Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan memahami pengalaman interaksi sosial siswa tunagrahita ringan di sekolah inklusif SMP Negeri 32 Semarang. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA), penelitian melibatkan lima siswa berusia 13–17 tahun. Data dikumpul melalui wawancara semi-terstruktur mendalam dan observasi non-partisipan, kemudian dianalisis melalui langkah membaca ulang transkrip, komentar eksploratif, tema emergen, dan tema utama. Hasil menunjukkan lima tema utama: hambatan interaksi (takut salah bicara, menarik diri), penyesuaian diri (mengikuti aturan, diam saat marah), peniruan perilaku positif (meniru guru dan teman), dukungan sosial (ajakan bermain, perhatian guru), serta penguatan emosional (rasa aman dan diterima). Temuan tidak terduga adalah kemampuan siswa memberikan kontribusi sosial aktif. Penelitian ini mengisi celah literatur dengan perspektif emik siswa di konteks inklusi reguler tingkat SMP, menegaskan pentingnya dukungan lingkungan untuk membangun interaksi bermakna.

Abstract

Saffron (Crocus sativus L.) merupakan tumbuhan steril dengan kromosom triploid, sehingga perbanyakan secara generatif tidak dapat dilakukan. Metode kultur jaringan menjadi salah satu alternatif untuk membudidayakan saffron. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengkaji pengaruh air kelapa pada media MS terhadap pertumbuhan tunas eksplan cormus Saffron  dan mengetahui konsentrasi air kelapa yang optimum sehingga meningkatan pertumbuhan tunas Saffron. Metode yaitu penanaman eksplan cormus Saffron  ke dalam media MS yang ditambah air kelapa pada konsentrasi 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan faktor tunggal (konsentrasi air kelapa) dengan 4 ulangan. Data dianalisis dengan ANOVA dilanjutkan dengan uji DMRT. Pertumbuhan eksplan diamati selama 8 minggu. Parameter yang diamati yaitu waktu muncul tunas, akar, dan daun; jumlah tunas, akar, dan daun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan air kelapa tidak menginisiasi pertumbuhan akar, tunas, dan daun cormus saffron. Air kelapa dengan konsentrasi 0% - 20% tidak menstimulasi pertumbuhan akar, tunas, dan daun cormus saffron. Air kelapa belum mampu memecahkan dormansi cormus saffron.Saffron (Crocus sativus L.) is a sterile plant with triploid chromosomes, making generative propagation unfeasible. Tissue culture offers an alternative method for saffron cultivation. This research aimed to investigate the impact of coconut water in Murashige and Skoog (MS) medium on the growth of saffron corm explant shoots and to identify the optimal coconut water concentration for enhancing saffron shoot growth. The experiment involved planting saffron corm explants in MS medium supplemented with coconut water at concentrations of 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, and 20%. A completely randomized design with a single factor (coconut water concentration) and four replications was employed. Data were analyzed using ANOVA followed by the Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT). Explant growth was monitored over an 8-week period, with observations focusing on the timing of shoot, root, and leaf emergence, as well as the number of shoots, roots, and leaves. The results indicated that the addition of coconut water did not initiate the growth of saffron corm roots, shoots, or leaves. Coconut water at concentrations ranging from 0% to 20% did not stimulate the growth of saffron corm roots, shoots, or leaves, and it was unable to break the dormancy of saffron corms.

Abstract

Dining table hygiene in restaurants is a critical issue because microbial contamination can lead to foodborne illness. Natural disinfectants made from cinnamon bark essential oil (Cinnamomum burmannii) offer a safer alternative due to their antibacterial compounds, particularly cinnamaldehyde and eugenol. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of cinnamon bark essential oil spray at concentrations of 2%, 4%, and 6% in reducing the germ count on dining tables. A quasi-experimental method with a Non-Equivalent Pretest–Posttest Control Group Design was employed. The study involved 24 dining table germ count measurements with six replications for each treatment and control group. Data were analyzed using Paired Samples t-Test, One-Way ANOVA, and LSD tests. The results showed that the average germ count decreased from 104 to 30.8 CFU/cm² at 2% concentration, from 101.2 to 23.2 CFU/cm² at 4%, and from 99 to 13.3 CFU/cm² at 6%. Statistical analysis indicated significant reductions before and after treatment (p = 0.000) and significant differences among concentrations (p = 0.009). Therefore, cinnamon bark essential oil has strong potential as a natural disinfectant for restaurant dining tables.

