Abstract

This study aims to analyze the utilization of social media in improving the English language proficiency of students at STAI Tapanuli Padangsidimpuan. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method with a field research approach conducted from January to May 2025. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving students of the Islamic Education Study Program who actively used social media as a learning tool for English. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model, consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that students actively utilize various platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp, and Facebook for English learning. YouTube serves as the main platform for studying grammar, listening, and pronunciation; Instagram is used for visual microlearning; TikTok functions as an edutainment medium; WhatsApp facilitates collaboration and discussion; while Facebook acts as a global learning community. The use of social media has a significant positive impact on improving students listening, vocabulary, speaking, writing, and reading skills, as well as their learning motivation. Supporting factors include technological accessibility, the availability of educational content, and students familiarity with digital platforms. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors include distractions, information overload, lack of feedback, limited internet access, exposure to inappropriate content, and the risk of addiction that may affect students health and learning concentration

Abstract

This study explores the critical role of technology in supporting poverty alleviation efforts in Indonesia. Using a Systematic Literature Review approach, this study analyzes various writings that explain the impact of the use of information and communication technology on important sectors such as education, agriculture, MSMEs, public services, and social assistance programs. The findings of this study indicate that digitalization has made processes more efficient, improved data accuracy, and provided lower-income communities with wider access to resources and economic opportunities. However, challenges remain, including the digital divide, low technological skills, and limited infrastructure. Therefore, inter-sectoral collaboration and inclusive policies are needed so that technology can truly function as an effective empowerment tool to overcome poverty sustainably in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the non-neutrality of civil servants in the 2024 regional head elections in Gowa Regency; communication in the supervision of the Gowa Regency Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) to realise civil servant neutrality; and the actions of the Gowa Regency Bawaslu in handling violations of civil servant neutrality. The research method used was qualitative field research. The research approach used was organisational communication theory. The data sources were primary and secondary data. The data collection methods consisted of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that the factors causing civil servants to be non-neutral in the 2024 regional head elections in Gowa Regency are pressure from the incumbent or candidates who support the incumbent; temptation, personal interests in positions or benefits; kinship or connections; and supervision that is not yet comprehensive and a lack of supervisory human resources. Bawaslu conducted communication in the form of socialisation, public education, participatory supervision through dialogue and seminars, coordination with local governments, BKD, and inspectorates, as well as media campaigns. In handling violations, Bawaslu issued appeal letters, processed reports, and enforced the law through coordination with the Integrated Law Enforcement Centre (Gakkumdu), the State Civil Service Agency (BKN), and related agencies. Overall, this study emphasises the importance of educational, coordinative, and participatory institutional communication, as well as the need to strengthen regulations and guidance for ASN to maintain bureaucratic neutrality. These efforts are strategic steps toward building a professional, independent, and integrity-driven bureaucracy in the implementation of regional elections.

