Abstract

Developing a project to strengthen the Pancasila student profile is an effective strategy for teachers to improve the quality of learning through innovative activities relevant to the challenges and demands of modern developments. However, the implementation of the project at SDN Karang Mekar 1 Banjarmasin, a partner school, still faces limitations, such as limited teacher knowledge and skills in developing innovative and economically valuable projects. This community service activity aims to improve teacher professionalism in implementing the project to strengthen the Pancasila student profile through aromatherapy candle-making training at SDN Karang Mekar 1 Banjarmasin. The activity was implemented through five stages of community service: outreach, training, technology application, mentoring and evaluation, and program sustainability. The aromatherapy candle-making training has demonstrated significant results. This activity successfully improved teachers' understanding of project-based learning, as evidenced by improved post-test scores compared to pre-test scores. Furthermore, teachers' active listening, note-taking, practice, and discussion during the training were also positive. These results indicate that the training has been effective in improving teachers' competency in implementing the Pancasila student profile project, which is expected to improve the quality of learning at the school.

Abstract

Purpose –This study aims to describe how sociodrama-based heroism learning shapes the character of friendship in elementary school students through contextual, participatory, and local history-based learning experiences.Methodology – This study uses a qualitative, phenomenological design. The research subjects included students in grades IV, V, and VI of SDN Sungai Miai 5 Banjarmasin, who served as actors and spectators in the sociodrama, and the class teacher, who served as a supporting informant. Subjects were selected purposively based on students' involvement in learning activities. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and learning documentation. Data analysis was carried out thematically through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and meaning drawing.Findings – The study's results indicate that sociodrama learning shapes students' national character, as reflected in historical awareness, exemplary heroic figures, patriotism, social awareness, responsibility, and nationalistic attitudes. Students' emotional involvement in acting out local historical events encourages the interpretation of heroic values as experiences directly lived and reflected on, not merely understood cognitively.Contribution – This study makes conceptual and practical contributions by confirming that local history-based sociodrama is a relevant learning strategy for strengthening elementary school students' national character through meaningful, contextual learning experiences. These findings broaden understanding of national character education practices and can serve as a reference for teachers in designing more meaningful, contextual, and sustainable history learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

Pembelajaran IPS di sekolah dasar masih menghadapi permasalahan rendahnya keterlibatan peserta didik, seperti kurang aktif bertanya, berdiskusi, dan menyampaikan pendapat selama pembelajaran. Berdasarkan observasi awal di kelas IV SDN Sungai Miai 11, pembelajaran masih didominasi metode ceramah sehingga partisipasi peserta didik belum optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif Think Pair Share (TPS) dalam meningkatkan keterlibatan belajar peserta didik yang meliputi partisipasi aktif, kepercayaan diri, komunikasi, dan kerja sama. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas guru dan peserta didik kelas IV yang dipilih secara purposive. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan TPS melalui tahapan think, pair, dan share mampu meningkatkan keterlibatan belajar peserta didik. Peserta didik menjadi lebih aktif berdiskusi, berani menyampaikan pendapat, serta lebih mudah memahami materi IPS. Penggunaan media flash card dan LKPD juga mendukung efektivitas pembelajaran. Kebaruan penelitian ini terletak pada penerapan TPS berbantuan media visual sederhana untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan belajar peserta didik dalam pembelajaran IPS sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS) di sekolah dasar kerap mengalami kendala dalam meningkatkan keterlibatan aktif siswa karena dominasi metode ceramah dan keterbatasan media pembelajaran yang interaktif. Berdasarkan hasil observasi di kelas IV SDN Pulau Alalak, siswa menunjukkan tingkat partisipasi yang rendah serta kurangnya variasi media yang mampu menyesuaikan karakteristik belajar mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi media pembelajaran permainan ular tangga berbasis teori behavioristik serta mengetahui pengaruhnya terhadap keterlibatan dan fokus belajar siswa pada pembelajaran IPAS di sekolah dasar. Media ini dirancang untuk mendorong pengalaman belajar yang menyenangkan melalui stimulus dan penguatan positif, sesuai dengan prinsip teori behavioristik. Melalui pendekatan ini, siswa diharapkan dapat belajar secara aktif dan termotivasi, serta meningkatkan pemahaman mereka terhadap materi IPAS. Hasil implementasi menunjukkan peningkatan fokus dan keterlibatan siswa selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung

Abstract

This research aims to produce a prototype of interactive teaching materials based on android applications effectively used in thematic learning in Elementary School. This development research uses the DDD-E model with four stages of development which include: (1) decide, (2) design, (3) develop, and (4) evaluate. The products developed are divided into six applications that focus on the sub-theme of Environmental Conservation. Based on the test results, the obtained paired sample test results had a significance value of 0.001, which is less than 0.05. It can be interpreted that there is a significant difference between student learning outcomes before and after using interactive teaching material. The effectiveness of interactive teaching materials can be seen from the results of the N-Gain test with an average gain score of 0.6, which means the level of effectiveness of interactive teaching materials is in the medium category.

Abstract

Abstract: The development of the digital era presents challenges for elementary school students in developing social skills amid the growing tendency toward technology based interactions, creating a need for learning media that align with digital generation characteristics while actively encouraging direct social interaction. This research intends to design and evaluate the efficacy of SELASAR learning media, which combines the classic snakes and ladders game with augmented reality technology to enhance social skills in elementary school students. The research utilized a Research and Development framework based on the DDD-E model, which includes the stages of decide, design, develop, and evaluate. Product trials were conducted using five indicators of social skills: peer relationship, self-management, academic skills, compliance, and affirmation. The results showed that the peer relationship aspect achieved 72.5% and was categorized as good, self-management reached 90% and was categorized as very good, academic skills achieved 81.25 percent and were categorized as very good, compliance reached 72.5% and was categorized as good, and affirmation achieved 76.25% and was categorized as very good. These findings indicate that SELASAR learning media are effective and practical for addressing challenges related to the development of social skills among elementary school students through interactive and technology integrated learning. Abstrak: Perkembangan era digital menghadirkan tantangan bagi siswa sekolah dasar dalam membangun keterampilan sosial di tengah kecenderungan interaksi berbasis teknologi, sehingga diperlukan media pembelajaran yang selaras dengan karakteristik generasi digital sekaligus mendorong interaksi sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan dan menguji efektivitas media pembelajaran SELASAR sebagai integrasi permainan ular tangga tradisional dengan teknologi augmented reality untuk meningkatkan keterampilan sosial siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model DDD-E yang meliputi tahap decide, design, develop, dan evaluate. Uji coba produk berdasarkan lima indikator keterampilan sosial menunjukkan hasil sebagai berikut: (1) aspek peer relationship dengan persentase skor 72,5% tergolong baik; (2) aspek self-management dengan persentase skor 90% tergolong sangat baik; (3) aspek akademik dengan persentase 81,25% tergolong sangat baik; (4) aspek kepatuhan dengan persentase skor 72,5% tergolong baik; (5) aspek penegasan dengan persentase 76,25% tergolong sangat baik. Media pembelajaran SELASAR terbukti efektif dan praktis digunakan dalam menjawab permasalahan terkait pengembangan keterampilan sosial siswa sekolah dasar melalui pembelajaran.
