Abstract

Literasi sains kemampuan menggunakan pengetahuan sains untuk mengidentifikasi pertanyaan, memperoleh pengetahuan baru, menjelaskan fenomena ilmiah dengan menyimpulkan berdasarkan bukti-bukti ilmiah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan literasi sains dan kemampuan memecahkan permasalahan sains mahasiswa Pendidikan fisika pada konsep energi terbarukan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode analisis korelasi menggunakan kuisioner berupa google form yang disana nantinya akan mengetahui hubungan kedua variabel yang dibuktikan dengan aplikasi SPSS dan penelitian secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahwa antara kemampuan literasi sains (X) terhadap kemampuan memecahkan masalah (Y) terdapat hubungan yang positif dengan tingkat korelasi sempurna. Hal tersebut tampak pada nilai koefisien korelasi Pearson di atas adalah 0,847 dimana nilai korelasinya bernilai positif sehingga hubungan antara Literasi Sains terhadap Kemampuan Memecahkan Masalah tentang Energi Terbarukan. Temuan hasil penelitian ini dapat digunakan untuk mengukur dan mengevaluasi sejauh mana literasi sains tentang energi terbarukan yang sudah diterapkan oleh mahasiswa pendidikan Fisika.

Abstract

The prevailing pedagogical approach in class X SMA entails the utilization of questions from LKS or books, thereby engendering suboptimal student engagement and learning outcomes in physics.This study posits the necessity for pedagogues to enhance their lesson planning and media utilization in the classroom, with the objective of facilitating innovative Problem Based Learning (PBL) models accompanied by crossword puzzles.The present study aims to elucidate the enhancement of activity and learning outcomes of X grade high school students through the implementation of the PBL model accompanied by crossword puzzle media. The subject of this research is class X 2 SMAN 5 Jember.This research employed a Classroom Action Research approach, which was conducted in two cycles, each comprising four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection.The results of the first cycle were used as a reference for the implementation of the second cycle, with improvements made to address the weaknesses identified in the first cycle. The findings of this study revealed that the implementation of the PBL model, coupled with the incorporation of a crossword puzzle, resulted in a 0.60 increase in student learning outcomes in cycle 1. Subsequent to cycle 2, there was an augmentation in the average student learning outcomes to 0.76 Furthermore, the analysis of learning activities in cycle 1 revealed an active category, while cycle 2 exhibited an increase, including an increase in the very active category. Consequently, it can be deduced that the implementation of the PBL model, integrated with a crossword puzzle, has led to a twofold enhancement in the activity and learning outcomes of physics students at SMAN 5 Jember.

Abstract

The ability to solve physics problems is one of the goals in learning physics and a part of the current curriculum demands. One of the physics problems that are often the focus of attention in learning is Newton's law of motion. When solving physics problems on Newton's law of motion, students need to utilize various aspects of certain abilities and rules. The purpose of this study was to reveal how the students utilized aspects of the abilities and rules in problem-solving. The study was conducted by providing physics problems on Newton's law of motion to 105 high school students. The result showed that most students were able to write equations, solutions, and system of units correctly for each problem. However, students’ ability to determine the coordinate axes, depicts free-body diagrams, forces representation, and determine the resultant forces and direction of motion was unsatisfactory. Students tended to refer to the mathematical formulations in solving the problems. Therefore, physics learning that requires students to actively learn collaboratively, peer instruction, and procedural thinking can be used as an alternative learning strategy to overcome said problems.

Abstract

21st century skills are important for schools as educational institutions. One of the 21st century skills that can be developed and achieved by students in learning activities is collaboration skills. Collaboration skills are very important in learning at school, one of which is in physics learning. Collaboration skills can be achieved with learning models and media used in the learning process. However, not all learning processes can improve students' collaboration skills. This study aims to examine the effect of the TPS type cooperative learning model assisted by integrated PPT media on the collaboration skills of high school students. This research method uses True Experimental with a Posttest Only Control Group Design design consisting of an experimental class treated with the TPS type cooperative learning model assisted by integrated PPT and a control class using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model. The sampling of this study used the cluster random sampling technique and if after the Levene's test the data was not homogeneous, then the value between classes with the smallest difference was used. Analysis of the research data used SPSS 25 with a normality test, and an independent sample t-test hypothesis test if the data was normal or a Mann Whitney U test if the data was not normal. The results of the study showed that collaboration skills with an Asymp value. Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.045, which means there is a difference between the experimental class and the control class. So it can be concluded that the TPS type cooperative learning model assisted by integrated PPT media has a significant effect on the collaboration skills of high school students.

