Abstract

ABSTRACTThis community engagement program aims to address the low level of functional financial literacy among economics teachers in Singkawang City, particularly regarding capital market understanding, risk management, and the identification of illegal investments. This study positions the collaborative workshop as a strategic intervention to strengthen teachers’ competencies as economic educators. Using a workshop-based approach consisting of preliminary surveys, interactive training sessions, case discussions, simple simulations, and evaluation through pre-tests and post-tests, the program systematically measured changes in participants’ knowledge. The results indicate a substantial improvement in financial literacy, evidenced by an increase in the average score from 48.2 to 85.7, accompanied by 100% positive responses regarding the relevance of the material. The program also produced a financial literacy module and lesson plan drafts that can be directly integrated into classroom instruction. These findings confirm that collaborative workshop activities are effective in enhancing teacher competence and are highly applicable for replication in various educational contexts.Keywords: Financial Literacy, Economics Teachers, Capital Market, Illegal Investment, WorkshopABSTRACTAbstrak ditulis dalam bahasa Indonesia yang berisikan isu-isu pokok, tujuan penelitian, metoda/pendekatan dan hasil penelitian. Abstrak ditulis dalam satu alenia, tidak lebih dari 200 kata. (Times New Roman 11 dan spasi tunggal cetak tegak.) Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan menjawab rendahnya literasi keuangan fungsional di kalangan guru ekonomi di Kota Singkawang, terutama terkait pemahaman pasar modal, manajemen risiko, dan identifikasi investasi ilegal. Penelitian ini menempatkan program workshop sebagai intervensi strategis yang berfokus pada peningkatan kapasitas guru sebagai pendidik ekonomi. Dengan menggunakan metode workshop kolaboratif yang terdiri atas survei awal, pelatihan interaktif, studi kasus, simulasi sederhana, serta evaluasi melalui pre-test dan post-test, kegiatan ini mengukur perubahan pengetahuan peserta secara komprehensif. Hasil pelaksanaan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pemahaman literasi keuangan, ditandai dengan kenaikan skor rata-rata dari 48,2 menjadi 85,7, serta respons positif guru yang mencapai 100% pada aspek relevansi materi. Program ini juga menghasilkan modul pembelajaran dan draf RPP sebagai luaran yang dapat langsung diimplementasikan dalam proses pembelajaran ekonomi. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa pendekatan workshop kolaboratif efektif dalam memperkuat kompetensi guru dan relevan untuk direplikasi pada konteks sekolah lainnya.Keywords: Literasi Keuangan, Guru Ekonomi, Pasar Modal, Investasi Ilegal, Workshop

Abstract

Purpose of the study: The purpose of this study is to describe the application and implications of the use of PjBL-based teaching modules on the pedagogic competence of the trainee teachers. Methodology: The research method used is a qualitative approach in descriptive form. The research data was obtained by interviewing informants, namely teachers who participated in the training from State High Schools in Beduai, Sekayam and Entikong Districts. Data processing techniques are data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawn. Main Findings: The results show that the implementation of the use of e-modules in learning in several schools in border areas can provide benefits in improving the quality of learning processes and outcomes, although there are still some challenges in its implementation. The use of e-modules in learning makes a real contribution to efforts to improve teachers' pedagogic competence, especially in the use of technology and the internet in supporting the learning process in the classroom. Novelty/Originality of this study: The researcher intends to test the implications on the pedagogic aspects of teachers who use e-modules as a learning medium in Border Area High Schools in Beduai District, Sekayam District and Entikong District, Sanggau Regency. This sub-district was chosen because it is the outermost sub-district in West Kalimantan, the western region which is directly adjacent to Malaysia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya peran orang tua sebagai fasilitator dalam menunjang prestasi belajar siswa. Dalam proses pendidikan, dukungan keluarga menjadi faktor eksternal yang berpengaruh terhadap keberhasilan akademik anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran orang tua sebagai fasilitator dalam menyediakan sarana dan prasarana belajar bagi siswa kelas X IPS di SMA Mujahidin Pontianak. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan wawancara terhadap delapan orang siswa dan orang tua mereka, serta divalidasi menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran orang tua sebagai fasilitator tercermin dalam tiga aspek utama, yaitu penyediaan ruang belajar, media informasi belajar, dan peralatan belajar. Sebagian besar orang tua telah berupaya menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang kondusif, menyediakan media pembelajaran seperti Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS), gadget, serta akses internet, dan memenuhi kebutuhan alat tulis maupun buku pelajaran. Dukungan ini berkontribusi pada peningkatan fokus, motivasi, dan prestasi belajar siswa. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa peran orang tua sebagai fasilitator memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap keberhasilan belajar siswa di SMA Mujahidin Pontianak.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that influence smartphone purchasing decisions among Economics Education students of FKIP UNTAN. The research method applied is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The data source of this study consists of Economics Education students who have purchased smartphones within the last three years. The results show that personal and psychological factors are the most influential in students’ smartphone purchasing decisions. Personal factors affect purchasing decisions particularly in relation to economic conditions, lifestyle, and functional needs, which drive students to select smartphones based on specifications, price, and practical benefits. Psychological factors influence purchasing decisions through motivation, brand perception, and trust in the product. These two factors are the main considerations that most strongly affect smartphone purchasing decisions among the majority of informants, namely Economics Education students of FKIP UNTAN.
