Abstract

The objective of this study was to develop descriptive text writing material by using clustering technique to fulfill the needs of tenth grade students at SMA Gajah Mada Medan. This research was conducted using the Research and Development (R&D) Method. The Research and Development process were divided into six stages: gathering information and data, analyzing data, designing material, expert validation, revising material, and finally, the final product. To discover what the students needed, data were gathered by handing out questionnaires to 38 tenth grade students and interviewing the English teacher at SMA Gajah Mada Medan. The study's findings led to the creation of INTRODUCTION descriptive text writing materials in PDF format that focus on the description of a location, particularly tourist attractions. The developed materials may be used as engaging learning tools for students. The product was validated by two experts, and the average score of their validations was 78% for content, 80% for presentation, 75% for language, and 85% for layout. The overall average was 79.5%, which was considered good and recommended for use in English classes, particularly for writing descriptive language at the senior high school level.

Abstract

Headline is intended to highlight the main point or category of the news article. They commonly attract readers using strong and emotive words and attention-grabbing vocabulary. This situation made journalists often manipulate the headline news to ensure its appeal and allure to the reader using some linguistic device. This research discussed the rhetoric on market issues in headline news of CNBC Indonesia and to examine the types of rhetoric used on market issues. Descriptive qualitative research is applied in this research. The data sources were headline news on market issues and taken from the website of CNBC Indonesia. There were 300 selected headlines in total around November 2022 – February 2023. In addition, documentation was employed in collecting the data. The data were analyzed by using Van Dijk’s Critical Discourse Analysis framework (2015). The findings showed that there are 25 types of rhetoric. It was identified that rhetoric was not limited to alliteration, rhyme, parallelism, hyperbole, understatement, metaphor, and metonymy (Van Dijk, 1991). Other rhetorical devices like personification and onomatopoeia were discovered in the headline. It was also found a headline incorporating two or more rhetoric, for instance, the combination of hyperbole and rhyme, which called as compound rhetoric.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengdeskripsikan penggunaan bahasa Indonesia pada guru SMA Negeri 8 Bengkulu Selatan secara lisan pada saat proses belajar mengajar sesuai dengan fakta-fakta yang ditemukan di lapangan. Data pada penelitian ini dikumpulkan  dengan teknik pengamatan dan rekaman. Data yang telah diperoleh dianalisis dengan langkah-langkah: (1) transkripsi data, (2) kodifikasi data, (3) klasifikasi data, (4) interpretasi data, (5) menarik keSimpulan. Temuan penelitian data menunjukkan bahwa bahasa yang digunakan guru SMA Negeri 8 Bengkulu Selatan adalah bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa Serawai. Bahasa yang digunakan ini mengandung fungsi personal atau pribadi, fungsi direktif, dan fungsi referensial. Tindak tutur yang diTemuankan meliputi tindak tutur representatif, tindak tutur direktif, tindak tutur ekspresif, dan tindak tutur interogatif.This research purpose  was to describe the state of the usage of Indonesian  at SMAN 8 South Bengkulu teacher verbally during the learning process in accordance with  facts found  in the field. Data collection in this research was done by observation and recording technique. Data which have been obtained were  analysed with the steps:  1) data collecting, (2) transcription of data, (3) codification of data, (4) classification of data, (5)  interpretation of data, (6) making concluding. The results of research  show that the use of Ianguage teacher at SMAN 8  Bengkulu Selatan is Indonesian languages anda Serawai languages.  This languages included personal function, directive function, and reference function. speech  act which yielded included a  representative speech act, directive speech act, expressive speech act, and interogative speech act.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of price on consumer buying interest with free shipping as an intervening variable in the Shopee application. This type of research is quantitative. The location of this research is at the economics faculty of the University of West Sulawesi. The population in this study were consumers who made purchases on the Shopee application at the Faculty of Economics, West Sulawesi University, so in determining the sample for this study the Hair formula was used. The number of respondents obtained was 60. Data analysis was carried out using the SmartPLS 3.2.9 statistical method. The results of this research show that price has a significant effect on consumer buying interest, Price has a significant effect on free shipping, Free shipping has a significant effect on consumer buying interest and Price does not have a significant effect on consumer buying interest through free shipping.

Abstract

Objective: The goals and benefits of family planning are to slow population growth , regulate spacing and delay pregnancy , reduce infant mortality , empower communities and improve education , and reduce teenage pregnancies ( young ages ). Postpartum mothers in their 42 days are very important to use family planning , but there are still many who still feel afraid , indecisive and unsure about doing family planning . especially postpartum family planning , especially for IUD acceptor users . Meanwhile , for injections , respondents also feel afraid of drastic weight gain . For pills , you must always remember every day . This study aimed to determine the relationship between the characteristics of postpartum mothers and the choice of their contraceptive methodsMethods: This research was an observational analytic study using cross sectional approach . The sampling technique used was a saturated sample with a whole population of 60 postpartum women in their 42 days as respondentsResults: The results of the study revealed that there was no relationship between the characteristics of the postpartum mothers and the choice of postpartum contraceptive methods. The statistical test used was the chi - square test . Based on the results of the analytical test using the Chi - square test , it was known that p - 0.179 was greater than p - value < 0.05 so that it could be concluded that there was no relationship between the characteristics of the postpartum mother's work and the choice of their contraceptive methodsConclusion: There was no relationship between the characteristics of the postpartum mother's work and the choice of their contraceptive methods . Midwives need to improve education or motivation for postpartum mothers regarding the importance of using family planning

