The presence of children in household life challenges the parents, particularly in terms of how to grow and educate them. The first step in establishing communication between children is towards the use of language and expressions. The language used varies and will continue to change as the child's life and age progress. This paper aims to elaborate on the instructions of the Qur'an and Sunnah regarding the language style that parents should use when educating their children. This research used qualitative research  used library research towards secondary data in the form of interpretations of Quranic verses and Sunnah explanations of parental language styles and expressions in educating children found in Islamic teachings. The data were analyzed using a content analysis approach and added by theory of discourse analysis. The research shows that the Qur'an and Sunnah have guided parents to use polite, gentle, and loving language in educating their children regardless of their age or the good or bad of their behavior. The language discourses used by the parents to teach the children have already been stated into alquran and sunnah based on the ages of the children itself.

Abstract

This research aimed to prove the role of production, attention, retention, motivation, and innovation in students’ scientific writing skills at the Islamic Study College (PTAI) in Cirebon. This experimental research used a quasi-experimental design and a nonequivalent control group design. The experiment was conducted in two groups, experiment and control groups. The research samples included Lecturers from a public Islamic University. The experiment group samples were 38 students of the Philosophy of Religion Department. The control group consisted of 33 Islamic Guidance and Counseling Department students. The collection technique used was tested, comprised of a pretest and posttest. The two groups were given the same tests (pretest and posttest), and the results were compared. The instrument used in this research was a test. Validity determination for the scientific writing ability variable was not measured statistically but through construct validity. The reliability test resulted in a reliability coefficient from an assessor of 0.82, while all assessors' average rating reliability coefficient was 0.93. The normality test results on scientific writing ability data with the control class show Lo = 0.106 < Lt = 0.154. Meanwhile, the normality test on the experiment class’s scientific writing ability data results in a maximum Lo of 0.106 and Lt = 0.144. The balance test results show the score of tcount = 1.51 < ttable = 1.67. The data analysis with t independent test resulted in the score of tcount > ttable (10.45 > 1.65). This shows that the competence of production, attention, retention, motivation, and innovation can improve students’ scientific writing skills.

Abstract

In the Minangkabau language of Indonesia, the class of nouns can have multiple forms, which are used frequently in everyday conversation. The Minangkabau language contains examples of both of these types of word reduplication. According to our line of reasoning, reduplication occurs when the Minangkabau language, which is currently in a relatively complex linguistic state, becomes one of the internal states with power in speech when the speaker delivers it. In addition to the functions and meanings that emerge as a direct consequence of these replications, the phenomenon provides very convincing evidence. First, this article describes the various types of reduplication found within the class of nouns in the Minangkabau language. After that, the functions and meanings derived from each type of reduplication will be found. Specifically, the article focuses on the duplication of nouns and discusses the reduplication of adjectives and verbs. To accomplish this goal, the distributional method and various applications of the technique are the approaches that are taken as their respective approaches. As a result of the findings of the analysis, several distinct types of reduplication forms were found to exist within the Minangkabau language. The first category included nothing but nouns that were used repeatedly. The second point is that the affix is present within the noun itself. Third, the term "pseudo-repetitive nouns" is repeated within the noun. The meaning conveyed by the duplication of the nomina in the Minangkabau language includes the following: the sense of similarity; the sense of plural; the sense of intensity or emphasis; and the sense of similarity. Keywords: reduplication, nomina, Minangkabau language
