Abstract

Traditional Islamic education, particularly through pesantren, has a rich and important history in the development of Islam in Indonesia since the 7th century AD. Its role is significant in preserving religious identity, advancing knowledge, maintaining the Arabic language, strengthening morality, and perpetuating Islamic culture. The main principles of traditional Islamic education curriculum include monotheism (tauhid), the Quran and Sunnah, religious knowledge, character formation, practical skills, contextualization, and personality development. This research employs literature method and qualitative approach by gathering data from various sources such as books, journals, and digital sources. This allows for a deeper understanding of effective teaching methods including student-centered approaches, experiential learning, technology utilization, and collaboration. The integration of spiritual and intellectual development creates balanced and conscious individuals. Adapting traditional practices into modern education combines cultural values with relevant technology. Preserving the essence of traditional Islamic education in the present era requires deep understanding, integration with modern science, engaged learning, character education, cultural preservation, and teacher development. Thus, traditional Islamic education remains relevant and beneficial for the development of better individuals and society.

Abstract

This study examines the phenomenon of dualism in the management and implementation of Islamic education in Indonesia, focusing on the parallel systems of madrasahs and pesantren. Employing a qualitative approach, this research aims to understand the dynamics, challenges, and implications of these two educational systems. Through in-depth interviews with educators, administrators, and policymakers, as well as a review of literature and policy documents, the study finds that madrasahs adhere to the national educational standards set by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, whereas pesantren operate with greater autonomy, emphasizing traditional Islamic education. This dualism results in variations in student outcomes and educational experiences, highlighting the need for integrated policies that recognize and bridge the strengths of both systems. The study concludes with recommendations to enhance the synergy between madrasahs and pesantren to improve the quality of Islamic education in Indonesia.

Abstract

In several ways, the sharia accounting system is different from conventional accounting. However, there are axiomatic technical similarities between the two. By using descriptive qualitative methods, this research aims to provide the author with an understanding of accounting theory and practice in Islamic economics. The research results show that the perspective of accounting science in Islamic economic practice focuses on the use of an accounting system that is in accordance with sharia principles, which prioritizes truth, accuracy and fairness. Surah Al-Baqarah verse 282 emphasizes clear and accurate transaction recording, the use of honest writers, financial accountability, zakat, and transparency and fairness in accounting. The results of this research conclude that there are many ways to see the economic implications of Islam today. First, Islamic economics must adapt to technological changes because they have influenced the way people think and act. Second, the history of Islamic economics has changed in the modern era, and third, Islamic economics is now real and relevant with the development of digital technology. Fourth, the concept of Islamic economics is based on the Koran and Sunnah. Compared to Conventional Accounting: Sharia accounting systems differ from conventional accounting in several key aspects. However, there are axiomatic technical similarities between the two.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine and evaluate the current quality assurance system for Islamic education at MAN Insan Cendikia Serpong. MAN Insan Cendikia Serpong, one of the leading educational institutions in Indonesia, is famous for its curriculum which combines Islamic principles with science and technology. To determine the elements that support the quality assurance of teaching at this institution, this research uses a qualitative methodology combined with library techniques. Data was collected using document analysis and observation. Research findings show that the success of quality assurance at MAN Insan Cendikia Serpong is supported by several key factors, including an integrated curriculum, school management, professionality, and active participation of students and parents. These findings provide important insights for the development of qualityy and sustainable islamic education policy.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penggunaan Instagram oleh politisi untuk menciptakan citra positif dalam mempengaruhi pemilih. Artikel ini akan menganalisis secara komperhensih penggunaan Instagram oleh calon gubernur dan wakil gubernur Sumatera Barat dalam kontestasi Pemilihan Kepala Daerah (Pilkada) 2024 menggunakan analisis konten kualitatif menggunakan kerangka Pierre Bourdieu: habitus, modal, field. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa Instagram telah menjadi arena politik strategis bagi para politisi, dimana kekuasaan simbolik diperjuangkan melalui unggahan visual, gambar, video pendek, dan hastag. Pasangan Mahyeldi–Vasco secara konsisten memanfaatkan modal simbolik, budaya, dan sosial untuk memperkuat branding mereka dalam berbagai posting, terutama melalui hashtag #Gerakcepatuntuksumbar. Sebaliknya, akibat ketidakkonsistenan dalam memposting informasi dan penggunaan hashtag, pasangan Epyardi-Ekos belum optimal memanfaatkan Instagram sebagai alat komunikasi politik. Strategi komunikasi politik melalui Instagram ini menjadi salah satu keunggulan pasangan Mahyeldi-Vasco dalam membentuk opini publik di Instagram. Studi ini menyoroti pentingnya aktor politik mengelola narasi, menjaga konsistensi posting, dan berkolaborasi dalam memanfaatkan modal untuk membangun dan memperkuat citra positif. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi teoritis dan praktis dalam memahami dinamika politik di media digital serta memperluas pengetahuan tentang strategi komunikasi politik kontemporer dalam konteks pemilihan berbasis media sosial. This article explores and analyzes politicians' use of Instagram to create a positive image and influence voters. This study will comprehensively examine the use of Instagram by the candidates for governor and deputy governor of West Sumatra in the 2024 regional head elections (Pilkada) using a qualitative content analysis approach based on Pierre Bourdieu's theoretical framework: habitus, capital, and field. The research found that Instagram has become a strategic political arena where symbolic power is contested through visual posts, images, short videos, and hashtags. The Mahyeldi–Vasco pair consistently leveraged symbolic, cultural, and social capital to strengthen their branding in various posts, particularly through the hashtag #Gerakcepatuntuksumbar. Conversely, due to inconsistencies in posting information and hashtag usage, the Epyardi-Ekos pair has not optimally utilized Instagram as a political communication tool. This political communication strategy via Instagram has become one of the strengths of the Mahyeldi-Vasco pair in shaping public opinion on Instagram. This study highlights the importance of political actors managing narratives, maintaining post consistency, and collaborating on capital to build and strengthen a positive image. These findings contribute theoretically and practically to understanding political dynamics in digital media and expanding knowledge about contemporary political communication strategies in the context of social media-based electoral contests, particularly on Instagram.

