Abstract

The flower of Telang usually grows in the yard or the edge of the forest. This plant typically is a gourd plant. Its seed is classified as orthodox seed, meaning that its seed naturally can be characterized as dried without being damaged. This study aimed to determine the viability and vigor of the Telang seeds (Clitoria ternatea L). A Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisted of 6 treatments based on seed origin: South Ternate, North Ternate, Tidore, Thailand, Subaim, and Central Ternate. The experiment was repeated four times, so it consisted of 24 units. The observation variables consisted of growth potential, germination capacity, the vigor of sprouts, growth speed, synchronous growth, and dead seeds. We performed an Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) to analyze the data. The results showed that the origin of seeds had a significant effect on growth potential, germination, sprout vigor, growth speed, synchronous growth, and dead seed. The best seed viability and vigor were found in North Ternate seeds.

Abstract

This article analyzes the development potential of a Small Modular Reactor (SMR) as a solution energy transition in Indonesia to reduce dependence on fossil fuels, especially oil and coal. Through a literature review, the article compares SMR performance with Generator Electricity Steam Power (PLTU) in terms of energy capacity, impact, and additional applications such as water desalination and hydrogen production. The results showed that the fourth generation SMRs (HTGR, MSR) have high-efficiency electricity, more tall 40-50%, compared to Steam Power Plant (30-40%), with low carbon (3,676-5,388 g CO2 equivalent/kWh for SMR and 1,000 g CO2 /kWh for PLTU). SMR is also capable of producing desalinated water at the lowest cost (USD 0.398/m3 or Rp 6,574/m3) and sustainable hydrogen (9.63 g/kWh). However, adoption of SMR in Indonesia faces complex challenges, including high FOAK costs, regulations that are not yet adaptive, limited supply of special fuels, gaps in skilled human resources, and community resistance regarding waste. Nuclear. This article recommends regulatory revisions, financial incentives based on KPBU schemes, HR training through international collaboration, and public education strategies to increase social acceptance. With integrated policies, SMR has the potential to become a pillar of Indonesia's energy transition towards decarbonization and sustainable energy security.

Abstract

This study undertakes a qualitative exploration of the principal characters' personality traits within the 2007 film Ratatouille. Specifically, it aims to delineate the primary character's personality profile and to identify the salient factors influencing the personality development of these central figures. Employing a qualitative descriptive methodology, primary data was derived from the film itself, focusing on the personalities of the main characters. Data analysis adhered to the framework proposed by Miles and Huberman. Findings indicate that the character of Linguini exhibits a constellation of personality traits including insecurity, shyness, timidity, and introversion. In contrast, Skinner is characterized by anger and ambition. Several factors contributed to the personality development of both Linguini and Skinner. Linguini's personality trajectory, marked by a transition from insecurity to confidence, is attributable to environmental and learning factors. Skinner, initially driven by anger and ambition, undergoes a transformation toward greed and vengefulness as a result of environmental pressures and unconscious motivations, ultimately culminating in a desire to usurp control of the restaurant

Abstract

The coconut plantations in Maffa village are spaced approximately 7 x 9 meters apart, providing enough room for the chili plants to grow. The shading from the coconut plants, at about 45 percent, is suitable for the growth of chili plants. An experiment was conducted to observe the application of local micro-organisms on chili and its influence on the phenotype of chilies in coconut-sheltered conditions also the resistance to anthracnose attacks.. The experiment was held in the Mafa village coconut plantation from November 2022 to March 2023. The research was implemented using factorial treatment based on Randomized Block Design with 30 percent and 45 percent coconut shelter respectively, and the concentration of local micro-organisms is 5ml and 10ml per liter of water, respectively. The observational data was analyzed using the F-test and a treatment difference test at a five percent significance level. The research findings indicated that shade level and local microorganism concentration significantly impacted, the number of brunches, and the fruit weight. The highest chili production was 476.39 g tree-1 harvest-1.Keywords: Chili, micro-organism, coconut plantation.
