Abstract

Tomato fruit yields have a variety, not only ripe fruit but also the condition of tomatoes that are still raw or half-ripe. By naked eye, tomato ripeness can be seen by the difference in three colors, namely red, yellow and green. Each color difference describes the level of maturity. However, human decisions in distinguishing the color of ripe tomatoes can vary and are more subjective. With the help of an image processing system, the selection of tomato ripeness can be faster and more objective. This study uses the YOLOv4 algorithm which is implemented into a mobile computing device, namely the Raspberry Pi 3, to select the tomato image captured by a camera. The results of the YOLOv4 image process will be output to the actuator in the form of a conveyor equipped with a wiper that will sort tomatoes automatically. The result of this research is a prototype with the YOLOv4 algorithm that has been trained with the tomato dataset.

Abstract

Photovoltaic functions to convert solar energy into electrical energy. The use of photovoltaic requires a charging controller to improve the performance of PV to be more optimal. The parts of the charging controller consist of a DC-DC converter and maximum power point tracking (MPPT). DC DC converter is used to change the value of the output voltage of the photovoltaic to reach the peak power of the photovoltaic. To determine the peak power value of photovoltaic, MPPT is needed with incremental conductance algorithm. The DC-DC converter uses a buck converter type with a switching frequency of 150kHz and an inductor of 35µH. The incremental conductance algorithm embedded in the microcontroller works by comparing changes in current and voltage to get the peak power value. The result of this microcontroller is a pulse wave whose duty cycle varies based on the results of the algorithm. This pulse wave will control the buck converter. From the results of this study the charging controller is able to work by changing the value of the duty cycle according to the PV conditions when absorbing power.

Abstract

In Indonesia, rice is the staple food of most homes in urban and rural areas. Management of post-harvest activity has an important role on the rice seed quality at the storage period. One of the solutions to overcome seed deterioration is to perform invigoration. It can be conducted in some methods; those are osmoconditioning, hydration-dehydration, and matrioconditioning. The purpose of this study is to determine the effects and interaction of storage duration and invigoration toward seed viability and vigor of Bangka local rice accession Mayang. This study was conducted in the Laboratory of Agrotechnology, Faculty of Agriculture, Fisheries and Biology, University of Bangka Belitung form November 2012 to January 2014. Completely Randomized Design Factorial (CADF) was used as design of experiment of this study. The first factor is the storage duration (L) that consist of 3 treatment levels those are L7 = storage duration (7 months), L8 = storage duration (8 months) and L9 = storage duration (9 months), while the second factor is the invigoration treatment which consist of 4 treatment levels, those are K = controls, P = osmoconditioning using PEG 8000, H = hydration-dehydration and A = husk. The results showed that treatment of storage duration and invigoration statistically significant to the seed viability and vigor of Bangka local rice accession Mayang. However, there was no interaction between storage duration and invigoration. The best result was storage duration of 7 months for seed viability and vigor, while hydration-dehydration method was the best result on invigoration treatment

Abstract

Rice production in the Bangka Islands often fluctuates, which is thought to be because the quality of the seeds used in the Bangka Islands is still very low. One of the efforts that can be made to maintain the quality of seeds during storage is temperature and humidity. This experiment aims to determine the best storage of local red rice, varieties IR 64 and Inpari 42 in the Bangka Islands. This experiment was carried out at the Seed Technology Laboratory, Agrotechnology Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Fisheries and Maritime Affairs, Bangka Belitung University. The experiment was carried out using a completely randomized design where the storage temperature was the factor, namely room temperature and refrigerator temperature and was repeated 4 times. The experimental results showed that local Red Ampai rice seeds, and IR64 and Inpari42 seeds stored at room temperature had better viability and vigor values than refrigerator temperatures. The type of packaging in the form of plastic also influences the storage of rice seeds. Keywords : local accession, seed quality, storage period, temperature

Abstract

Packaging is a tool used to protect products from physical damage; edible films can improve food quality and reduce plastic-based packaging materials. This study aimed to determine the effect of adding whey protein concentration on gelatin edible film thickness, water vapour transmission rate, and moisture content. This research used a completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments consisted of P0 (0 g whey: 2 g gelatin), P1 (0.05 g whey: 2 g gelatin), P2 (0.10 g whey: 2 g gelatin), P3 (0.15 g whey: 2 g gelatin). The addition of whey protein had a significant effect (P<0.01) on the thickness of the gelatin film. However, no significant effect (P>0.05) was found on the water vapour transmission rate and moisture content. Nonetheless, employing whey protein can reduce the water vapour transmission rate and increase the moisture content of edible gelatin film. The findings suggest that incorporating whey protein can enhance the physicochemical properties of gelatin films. Using whey protein at a concentration of 0.05 g is deemed the optimum treatment.

