Abstract

Base on preliminary observations taken at VIIIC class of SMPN 10 Malang during 6th to October 31, 2014, were found several facts. Most of students test result have not reached minimum standard result that is 75 (only 14.17% of students who reach minimum standard result, and average of test results obtained by the students is 50), students are less skilled to do practical work, only certain students are active and enthusiastic in learning activities, some of these phenomenon are proof that motivation and student learning outcomes need to be improved. Solution that can be applied is to apply inquiry learning model. The purpose of this study is to obtain a clear explanation about the improvement of motivation and student learning outcomes at VIIIC class of SMPN 10 Malang through the implementation of inquiry learning model. This classroom action research was conducted at the time of learning by chapter of excretion system. Results of the research showed that, Students' motivation have increased from 72% in the first cycle to 82% in the second cycle. Cognitive learning outcomes of students have increased from 79.41% in the first cycle to 88.24% in the second cycle. Psychomotor learning outcomes of students have increased from 78% in the first cycle to 91% in the second cycle. Affective of learning outcomes of students have increased from 84% in the first cycle to 90% in the second cycle. Base on the data of these research, it can be concluded that the implementation of inquiry learning model can improve students motivation and learning outcomes at VIIIC class of SMPN 10 Malang.

Abstract

The research aims to know the result of qualitative and quantitative analysis of items, and improvement and conformity of the items with the indicators of Biology final test grade X and XI at SMAN 1 Kampak on 2016/2017 periode. The research method is descriptive with qualitative-quantitative approach. The results showed contents validity of the final test items in X and XI grade is 87,5% and 85,83%. Percentage of construct validity of the final test items in X and XI grade is 95,71% and 84,29%. Percentage of language validity of the final test items in X and XI grade is 89,16% and 91,67%. The percentage of difficult item in X grade is greater than the medium and easy item. The percentage of medium items in XI grade is greater than the difficult and easy items, but it does not reach 50%, so the proportion of final test in X and XI grade are not appropriate. The discriminating power of item in X and XI grade with very bad and bad criteria are more than or equal to 50%. The effectiveness of item distractor in X grade with very good and good criteria are 70%, while in XI grade are 20%. The reliability of final test in X grade is enough criteria, while in the XI grade is low criteria.

Abstract

Result of observations and teacher interviews class of natural sciences VIII-H Junior High School 20 Malang, information obtained student participation in learning activities is low. Evident from; (1) The classical completeness third aspect of student participation that aspect of the task, the business discussion, and the liveliness of the opinion reached only 12.5% of 32 students and understanding the concept of students is low as evidenced by the results of tests on classical completeness system material only amounted to 37.5%. (2) understanding the concept of students is low as evidenced by the results of tests on classical completeness system material only amounted to 37.5%. The solution can be applied is the application of PBL learning model TPS combined. This research was conducted in classes VIII-H Junior High School 20 Malang, the second semester 2015/2016. Data taken in this study is enforceability of TPS combined PBL learning, student participation, and students' understanding of the concept. The results showed that the learning model of TPS combined PBL can improve students' participation and understanding of the concept.

Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi (Higher order thinking skills /HOTS) penting bagi siswa untuk memenuhi kompetensi abad ke-21. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan, menguji validitas, kepraktisan,  reliabilitas, dan keefektifan instrumen tes kognitif tipe HOTS, RPP, dan LKS materi struktur jaringan dan fungsi organ pada tumbuhan. Produk dikembangkan dengan model ADDIE. Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini yaitu produk sangat valid, sangat praktis, reliabel, dan efektif dalam mengukur dan melatih HOTS. Saran dari penelitian ini yaitu produk perlu dikembangkan pada materi lain, memperbanyak jumlah subjek uji coba, ditambahkan dimensi proses, dan ditambahkan gambar tangan.

