Abstract

This study aims to explore the effect of technology utilization on increasing fourth-grade students' interest and motivation in learning social studies. The research method used was qualitative with a phenomenological approach, involving 22 students at elementary school 2 Tomohon. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews, classroom observations, and group discussions. The results showed that the use of technology, such as tablet devices and interactive educational applications, significantly increased students' interest and motivation. As many as 85% of students stated that technology made learning more interesting, while 78% felt more motivated to learn. In addition, student participation in discussions also increased, and they developed useful digital skills. However, challenges such as limited access and unstable internet connections need to be addressed. These findings suggest that integrating technology in social studies learning can create a more interactive and effective learning environment and provide recommendations for the development of better educational practices. Based on the results of the research conducted, it can be concluded that the use of technology in social studies learning makes a significant contribution to increasing students' interest and motivation to learn, where 85% of students stated that the use of technology makes social studies lessons more interesting, while 78% of students feel more motivated to learn when technology is used in learning activities.

Abstract

Social Studies learning in elementary schools still encounters the problem of low student achievement, caused by teacher-centered approaches that emphasize rote memorization. This condition limits students' active participation in the learning process and reduces their interest and critical thinking skills. This study aims to analyze the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on students’ learning interest and learning outcomes in Social Studies. This research employed a quasi-experimental method with a post-test only control group design. The subjects involved 50 fifth-grade students, divided into an experimental class and a control class, each consisting of 25 students, selected through cluster random sampling. Data were collected using objective tests, interest questionnaires, interview guidelines, and observation sheets. Data analysis was conducted using MANOVA. The results revealed that the average learning interest and outcomes of students in the experimental class were higher than those in the control class. The MANOVA test showed a Wilks' Lambda value of 0.458, F = 20.462, with a significance level of 0.000, indicating a significant simultaneous difference between the two groups. These findings suggest that implementing the PBL model is effective in enhancing students' interest and learning outcomes in Social Studies. The implication of this study recommends integrating problem-based learning models to create active, meaningful, and competence-oriented learning environments.

Abstract

IPS education is one of the subjects in elementary school. The purpose of social studies learning in elementary schools is to see the perspective of students' social life in socializing with other human beings in dealing with and solving problems faced by students everyday. In the Merdeka Curriculum, students are prepared not only with knowledge skills, but also with the character of students in living their daily lives as good Indonesian citizens. For this reason, with social studies learning in elementary schools, it becomes the basis for students to learn about social life and social participation in society. Of course, at school, the role of the independent curriculum in social studies learning is very important in building the character of students in elementary schools according to the profile of Pancasila students.

