Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of student interest and motivation to learn on physics learning outcomes on the concept of Newton's Law. Low interest and motivation to learn is one of the causes of students' difficulty achieving optimal learning outcomes in physics, especially in abstract material such as Newton's Law. The research used a quantitative approach with descriptive statistical methods. Data were obtained through a Likert scale-based questionnaire to measure interest and motivation to learn and a multiple-choice test to assess learning outcomes. Analyses were conducted using multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS. The results showed that interest and motivation to learn significantly influenced student learning outcomes, with a contribution of 73% and a positive relationship. This result confirms the importance of lecturers in designing learning strategies that can increase student interest and motivation to support the success of physics learning, especially in Newton's Law material.

Abstract

Geometry optics is one of the materials that must be mastered by students, but based on the research results it can be seen that students' understanding of geometric optics tends to be lacking. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using e-learning in teaching and learning activities, especially material regarding optical geometry to students of SMA N 1 Pakusari Jember. This study used a field survey method with direct observation in the field. This field survey took place at SMA N 1 Pakusari Jember with the implementation of observations of class XI MIPA 1 students. Based on the acquisition and suitability between learning outcomes from student learning accuracy there is 60% of the accuracy of answer questions which can be said to be quite effective by using e-learning-based learning media. web. While the remaining 40% is less effective when using web-based e-learning learning media. In addition, it can be seen from the results of the hots questions where students get quite high accuracy of answers by looking at the number of correct answers and wrong answers from students. With the acquisition of accuracy of 47% -63% of the answers and the acquisition of correct answers more than the acquisition of wrong answers. So it can be concluded that the use of web-based e-learning learning media on optical geometry material is quite effective

Abstract

Motivasi belajar berperan aktif secara signifikan dalam menentukan pemahaman konsep dari sebuah proses pembelajaran. Maka dengan adanya peran yang sangat penting itu, pemahaman tentang bagaimana upaya memotivasi belajar mahasiswa, hal tersebut sejalan dengan adanya indikator motivasi belajar yang ruang lingkupnya meliputi motivasi intrinsik dan motivasi ekstrinsik. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif ataupun pengumpulan data motivasi dilakukan melalui kuesioner dengan 10 pertanyaan. Kemampuan praktikum mahasiswa berdasarkan nilai praktikum semester 2 pada materi gerak lurus berubah beraturan. Hasil analisis data menggunakan analisis korelasi parcial, kedua variable tidak tidak saling mempengaruhi, namun apabila nilai signifikansi kurang dari 0,05 dan jika lebih dari 0,5 maka dikatakan signifikan maka kedua variable saling mempengaruhi, hal ini dibuktikan dengan nilai signifikansi yang lebih dari 0,05 yakni sebesar 0,155. Pada H0 yang akan diterima artinya pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa motivasi belajar dengan Pemahaman Konsep tidak memiliki hubungan atau tidak berkorelasi.

Abstract

Aktifitas belajar merupakan kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran. aktivitas belajar ini terdiri dari beberapa indikator seperti minat belajar dan kemampuan literasi sains. Pada penelitian kali ini akan di teliti mengenai aktivitas belajar mana yang berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa Pendidikan Fisika dan indikator aktivitas belajar yang mana yang paling berperan dalam pengaruhnya terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa Pendidikan Fisika Siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui tingkat hasil belajar mahasiswa Pendidikan Fisika pada materi suhu dan kalor. Metode penelitan yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif yang bertujuan untuk menguji teori. Dari percobaan tersebut dapat diketahui bahwa aktivitas belajar berpengaruh positif akan tetapi tidak signifikan terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa Pendidikan Fisika pada materi suhu dan kalor. Indikator aktivitas belajar yang paling berperan dalam pengaruhnya terhadap hasil belajar fisika mahasiswa pada materi suhu dan kalor dilihat dari nilai signifikan yang paling mendekati 0,05 yaitu indikator minat belajar.Kata kunci: aktivitas belajar, hasil belajar, analisis

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of interest in learning on physics practicum abilities on Newton's Law material in physics education students. The method used is regression analysis with a quantitative descriptive approach. The dependent variable in this study was students' practicum ability, while the independent variable was learning interest as measured by indicators of student interest in practicum, student attention in practicum, and student involvement in practicum. The data used in this study were obtained through primary data collection through questionnaires which were distributed to physics education students who were taking a physics course on Newton's Laws. The research sample consisted of 100 respondents who were randomly selected. The collected data were then analyzed using the regression method to evaluate the effect of the independent variables on the dependent variable. The results of the regression analysis show that simultaneously, the learning interest variable (student interest in practicum, student attention in practicum, and student involvement in practicum) has an effect of 60% on students' practicum ability. This means that 60% of the variation in students' practicum abilities can be explained by the learning interest variable studied, while the remaining 40% is influenced by other factors outside the regression equation. The resulting regression equation is Student Practicum Ability = 53.730 + 0.244 * Student Interest in Practicum + 0.631 * Student Attention in Practicum + 0.588 * Student Involvement in Practicum. However, when individual significance tests were carried out, the p-value for each independent variable (student interest in practicum, student attention in practicum, and student involvement in practicum) was greater than 0.05. Even though interest in learning has a simultaneous effect on the ability of physics practicum on Newton's Law material for physics education students, individually, the variables of interest in learning do not have a significant effect. This shows that there are other factors outside the regression equation that can affect students' practicum abilities. Therefore, further research is needed to identify these factors and dig deeper into the relationship between interest in learning and students' physics practicum abilities.Keywords: Effect of Interest in Learning; Physics Learning; Newton's laws