Abstract

Current learning, especially physics learning, based on the results of observations, is still experiencing problems. One of the obstacles in learning physics is the tendency of students to be passive in class and learning outcomes are not optimal. Based on the results of observations, research was carried out on the effectiveness of the PhET Simulation learning media. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of PhET Simulation learning media on student learning outcomes at SMA Nuris Jember. The method used is descriptive method and quantitative method. Data collection is carried out directly using the integrated PhET Simulation Student Worksheet (LKPD). The control variables of this study were Student Worksheets (LKPD) and PhET Simulation media. The independent variable used is the class group used, namely class X MIPA 1 and X MIPA 3 SMA Nuris Jember. The dependent variable is student learning outcomes. The results obtained from the pretest and posttest that have been done by students. It was found that the pretest value was lower than the posttest value. This is indicated by the average pretest score of students is 48.53 and the average value of posttest learning outcomes is 86.58. The gain value obtained is 0.58. The conclusion of this study is that the PhET simulation learning media is able to improve student learning outcomes in Newton's second law of physics learning. The increase in student learning outcomes is categorized as moderate with a gain value of 0.58.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing disertai e-LKPD terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa SMA pada materi suhu dan kalor. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi eksperimen. Adapun desain penelitiannya adalah posttest only control design. Sampel pada penelitian ini ditentukan menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling yang sebelumnya telah dilakukan uji homogenitas. Adapun sampel pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI MIPA 2 dan XI MIPA 5 SMAN 1 Gambiran Banyuwangi. Teknik pengambilan data kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa menggunakan test berupa 4 soal uraian. Data penelitian ini diolah menggunakan SPSS versi 24 dengan uji normalitas menggunakan one way anova dan uji hipotesis menggunakan independent sampel t-test. Berdasarkan hasil uji independent sampel t-test didapatkan nilai signifikansinya yaitu 0,002. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan penggunaan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing disertai e-LKPD terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa pada materi suhu dan kalor.

Abstract

Learning Props are teaching aids designed to accompany project-based learning activities. This community service is motivated by the problems faced by educators when implementing project-based learning models. Therefore an innovation is needed for these problems. SMP PGRI 1 Tempurejo is a target school in Jember district that is still less educated about the use of teaching aids in project-based learning models to support the implementation of an independent learning curriculum. This service activity is carried out in three stages, namely the preparation stage, the implementation stage, and the evaluation and reporting stage. The activities carried out in this community service are conducting training on the use of teaching aids media in project-based learning models to support the implementation of an independent learning curriculum for teachers and students at SMP PGRI 1 Tempurejo Jember. PhET media is an interactive simulation media that is given to students to facilitate practicum that cannot be done directly or real but uses a virtual laboratory that is effective in learning. In the training activities, teachers and students responded quite well, this was indicated by the response of teachers and students who stated that they knew about PhET media in the project-based learning model after conducting training. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the participants who took part in the training increased their insight, knowledge and skills about the use of teaching aids in the project-based learning model as a support for the implementation of an independent learning curriculum.

Abstract

In majority, cultivation of oyster mushroom is carried out indoors, that the room was generally mentioned as mushroom cultivation house. One of physics concept that play a big role is evaporation. Evaporation itself known as a complex process that involves many physical quantities. It has been observed that in several schools in Jember, the explanations about evaporation, as one of discussion inside the unit of temperature and heat, were still non contextual and tended to be incomprehensible. This research aimed to describe the physics concept of evaporation that applied inside mushroom cultivation house, then design a supplementary e-module based the analysis as physics learning material. To measure the evaporation values that occur inside mushroom cultivation house, FAO-Penman Monteith evapotranspiration formula was chosen. For the supplementary e-module that has been designed, here is also validated by experts. Abstract

Dalam suatu proses pembelajaran, perlunya suatu rangsangan bagi seorang mahasiswa. Guna menumbuhkan ketertarikan serta semangat dalam belajar. Utamanya dalam meningkatkan berpikir kritis pada mahasiswa. Pendidik, memiliki kewajiban dalam keberhasilan belajar peserta didik. Sehingga pendidik harus mengetahui karakteristik dari mahasiswa. Salah satunya mengetahui minat belajar mahasiswa. Pendidik harus mampu mengenali kesiapan mahasiswa dalam proses belajar, sertaa mengetahui minat belajar mahasiswa. Sehingga, mahasiswa semangat dan excited menerima pembelajaran. Dengan mengetahui minat belajar mahasiswa, dapat menjadi salah satu cara dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa. Baik dengan memberikan soal ataupun dengan memberikan tugas praktik. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan uji regresi pada software SPSS guna melihat apakah minat belajar berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis sehingga hasil belajar mahasiswa dapat meningkat. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa variabel X berpengaruh kuat terhadap variabel Y dengan presentase 77,2 %. Dengan demikian, minat belajar mahasiswa menjadi salah satu faktor untuk meningatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis mahasiswa khususnya pada materi gerak jatuh bebas.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh kemampuan berfikir kritis terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah materi keterbatasan sumber energi dengan responden mahasiswa pendidikan fisika. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan uji angket melaui kuisioner dengan 8 pertanyaan. Hasil analisis data menggunakan uji regresi pada hipotesis menunjukan jika H0 yaitu kemampuan berfikir kritis tidak mempengaruhi kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan H1 yaitu kemampuan berfikir kritis mempengaruhi kemampuan pemecahan masalah.