Abstract

Household domestic waste remains an environmental issue, particularly in the management of organic waste that has not been utilized optimally. This community service activity aimed to improve community knowledge, attitudes, and willingness in waste management through the application of the open windrow composting technique in Popongan Hamlet, Mlati District, Sleman Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta. The method used consisted of counseling activities followed by evaluation through pretest and posttest questionnaires. The results showed an increase in community knowledge into the good category after the counseling was conducted. Community attitudes toward waste management also changed in a more positive direction. Statistical analysis indicated significant differences before and after the counseling in both knowledge and attitude variables. In addition, the community demonstrated a high level of readiness to support composting activities both individually and collectively. This counseling activity was considered effective in improving community understanding of environmentally based waste management.

Abstract

Biomass fuel such as briquette is one of an alternative energy regarded to the shortage of the fosil fuel and rising its prices. The byproduct of sago starch industry is the waste that remain the environmental problem because of the odor. However this agricultur waste such as trunk cortex and fibre has a potential application as a raw material for briquette.The fibre and trunk cortex act as matrix material of briquette. The utilizing of sago waste as a biomass briquette and the effect of ratio of matrix/binder to the density, time of compustion and gross heat of the briquette have been elucidated sistematically. The analyzing of gross heat using adiabatic calorimetry indicated that the briquette prepared with the ratio of binder/matrix of 3:4 (mass ratio) had the maximum value of 3929.5 kal/g. The duration of combusion was proposional with density of the briquette.

Abstract

Pengobatan farmakologis untuk diabetes didasarkan pada peningkatan ketersediaan insulin dan perbaikan sensitivitas insulin. Saat ini, terapi berbasis glukagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1) bertujuan untuk mengendalikan glukosa melalui penghambatan enzim DPP-4. Api-api (Avicennia marina) merupakan mangrove yang banyak terdapat di Indonesia, namun pemanfaatannya sebagai obat oleh masyarakat masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kandungan metabolit sekunder yang terdapat pada ekstrak maupun fraksi buah api-api dan menentukan aktivitas penghambatannya terhadap enzim dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4). Ekstraksi dilakukan dengan cara maserasi dalam etanol 96%, dilanjutkan fraksinasi dengan metode cair-cair untuk mendapatkan fraksi n-heksan, etil asetat, dan air. Skrining fitokimia dilakukan dengan uji warna dan kromatografi lapis tipis (KLT). Aktivitas penghambatan enzim DPP-IV dilakukan menggunakan metode fluoresensi dengan substrat fluorogenik Gly-Pro-aminomethyl-coumarin (AMC). Rendemen hasil ekstraksi buah api-api (Avicennia marina) sebesar 48,06% sedangkan fraksinasi dari ekstrak menghasilkan fraksi air dengan rendemen terbesar (31,54%). Hasil skrining fitokimia dan KLT memperlihatkan ekstrak etanol dan fraksi etil asetat buah api-api mengandung flavonoid, triterpenoid/steroid, tanin, dan saponin. Fraksi air terdeteksi mengandung flavonoid, tanin, dan terpenoid, sedangkan fraksi n-heksan hanya mengandung flavonoid dan triterpenoid.  Aktivitas penghambatan DPP-4 fraksi n-heksan, fraksi etil asetat, dan fraksi air dalam nilai IC50 berturut-turut yaitu 5,19; 1,36; dan 2,51 mg/mL. Fraksi etil asetat buah api-api putih memiliki aktivitas penghambatan DPP-4 terbaik, sehingga dapat menjadi sumber antidiabetik alami.
