Abstract

The digital transformation has ushered society into an era of disruption, triggering a digital moral crisis among Generation Z. This study aims to synthesize contemporary pedagogical frameworks to develop an integrative model of Digital Ethics-Based Civic Education that incorporates social media and Artificial Intelligence literacy to strengthen national character and students' moral resilience. Adopting a qualitative approach through a literature review, data were collected from reputable national and international journals and official government reports from 2020 to 2025. The research findings indicate that technical proficiency alone is insufficient to preserve moral integrity without a strong ethical anchor. A reorientation of pedagogical strategies is necessary by integrating the Pancasila Student Profile, strengthening interpersonal intelligence, and utilizing innovative technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and social media as tools for active value learning. The conclusion of this study emphasizes that the future of Civic Education depends on its transformation into a living curriculum that positions educators as moral navigators in the digital space to foster smart and good citizens.

Abstract

Objective: The study aimed to explore, analyze, and describe the strategies implemented by elementary schools to develop the Pancasila Student Profile. Specifically, the study examined school programs, stakeholder involvement, and institutional practices that support the internalization of Pancasila values and character development among students at Palembang Nature School. Method: The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach and was conducted at Palembang Nature School, also known as SAPA Palembang Elementary School. The research participants consisted of the principal, teachers, students, and parents or guardians. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and document analysis. The data analysis process involved data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data credibility was established through source and technique triangulation. Results: The findings identified five major programs implemented to develop the Pancasila Student Profile: (1) Zero Waste, (2) Science Project, (3) Language Literacy Week, (4) Cultural Week, and (5) Survival. These programs facilitated the development of students’ character, faith in God Almighty, knowledge, creativity, independence, responsibility, and democratic attitudes. The successful implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile was supported by three main factors. Novelty: The study provides an integrated description of how nature-based elementary school programs can be used to develop the Pancasila Student Profile through experiential, environmental, scientific, cultural, literacy, and survival-oriented activities. The findings demonstrate that the Pancasila Student Profile can be effectively developed through a whole-school approach involving school leaders, teachers, students, and parents.

Abstract

National disintegration is a major and complex problem currently being faced by the Indonesian nation. This study aims to provide a new perspective on national disintegration, namely through the perspective of Pancasila philosophy. Pancasila philosophy as a fundamental philosophy of the nation that contains noble values in each of its principles is able to provide a framework for thinking that can be used to critically analyze the nature, main causes, and efforts to prevent and handle national disintegration. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a literature study approach. The results of this study show that national disintegration in the perspective of Pancasila philosophy is a state of disunity of a nation that should be a complete unity due to the erosion of the noble values of Pancasila in the life of the nation and state. Then based on the formulation of Pancasila philosophy, the main causes of the problem of national disintegration are economic inequality, low digital literacy, lack of tolerance and mutual respect, and abuse of power. Furthermore, the formulation of efforts to prevent and handle national disintegration based on the Pancasila philosophy is to build tolerance and mutual respect among diversity, increase the sense of humanity, build good Pancasila democracy, foster and strengthen the sense of national unity and togetherness, increase awareness and education about the importance of Pancasila values.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the effectiveness of social activity-based character education through a case study of involvement in the Rumah Belajar Ceria. The research approach used is qualitative with a case study design. Data collection techniques include interviews with three informants selected using a purposive sampling technique, as well as activity observations and documentation. The data analysis technique used in this study follows the Miles and Huberman model, which consists of three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data analysis was carried out comprehensively and traingulation was carried out. The results of the study show that social activities in society significantly support character formation. This effectiveness is achieved when individuals meet several aspects, including an understanding of character values, active involvement in social activities, and tangible behavioral transformations. Community plays an important role in creating a collective learning environment that encourages character development such as empathy, responsibility, and cooperation. Intense communication and interaction in society serve as external factors that reinforce the internalization of these values. This research underscores the importance of social activities in character education, not only as a means of individual learning but also as a mechanism to strengthen social relationships in society.

Abstract

This study aims to maps the intellectual landscape of character education research through a bibliometric-based Systematic Literature Review (SLR), focusing on the relationship between character education and civic education in the school context. Data were obtained from the Scopus database, where 522 documents were identified, limited to English-language journal articles published between 2016 and 2026. Bibliometric analysis was conducted using VOSviewer to identify publication trends, author contributions, affiliations, countries, and keyword co-occurrence patterns. The findings indicate a significant increase in publications on character education, with character education and civic education emerging as strongly interconnected central themes. The thematic mapping reveals several major clusters, including virtue ethics and moral values approaches, democratic civic education, curriculum and learners, methodological approaches based on human experiences, as well as pedagogical innovations such as project-based learning, empathy, and digital literacy. These findings indicate a shift in character education research from a normative approach toward a more integrative, contextual, and practice-oriented perspective. This study contributes theoretically by clarifying the intellectual landscape of character education research and this study supports policies promoting integrated character–civic curricula, whole-school approaches, innovative pedagogy, teacher professional development, and holistic assessment aligned with 21st-century educational challenges.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of parking policy in Depok City in enhancing public legal awareness toward illegal parking practices. The research focuses on the implementation of Depok Mayor Regulation Number 16 of 2020 concerning the Licensing Procedures for Parking Facilities and Parking Fee Regulations. This study employs a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and document analysis involving local government officials, parking managers, parking attendants, and parking service users. Data analysis was conducted using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the implementation of the parking policy in Depok City has not been fully effective. The main weaknesses lie in limited policy socialization, inadequate supervision, and inconsistent law enforcement. These conditions contribute to low public legal awareness and the persistence of illegal parking practices in public spaces. Illegal parking practices negatively affect social order, public comfort, and the function of public spaces. This study concludes that the effectiveness of parking policy depends not only on regulatory frameworks but also on the quality of implementation and the internalization of legal awareness among the community.

Abstract

The Sariswara method, as a form of literary expression that combines elements of story, song, and language, has an important role in shaping and reflecting the values and character of the nation. This article aims to analyze how the sariswara method represents cultural values and good characters that grow and develop in Indonesian society. Through a qualitative approach and content analysis of several sariswara works, it was found that sariswara is not only a means of entertainment, but also acts as a means of transmitting moral values, ethics, the spirit of collectivity (mutual cooperation), and respect for parents, and love for the homeland. In the context of the dynamics of culture that continues to develop, sariswara shows flexibility and relevance in conveying noble messages in a subtle and touching way. This study confirms that the preservation and strengthening of sariswara has a strategic contribution in maintaining cultural identity and shaping the character of the nation, such as integrating values such as honesty, responsibility, empathy, and love for the homeland with noble morals amidst the challenges of globalization.
