Abstract

This study investigates the influence of perceived safety on tourists’ visiting decisions to Pantai Binasi, Kota Pariaman, a coastal destination facing security-related concerns such as local harassment and lack of environmental monitoring. Using a quantitative, causal-associative approach, data were gathered from 100 visitors through incidental sampling and analyzed using descriptive statistics and simple linear regression via SPSS 26. The safety variable was rated moderately (mean = 3.13; TCR = 62.58%), while the visiting decision also received a moderate score (mean = 3.15; TCR = 62.98%). Regression results show that perceived safety has a significant positive effect on visiting decisions (p < 0.001), with a determination coefficient (R²) of 0.572, indicating that 57.2% of the variation in tourist decisions is explained by perceived safety. These findings highlight the critical role of safety in tourism behavior and underscore the need for improved destination management strategies, particularly in enhancing physical security, mitigating local disturbances, and providing clear safety signage to foster a more trustworthy and welcoming environment for visitors.

Abstract

AbstractPurslane classified weed as a medicinal plant. Its medicinal properties, so that purslane changes status from wild plants or weeds to cultivation crops. However, to cultivate them, the growth criteria need to be met, such as optimal light intensity and to support purslane growth. The aim of the study is to determine the optimal percentage of light intensity to support growth and purslane yield. The experiments were carried out in the field and several observations were observed in the Laboratory. The method used is a completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 5 repeated. The treatments consist of shade with light intensity of 0%, 25%, 50% and 75%. Analysis to differentiate the treatment using is the smallest significant difference. The results of this study indicate that the shade of 0%, 25%, 50% and 75% affect the diameter of the canopy, fresh weight, specific leaf area, chlorophyll content and the number of stomata. Shade 75%  plants produce the best growth in canopy diameter, fresh weight and chlorophyll content. Purslane is more tolerant of environments with limited lightKeywords: Shade, Purslane, Tolerance

Abstract

The flower of Telang usually grows in the yard or the edge of the forest. This plant typically is a gourd plant. Its seed is classified as orthodox seed, meaning that its seed naturally can be characterized as dried without being damaged. This study aimed to determine the viability and vigor of the Telang seeds (Clitoria ternatea L). A Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisted of 6 treatments based on seed origin: South Ternate, North Ternate, Tidore, Thailand, Subaim, and Central Ternate. The experiment was repeated four times, so it consisted of 24 units. The observation variables consisted of growth potential, germination capacity, the vigor of sprouts, growth speed, synchronous growth, and dead seeds. We performed an Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) to analyze the data. The results showed that the origin of seeds had a significant effect on growth potential, germination, sprout vigor, growth speed, synchronous growth, and dead seed. The best seed viability and vigor were found in North Ternate seeds.

Abstract

Drug-Resistant Tuberculosis (DR-TB) represents a significant global health challenge with complex treatment and control issues. In Bekasi Regency, a metropolitan area with high population density, DR-TB incidence shows an increase requiring special attention. This study aims to identify the demographic profile of DR-TB patients to understand disease distribution characteristics and design appropriate management strategies. A descriptive study conducted at Bekasi Regency Hospital from October 2022 to October 2024. Data collected through MDR-TB outpatient medical records identified via Molecular Quick Test. Variables studied included age, gender, district of residence, and education level. Data analyzed using descriptive statistics and presented in tables, diagrams, and graphs. Among 338 DR-TB patients, the majority were aged 41-50 years (27.1%), with male patient dominance (61.5%). Tambun Selatan District had the highest cases (16.9%), with a population density of 10,063 people/km². Most patients were high school graduates (74.3%), with 89.6% originating from Bekasi Regency. The demographic profile of DR-TB patients at Bekasi Regency Hospital shows patterns similar to general tuberculosis cases. Tambun Selatan District exhibits the highest spread risk, indicating the need for targeted interventions in DR-TB prevention and control.
