Abstract

Introduction: Maternal mortality rate (MMR) is an important indicator of the health and well-being of a society, and remains a serious global problem. Preeclampsia is a health problem that can occur in pregnant women who are more than 20 weeks pregnant. Preeclampsia is one of the leading causes of maternal death in Indonesia. The incidence of preeclampsia in pregnant women occurs due to not doing early detection. The importance of Antenatal Care (ANC) check-ups is recognised as a crucial preventive measure to ensure the health of mothers and babies, and to detect early complications during pregnancy. However, ANC service coverage in Indonesia is still below the national target, indicating the need to improve awareness and access to these services. Utilization of Antenatal Care (ANC) services needs to be done by pregnant women in order to detect early and carry out appropriate treatment of pregnant women's health problems, especially preeclampsia. Objective: To analyze the relationship between the compliance of pregnant women in utilizing antenatal care services and the incidence of preeclampsia. Method: This research is a literature review with a scoping review method using the PRISMA approach. The data used in this study used online database literature from Google Scholar, Science Direct, and Scopus with the last 5 years. Result: Based on several previous studies, low compliance of pregnant women in attending ANC visits can be a risk factor for preeclampsia. Pregnant women who are committed to regular check-ups during pregnancy can detect diseases and complications early, including preeclampsia. Quality and regular ANC services can detect pregnancy risks early and help prevent maternal mortality. In this study revealed that the greatest risk of preeclampsia that might occur in pregnant women who are not compliant in conducting ANC is 67 times, this is certainly very risky for the health of pregnant women and babies. Conclusion: This study cloncludes that regular Antenatal Care (ANC) visits are crucial to detect and manage complications early. The low rate of ANC visits should encourage healthcare providers to innovate in promoting ANC in an engaging and understandable way.

Abstract

Introduction: One of the common sexual issues is sexual behavior, which is predominantly engaged in by adolescents aged 15-24. Approximately 15–20% of teenagers in Indonesia have had premarital sex, and around 2.3 million adolescents have undergone abortions. Additionally, there have been 1.7 million cases of unintended pregnancies (UP) and births among teenagers under the age of 24. The increase in sexual behavior among teenagers can be attributed to several factors, one of which is exposure to sexual content on social media. Most teenagers typically engage in sexual activities of their own volition, influenced by social media. Objective: The objective of this study is to understand the influence of social media use on adolescent sexual behavior. Method: This study is a scoping review using the PRISMA approach. The data sources for this research were obtained by accessing electronic databases or journal provider websites online from Google Scholar, PubMed, and Scopus, which have published articles in the last 5 years. Result: The ease of access to information about sexual behavior through social media can encourage teenagers to engage in sexual activities. However, social media can also provide information on preventing sexual behavior, helping teenagers avoid such actions. Therefore, the use of social media among teenagers has both positive and negative influences and impacts on sexual behavior. Conclusion: Social media use among adolescents has both positive and negative impacts. The negative impact of social media can include easy access to sexual or pornographic content, which may encourage adolescents to engage in sexual behavior. On the other hand, the positive impact is that adolescents can use social media as a source of information on sexual education to prevent them from engaging in sexual behavior.

Abstract

Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSD) are a common issue among bank employees that can significantly impact their health and productivity. This research adopts a scoping review methodology, focusing on international journals related to the Analysis of Factors Associated with Bank Employees' Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs). Data from various studies reveal that the body areas most frequently affected by MSDs in the banking sector are the neck, lower back, and shoulders. Factors such as non-ergonomic working postures, improper computer usage, job-related stress, repetitive tasks, and insufficient breaks play pivotal roles in elevating the risk of MSDs. In efforts to mitigate these risks, the implementation of ergonomic training stress management, as well as a proactive prevention and regular monitoring approach within the banking work environment, becomes imperative. These findings offer insights into the elevated risk of MSDs in bank workers, providing a foundation for initiatives to enhance their well-being and work quality.

