Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of friendship that occurred in class VII SMP Negeri 2 Jambi City before and after being given treatment through traditional games, to see whether there were differences between the control group and the experimental group before and after being given treatment through traditional games in class VII SMP Negeri 2 City of Jambi. This type of research is quantitative with an experimental method using a quasi-experimental designnonequivalent control group design, using a data collection technique in the form of a questionnaire instrument. The determination of the questionnaire instrument uses validity and reliability tests. The data analysis test was carried out, namely the normality test and homogeneity test which was carried out with the help of the SPSS 24 program. The hypothesis test was carried out by the t-test with a sample of 20 people taken by the purposive sampling. The results of this study showed differences in student friendships with an average score of 19.2 for the experimental class, and 15.2 for the control class. This coincides with the value of the different test results (t), from the calculations obtained Tcountthat is as big as Ttablewith a result of 2,101. So when included in the hypothesis formula Tcount> Ttable, until HO rejected and Ha accepted. These results indicate that using traditional games can strengthen student friendships.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi adanya fenomena terkait dengan interaksi sosial remaja terdapat siswa tidak dapat bekerja sama dalam kegiatan sekolah dengan teman sebayanya dengan baik, sebagian siswa tidak diterima dalam kelompok belajarnya dan beberapa siswa suka menyendiri dan sebagian membentuk kelompok-kelompok kecil dalam pergaulannya di kelas. Kualitas hubungan dan komunikasi yang diberikan orang tua pada anak akan menentukan kualitas perkembangan sosial anak. Hubungan yang akrab dan bentuk komunikasi dua arah antara anak dan orang tua merupakan kunci dalam hal menentukan perkembangan sosial anak. Hal tersebut yang menjadi dasar tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu : (1) untuk mengungkapkan tingkat pola komunikasi di kelas VIII SMP N 7 Muaro Jambi. (2) untuk mengungkapkan tingkat interaksi sosial remaja di kelas VIII SMP N 7 Muaro Jambi. (3) untuk mengungkapkan adanya hubungan antara pola komunikasi orangtua dengan interaksi sosial remaja di SMP N 7 Muaro Jambi. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Populasi dan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII A-H di SMP N 7 Muaro Jambi dengan jumlah 148 siswa dengan teknik simple random sampling. Instrument yang digunakan adalah angket dengan opsi jawaban menggunakan skala likert. Untuk mengetahui ketepatan dan keabsahan instrumen ini dilakukan uji validitas dan uji reabilitas. Sedangkan teknik analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas, iji linearitas, serta analisis korelasi dengan bantuan SPSS. Hasil penelitian pada tingkat pola komunikasi orangtua yang diberikan dengan persentase sebesar 52,73% yang berada pada klasifikasi tingkat sedang dan pada tingkat interaksi sosial remaja yang dialami siswa sebesar 62,89% yang berada pada tingkat sedang, penelitian ini menggunakan analisis uji korelasi menunjukkan bahwa hubungan pola komunikasi orangtua dengan interaksi sosial remaja siswa di SMP N 7 Muaro Jambi sebesar 0,788 > r tabel = 0,159 yang artinya terdapat hubungan yang besar dan signifikan antara pola komunikasi orangtua dengan interaksi sosial remaja di SMP N 7 Muaro Jambi atau dengan kata lain pola komunikasi orangtua memiliki peran penting bagi interaksi sosial remaja.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal how much influence smartphone addiction has on academic procrastination in class XI students at SMA Negeri 8 Muaro Jambi. Techniques in collecting data using a questionnaire. The population in this study were 73 students of class XI at SMP Negeri 8 Muaro Jambi. This type of research is quantitative research with an ex post facto approach. The results of the study generally show that students' smartphone addiction at SMA Negeri 8 Muaro Jambi as a whole is at a high level with a percentage of 66.31%. The results of the study also showed that there was a significant effect of smartphone addiction on academic procrastination at SMA Negeri 8 Muaro Jambi, which was 0.459 or 45.9% in the moderately strong classification with a determination of 0.17 – 0.49.