Abstract

This service activity aims to optimize the management of financial transactions at waste banks by increasing the knowledge of waste bank officers. Apart from that, this activity also seeks to help the community in handling and processing waste into products that are valuable and beneficial for the environment. The method for implementing this activity uses persuasive mentoring and socialization with stages of preparation, socialization, implementation, and evaluation. This activity was attended by 30 participants consisting of family representatives and women who manage the waste bank in Karang Asam Ulu Village. The evaluation instrument for this service activity is in the form of distributing questionnaires and analyzing them descriptively. The results of this service show that the knowledge of the women managing the Ramli "Sylva Lestari" waste bank regarding financial transaction management has increased and they can record transactions correctly. This activity has also succeeded in getting the community to produce bokashi soap and fertilizer from recycled household waste, so it is hoped that it will improve the community's economy.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas strategi program peningkatan kinerja guru dalam profesionalisme guru di SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Terpadu Pekanbaru. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui strategi program Baitul Arqam di SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Terpadu Pekanbaru,  dan capaian kegiatan program Baitul Arqam dalam meningkatkan komptensi guru yaitu kompetensi kepribadian dan kompetensi sosial.  Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan beberapa cara yaitu observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Lokasi penelitian di SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Terpadu Pekanbaru. Hasil penelitian ini adalah Program Baitul Arqam dilaksanakan dengan terencana dan matang dengan menentukan beberapa hal penting yaitu jumlah peserta, lokasi kegiatan, tim instruktur yang di mandat, materi yang akan dimasukkan dalam kegiatan, serta agenda selama kegiatan, dan waktu pelaksanaan kegiatan. Program Baitul Arqam memberikan dampak terhadap kompetensi kepribadian dan kompetensi sosial dan berdasarkan nilai pretes dan postes didapati adanya peningkatan pemahaman peserta didik terhadap materi yang diberikan selama Program Baitul Arqam berlangsung.

Abstract

This article discusses the implementation of education to realize sustainable development. This type of research includes qualitative research (library research). The results show that awareness to implement sustainable development is one of the solutions to overcome various problems that arise due to increased human activity. Thus, it is very important to implement education for sustainable development as early as possible. The combination of pedagogical techniques with PuPB content contributes to teaching creativity, critical thinking, and fostering a willingness to learn for life, as well as all the habits that will support the achievement of a sustainable society.

Abstract

Education about traffic signs is an important aspect in forming children's safety awareness from an early age. However, this learning is often met with challenges in maintaining the interest and involvement of young children. To overcome this, the development of an Android-based learning application with single marker augmented reality (AR) technology has been carried out. This application aims to provide interactive and fun traffic sign learning for young children. Using AR technology, children can interact directly with traffic signs in a realistic virtual environment. Interactive features, such as sound explanations and rewards, coupled with child-friendly display designs, are expected to increase children's interest in learning and understanding of traffic signs. Through this application, it is hoped that children can gain solid knowledge about traffic signs while remaining engaged and motivated in the learning process. Thus, this application can potentially be an effective tool in supporting efforts to create a generation that is more aware and safe in traffic in the future.

Abstract

In the era of the development of science and technology as it is today, technology plays an important role to make an information need for many agencies and companies. Information technology itself is the most sought after and used by many agencies and companies to meet their business needs, not least in the lodging sector, which requires to provide accurate, fast, and easy information for employees and apartment guests. The purpose of this research is the formation of a check-in and billing application aimed at the Margonda Residence V Apartment in order to assist in its business processes, especially in the field of guest services at the Margonda Residence V Apartment.
