Abstract

Customary marriage is a traditional wedding ceremony that has been carried out for generations in Samalantan Village Binua Gajekng Bengkayang Regency. The problem in the research is how the inventory of terminology in traditional marriage, lexical meaning, cultural meaning, and semantic function. This study aims to describe the terminology in the traditional marriage process of the Dayak Badameay. The method used in this research is descriptive research method with qualitative research form. The data source in this research is Badamea Dayak language. The data in this study are the form of terminology of the traditional marriage process. The data collection technique used open chitchat technique, recording technique, and note-taking technique. The results of the analysis carried out based on the problems in the study which include pre-implementation, implementation, and post-implementation terminology. This research describes the form of inventory of terminology, lexical meaning, cultural meaning, and semantic function.   Based on data analysis, there are 54 data of terminology in the traditional marriage process of Dayak Badamea Binua Gajekng Bengkayang Regency. The lexical meaning amounted to 53 data, the cultural meaning amounted to 21 data, and the semantic function amounted to 54 data.

Abstract

This study aims to inventory and describe in the form of lingual units,lexical meaning and cultural meaning based on the cultural lexicon inthe Sambas Malay traditional dance. The method used in this researchis a descriptive method in the form of qualitative research, and uses anethnolinguistic approach. The data sources in this study were culturaldance activists such as teachers (coaches) and musicians, the data in thisstudy was the traditional Malay Sambas dance. Data collectiontechniques are interview, note, record and documentation. Thetechnique of testing the validity of the data is the persistence ofobservation and triangulation. This research produces 275 lexicon in thetraditional Malay dance Sambas with details of 153 words in the formof monomorphemic and polymorphemic, and 122 phrases. Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the spice hundreds param lexicon in the Malay Sambas community in Sarang Burung Kuala Village. The research method used in this study is a descriptive method with a qualitative research form. Sources of data in this study directly from informants. The data obtained in this study resulted in 92 hundred param spice lexicons in the Sambas Malay community in Sarang Burung Kuala Village, consisting of 10 param types, 48 lexicons for spices or medicinal ingredients, 18 lexicons for tools used, there are 9 lexicons for how to make them, and based on how to use them there are 7 lexicons. The form of the spice hundreds param lexicon in the Malay Sambas community in Sarang Burung Kuala Village is in the form of monomorphemic lexicons totaling 27, polymorphemis totaling 21 lexicons, and phrases totaling 44 lexicons. The meaning of the spice hundreds param lexicon in the Malay Sambas community in Sarang Burung Kuala Village based on lexical meanings totals 92 lexicons and 12 lexicons for cultural meanings. The form of an Indonesian language learning text based on the spice hundreds param lexicon for the Malay Sambas community in Sarang Burung Kuala Village is a procedure text.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the calasification of toponymy studies, the meaning of toponymy studiesz and produce a desriptive text structure of the Alwatzikhoebillah Palace, a supplement for learning Indonesian for class VII descriptive text material based on the study of toponymy around the Alwatzikhoebillah Palace. The method used in this study is a qualitative method. The source of the data in this study is the speech of the informant who understands the study of toponymy or the naming of place names at the Alwatzikhoebillah Palace, Sambas Regency. Data collection technique are observation, interview, and note taking technique. Based on the overall data that has been analyzed, the are six naming classifications based on their referents, namely 4 categories based on plants, 2 categories based on ethnicity, 8 categories based on people's name, 9 categories based on stories, 1 category based on historical object, and 1 category based on buildings. The total number of data is 25. The meaning of the toponymy study consist of four types of meaning, namely lexical meaning, grammatical meaning, referential meaning, and associative meaning, implemented for desriptive text teaching materials in Indonesian language subject in the 2013 curriculum for class Vll odd semesters.

Abstract

Learning short stories requires imaginative skills that can be supported by a good and an immersive educational approach includes the Project Based Learning framework assisted by photography. This research aims to determine crafting narratives through the Project Based Learning methodology assisted by photography in students in the 11th grade at SMA Negeri 1 Jawai. The research methodology employed is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The data source of this research is students in the 11th grade IA2 at SMA Negeri 1 Jawai and the data are students' project reports. The findings of the study indicate that students short story writing skills with the PBL learning model experienced improvement. The improvement in students' short story writing skills from pre-action to cycle 1 was 16%, from an average pre-action score of 62.77 to 72.77 in cycle 1, and From the first phase to the second phase, there was a 12% increase, with the average score improving from 72.77 in phase 1 to 81.33 in phase 2. Students' short story writing skills improved by 30% overall, with the average score increasing from 62.77 before the intervention to 81.33 afterward, aligning with the learning objectives to achieve mastery.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the structure and the language rules of procedure texts by students of SMP Negeri 8 Pontianak in Indonesian language learning. The method used in this research is descriptive with qualitative research form. The data collection technique used was documentary study. The data source of this research is the procedure text of the work of class VII D students totaling 35 at SMP Negeri 8 Pontianak in the 2023/2024 school year. The data analysis techniques used in this research are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the research analysis from the structure aspect as many as 28 students made the essay got an assessment score of 50 with very good assessment criteria, 7 students got an assessment score of 40 with good assessment criteria, from the aspect of language rules as many as 8 students made the essay got an assessment score of 60 with very good assessment criteria, 15 students got an assessment score of 50 with very good assessment criteria, 9 students got an assessment score of 40 with good assessment criteria, 2 students got an assessment score of 30 with sufficient assessment criteria, 1 student got an assessment score of 10 with very poor assessment criteria.

