Abstract

Mas Dimas Stall and The Dill Restaurant are Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) that have a restaurant business with various types of food and are famous among students. Both MSMEs want to have a halal logo on their restaurants and also to follow government regulations regarding halal certification, but are constrained by the lack of information circulating in the community so that they have not submitted halal certification to the Halal Guarantee Institution (LPH). Therefore, this community service activity aims to provide and increase knowledge and understanding of MSME actors who will provide information about what steps must be taken by MSME actors to get a halal logo on their business, especially about the documents they must prepare for the preparation of a halal manual which is the initial step for submitting halal certification. The implementation process will begin with the provision of a pre-test then continued with the socialization of the preparation of the halal manual, continued with a discussion and ended with the provision of a post-test. The results of this analysis state that participants' knowledge of the halal manual increased significantly, as can be seen from the results of the pre-test and post-test for the halal theory assessment aspect from 42% to 94%, the systematic preparation of the halal manual from 30% increased to 90% and the report on the preparation of a simple halal manual from 24% to 76%, so it can be stated that this community service activity was successful.

Abstract

The principle of business dispute resolution in a legal relationship contained in the clause of the dispute settlement agreement through Arbitration, in practice there are still few who use the method of dispute resolution through peace (non-litigation). One of the legal principles in arbitration is the legal principle in proof applied by arbitrators (referees) to state that business disputes actually occur, even though in reality the parties prefer arbitration to court (litigation), because the process is simpler. The purpose is to find out and analyze the legal principles of proof in business disputes. Methods in normative legal research using Statute Approach, Conceptual Approach, Case Approach and Comparative Approach are then analyzed, legal reasoning, legal interpretation and legal argumentum are carried out logically and systematically. The results show: the legal principle of proof in business disputes in arbitration is implemented according to the law of arbitration procedure. The process of proving with testimony, referring to civil cases and their statements can be carried out in certain places wherever possible. All activities in the examination and arbitration hearing are recorded in the Minutes of Examination. The principles of proof are applied in the arbitration proceedings according to the agreement of the parties. Whether this principle of proof is exactly the same as a civil procedure in a court trial or whether there is a difference, it is not expressly regulated in the law.

Abstract

Lean Six Sigma is a method that is quite effective in solving waste problems in the production process, but it is often not optimal because of the tools used in the DMAIC process. Therefore, we developed a proposed model by combining the Waste Assessment Model and Fuzzy-FMEA in Lean Six Sigma to reduce waste in the production process. The Waste Assessment Model was used at the defined stage to identify waste, while the Fuzzy-FMEA was used for priority waste risk analysis at the analysis stage. Based on the results of the Waste Assessment Model case study, defects were the most influential waste, with a percentage of 22.38%. At the analysis stage using Pareto diagrams, tearing was the dominant defect in the Nike Extreme. Based on calculations using the Fuzzy-FMEA method, the highest cause of defects was errors in processes or missed processes that caused the failure. Improvement was carried out at the improvement stage, and we found it necessary to carry out intensive and periodic control or supervision of the Nike Extreme production process. Based on these results, the proposed Lean Six Sigma model can be used to identify and reduce waste in the production process.

Abstract

XYZ Company, a Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (MSME) based in Yogyakarta, specializes in producing hijabs but faces challenges in maintaining customer interest due to a misalignment between product designs and consumer preferences. To address this, the company actively engages in new product development (NPD), focusing on trend analysis and model innovation to cater to customer needs better. An essential part of minimizing risks during the NPD process involves evaluating and identifying potential pitfalls, particularly in marketing and design. This study employs the Hazard and Operability Review (HOR) method to assess risks systematically. Initial findings from HOR phase 1 reveal that inadequate competitor information (A3) leads to significant risks in competitor product identification (E3), contributing approximately 70.34% to the total Aggregate Risk Priority (ARP). Subsequently, in HOR phase 2, XYZ Company prioritizes ten mitigation actions, with conducting a comparative study of competitors' products (PA1) being the most critical, reflected by an ETDk value of 540. Keywords: House of Risk (HOR), Hijab Fashion, Hijab Industry, New Product Development (NPD)

Abstract

Neglected tropical diseases, including scabies and pediculosis, are diseases that are still a health problem in Indonesia. Islamic boarding schools are risky locations with a high prevalence of scabies and pediculosis because they have dense housing, lack of environmental sanitation and personal hygiene. This service activity aimed to increase knowledge about preventing and treating scabies and pediculosis in Pondok Pesantren X, South Sumatra. A total of 46 students with complaints of itching on the skin and head were present as participants in the activity which has been carried out in November 2023. The implementation of service consists of examination, counseling, as well as pretest and posttest. The scabies examination method was carried out clinically according to IACS 2020 criteria, while pediculosis examination was carried out with a serit combs. Counseling activities on the topic of clean and healthy living behavior was began and ended with the pretest and posttest. From the examination activities, it was found that 95% (44) students suffered scabies and 36% (17) students suffered pediculosis. Participants were quite enthusiastic in participating in counseling activities, as evidenced by the number of questions related to clean and healthy living behavior in daily activities at Islamic boarding schools. The counseling activity was quite successful, which can be seen from the increase in the correct value and significance (p < 0.05) of the pretest and posttest results.

Abstract

In Indonesia, the prevalence of soil-transmitted helminths (STH) infection ranges from 2.5% to 62%, primarily affecting lower socioeconomic groups with poor sanitation. STH transmission can occur through fecal-oral routes, skin penetration of larvae, and mechanical vectors. This study examines STH egg contamination in flies at the Sukawinatan Landfill, Palembang, to understand their role in transmission and support vector control strategies. The research employs a descriptive observational study with a cross-sectional design. Observations were conducted microscopically with sample processed using the sedimentation technique. From 59 samples prepared from 598 flies, 17 samples (28.8%) were confirmed positive for STH eggs. The total number and type of STH eggs found were 24 Trichuris trichiura eggs. In conclusion, STH egg contamination was detected on flies at the Sukawinatan Landfill in Palembang City.
