal dasar bagi kemajuan dari bangsa yang merdeka dalam politik, ekonomi, sosial dan budaya sehingga menjadi bangsa yang sejajar dengan bangsa-bangsa lain di dunia. Praktek pendidikan Tan Malaka bisa disebut sebagai pedagogik transformatif, yaitu proses memanusiakan manusia untuk dapat membentuk masyarakat baru dan pengetahuan baru yang diciptakan oleh keterlibatan mereka sendiri. Hal ini mengusahakan agar pendidikan di posisikan supaya masyarakat mempunyai kesadaran dari pendidikan yang tertindas dan tertinggal. Setelah sadar, diharapkan masyarakat dapat membongkar tatanan atau relasi sosial yang tidak adil dan mengembalikan kemanusian manusia. Pemikiran pendidikan kritis yang digagas dan di implememntasi oleh Tan Malaka pada masa pra-kemerdekaan selayaknya menjadi inspirasi dan landasan pendidikan nasional yang berkarakter pancasila sesuai kebudayaan bangsa Indonesia dan jauh dari praktek- praktek pendidikan yang liberalis serta kapitalis sehingga merubah atau menodai pendidikan yang berdasarkan falsafah bangsa Indonesia yaitu Pancasila.

Abstract

Abstrak: Video pembelajaran menjadi sesuatu yang tidak bisa dielakkan dalam proses pembelajaran selama pandemic sebab media ini menunjang keefektifan dan efisiensi waktu dalam penjabaran materi kepada peserta didik. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan keterampilan untuk merancang dan membuat video pembelajaran. Metode dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah pelatihan dan pendampingan, artinya setelah dijelaskan secara detail dan panjang lebar mengenai proses membuat video, para peserta akan diminta untuk membuat video pembelajaran sendiri dan selama proses itu akan didampingi oleh tim pengabdi. Tulisan ini menjabarkan mengenai (1) pentingnya media pembelajaran video dalam proses pembelajaran di masa pandemic maupun endemic; (2) Kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan pembuatan video terhadap guru-guru ppkn SMA/SMK di Kota Dumai. Telah dihasilkan beberapa video pembelajaran yang dibuat oleh guru PPKn, setelah sebelumnya tim pengabdi menyediakan bahan mentah berupa slide materi, rekaman suara, dan tampilan animasi yang siap dimasukkan ke dalam video selama kegiatan berlangsung, yang nantinya dapat digunakan dalam menunjang proses pembelajaran. Dengan berbekal keterampilan membuat video yang sudah diajarkan, mereka diharapkan nantinya dapat merancang sendiri video pada materi pembelajaran lainnya sehingga proses pembelajaran PPKn menjadi lebih menarik dan tidak membosankan.Abstract: Learning videos are something that cannot be avoided in the learning process during a pandemic because this media supports the effectiveness and efficiency of time in explaining the material to students. Therefore, it takes skills to design and create learning videos. The method in this service activity is training and mentoring, meaning that after being explained in detail and at length about the process of making videos, the participants will be asked to make their own learning videos and during the process they will be accompanied by a service team. This paper describes (1) the importance of video learning media in the learning process during pandemic and endemic periods; (2) Training and mentoring activities for making videos for PPKn SMA/SMK teachers in Dumai City. Several learning videos have been produced by PPKn teachers, after previously the service team provided raw materials in the form of material slides, sound recordings, and animated displays that were ready to be included in the video during the activity, which could later be used to support the learning process. Armed with the skills to make videos that have been taught, they are expected to later be able to design their own videos on other learning materials so that the Civics learning process becomes more interesting and not boring.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pemilihan umum (pemilu) serentak 2024 semakin dekat, salah satu strategi KPU sebagai penyelenggara pemilu untuk mendongkrak angka partisipasi masyarakat adalah melalui program kader desa peduli pemilu dan pemilihan. Program ini berintikan pada pemberdayaan masyarakat desa/kelurahan untuk menjadi fasilitator Pendidikan pemilih bagi sesama. Tulisan ini merupakan hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat (PKM) yang dilakukan oleh dosen PPKn Universitas Riau di Kota Dumai. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah Sosialisasi dan Diskusi kepada masyarakat yang telah dilantik dan diberikan Amanah sebagai kader desa peduli pemilu dan pemilihan. Sosialisasi dimulai dengan penjabaran aturan hukum mengenai program, tujuan dan apa peran penting yang dapat dimainkan oleh kader sebagai fasilitator Pendidikan pemilih sedangkan Diskusi dimulai dengan kegiatan brainstorming, ceramah dan tanya jawab. Berdasarkan survey yang dilakukan pada akhir kegiatan didapati hasil sebagai berikut (1) kader menjadi lebih memahami peran dan fungsinya sebagai fasilitator Pendidikan pemilih; (2) kader menjadi lebih termotivasi dalam melaksanakan tugasnya.Abstract: The 2024 simultaneous general elections (elections) are getting closer, one of the KPU's strategies as election organizers to boost the community participation rate is through the village cadre program that cares about elections and elections. This program is based on empowering rural/kelurahan communities to become facilitators of voter education for others. This program is similar to the volunteer democracy program that was launched ahead of the 2014 and 2019 elections, but the difference lies in the burden of work and funding. This paper is the result of community service activities (PKM) carried out by a PPKn lecturer at Riau University in Dumai City. The method used in this service activity is socialization and discussion to the community who have been appointed and given the mandate as village cadres who care about elections and elections. The socialization begins with the elaboration of the legal rules regarding the program, its objectives and what important role can be played by cadres as facilitators of voter education, while the discussion begins with brainstorming, lectures and question and answer activities. Based on the survey conducted at the end of the activity, the following results were found: (1) cadres have a better understanding of their roles and functions as facilitators of voter education; (2) cadres become more motivated in carrying out their duties.