Abstract

Some tourism village management by Pokdarwis has shortcomings in institutional function and effectiveness. These conditions directly affect the management and development of tourist villages. This community service activity aims to strengthen the institutional functions of Pokdarwis and other community institutions through the implementation of the 5.0 tourism awareness campaign launched by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy. The community service program focuses on: (1) mentoring Pokdarwis; (2) mentoring PKK groups; (3) mentoring arts and cultural actors; and (4) mentoring youth organizations. Furthermore, this activity seeks to increase capacity, understanding and awareness among community groups in an effort to create sustainable tourism management. Evaluation through postest was carried out during the mentoring activities and after the mentoring activities as a form of evaluation. The evaluation results showed that 51 participants (85%) understood the importance of tourism awareness campaigns for institutional strengthening in creating sustainable tourism. The results of this community service are able to have a positive impact on sustainable tourism management. In addition, the results of this activity were able to equalize the positive perceptions of the community as stated in the memorandum of understanding.

Abstract

Innovative and interesting approach to learning is a learning innovation in the delivery of material to students. One method that is being developed is the use of technology-based educational media packaged in the form of educational games or so-called edugames. The purpose of this study is to describe and analyse the implementation of edugame learning media with PBL method in improving students' scientific literacy and learning outcomes. This study uses pre-experimental with the research design used is a group pretest-posttest design. This study was conducted in Cabak Primary School, Jiken District, Blora Regency, with the subject of research consisting of students of class V. The research sample was selected by purposive sampling, namely class V consisting of 60 students, divided into two classes, namely class A and class B, each consisting of 30 students. Data analysis was done using t-test and measuring instruments to measure the students' ability on the Solar System material using the Problem Based Learning method. The results of this study showed a significant improvement in students' grades, which reflected not only an improvement in academic results but also a positive change in the liveliness aspect of learning. Conclusion The use of active and innovative learning methods can improve students' learning outcomes and their engagement in the classroom. Further research is needed to extend the understanding of the influence of learning methods on student learning outcomes with a wider scope.

Abstract

The principal plays a crucial role in the successful attainment of school objectives. The role of principal leadership is crucial in enhancing school performance and promoting progress. The aim of the research is to evaluate the performance of school principals in improving the quality of graduates of vocational in high school. The research method uses a goal-oriented evaluation type of evaluation model. The research subjects were school principals, teachers, administrative staff, and students. Collecting data using interview techniques, observation and documentation studies. the data was analyzed quantitatively. Research results a. The performance of school principals has carried out innovations by managing change by creating innovations in achieving targets and student quality in the very good category. b) The performance of school principals in cultivating a creative, competitive work culture and a comfortable, healthy work climate is in the good category, c) The performance of school principals in utilizing information technology in learning and developing library systems that support the quality of learning is in the very good category. Suggestions to school principals can facilitate and support teacher creativity in implementing innovative learning models

Abstract

Abstrak.  Desa Kassi di Kabupaten Jeneponto memiliki potensi pariwisata yang besar, seperti agrowisata kopi, air terjun, dan seni budaya lokal. Namun, pengelolaan pariwisata di desa ini masih menghadapi berbagai tantangan, termasuk keterbatasan dalam pemanfaatan teknologi digital dan rendahnya kesadaran terhadap pariwisata berkelanjutan. Program pemberdayaan Kelompok Sadar Wisata (Pokdarwis) Gallarang Kassi dirancang untuk meningkatkan kapasitas pengelolaan wisata melalui pelatihan digital dan penerapan prinsip pariwisata berkelanjutan. Pelatihan ini mencakup penggunaan media sosial untuk promosi, pengelolaan situs web, pembuatan paket wisata berbasis digital, serta penguatan strategi pemasaran konten. Selain itu, program ini juga menekankan pentingnya pelestarian lingkungan dan budaya lokal melalui langkah-langkah seperti pengelolaan limbah, pemasangan papan edukasi di lokasi wisata, dan pengaktifan kembali sanggar seni sebagai daya tarik wisata budaya. Program ini juga berhasil meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap pentingnya menjaga keseimbangan antara pengembangan pariwisata dan pelestarian lingkungan. Wisatawan merasakan pengalaman yang lebih autentik dan bertanggung jawab, sementara masyarakat lokal mendapatkan manfaat ekonomi yang signifikan. Dengan menggabungkan teknologi digital dan pendekatan berkelanjutan, Desa Kassi kini memiliki fondasi kuat untuk berkembang menjadi destinasi wisata unggulan yang modern, kompetitif, dan tetap menjaga kearifan lokal serta kelestarian lingkungan.Kata Kunci: Pokdarwis, Pariwisata Digital, Pariwisata Berkelanjutan, Desa Kassi, Pengelolaan Wisata.

Abstract

Abstrak konsumen terhadap pembelian minuman sereal energen di Makassar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode slovin dengan responden sebanyak 88 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner online melalui Google Form diolah dengan SPSS 21. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah uji validitas dan uji realibilitas, , uji regresi linaer berganda, uji hipotesis melalui uji t dan uji F. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, baik secara parsial maupun secara simultan  promosi penjulan dan label halal berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap konsumen pada keputusan pembelian produk minuman sereal Energen di Makassar. Kata Kunci: Promosi Penjualan, Label Halal, Keputusan Pembelian