Abstract

Recently, there has been a stigma that children who grow up from single parents are naughty, controlled and carry other negative meanings. Parenting style is very influential in the formation of children's character, one of which is in the formation of independent behavior in children. The purpose of this study was to determine the quality of behavioral independence in children and differences in the influence of single parenting styles on behavioral independence in children. Meanwhile, the intended behavior independence is changes in decision-making, changes in susceptibility to the influence, and changes in feeling of self-relience. This type of research is a comparative quantitative research with a total sample of 70 respondents obtained from sampling using purposive sampling technique. The data collection technique used in this study was a questionnaire and the data analysis technique used was the one way ANOVA test and the independent t-test. Based on the research, it was found that democratic parenting was more dominantly applied in child rearing with an average level of 73.98%, while the average level of behavior independence in adolescents was 63.64% and included in the medium category. Based on the one way ANOVA test conducted, the asomtatic asignificance value was 0.08 <0.05 so that it can be interpreted that there is a difference in independence in adolescents when viewed from single parent parenting in Telanaipura District. Furthermore, from the results of the independent t-test, it was found that children with democratic parenting styles had the highest level of independence in behavior when compared to other parenting styles.

Abstract

Stress and anxiety are becoming more common and prone to occur among first-year students who are undergoing the transition period from high school to university because new learning methods, when compared to undergraduate students will be more susceptible to depression due to the demands of completing a thesis. This research aims to difference in the level of stress, anxiety, depression of first-year and undergraduate students and differences in terms of gender at the Department of Psychology, Universitas Negeri Padang during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research is quantitative with a comparative study and obtained 592 respondents using stratified random sampling. Data collection of a Depression, Anxiety, Stress Scale (DASS-42). The data analysis techniques are carried out data analysis requirements with homogeneity and normality tests followed by hypothesis testing with t-tests. The result as for the depression variable there were significant differences with percentages in the level of first-year students and undergraduate students of 22.7% (mild) and 20.2% (extremely severe) respectively. The high prevalence in the first-year and undergraduate students of college life is alarming. It illustrates the need for primary and secondary prevention measures, with the development of adequate and appropriate support services for this group.

Abstract

Permasalahan utama didalam pembelajaran online pada masa pandemi ini adalah kurang aktifnya siswa belajar dari pada saat pembelajaran online. Siswa lebih banyak menghabiskan waktunya untuk bermain game online dan berkumpul bareng –bareng teman disuatu tempat. hal ini diduga disebabkan oleh kurang aktifnya orang tua siswa dirumah pada saat pembelajaran online berlangsung. Penelitian ini diambil RT.07 Kel. Rawasari kenali Besar Kec. Alam Barajo Kota Jambi. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam skripsi ini adalah deskriptif dan jenis penelitiannya adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus Responden penelitian ini diambil adalah 2 orang siswa dan 2 orang tua sehingga total adalah 4 orang responden. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa bahwa Orang tua siswa di RT 07 Kelurahan Kenali Besar Kecamatan Alam Barajo Kota Jambi kurang menjalankan perannya didalam pendampingan siswa selama pembelajaran online berlangsung. Kurang berperannya orang tua tersebut disebabkan oleh beberapa kendala yaitu faktor kurangnya pengetahuan orang tua dan faktor ekonomi.

Abstract

Abstract Study discipline is very important to apply in everyday life, but it is also often a problem for students at school. Various violations regarding study discipline such as not being disciplined in time and not obeying school rules very often occur among school students. Based on direct observation at SMP Negeri 11 Muaro Jambi, the results show that the level of discipline in class VIII students shows low results. That is, there is a lot of indiscipline committed by class VIII students. Using a modification of the Token Economy Technique in group counseling services can increase the level of student discipline. The purpose of this research is to improve student learning discipline at school through group counseling services with a modification of the Token Economy Technique at SMP Negeri 11 Muaro Jambi. The sampling criterion was purposive sampling with a total of 10 class VIII students. This research was conducted in 3 cycles with each cycle consisting of 2 actions. This study consists of four competencies for each cycle, namely planning, implementing, evaluating, and reflecting. The results showed that there was an increase in student discipline behavior in each cycle. In cycle I the researchers conducted group counseling where the average percentage gain was 23% which was in the "low" category. In cycle II the researcher held group counseling which consisted of two meetings. The results in cycle II showed a percentage of 53% which was categorized as "moderate". In cycle III the researchers conducted group counseling where a percentage was obtained with an average of 82% which was categorized as being in the "High" category.