Abstract

To the best of our knowledge, bibliometric analysis has not been performed for studies related to diabetic kidney disease (DKD) and hemodialysis using healthcare big data. Herein, the aim of this bibliometric analysis was to identify emerging research trends in DKD and hemodialysis within healthcare insurance databases by exploring authors, co-author networks, and countries to discover new potential research areas. A bibliometric study was conducted, utilizing data obtained from the Scopus database. Keywords such as diabetic kidney disease, hemodialysis, insurance or big data, and prediction were employed. Inclusion criteria were original articles and review articles written in English published between 2010 and 2022. VOSviewer and the Bibliometrix package in R were used for comprehensive bibliometric analysis. VOSviewer facilitated keyword co-occurrence analysis to identify clusters and visualize relationships among keywords, emphasizing distinct research themes, keyword density, and network visualization. Meanwhile, Bibliometrix allowed exploration of key metrics such as prolific authors and institutions, publication trends, co-authorship networks, citations, document types, emerging trends through keyword analysis, and network visualizations, including co-authorship and keyword co-occurrence. Results from both tools were integrated for a thorough analysis. The present study yielded 2,199 articles, which was reduced to 1,828 after removing duplicates and applying inclusion criteria. This bibliometric analysis found that machine learning and artificial intelligence are emerging yet remain relatively under-researched in the context of hemodialysis and DKD. The prominence of topics such as diabetic nephropathy, non-insulin treatments, and lifestyle modifications highlighted ongoing research priorities in DKD and hemodialysis. Taiwan's dominance in publications suggested robust research activity in this field, while international collaboration underscored global interest and the potential for diverse research perspectives. The need for similar research development in Indonesia, leveraging big data and machine learning, indicates opportunities for advancing the understanding and management of DKD and hemodialysis within the region.

Abstract

Introduction: Adolescents in developing countries face a significant risk of prehypertension, with prevalence rates varying across different regions. In Indonesia, 16.8% of adolescents aged 15-19 have prehypertension. Several factors contribute to prehypertension in adolescents, including lifestyle choices, genetics, and environmental factors. Preventing prehypertension in adolescents is crucial for promoting their overall health and reducing the risk of future cardiovascular diseases. This study aims to determine the prevention strategies to reduce prehypertension among adolescents in developing countries. Methods: This scoping review followed PRISMA-ScR guidelines. Articles were retrieved from PubMed, Science Direct, and ProQuest using predefined keywords. The search, conducted between March and June 2024, focused on studies published in the last five years (2019–2024). Results: The search yielded 2,425 articles (712 from PubMed, 1,597 from Science Direct, and 116 from ProQuest). After screening and eligibility assessment, 10 relevant studies were selected. These studies identified key prevention strategies, including health education, dietary modifications (DASH diet), physical activity, and stress management. Conclusion: A multifaceted approach is crucial for preventing prehypertension among adolescents. School-based interventions are the most evidence-based and feasible in resource-limited settings, offering broad coverage and lower costs. Clinicians should support blood pressure screening and nutrition education, while educators should integrate health topics into curricula and encourage physical activity. Policymakers should expand school-based health programs and support further research. Community-based programs are also essential for reaching out-of-school adolescents, making both approaches complementary in prehypertension prevention.

Abstract

Background: The decision-to-delivery interval (DDI) is a critical factor in emergency caesarean section, with the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) recommending a maximum of 30 minutes. However, adherence to this standard varies globally, particularly in resource-limited countries, contributing to an increased risk of maternal and neonatal complications. Purpose: To analyse response time to emergency caesarean section and its impact on maternal and neonatal outcomes. Method: A scoping review of PubMed, Scopus and Google Scholar databases was conducted to analyse studies published between 2014-2024 that addressed DDI, maternal complications and neonatal outcomes. Results: Many developing countries struggle to meet the DDI standard of ≤30 minutes due to limited infrastructure, medical team readiness and operational processes. Studies have shown that this delay increases the risk of perinatal death, maternal complications and the need for neonatal intensive care. Although not always directly impacting neonatal outcomes, factors such as medical staff readiness and system efficiency play a role. Therefore, improving the health system and optimizing medical team coordination are needed to improve emergency caesarean section services. Conclusion: Delayed Decision-to-Delivery Interval in emergency caesarean sections, especially in developing countries, is caused by operational inefficiency, limited infrastructure, and suboptimal medical team coordination. This has an impact on increasing maternal and perinatal mortality rates and the need for intensive care. Systemic improvements and mitigation strategies, such as intrauterine resuscitation, are needed to improve the quality of emergency obstetric care globally.   Keywords: Emergency Caesarean Section; Maternal; Neonatal.
