Abstract

This research focuses on terminology in the folk game "Timang" in the Malay community in Tangaran District, Sambas Regency. Researchers used descriptive methods, qualitative research forms, and used an ethnolinguistic approach that looked at the relationship between language and cultural elements in society. The analysis carried out by researchers on the data collected includes the tools and materials, performers, and processions. Analysis of the form of terms in this study are monomorphemic, polymorphemic, and phrases. In addition, this study also describes the meaning of the term in the game "timang" lexically and culturally. The terms in this research are 38 terms consisting of 14 terms of tools and materials, 7 terms of actors, and 17 terms of procession. as research data obtained from interviews and recording processes conducted by researchers. The results of the analysis of the entire data are in the form of 17 terms in the form of basic words or monomorphemes, 16 terms in the form of polymorphemes, and 5 terms in the form of phrases. These terms as a whole have lexical meanings and as many as 16 terms contain cultural meanings.

Abstract

This research aims to find out objectively about the Structure and Function of Malay Folklore of Simpang Hilir District of North Kayong Regency. This research uses a structural approach. The research method used is descriptive with qualitative research forms. The source of this research data is data that comes from speakers. While the data in this study is the folklore "Meriam Bujang Koreng, Riye Rupe, Ujang Mali Budiman". Implementation of research results on Indonesian learning in the form of quotations in the form of words, phrases, clauses, or sentences. The results of research into folklore are as follows. First, the character and characterization in folklore. Both events take place in folklore. The three lines in folklore. The four mandates contained in folklore. The fifth describes the function of folklore for people's lives. In addition, the results of this study can also be used as learning materials for even-sized X classes in the 2013 curriculum. With Basic Basic Competence (KD) 3.7 Identify the values and content contained in folklore (hikyat) both oral and written. 4.7 Retelling the contents of folklore (hikayata) heard or read.

Abstract

This research aims to describe code-switching and code-mixing found in buying and selling transactions in Pontianak Central Market, based on the types and causes of occurrence. The benefit of this research is to add insight into the code, code switching and mixing in buying and selling transactions in Pontianak Central Market. The method in this research is descriptive method in the form of qualitative research. The technique used is observation technique or direct observation. Data collection used tapping technique and free listening technique. Tapping is done with a recording device in the form of portable digital audio voice recording. Techniques to test the validity of data in this study are observation persistence, triangulation, and discussion with the supervisor. Based on the data analysis, this research concludes that there are 63 data in the form of code switching and 48 data in the form of inward code mixing and outward code mixing.

Abstract

This research discusses speech acts or language use in the morning market street vendors of Pemangkat city, Sambas Regency. The purpose of this study is to describe the speech acts of Sambas language used by street vendors of Pemangkat city morning market using Pragmatics Review. The method used in this research is descriptive method in qualitative form. The source of data in this research is the morning market street vendors of Pemangkat city. Data collection techniques in this study used recording and note-taking techniques by means of field observation first then going down to the field, data collection, and documentation. This research produces illocutionary speech acts spoken by Pemangkat city morning market street vendors ranging from vegetable and meat traders. Based on the data analysis, the assertive speech acts in this study are 21 speech acts in Pasar Pagi Street Vendors consisting of stating, claiming, complaining, suggesting, boasting. Therefore, this assertive illocutionary speech act is more than other speech acts. Directive speech acts are found as many as 12 illocutionary speech acts consisting of begging, recommending, and ordering. Commissive speech acts were found as many as 5 speech acts, namely offering. Expressive speech acts are found as many as 11 speech acts consisting of thanking, praising, and apologizing. Furthermore, there are 6 declarative speech acts consisting of surrendering and ostracizing.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the ethnomedicine lexicon of traditional medicine in the Malay community of Punggur Kapuas village, Kubu Raya district. This research was using descriptive method with the form of qualitative research. Sources of data in this study directly from the informant. The data obtained in this study resulted in 80 ethnomedicinal lexicon of traditional medicine in the Malay community of Punggur Kapuas village, Kubu Raya district, namely based on the name of the disease, totaling 31 lexicon consisting of 21 lexicon of disease names in Sambas Malay and 10 lexicon of disease names in Pontianak Malay, treatment materials. totaling 49 lexicon consisting of 30 lexicon names of medicinal ingredients in Malay Sambas and 19 lexicon names of ingredients in Pontianak Malay language. The form of the ethnomedicinal lexicon of traditional medicine in the Malay community of Punggur Kapuas village, Kubu Raya district is in the form of 40 lexicon monomorphemics and 40 lexicon phrases. The meaning of the ethnomedicine lexicon of traditional medicine in the Malay community of Punggur Kapuas village, Kubu Raya district based on 80 lexical meanings and 6 lexical meanings of cultural meaning. The form of Indonesian language learning text based on the ethnomedicine lexicon of traditional medicine in the Malay community of Punggur Kapuas village, Kubu Raya district is a descriptive text.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the use of imperative sentences in the novel Kita Pergi Hari Ini by Ziggy Zesyazeoviennazabriskie from a syntactic perspective. Imperative sentences, as a form of communication that contains orders, pleas or invitations, can form a narrative significantly in literary works. In the context of this novel, syntactic analysis will explore the structure, pattern, and function of imperative sentences in building the storyline and describing the characters. The analysis method used is a qualitative descriptive approach, with reference to syntax theory. The data collection technique used is a documentary technique. The data analysis technique is carried out by describing and recording the data that has been determined based on the problem to be researched. The data used in this study are sentences, words, or dialogues in the novel Kita Pergi Hari Ini by Ziggy. The results of this research will explain and distinguish imperative sentences in the novel Kita Pergi Hari Ini by Ziggy in the form of imperative sentences of commands, requests, and invitations. This research is expected to provide new insights into the use of imperative sentences in modern literary works as well as contribute a deeper understanding of the novel Kita Pergi Hari Ini by Ziggy Zesyazeoviennazabriskie. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between folklore and education. What cultural values can be used for educational purposes, and how can they be used? The data is taken from the story of Pang Alui, a folklore of people in the interior of Kapuas Hulu, West Kalimantan. This story is an archive of researchers' oral literature research from 1996 to 1997. Interviews with several people were also conducted to get their views on the values of the folklore for the education of the younger generation. Folklore has a lot of value in learning. There are educational values, among others: persevering, learning and meticulous, cooperation and willingness to share. More than that, folklore is also meaningful in terms of language and cultural information. Given its proximity to society, folklore can serve as a pedagogical resource in an educational environment, both in specialized subjects and integrated into other lessons. This study has implications for the awareness of all parties to pay attention to the existence of folklore in the community; teachers utilize the material, students become closer to cultural heritage, researchers do documentation, and stakeholders maintain the continuity of the literature. This study has important significance in looking back at the relationship between folklore and education, in particular, in reaffirming that folklore must be documented and inherited. The inheritance can be done through educational institutions.

