Abstract

Contractor evaluation remains a major challenge in safety-critical industries such as oil and gas, where the need to comply with stringent Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards demands a robust and objective assessment mechanism. The existing manual evaluation methods are plagued by subjectivity, inconsistent data handling, and inability to resolve performance ties, leading to unreliable contractor differentiation. To address this problem, this study investigates how can a computational decision support framework minimize subjectivity and enhance ranking precision in contractor evaluations. It proposes a Decision Support System (DSS) based on the Fuzzy Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (Fuzzy TOPSIS) to improve the accuracy, transparency, and efficiency of evaluations within the Contractor Safety Management System (CSMS). The DSS integrates qualitative and quantitative criteria using fuzzy logic and expert-assigned linguistic weights. Developed following the Waterfall software development lifecycle, the system was validated using black box testing and applied to realistic simulated data from ten contractors evaluated across multiple criteria and subcriteria. Results demonstrate that the DSS effectively resolves score ties present in manual evaluations, enabling finer distinctions among contractors, with the highest closeness coefficient of 0.479 achieved by the top-ranked contractor. This value reflects a 47.9% closeness to the ideal performance profile, marking a significant improvement over binary or aggregate-based evaluation methods..User feedback confirmed high satisfaction with system usability and performance. The proposed DSS offers a robust and adaptable framework for contractor evaluation, enhancing decision-making accuracy and operational transparency in high-risk environments. Its novelty lies in the integration of fuzzy linguistic modeling within a CSMS context to operationalize HSE performance evaluations. Future research should focus on incorporating advanced fuzzy logic methods and artificial intelligence to facilitate real-time, dynamic contractor evaluations under uncertainty.

Abstract

Sertifikasi halal tidak hanya memenuhi aspek keagamaan, tetapi juga membawa nilai tambah ekonomi dan sosial bagi dunia usaha. Sertifikasi halal menjadi jaminan bagi konsumen, terutama Muslim, bahwa produk yang mereka konsumsi atau gunakan sesuai dengan prinsip-prinsip syariah, aman, dan berkualitas. Bagi pelaku usaha, sertifikasi ini menjadi investasi jangka panjang yang berdampak positif dalam membangun kepercayaan konsumen dan memperluas akses pasar, baik domestik maupun internasional. Namun, meskipun Undang-Undang Jaminan Produk Halal telah diimplementasikan hampir sepuluh tahun, banyak pelaku usaha yang belum menjalani sertifikasi ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi pustaka (library research) untuk mengeksplorasi peran sertifikasi halal dalam membangun kepercayaan konsumen, memperkuat daya saing perusahaan, dan dampak kebijakan pemerintah terhadap kewajiban sertifikasi halal di Indonesia. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa sertifikasi halal memiliki peran signifikan dalam meningkatkan loyalitas konsumen Muslim serta menarik minat konsumen non-Muslim yang menghargai aspek kebersihan dan kualitas produk. Selain itu, sertifikasi halal juga memperkuat daya saing perusahaan di pasar global, khususnya di negara-negara mayoritas Muslim. Di Indonesia, sertifikasi halal telah menjadi syarat wajib bagi produk tertentu, mendorong perusahaan, termasuk UMKM, untuk menyesuaikan diri dengan standar halal. Kendati menghadapi tantangan, sertifikasi halal menawarkan peluang besar bagi pelaku usaha dalam meningkatkan kualitas dan akses pasar yang lebih luas, didukung oleh pemerintah melalui berbagai program pendampingan dan pelatihan.

Abstract

Self-actualization is the peak experience in Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory. Maslow's hierarchy of needs consists of physiological needs, the need for a sense of security (safety needs), the need to have affection (social needs), esteem needs, and self-actualization. The purpose of this study is to describe how Maslow's holistic-dynamic theory describes self-actualization and the Sufistic view of the concept of self-actualization. This study employs a qualitative research method in conjunction with a type of literature review. The data collection technique used is documentation. The results of the study show that Sufistic psychology views self-actualization as a peak experience that is not absolute because humans are not just physical, mechanical beings. Ibn 'Arabi views that humans will reach a peak experience when they have abandoned themselves to unite with God (fana'); then humans must experience four levels: Shari'a, Tariqah, essence, and makrifat. In addition, al-Ghazali also emphasized the fulfillment of mashlahah al-'amm as his peak experience.

Abstract

The synthesis of nitroglycerin requires extremely precise control of reactant volumes due to its highly sensitive and hazardous nature. This study evaluates the performance of a capacitive level sensor integrated with a Fuzzy-PID controller capable of adapting to error dynamics while utilizing an ESP32 microcontroller and a peristaltic pump. The sensor was tested for accuracy, precision, linearity, resolution, response time, hysteresis, stability, and sensitivity. The results demonstrated an accuracy of 99.4%, an R² value of 0.997, a resolution of 0.1 mL, and a response time of 4.98 seconds. The system exhibited high precision and stable performance, offering a potential solution for enhancing the reliability and safety of nitroglycerin production.

Abstract

In essence, Islamic education in Indonesia has been going on since the entry and development of Islam in this country. The large number of people's acceptance of Islam makes religion a pillar of life for the wider community, of course, balanced with the learning process to know and understand Islamic teachings so that it becomes evidence that Islamic education as a sub-system of national education has historical importance in the development of Indonesian education. It can be studied that Islamic education during colonialism, the independence period until the process of integrating Islamic education into the national education system is thus real, as well as being evidence of the birth of Islamic education. In fact, development is inseparable from the existence of Islamic education.