Abstract

The importance of quality seeds that are adaptive in local rice production centers greatly determines plant productivity, especially for strategic food commodities that are really needed by the community. The successful application of superior rice seeds cannot be separated from the farmer's rationality regarding the use and usefulness of these superior seeds. This research aims to identify superior rice seeds used by farmers in production centers and analyze the comparative effect of using superior seeds on the welfare of farmers in South Bangka Regency and Bangka Regency. Data collection was carried out through a survey of 60 rice farmers in Toboali sub-district, South Bangka Regency and in West Mendo District, Bangka Regency. The research data was analyzed using descriptive analysis and propensity score matching to see the effect on farmer welfare. Based on the research results, it was concluded that the characteristics of the superior rice seeds used by farmers in the production centers of Bangka Regency and South Bangka Regency had different characteristics based on the specific location and type of rice produced. The use of superior rice seeds has the effect of increasing income, increasing productivity and increasing the selling price of rice which has significant differences between the two groups of rice farmers in Rias Village, Toboali District, Bangka Regency and rice farmers in Payabenua Village, Mendo Barat District, Bangka Regency.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penggunaan bahasa prokem yang ditinjau dari sudut pandang sosiolinguistik melalui permasalahan tentang 1) bagaimana bentuk penggunaan bahasa prokem dalam media sosial instagram di kalangan remaja, dan 2) bagaimana fungsi penggunaan bahasa prokem dalam media sosial instagram di kalangan remaja. Tujuan penelitian yakni, 1) mendeskripsikan bentuk penggunaan bahasa prokem dalam media sosial instagram di kalangan remaja dan 2) mendeskripsikan fungsi penggunaan bahasa prokem dalam media sosial instagram di kalangan remaja. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yakni, teknik simak, teknik catat, dokumentasi/screenshoot, dan kuesioner. Analisis data dilakukan dengan urutan pereduksian data, penyajian data, penerjemahan, dan penarikan simpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa bentuk bahasa prokem dalam media sosial instagram di kalangan remaja terdapat 3 bentuk yang sering digunakan yakni (1) bahasa prokem berbentuk singkatan terdapat 7 data, (2) bentuk akronim terdapat 10 data, dan (3) bentuk reduplikasi terdapat 5 data. Fungsi penggunaan bahasa prokem yang ditemukan dalam penelitian ini meliputi (1) bahasa prokem fungsi emotif ditemukan 10 data, (2) bahasa prokem fungsi konatif terdapat 3 data, (3) bahasa prokem fungsi fatik, terdapat 2 data, (4) bahasa prokem fungsi puitik terdapat 3 data.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the financial performance of PT.Radhika Maritim Indotama Baubau. In obtaining the desired data the author used two methods, namely the literature study method and documentation, which then used secondary data to complete it. The data used is analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively by analyzing the company’s financial reports, using calculations in the form of financial ratios (liquidity, solvency, and profitability). Based on the results of the research carried out, it was found that the liquidity ratio analysis from 2019 to 2022 was seen from the current ratio and cash ratio was considered not good. From the results of the solvency ratio analysis from 2019 to 2022, the debt to asset ratio and debt to equity ratio is considered not good. From the results of the activity ratio analysis from 2019 to 2022, the Receivable Turn Over and total assets turnover is considered not good. From the results of the profitability ratio analysis from 2019 to 2022, it can be seen that return on total assets and return on total equity are considered not good.

Abstract

Pembelajaran pada siswa dapat menumbuhkan kompetensi, kompetensi pada penelitian ini dilakukan pada mata pelajaran matematika. Melalui soal higher order thinking skills (HOTS) terdapat tantangan pada siswa dalam mengikuti pelajaran matematika, untuk memecahkan permasalahan siswa diharap memiliki pondasi konsep matematika, disposisi matematis yang kuat dan kesiapan siswa dalam belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan terciptanya efektivitas soal HOTS dalam penguasaan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa, serta pengembangan minat dan keterkaitan terhadap matematika lebih meningkat dan kesiapan siswa dalam mengerjakan soal HOTS lebih baik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen semu yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Nilai uji hipotesis pemahaman konsep matematik thitung > ttabel = 2,205 >  2.00172 berarti perbedaan signifikan antara hasil pemahaman konsep matematika siswa yang diberi penerapan soal HOTS dan siswa yang tidak diberi penerapan soal HOTS. Hasil uji hipotesis disposisi matematis nilai thitung 3,546 > 2.00172 = ttabel. Hal ini menunjukkan disposisi matematis siswa yang diberi penerapan soal HOTS lebih tinggi dari pada siswa tidak diberi penerapan soal HOTS. Dalam kesiapan belajar siswa antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol tidak terdapat perbedaan. Siswa memiliki persiapan baik ketika mengikuti proses pembelajaran di sekolah.

Abstract

Advances in technology have driven the need for efficient water management systems. This study presents a SCADA-based water management system that integrates LabVIEW and Arduino to monitor and regulate water levels and flow rates in a storage tank. The system uses an HC-SRF04 ultrasonic sensor for water level measurement with 99.77% accuracy and an HX710 pressure sensor, which achieves 98.54% accuracy. The LabVIEW interface displays real-time data, giving users an intuitive view of system performance. A proportional integral derivative (PID) algorithm optimizes the water pump through pulse width modulation (PWM), achieving water flow rate control. The Ziegler-Nichols method tunes the PID parameters to Kp = 16.59, Ti = 1.102, and Td = 0.2755. This tuning ensures the system maintains a consistent target flow rate of 4 liters per minute (L/min) with minimal variation. Initial testing showed a 2.5% overshoot but stabilized at the desired flow rate within 10 seconds, indicating effective control. This SCADA system reduces water and energy waste by enabling continuous real-time monitoring and control. The system provides accurate data through a LabVIEW interface, ensuring effective and informed operational decisions. This robust solution supports efficient water management for industrial and environmental applications, contributing to sustainability and resource optimization.