Abstract

Abstrak. Masyarakat ekonomi produktif di Indonesia terdiri dari pelaku usaha, pekerja, dan konsumen yang terlibat dalam proses produksi barang dan jasa. Dalam konteks ini, sengketa keperdataan dapat muncul akibat berbagai alasan, seperti pelanggaran kontrak, perselisihan mengenai hak kepemilikan, atau ketidaksepahaman dalam transaksi bisnis. Risiko bisnis adalah bagian yang tidak terpisahkan dari dunia usaha, terutama bagi masyarakat ekonomi produktif kategori pemula. Berbagai jenis risiko, mulai dari risiko keuangan, pemasaran, operasional, teknologi, hingga risiko hukum, dapat mengancam kelangsungan bisnis pengusaha pemula di Indonesia. Pemahaman yang baik tentang risiko dan langkah mitigasi yang tepat sangat diperlukan. Pemerintah, lembaga pendidikan, serta sektor swasta harus bersinergi untuk memberikan pelatihan, pembiayaan, dan akses informasi yang memadai agar pengusaha pemula dapat mengelola risiko dengan lebih baik dan membangun usaha yang berkelanjutan. Diseminasi dilakukan pada Kelompok Pengusaha Pemula, dalam pendampingan ini menggunakan community based development. Tahap 1 Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat. analisis kebutuhan mitra dan pengurusan administrasi kegiatan dan persiapan pelaksanaan. Tahap ke-2 Kegiatan PKM dengan dua sesi, yakni pemaparan materi dan diskusi. Metode diskusi dengan pendekatan critical isu strategies, peserta diberikan kesempatan untuk mendiskusikan permasalahan terkini yang berkaitan dengan pemahaman yang mumpuni  sehingga bisa memenuhi standar administrasi pengelolaan usaha dan terhindar dari resiko bisnis dimasa mendatang. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan edukatif, komunikatif, dan akomodatif dalam memberikan pencerahan dan solusi terkait syarat administratif dalam menjalankan usaha serta hak-hak konsumen yang dilindungi oleh undang-undang, dan negara. Metode ini untuk melihat dan menilai isu-isu jangka pendek dalam konteks Hukum Bisnis.Kata Kunci: Resiko Bisnis, Hukum Bisnis, Ekonomi Pemula, UMKM Pemula.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the contribution of internal audit in enhancing the effectiveness of cash flow control through a systematic review of publicly available literature, including official publications from OJK, BI, BPS, and academic journals. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, this research synthesizes findings related to audit procedures, internal control mechanisms, fraud prevention, and organizational governance. The results indicate that internal audit plays a crucial role in strengthening the structure of internal control, improving the accuracy of cash transaction records, and ensuring compliance with authorization and verification procedures. Internal audit also contributes to identifying early indicators of misstatements, irregularities, and fraud risks within the cash flow cycle. Moreover, the competence, independence, and professionalism of internal auditors significantly influence the quality of audit outcomes and the reliability of financial information produced. This study concludes that internal audit is a strategic function that not only safeguards company assets but also enhances financial transparency, accountability, and decision-making effectiveness. The implications highlight the need for continuous auditor development and the adoption of robust internal control frameworks to optimize cash flow governance.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to find out the The Effectiveness of Using Subtitle Animated Cartoon in Improving Students’ Vocabulary Mastery at Grade VIII of SMP N 3 Padangsidimpuan. This research conducted by using Quantitative method with a pre-experimental design with one group of pre-test and post-test. This research population consisted of eighth grade students at SMP N 3 Padangsidimpuan, with the research sample being Class VIII-3, which consisted of 32 Students, selected by purposive sampling technique. The Data from this research, collected from the results of pre-test and post-test materials and used as an assessment to determine how the assessment of students ' knowledge before and after using Subtitled animated cartoon as a medium of teaching and learning. The result of this research revealed that using English cartoon films as a media of teaching and learning is effective for students in eighth grade students of SMP N 3 Padangsidimpuan in improving their vocabulary mastery especially word meaning and word classes such as noun and verb. This is demonstrated by how much the student's grades have improved. where the pre-test mean score of students is 30.34 and the post-test mean score of students is 71.06, indicating a 134.21% increase in students in this research. Furthermore, data analysis results show that the value of t-test (15.55) is greater than the value of t-table (2.040). Based on these findings, it is possible to conclude that there is a significant difference in students' "vocabulary mastery before and after they use English cartoon film as a media of teaching and learning process," demonstrating that English cartoon film is effective for improving students' vocabulary mastery.

