Abstract

Critical thinking is widely recognized as an essential competency in mathematics education, yet assessments often fail to capture its multidimensional nature. This study applied a Bayesian Cognitive Diagnostic Modeling (G-DINA) approach to identify the mastery profiles of tenth-grade students in Indonesia across four attributes: interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and inference. Data from 60 students revealed that most learners demonstrated partial rather than full mastery, with consistent challenges in evaluative reasoning and inference. These diagnostic profiles provide actionable insights for teachers, enabling more targeted instructional strategies that go beyond total test scores. The findings highlight the potential of Bayesian CDMs to enhance classroom assessment by offering fine-grained evidence of students’ reasoning patterns. This study contributes novelty by being among the first to implement Bayesian cognitive diagnosis in mathematics education within the Indonesian context, bridging methodological innovation with practical implications for teaching and assessment.

This study aims to: (1) describe the development steps of an e-jobsheet; (2) evaluate its feasibility; and (3) examine student responses in the Basic Pattern Elements course at SMK N 2 Sewon. A research-and-development (R&D) approach adopting the Puslitjaknov model was employed across five stages: needs analysis, initial product development, expert validation and revision, small-scale field testing and revision, and limited field testing leading to a final product. Participants were 33 tenth-grade fashion students. Data were collected via questionnaires administered to a material expert, a media expert, and students, and analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results indicate that the e-jobsheet product was successfully developed; feasibility ratings were very high from the material expert (100%) and the media expert (96.67%); student responses were classified as very good in the small-scale test (81.59%) and in the limited test (83.67%). These findings suggest the e-jobsheet is suitable to support instruction in women’s pants pattern making. Practically, teachers are encouraged to pair the e-jobsheet with in-class demonstrations and structured feedback. Further studies with more diverse samples and objective learning-outcome measures are recommended to assess comparative effectiveness.

Abstract

A standardized instrument for assessing independence in early learners: A ten-step Mardapi-based development   Abstract: This study aimed to: (1) identify instruments currently used by teachers to assess independence attitudes in early childhood education (ECE) within the Dukun District, (2) develop a feasible and standardized assessment instrument, and (3) map independence levels among students at TK Pertiwi Sengi 2. A research and development approach was employed using a modified ten-step Mardapi procedure: hypothetical model design, expert validation, iterative revisions, readability testing, small-scale and broader tryouts, finalization, and implementation. Teacher interviews and classroom observations examined existing assessment practices; quantitative data were collected during instrument tryouts with TK Pertiwi Sengi 2 students (Academic Year 2020/2021). Analyses comprised exploratory factor analysis (EFA), Cronbach’s alpha reliability, and descriptive statistics. Results show that teachers had not been using a standardized instrument. The finalized tool consists of 4 indicators and 15 items, demonstrating adequate sampling adequacy (KMO = 0.752) and acceptable internal consistency (alpha = 0.749). Initial profiling indicates that students’ independence levels fall in the high category (≈ 67.57%). These findings suggest that the Mardapi-based development model yields a practical, standardized instrument that teachers can use to monitor independence in ECE settings and to inform instructional improvements and parental engagement.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of moral disengagement and locus of control on the aggressive behaviour of repeat offenders at the Muara Enim Class IIB Correctional Institution. The background of this study is the high incidence of aggression within correctional institutions, which is thought to be influenced by certain psychological factors, particularly how individuals view moral values and their perception of self-control. The research approach used is quantitative, using a survey method. The population in this study consists of all repeat offenders at the Muara Enim Class IIB Correctional Institution, and the sample was selected using purposive sampling. The data collection instrument is a questionnaire measuring three variables: moral disengagement, locus of control, and aggressive behaviour, which have been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis techniques used multiple linear regression with the assistance of the SPSS program. The results of the study indicate that, partially, moral disengagement has a significant positive influence on the aggressive behaviour of prisoners, as does locus of control. Simultaneously, both variables together also show a significant influence on aggression. This study yielded an R value of 0.825 and an R Square of 0.680, with a significance level of p = 0.000 (<0.05) and the multiple regression equation Y = 78.379 + 0.473 X1 + -0.706 X2. These findings indicate that prisoners who tend to disengage from moral responsibility and have an external locus of control are more likely to exhibit aggressive behaviour during their prison term. The higher the level of Moral Disengagement, the more aggressive the prisoners' behaviour becomes, and conversely, the lower the level of Moral Disengagement, the less aggressive the prisoners' behaviour becomes. The higher the level of locus of control, the more aggressive the prisoners' behaviour will be, and conversely, the lower the level of locus of control, the less aggressive the prisoners' behaviour will be.

Abstract

This study aims to compare the results of KMO MSA analysis, Eigen Value, reliability, and Standard Error Measurement (SEm) between raw scores (original) and standardized scores (rescaling) through the summated rating scaling method on critical reasoning attitudes of vocational students in Yogyakarta City. This study used a quantitative descriptive approach involving 204 private vocational students as subjects. The instrument used to measure critical reasoning attitudes has gone through thorough validity and reliability testing before the research was carried out. The analysis process was carried out by calculating the KMO MSA, Eigen Value, reliability, and SEm values on both raw and standardized scores. The results of the two types of scores were then compared to identify any differences. Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that the raw score had a KMO MSA of 0.87, reliability of 0.823, and SEm of 0.337. After rescaling, the KMO MSA value decreased slightly to 0.86, the reliability also decreased slightly to 0.821, while the SEm increased to 0.406. Eigenvalue analysis showed that both the raw and standardized scores yielded seven factors with Eigenvalues greater than 1. The differences found between these two types of scores, namely 0.01 for KMO MSA, 0.002 for reliability, and -0.069 for SEm, indicate small but significant changes, especially in terms of the increase in SEm after rescaling, which impacts the level of measurement accuracy.

Abstract

Futsal is a sport with fast and dynamic intensity that requires teamwork. Therefore, it requires direct and fast communication to understand movement through patterns and interpersonal communication that is useful for minimizing errors. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach using data analysis in the form of observation, interviews and documentation. The purpose is to discuss the importance of interpersonal communication patterns between coaches and captains of the Harapan FC futsal team. When the interaction takes place, it produces responses and feedback, which is included in the communication pattern to achieve the goal of effective interperonal communication in the Harapan FC futsal team. In the communication pattern, there are various networks that are formed as a flow of communication between individuals, in addition to the effectiveness of interpersonal communication, there are Respect, Empathy, Audible, Clarity and Humble. The result of the research is that there is a concept of communication patterns and interpersonal communication in the training sessions. When the coach gives a message about the technique, the player follows the technique in the form of a wheel communication pattern, a Y communication pattern and a star communication pattern. The communication pattern is also to find out the attitude of Respect, directing the captain to help the player in improving Empathy. Then there is an evaluation session after the match, on this occasion Audible and Clarity can be found in the use of techniques that are carried out and then explained in the evaluation. So that the captain and players are able to know the meaning of techniques in training, if they are able to master the technique, the captain must remain humble and be able to introspect himself or other players to be able to improve the quality and skills of the players.