Abstract

Less than optimal learning results in the character and learning outcomes of students, where at this time the character and student learning outcomes are not optimal and can be said to be low. For this reason, research aimed at analyzing the application of Tri Hita Karana-based Subak in strengthening the character and learning outcomes of elementary school students was carried out. The research design is a quasi-experimental design in the form of a post-test group design. The research sample was 60 students consisting of 30 experimental class students and 30 control class students. Collecting research data used test and questionnaire methods. The instrument used was a test instrument in the form of a description of 10 questions to test learning outcomes, and a questionnaire instrument consisting of 30 statements, to measure learning outcomes. Data analysis methods and techniques used were quantitative descriptive analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The data analysis technique used in this research was Manova. The results indicate that there is an effect of the application of Tri Hita Karana based Subak learning on the students’ character and learning outcomes. This condition was shown from the results of data analysis where the average value of students' character and student learning outcomes who were taught with Tri Hita Karana based Subak learning was higher. In addition, the research findings also indicate that the learning outcome variable is strongly influenced by the Tri Hita Karana-based subak learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the factors that influence the occurrence of mayantara pornography crime and the efforts made by the Buleleng Regional Police in preventing and overcoming mayantara pornography crime in the Buleleng Regency area. This study used a type of empirical juridical research. Data collection techniques are carried out by means of document studies and interviews with Ps. Kaurmintu of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Buleleng Police, where later the data obtained will be analyzed in a qualitative descriptive manner. From the results of the study, it was obtained that the factors that cause pornography crimes are internal factors and external factors. Internal factors include the individual himself and his family, while external factors include environmental influences, advances in information technology, laws governing pornography and law enforcement. In preventing and tackling pornography crimes, the Buleleng Regional Police made various efforts to overcome this pornography crime. The Buleleng Police conducted investigations and investigations into pornography crimes that occurred in the Buleleng Regency area, in these investigations and investigations the Buleleng Police collaborated with Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and carried out cyber media surveillance or cyber patrols.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the implementation of learning Social Sciences (IPS) in shaping student character and knowing the implementation / implementation of student character education at MI Hamzanwadi No 1 Pancor. This research is a descriptive study using a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were Social Sciences (IPS) Teachers and Grade IV Elementary School Students with data collection techniques including interviews, observation, documentation, and content analysis. Data validity used data triangulation and method triangulation. The results of the study show that the process of implementing or applying Social Sciences (IPS) learning has been carried out properly in accordance with national education goals and then carrying out character education or forming the character of elementary school students in accordance with the cultural characteristics of the local community.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) bagaimana proses pelaksanaan pemilihan Kepala Desa tahun 2019 di Desa Baluk, (2) tingkat partisipasi masyarakat Desa Baluk dalam pemilihan Kepala Desa, (3) factor-faktor apa saja yang mengpengaruhi tingkat partisipasi masyarakat di Desa Baluk. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode wawan cara, kepustakaan dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa: (1) Proses Pelaksanaan pemilihan Kepala Desa Baluk dimulai dari tahap persiapan, pencalonan, pemungutan suara, dan penetapan telah berjalan dengan aman, tertib dan sesuai dengan Peraturan Undang-Undang No. 6 Tahun 2014 tentang Desa, Pengangkatan dan Pemberhentian Kepala Desa. (2) tingkat partisipasi masyarakat Desa Baluk sangatlah rendah dimana dalam hasil penelitian peneliti menemukan bahwa ketidak tahuan adanya informasi tentang rekam jejak masing-masing calon dan banyaknya msayarakat yang merantau. (3) factor-faktor yang mempengaruhi tingkat partisipasi rendah dapat penulis simpulkan bahwa ada 3 faktor yang dimana dari Usia, Pekerjaan, Pendidikan dan kurangnya sosialisasi baik secara media sosial tentang calon kepala desa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) Mengetahui proses penanaman Nilai - Nilai Keterampilan Demokrasi Siswa di SMP Negeri 3 Nusa Penida, dan (2) Mengetahui dan mengalisa Upaya-Upaya menanamkan Nilai-Nilai Keterampilan Demokrasi Siswa di SMP Negeri 3 Nusa Penida. Data yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini data studi kasus, yaitu suatu deskripsi intensif dan analisis fenomena tertentu atau satuan sosial seperti individu, Kelompok, institusi atau masyarakat. kualitatif melalui wawancara, dokumentasi dan observasi menunjukkan bahwa (1) Pelaksanaan Budaya Demokrasi sudah dilaksanakannya nilai-nilai demokrasi dan sudah diterapkannya unsur-unsur budaya demokrasi. Nilai-nilai demokrasi terlihat dalam penggunaan buku sumber yang beragam, pendidik yang demokratis dan adanya sarana penunjang. Sedangkan, penerapan unsur-unsur budaya demokrasi terlihat dalam kebebasan peserta didik memilih ekstrakurikuler, peserta didik yang memiliki kedudukan yang sama dan diadakannya family gathering, pengajian, dan seterusnya. (2) Upaya Sekolah dalam Pelaksanaan budaya demokrasi Demokrasi di SMP Negeri 3 Nusa Penida. Upaya yang dilakukan oleh SMP Negeri 3 Nusa Penida dalam pelaksanaan budaya demokrasi meliputi perencanaan sekolah dalam pelaksanaan budaya demokrasi dan program sekolah untuk pelaksanaan budaya demokrasi.

Abstract

This research was conducted in Wae Codi Village, West Cibal District, Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of the Village Consultative Body in Wae Codi Village, West Cibal District, Manggarai Regency. The type of research used in this study is a descriptive approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and study documentation. The results of the research carried out show that the role of the Village Consultative Body in the Village Government institution in Wae Codi Village, West Cibal District, Manggarai Regency has not run optimally according to the applicable laws and regulations. In this case, the legal basis used by the researcher refers to the Regulation of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 110 of 2016 concerning the Village Consultative Body. Through the facts found by researchers in the field related to the role of BPD in Wae Codi Village, it has not run optimally with several obstacles hampering BPD performance, namely (1) Facilities and infrastructure; (2) BPD members who do not understand the function; (3) The community does not understand the scope of the BPD; and (4) There is no socialization from the government regarding the existence of BPD in Village Government institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of Civics Teachers in Efforts to Improve Student Discipline. The location of this research was carried out at SMA N 1 Cibal. This study uses a case study design with the Miles and Huberman qualitative model method. The subjects in this study were school principals, students, PPKn teachers, and students. The data collection method used the instruments of observation, interviews, and documentation, then the data analysis method was through: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research results show: (1) where SMA N 1 Cibal has strict rules and sanctions consisting of 10 regulations that have their own points. (2) Efforts made by PPKn teachers in an effort to improve student discipline have been good through: enforcement of strict rules and sanctions, instilling awareness in students, exemplary teachers, through socialization, giving punishment, teachers always reminding students about discipline. (3) Supporting and inhibiting factors for PPKn teachers in an effort to improve student discipline: a) supporting factors for the existence of strict rules and sanctions, good physical condition of students, awareness from within students, teachers always reflect a disciplined attitude, the establishment of good relationships between teachers and students. b) Inhibiting factors for the diverse student environment, stubborn students, lack of parental support, lack of parental supervision, student association.