Abstract

The research objectives is to describe the distribution of, pointer pronomina in Malay languages in West Kalimantan based on GIS. This research uses qualitative descriptive method. Criteria for selecting informants: aged 20"”40 years, active speakers of the Malay language of the region under study, physically mentally healthy, do not have defects in speech organs hearing organs, and have good internet access. Informant selection technique: snowball sampling technique through social media. The method used: conversational method with basic techniques of interview techniques and advanced techniques of open chats, note-taking techniques and recording techniques. Two data validity checking techniques: observation persistence and referential adequacy. The results found:The lexicon "ini" has 3 variations. The lexicon "itu" has 3 variations. The lexicon "di sini" has 2 variations. The lexicon "kesini" has 1 variation. The lexicon "ke situ" has 1 variation. The lexicon "di sana" has 3 variations. The lexicon "begini" has 3 variations. The lexicon "begitu" has 3 variations.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the speed of reading ability of grade X students of SMA Negeri 4 Pontianak. The method used is descriptive to describe the ability of students in speed reading, with the form of research that is qualitative. The subjects of this study were 34 students of class X G SMA Negeri 4 Pontianak. The data obtained is the result of the reading speed of students in the discourse that has been given in the form of speed of reading ability test results, determining the main idea of paragraphs, and understanding the content of the discourse. The results of the analysis of the speed of reading ability of grade X students of SMA Negeri 4 Pontianak based on the ideal speed category for high school students are 14 students who have speeds below average, people with average / ideal speed, and 15 people above average. Furthermore, the results of determining the main idea of the students' paragraph were three people got good grades (B), nine people got enough marks (C), and 16 people got less marks (D). Finally, the results of the analysis of the ability to understand the content of discourse of grade X students of SMA Negeri 4 Pontianak were four people who got a very good grade category (A), 10 people got a good grade category (B), four people 129 got a sufficient score category (C), and 16 people got a less score category (D).

Abstract

This study aims to record the existing lexicon in the circumcision tradition (besunat) of the Sambas Malay community, especially in the pre- implementation, implementation, and post-implementation processes, as well as produce supplementary teaching materials for Indonesian language learning based on the cultural lexicon in the circumcision tradition (besunat) in the Sambas Malay community. The theory used is the theory of anthropolinguistics. The method used is a descriptive method with a qualitative form. The source of data in this study is the Sambas Malay community. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews, recording techniques, note-taking techniques, documentation. This study produced 53 data consisting of 4 pre-implementation lexicon, 1 implementation lexicon, 4 post-implementation lexicon, 23 lexicon in the form of tools used, 8 lexicon in the form of materials used, 6 lexicon in the form of food served, 4 lexicon in the form of the actors involved, 1 lexicon in the form of time, 2 lexicon of cultural objects used. The form of the lingual unit there are 29 lexicon in the form of monomorphemic form, 4 lexicon in the form of polymorphemic form, 19 lexicon in the form of endocentric phrase, the meanings found in this study were 53 in the form of lexical meaning, 27 lexicon in the form of culturalmeaning. The form of Indonesian language learning text produces descriptivetext.