Abstract

Alat peraga sederhana pembangkit listrik tenaga air merupakan alat peraga sederhana yang mendemonstrasikan mekanisme perubahan energi kinetik air menjadi listrik. Asisten pengajar pembangkit listrik tenaga air terdiri dari komponen utama genset, turbin atau turbin angin, lampu LED, kabel dan tali penghubung, serta bagian pendukung rak turbin angin. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan penelitian pembuatan alat dan pengujian fungsional alat yang dilakukan beberapa tahapan, yaitu: penelitian dan pengumpulan informasi, perencanaan, pengembangan atau produksi produk, dan uji coba lapangan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, materi pembelajaran tentang pembangkit listrik tenaga air dapat digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. Pada dasarnya perancangan pembangkit listrik tenaga air sederhana dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk merancang dan membuat kincir air mini untuk pembangkit listrik yang dapat berfungsi secara maksimal. Dengan adanya Alat Ajar Konstruksi Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Air (PLTA) yang sederhana ini, diharapkan siswa dapat dengan mudah memahami konsep yang baru dipelajarinya.Kata kunci: Alat Peraga, Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Air, Laboratorium Fisika

Abstract

This research investigated how using Articulate Storyline 3 within a Self-Directed Learning (SDL) model affected vocational students' motivation and physics learning achievements. The study employed a true experimental design, specifically a Post-test Only Control Group Design and was carried out at SMK Negeri 2 Jember. Sample determination is done by conducting a homogeneity test, then randomly selected for the control class and the experimental class through a lottery. Data was collected using observation, interview, questionnaire, test and documentation methods. The data analysis technique used was normality test and T test with the help of IBM SPSS 25 software. Questionnaire results indicated that students in the experimental group, who used the Self-Directed Learning model with Articulate Storyline 3, showed higher average learning motivation compared to the control group.  The results of data analysis of student learning motivation with the Independent Sample T-test test obtained a significance value of 0.010 ≤ 0.05, which means H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. The post-test results revealed that students in the experimental group, who learned physics using the Self-Directed Learning model with Articulate Storyline 3, achieved higher average scores than those in the control group. The results of data analysis of student physics learning outcomes tested with the Mann-Whitney U-test get a significance value of 0.004 ≤ 0.05 which means H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. So it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of the application of the SDL model accompanied by Articulate Storyline 3 media on student motivation and physics learning outcomes.

Abstract

Low student collaboration skills are often found in learning activities at school. This will certainly impact the low level of student learning outcomes. This study aims to examine the effect of the Learning Cycle 7E model assisted by PhET Simulation on students' collaboration skills and physics learning outcomes. This research is a true experimental study using a posttest-only control group design. The population in this study was class X students of SMK Negeri 2 Jember, while the research sample was determined using the cluster random sampling technique. Data collection methods included observation, interviews, tests, and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed using a normality test, followed by statistical tests using the Independent Sample T-test for collaboration skills and the Mann Whitney U-Test for physics learning outcomes. The results showed that the analysis of collaboration skills data using the Independent Sample T-test obtained a Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 ≤ 0.05, indicating a significant difference between the experimental and control groups. Meanwhile, the analysis of physics learning outcomes using the Mann Whitney U-Test obtained a Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 ≤ 0.05, also indicating a significant difference. Therefore, it can be concluded that the application of the Learning Cycle 7E model assisted by PhET Simulation has a significant positive effect on improving students' collaboration skills and physics learning outcomes.

Abstract

The low level of student learning activity is often found in school learning activities, which has an impact on poor learning outcomes. This study aims to examine the significant comparison of learning activities and physics learning outcomes of vocational high school students using the cooperative learning models STAD (Student Teams Achievement Division) and TGT (Teams Games Tournament), as well as to describe student responses after the implementation of both models on the topic of energy and its changes. This research is a true experimental study with a posttest-only control group design. The population in this study consisted of 186 students, and the sample was determined using a cluster random sampling technique. Data collection methods included observation, tests, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The classical assumption test used was the normality test, followed by statistical analyses using the Independent Sample T-test and the Mann-Whitney U-test. The results of the analysis of student learning activity data using the Independent Sample T-test showed a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.699 > 0.05, while the analysis of learning outcome data using the Mann-Whitney U-test showed a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.806 > 0.05. These results indicate that there is no significant difference between the two learning models in terms of their effect on student learning activities and physics learning outcomes. In addition, the analysis of student responses showed that the implementation of the STAD and TGT models received a very good response. Thus, it can be concluded that while there is no significant difference between the two models, both are effective in generating student interest and positive engagement in learning physics.

Abstract

Tujuan dan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh kemampuan literasi sains mahasiswa pendidikan fisika terhadap kemampuan hasil praktikum pada materi Gaya Lorentz. Teknik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa kelas B pendidikan fisika angkatan 2022 Universitas Jember yang terdiri dari 41 mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik kuesioner dan juga tes tulis dalam pengumpulan data. Tes kuesioner terdiri dari 5 butir soal dengan 3 indikator, variabel dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari minat terhadap sains teknologi, keterbacaan, dan penguasaan konsep sains. Pengujian data menggunakan metode analisis regresi sederhana. Dari hasil penelitian, menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis H1 diterima H0 ditolak yang menunjukkan adanya signifikan yang berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan literasi sains mahasiswa dengan kemampuan hasil praktikum pada materi gaya lorentz. Nilai signifikan dibuktikan dengan hasil uji regresi sederhana 0.486, nilai deviasi 0.349, dan nilai korelasi 0.751 yang ketiganya memiliki nilai 0.05.Kata kunci: Literasi Sains,  Hasil Praktikum, Fisika
