Abstract

Abstract

AbstractFish, one source of animal protein, is an exciting food for Indonesia's people. From a survey of food-ingredients demanded, milkfish are ranked fourth compared to other food-ingredients. Especially for milkfish, this fish is one of the six fish consumed by Indonesia's people besides tuna, bloating, anchovies, tilapia, and catfish, so the exactitude of the people when buying is a severe concern in choosing fresh milkfish. Detection of freshness by touching the fish's body may cause unexpected destruction, so detecting the fish's freshness should be conducted without touching using the eye image. In this research, we conducted an experimental implementation of freshness milkfish classification (vastly fresh and not fresh) based on the eyes using transfer learning from several CNNs, such as Xception, MobileNet V1, Resnet50, and VGG16. The experimental results of the classification of two milkfish freshness classes using 154 images show that VGG16 achieves the best performance compared to other architectures, where the classification accuracy achieves 0.97. With higher accuracy than other architectures, VGG16 is relatively more appropriate for classifying two classes of milkfish freshness.

Abstract

The North Natuna Sea has high strategic and economic importance because it is an important trade route and has abundant fishery resources. However, the region is prone to illegal fishing and border violations. In 2020-2022, there were 162 violations, while 2023 recorded 14 warship contacts. The Indonesian Navy has organized security operations with warships and maritime patrol aircraft. However, budget constraints are a major obstacle. Autonomous vehicles are a potential solution due to their lower cost, high efficiency, and advanced monitoring capabilities. This research aims to determine the priorities and criteria of Autonomous vehicles suitable for patrolling the North Natuna Sea. This research uses a quantitative method with Analytic Network Process (ANP) to analyze the relationship between system elements. The data was analyzed with a Multi Criteria Decision Making approach using Super Decision version 3.10 software to generate objective decisions. The main criteria included Performance, Operational, Maintenance, and Cost. The ANP model allows the evaluation of interrelated factors, determining the priority of Autonomous Vehicles in patrolling the North Natuna Sea. The results showed that the main criteria in the selection of Autonomous Vehicles for patrolling in the North Natuna Sea were Performance (0.441), followed by Cost (0.267), Operational (0.181), and Maintenance (0.111). At the sub-criteria level, Endurance has the highest priority (0.151), followed by Acquisition Cost (0.118) and Range (0.098). For vehicle alternatives, UAV ranked first (0.509), followed by AUV (0.281), UCAV (0.136), and USV (0.074). These results show that UAV is the best choice for maritime patrol based on the factors of performance, cost, and operational range.

Abstract

AI-based chatbots are increasingly used in various sectors to improve service efficiency, including in education. This research evaluates the performance of a chatbot on the New Student Admission (PMB) system with the integration of Recurrent Neural Network (RNN) and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) algorithms. In its implementation, chatbots play an important role in providing information and answering user questions automatically, but often have difficulty in understanding complex conversational contexts. The use of RNN and LSTM algorithms is expected to overcome the limitations of traditional chatbots in understanding conversational context and providing more relevant responses. The evaluation results show that the integration of RNN and LSTM is able to improve the quality of chatbot responses, both in terms of accuracy of 92.86% and relevance in complex conversation scenarios. The proposed chatbot proved to be effective in understanding user requests and providing faster answer responses compared to the conventional methods used. This implementation provides a more optimal solution in the PMB system, which is expected to be implemented at STMIK AKI Pati.