Abstract

The background of this research is done because when dialogue between figures in the film, there is a delivery of messages or intentions of speakers to speakers. The purpose of this study is to know and describe the type and function of the illocusion speech in the Yuni film. The method used in this study is a descriptive method with a qualitative form of research. The source of the data in this study is the Yuni film by Kamila Andini. The data in this study is the illocumental speech in the Yuni film by Kamila Andini. The data collection technique performed in the study is documentation study. The data collector used in this study is a visual audio document in the form of films to collect data and use indicators of the type and function of illocusion speech to classify the speech. The instruments used in this study are the classification of the type and function of illocusion speech. The illocusion speech in the Yuni film totaled 43 data with details of 7 representative speakings, 24 directive speakings, 9 expressive speakings, 3 commissive speakings, 43 data are divided into 17 functions. As well as from this analysis can be implemented in Indonesian learning at the level of High Schools of criticism and essay text material

Abstract

The Pontianak Malay community has a culture that is still maintained, namely the procession between goods in the Pontianak Malay traditional wedding. In this case, the research focuses on rhyme speech in Pontianak Malay traditional marriages through acoustic phonetic studies. The problem in this study includes aspects of frequency and duration of rhyme speech in Pontianak Malay traditional marriages. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method and uses an acoustic phonetic study approach as an analytical study tool. The source of the data in this study was taken from the video recording of the marriage between Reza Okta Indriyandi, S.Kom and Emmy Rustianty, S.Sos. Data retrieval using documentation techniques with data collection tools, namely voice recorders, laptops, gadgets, and stationery. This research succeeded in getting 17 rhymes with a total of 68 target sentences. The final result of the data processing of this research is presented into tables and figures using the praat application as a data analysis tool. The data were analyzed based on their acoustic characteristics, namely frequency and duration. This research is expected to be documented so that it contributes to linguistic literature in phonology, especially regional languages.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the researcher's curiosity regarding the acquisition of Dayak Kanayatn language fauna nouns by 6 year old children in Pendaring Nyarumkop Village. Aims to describe the acquisition of Dayak Kanayatn language fauna nouns aged 6 years in Pendaring Nyarumkop Village, and implementation in Indonesian language learning. The research data sources consist of four, namely Diana Kartika, Apriliani, Digo Pratama, and Purnama Yordan. The form of research used is qualitative with descriptive methods. Data collection tools are gadgets, question lists, picture lists, and notetaking sheets. Data collection techniques are face-to-face techniques, interviews, recording and note-taking, and documentation. The technique for testing the validity of the data is the persistence of observations and the adequacy of references. The results of the research show that first, Diana Kartika obtained 34 data on fauna nouns in the Dayak Kanayatn language in the form of monomorphemics totaling 33 nouns and phrases totaling 1 noun. Second, Apriliani obtained 35 data on fauna nouns in the Dayak Kanayatn language in the form of monomorphemics totaling 31 nouns and phrases totaling 4 nouns. Third, Digo Pratama obtained 39 data on fauna nouns in the Dayak Kanayatn language in the form of monomorphemics totaling 37 nouns and phrases totaling 2 nouns. Fourth, Purnama Yordan obtained 37 data on fauna nouns in the form of monomorphemics totaling 35 nouns and phrases totaling 2nouns. The factors that influence language acquisition are biology, social environment, intelligence, and motivation.

Abstract

This research aims to classify data obtained from the field, carry out an inventory of the data in the form of terminology, lexical meaning and cultural meaning, and produce a supplementary form of Indonesian language learning text based on Cultural Terminology in the Rituals of the Boboren Tradition in the Jangkang Dayak Community in Jangkang District, Sanggau Regency. The method used in this research is a descriptive method in qualitative form. The data sources in this research are people or community leaders who really understand the boboren tradition. The informants in this research were Emelia Poni (Semombat Village) aged 45 years, Jimpui (Semombat Village) aged 54 years, Cristian Mara (Dusun Rosak) aged 57 years. Data collection techniques are interview, recording and documentation techniques. Data validity testing techniques include techniques to increase persistence, triangulation, reference skills, and peer examination. This research produced 112 data on cultural terminology in the rituals of the boboren tradition in the Jangkang Dayak Community in Jangkang District, Sanggau Regency with details of 19 terms in the form of monomorphemic terms and 41 data in the form of polymorphemic terms. There are 52 data on lexical meaning and 7 data on cultural meaning in boboren ritual terminology, 13 data on process terminology, 34 data on tool and material terminology, and 6 data on perpetrator terminology. This research also produces an Indonesian language learning text based on Cultural Terminology in the Rituals of the Boboren Tradition in the Jangkang Dayak Community in Jangkang District, Sanggau Regency.