Abstract

Program Penguatan Kapasitas Organisasi Kemahasiswaan (PPK ORMAWA) FORMAKES Universitas Hasanuddin dilaksanakan di Desa Boddie, Kecamatan Mandalle, Kabupaten Pangkajene dan Kepulauan, sebagai upaya pemberdayaan masyarakat pesisir melalui inovasi pengolahan hasil laut dan peningkatan kesehatan kerja petani rumput laut. Program ini menerapkan pendekatan partisipatif yang mencakup tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, hingga monitoring dan evaluasi. Kegiatan utama meliputi pelatihan pengolahan kerupuk dan mie berbasis rumput laut serta penyuluhan tentang penggunaan alat pelindung diri (APD) untuk mencegah dermatitis akibat paparan langsung dengan rumput laut. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan terhadap pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta, dengan rata-rata peningkatan nilai pre-test ke post-test pada pelatihan kerupuk (60 ke 89) dan mie (55 ke 87). Selain itu, penyuluhan meningkatkan kesadaran petani mengenai pentingnya keselamatan kerja dan perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat. Program ini berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan kemandirian ekonomi, kesehatan kerja, serta mendukung terwujudnya Desa Boddie sebagai Seaweed Empowerment Village yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This paper discusses the analysis of the implementation of the role of the driving teacher in the education environment in Mandailing Natal. The findings indicate that through the driving teacher, creative, adaptive, and innovative learning processes, especially in the field of technology, have begun to develop. Through the implementation of the driving teacher program, teachers experience a learning system that focuses on students, thus developing individual student achievement rather than learning material. Furthermore, in the implementation of learning, driving teachers will be more innovative in more engaging learning methods and media in the classroom and adapt more and develop skills in the field of technology. In addition to the focus of driving teachers on self-development, they also focus on providing change and movement to non-driving teachers. However, these efforts often encounter obstacles because many non-driving teachers are still reluctant to change from habits that have been implemented in the learning experience. The findings also obtained most of the suggestions put forward by informants for the sustainability of the driving teacher program even though the minister has changed and the ideas are also different.

Abstract

In cases of murder or suspicious death, an autopsy reports serve as crucial evidence in criminal adjudication. Based on Indonesian criminal procedural law, a Visum et Repertum issued by an authorized forensic doctor is legally recognized as expert evidence for determining the cause, manner, and circumstances of death. In the case examined, both the Visum et Repertum and the testimony of a general practitioner who observed the autopsy process, subsequently legalized by a notary, were submitted as evidence in criminal proceedings. This study examines the normative ambiguity between criminal procedural law and notarial law, particularly regarding the evidentiary status of a general practitioner’s testimony concerning autopsy observations that is subsequently legalized by a notary. This research uses a normative legal analysis, drawing on statutory and conceptual approaches, to analyze the framework of criminal procedural law, regulations governing medical practice, and the juridical limits of notarial authority. The findings confirm that submitting a general practitioner’s testimony on autopsy observations, even when legalized by a notary, does not create a conflict of norms. Instead, it constitutes a misapplication of evidentiary principles. A Visum et Repertum, prepared by a duly authorized forensic physician, possesses definitive evidentiary authority as it is issued within statutory mandate. By contrast, the testimony of a general practitioner, even if notarized, lacks the legal force to constitute valid evidence, as notaries are not authorized to legitimize forensic medical findings. This article clarifies that notarizing autopsy observations does not create normative conflict, but reflects a misapplication of evidentiary authority in criminal procedure.

Abstract

Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) memiliki peran strategis dalam mendukung perekonomian nasional, khususnya melalui kontribusinya terhadap Produk Domestik Bruto (PDB). Meskipun demikian, masih banyak pelaku UMKM yang belum memiliki pemahaman memadai mengenai perhitungan harga pokok produksi (HPP), sehingga berpotensi menimbulkan kesalahan dalam penetapan harga jual. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman pelaku UMKM terkait perhitungan HPP melalui pelatihan akuntansi sederhana dengan pendekatan Service Learning. Metode ini memungkinkan mahasiswa untuk mengaplikasikan pengetahuan akademik secara langsung dalam konteks nyata. Pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan melalui lima tahapan, yaitu pelatihan internal mahasiswa, identifikasi dan sosialisasi kepada UMKM mitra, persiapan teknis, pelaksanaan pelatihan perhitungan HPP, serta evaluasi pascakegiatan. Mitra UMKM dalam kegiatan ini adalah Warung Yosua yang berlokasi di Kota Makassar. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman pelaku UMKM dalam menghitung harga pokok produksi (HPP) dan break-even point (BEP). Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis praktik lapangan efektif dalam membantu UMKM meningkatkan kemampuan pengelolaan keuangan usaha.