Abstract

Motorcycle theft continues to rise in various regions, highlighting the need for more reliable security systems. Conventional protection methods, such as double locks or standard alarms, have proven to be vulnerable and insufficient. This research aims to design and implement a motorcycle security system based on WiFi MAC address authentication from the owner's smartphone. The system is built using the ESP8266 microcontroller, which scans nearby devices and matches their MAC addresses against a pre-registered list. If a match is found, the vehicle is allowed to start. In addition to authentication, the system is equipped with a vibration sensor to detect suspicious activity when the motorcycle is in an OFF state. Test results indicate that the system can effectively distinguish between authorized and unauthorized devices, and responds accurately and promptly under various test conditions

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of school principals' policies in improving the pedagogic competence of teachers in Darunnajah Islamic Boarding School. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach, which collects data through in-depth interviews with principals, vice principals, and teachers, as well as observation of policy planning and evaluation activities. The data obtained were analyzed using thematic analysis techniques to identify key themes related to policy planning, evaluation, and collaboration in improving pedagogic competence. The results of the study show that the policies implemented by the principal at the Darunnajah Islamic Boarding School focus on structured planning, continuous evaluation, and collaboration with teachers. Systematic planning and regular evaluation have been proven to increase teaching effectiveness. In addition, collaboration between school principals and teachers in designing education policies also strengthens the implementation of policies that are relevant to educational needs. Nonetheless, challenges in implementation such as resistance to change and resource limitations remain obstacles. This research contributes to understanding the importance of inclusive and continuous evaluation-based education policies to improve the pedagogic competence of teachers in Islamic boarding schools

Abstract

Peran ayah merupakan salah satu faktor penting bagi tumbuh kembang anak, terutama terhadap perilaku moral anak. Dalam artikel ini, penulis ingin membahas mengenai perbedaan perilaku moral anak dengan keterlibatan ayah dalam Pembimbingan dan perilaku moral anak tanpa keterlibatan ayah dalam Pembimbingannya. Penulisan artikel ini menggunakan metode penelitian studi pustaka atau studi literatur, yaitu dengan mencari sumber dari buku, jurnal, artikel, dan sumber lainnya yang memiliki relevansi dengan pembahasan dalam artikel ini, yakni mengenai keterlibatan ayah dalam Pembimbingan bagi perilaku moral anak. Hasil dari pencarian informasi mengenai studi pustaka menyebutkan bahwa penting adanya keterlibatan ayah dalam Pembimbingan bagi perilaku moral anak. Hal tersebut dapat dibuktikan dengan temuan beberapa penelitian terdahulu mengenai hal ini yang menjelaskan bahwa tak jarang terdapat penyimpangan perilaku moral anak tanpa keterlibatan ayah dalam Pembimbingan. Maka dari itu, keterlibatan ayah dalam Pembimbingan bagi perilaku moral anak menjadi suatu hal yang perlu dilakukan.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of school principals in integrating technology into teaching and learning, the challenges encountered in the process, and the competencies required for principals to lead digital transformation. A qualitative method with a case study approach was employed in several schools in Indonesia. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with principals, teachers, and students, as well as document analysis related to school technology policies. The findings indicate that principals with a clear vision and adequate technological competence are able to foster the successful integration of technology in instruction. Key challenges include teachers’ resistance to change, limited resources and infrastructure, and the lack of ongoing professional development for teachers. Principals who address these barriers by providing sufficient support, continuous training, and cultivating a culture of innovation can accelerate schools’ digital transformation. Moreover, principals’ technological competencies play an important role in motivating and facilitating teachers to integrate technology. The study offers recommendations for principals to adopt transformational leadership and to place greater emphasis on teacher professional development and the enhancement of technological infrastructure. It is hoped that this research provides insights for education policymakers and school leaders to strengthen technology implementation in schools.

Abstract

Tuntutan peningkatan upah minimum di Indonesia menjadi fenomena yang menarik untuk dikaji dalam studi kebijakan publik. Gerakan buruh terus menuntut atas perbaikan upah minimum. Sementara perusahaan mengharapkan upah yang rendah agar mendapatkan keuntungan besar. Disisi lain, pemerintah harus menjamin pemenuhan lapangan kerja bagi masyarakat, dan menjaga angka pengangguran terus menurun. Kerangka kerja advokasi merupakan suatu konsep perubahan kebijakan dalam sub-sistem kebijakan yang dilakukan oleh aktor atau stakeholder yang terlibat dalam kebijakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebijakan penetapan upah minimum dalam kerangka kerja advokasi dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kepustakaan. Terdapat empat sub-sistem kebijakan penetapan upah minimum di Indonesia, yang meliputi: (a) kelompok asosiasi (pengusaha); (b) asosiasi serikat buruh; (c) pemerintah, dan (d) perguruan tinggi. Keempat aktor ini dikategorikan sebagai internal sub-sistem kebijakan. Aktor-aktor ini memiliki peran dan fungsi masing-masing yang saling berinteraksi satu dengan lain dalam kebijakan penetapan upah minum di Indonesia. Permasalahan upah minimum dapat diselesaikan apabila diberikan ruang untuk berkontribusi dan dialog terbuka antar aktor dalam penetapan kebijakan. Peran aktor penengah seperti pemerintah dan perguruan tinggi harus dioptimal perannya dalam proses penetapan upah minimum. Sehingga masing-masing harapan dari aktor terakomodir dalam penetapan kebijakan upah minum di Indonesia.
