Abstract

Bioherbicides that utilize the allelopathic properties of sorghum plants that experience drought stress are fundamental to sustainable agriculture. This study aimed to look at the efficacy characteristics and flavonoid levels of Suri 4 extracts that have experienced various levels of drought stress. Extract materials were prepared from May to July 2024 at Bengkulu University Greenhouse, Kandang Limun, Bengkulu City, and bioassay tests were conducted in August 2024. Flavonoid analysis was performed at the Integrated Research and Testing Laboratory (LPPT) of Gadjah Mada University in August 2024. This research used a completely randomized design with one factor. One sorghum variety, Suri 4, was planted with water stress treatment through watering patterns every day, every 2 days, every 3 days, every 4 days, and every 5. The bioassay experimental unit was a petri dish, and the experiment was repeated four times. Each petri dish was given 10 mL of water extract, and 25 mung bean seeds were planted and incubated for three days. The results showed that the highest flavonoid levels were achieved by the 5-day watering pattern (3841.65 µg/g), and the lowest flavonoid levels were completed by the daily watering pattern (2948.07 µg/g). The highest germination inhibition was due to the sorghum water extract from the 4-day and 5-day watering patterns and was the best bioherbicide pioneer

Abstract

Abstract

The existence of the marine and fisheries sector and the management of coastal areas and small islands is one of the national development agendas. But in fact, the development of the maritime and fisheries sector has not yet been used optimally, so as to make the maritime and fisheries sector as the main stream of national development an integrated and ecosystem-based development policy is needed. is to build fisheries infrastructure in the form of fishing ports for fishing communities in the coastal areas of East Java, one of which is the Popoh fishing port in Tulungagung. The construction of the port was carried out by the Regional Government of East Java Province through the Department of Marine and Fisheries based on the East Java Provincial Budget. It is hoped that with the existence of the Popoh Fisheries Port, the coastal communities of Popoh and its surrounding areas, most of whose residents work as fishermen, can receive the benefits of the port. With the activity of developing the Popoh Fisheries Port automatically these conditions trigger a perception from the surrounding fishing community. The results showed that there were positive and negative perceptions related to the revitalization of the popoh fishing port in Tulungagung. The existence of a positive or good perception in the aspects of cognition, affection, and konasi can lead to good or positive social action on the Popoh fishing community towards the revitalization of the Popoh Fishing Port.

Abstract

Soybean is one of the nutritious food commodities and a source of vegetable protein whose production is still below Indonesia's domestic needs. Research needs to be done to increase soybean productivity on marginal land. This study aims to measure the growth and yield of soybeans against the application of ameliorant and organic fertilizer made from palm oil waste. The study was conducted in Gunung Alam Village from February to April 2020. The study used a randomized block design which was arranged in a factorial manner and consisted of two factors with three replications. The first factor was ameliorant, namely 0 ton.ha-1, 1 ton.ha-1, 2 ton.ha-1, and 3 ton.ha-1. The second factor is LPMKS (Palm Oil Mill Fertilizer) fertilizer, namely 0 ton.ha-1, 2 ton.ha-1, 4 ton.ha-1, and 6 ton.ha-1. The results showed that the interaction between amelioran and organic fertilizer had a significant effect on the number of leaves 49 days after planting, namely the dose of ameliorant was 2 tons.ha-1 with LPMKS fertilizer 2 tons.ha-1, which was 29.73 strands. The ameliorant treatment had an effect on the variable weight of pods per plant, and the LPMKS treatment had a significant effect on the variable age of harvest at a dose of 6 ton.ha-1, the number of pods per plant at a dose of 6 ton.ha-1, and the number of pithy pods at a dose of 6 ton.ha. -1.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of Article 33 of Law No. 3 of 2024 concerning village governance, analyzing its leadership eligibility criteria through the lens of Imam al-Mawardi’s political thought. The research aims to evaluate whether the existing legal framework adequately reflects the moral and intellectual standards emphasized in Islamic governance. Employing a qualitative approach with a normative juridical method, the study conducts a comparative analysis between the administrative and legal requirements for village head candidates and the leadership principles outlined by al-Mawardi. The findings reveal that while the law ensures compliance with legal and technical criteria, it lacks sufficient emphasis on moral integrity (‘adalah) and intellectual competence—two key qualities stressed by al-Mawardi. This research highlights the gap between modern legal frameworks and classical Islamic governance models, suggesting the need for a more comprehensive leadership selection process that integrates ethical and intellectual dimensions. The originality of this study lies in its critical assessment of contemporary village leadership regulations using classical Islamic political thought, offering a unique perspective on governance. The implications of these findings are significant for policymakers and scholars, as they emphasize the necessity of refining leadership criteria to align with both traditional Islamic values and modern governance needs.

Abstract

This article discusses the problems surrounding mediation by Religious Court judges in Lampung Province. Mediation can help simplify a dispute so that it can be resolved more cheaply and quickly. Interestingly, mediation allows litigants to find their solutions or settlements, expecting each party to be satisfied and fairly treated. However, this is not the case in real life. Mediation implementation falls short for a variety of reasons. The results of this study show that the mediation carried out by judges at the Religious Court of Lampung has several problems. Judges are unable to provide optimal mediation in divorce cases because mediation is frequently carried out in their respective homes by religious or traditional leaders. As a result, when mediation takes place in court, the mediation is less than optimal, and the divorce process is thought to be complicated or prolonged. Because not all judges hold mediator certificates, their ability to conduct mediation remains limited. When acting as mediators, some judges appear to be trial judges instead of judges who have received mediator training. Policies such as 'one-day minutes, one-day publish' indirectly impact the performance of judge mediators, despite some Religious Courts setting aside special time for mediation.

Abstract

[GROWTH AND YIELDS OF SORGHUM VARIETIES TREATED WITH VARIOUS DOSES OF NPK FERTILIZER IN COASTAL LAND]. Sorghum has a potential to be developed in marginal land in coastal area. Drought stress and low availability of utrients in the coastal area are the main problems in growing sorghum.  Introducing the drought tolerance variety is one solution to overcome the drought stress in coastal land in order to improve sorghum yields. In addition, the treatment of NPK fertilizer is needed to fulfill the nutrients requirements for growth and yields. This research aims to determine the best sorghum variety and an appropriate dose of NPK fertilizer for the growing sorghum in coastal land. Field experiment was conducted at the coastal area in Bengkulu City from August until November 2021. The experiment was arranged in Randomized Completely Blok Design with two factors. That were sorghum varieties (Numbu, Super 2 and Kawali) and NPK fertilizer doses (150 kg/ha, 300 kg/ha and 450 kg/ha). The results showed that the interaction between sorghum variety and NPK fertilizer dose were not significant on the growth and sorghum yields. Numbu varieties produced the highest panicle weight per plant of 69.42 gram. The research concluded that Numbu variety showed the best growth and yields compare two other varieties. The  maximum growth and yield  of sorghum in coastal land were observed at NPK 450 kg/ha dose.