Abstract

Pembelajaran abad 21 diharapkan menghasilkan generasi yang produktif, kreatif, inovatif, dan mandiri. Permasalahan yang ditemukan di kelompok sasaran adalah guru mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami KD tentang materi Plantae, mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran materi Plantae, serta menentukan metode dan media pembelajaran. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman materi, mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran, serta menentukan metode dan media pembelajaran materi Plantae. Metode yang diterapkan dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah pelatihan dan workshop. Luaran dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah perangkat pembelajaran materi Plantae meliputi RPP, LKS, instrumen penilaian, bahan ajar, kunci identifikasi, dan foto herbarium basah dan kering. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa hasil pelatihan dan workshop yang telah diujicobakan oleh guru kepada siswa dapat meningkatkan keaktifan siswa.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian dan Pengembangan dilakukan untuk menghasilkan produk berupa Media Cell Thru Augmented Reality yang multirepresentatif pada matakuliah Biologi Sel yang valid dan praktis. Model ADDIE digunakan dalam pengembangan produk yang disusun. Tahap Analisis, Desain, Pengembangan dan Evaluasi dilakukan dengan lengkap, namun tahap Penerapan belum dilaksanakan. Data kuantitatif yaitu data hasil uji validitas dan kepraktisan dianalisis secara deskriptif. Data kualitatif yaitu data saran dari validator, praktikan, dan responden dianalisis secara kualitatif, dan dievaluasi sebagai dasar revisi produk. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa produk telah valid, dengan rata-rata dari validator ahli materi, ahli perangkat dan ahli media berturut-turut adalah 100%, 96.75%, 97.33%, serta produk telah diperbaiki sesuai saran. Produk juga dinyatakan telah praktis dengan rata-rata 96.82%. Hasil produk yang dikembangkan dapat dilanjutkan pada tahap berikutnya.Abstract. Research and Development was carried out to produce a product in the form of Cell Thru Augmented Reality Media which is multi-representative in Cell Biology courses that are valid and practical. The ADDIE model was used in the development of the products that were prepared. Analysis, Design, Development and Evaluation stages are carried out completely, but the Implementation stage has not been carried out. Quantitative data, that is, data from validity and practicality tests, were analyzed descriptively. The suggestions from validators, practitioners, and respondents, was analyzed qualitatively, and evaluated as a basis for product revision based on qualitative data. The results showed that the product was valid, with an average of 100%, 96.75%, 97.33% from material expert validators, device experts and media experts respectively, and the product had been improved according to suggestions. The product was also declared practical with an average of 96.82%. The results of the developed product can be continued at the next stage.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian bertujuan untuk meninjau pengaruh model Socio-Biological Case Based Learning terhadap keterampilan pemecahan masalah siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain eksperimen semu (quasi-experimental design) dengan bentuk non-equivalent control group design. Penelitian dilakukan di SMA Islam Al Maarif Singosari materi sistem sirkulasi manusia kelas XI IPA yang terbagi menjadi: 1) Kelompok Kontrol Negatif dengan diterapkan pembelajaran konvensional; 2) Kelompok Kontrol Positif dengan diterapkan model Soc-Bio CBL; dan 3) Kelompok Eksperimen dengan model Soc-Bio CBL berbasis Literasi Sains. Data keterampilan pemecahan masalah siswa dikumpulkan melalui pretest dan posttest serta diuji menggunakan Uji ANCOVA. Berdasarkan Uji ANCOVA, nilai p dari model menunjukkan skor sebesar 0,00 atau p < 0,05, sehingga model berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan pemecahan masalah siswa, dengan kategori efek “besar” yang ditunjukkan oleh partial eta squared (2) sebesar 0,580, yang menunjukkan adanya perbedaan keterampilan pemecahan masalah antara ketiga kelompok penelitian yakni Kelompok Kontrol Negatif mengalami penurunan skor sebesar 0,88%, sedangkan Kelompok Kontrol Negatif mengalami peningkatan sebesar 42,36%, dan Kelompok Eksperimen mengalami peningkatan sebesar 79,20%. Kesimpulan dari penelitian bahwa model Soc-Bio CBL dan model Soc-Bio CBL berbasis Literasi Sains memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap keterampilan pemecahan masalah siswa. Abstract. The research aims to examine the effect of the Socio-Biological Case Based Learning model on students' problem solving skills. This study used a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group design. The research was conducted at Al Maarif Singosari Islamic High School on the subject of the human circulation system for 11th Grade Science Class which was divided into: 1) Negative Control Group with conventional learning applied; 2) Positive Control Group with the Soc-Bio CBL model applied; and 3) Experimental Group with the Soc-Bio CBL model based on Scientific Literacy.
