Abstract

Program Pengabdian dan Pengenalan Lapangan Persekolahan (P2LP) bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan kegiatan mahasiswa FKIP UMKT di SMKN 15 Samarinda serta menilai kontribusinya terhadap pembelajaran dan iklim sekolah. Program ini menggunakan pendekatan service-learning dengan menggabungkan kegiatan mengajar, sosialisasi, pelayanan sosial, dan piket keamanan sebagai bentuk pengalaman autentik mahasiswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, dokumentasi, dan survei mengenai perilaku bullying di kalangan siswa. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa berperan efektif dalam mendukung proses pembelajaran, membantu pelaksanaan program sekolah, dan memberikan edukasi preventif mengenai bullying. Data kuesioner mengungkap bahwa bullying fisik terjadi pada tingkat rendah, sedangkan bullying verbal dan sosial masih muncul pada tingkat ringan hingga sedang. Program P2LP terbukti memperkaya kompetensi pedagogik mahasiswa sekaligus memberikan manfaat praktis bagi sekolah, terutama dalam upaya peningkatan disiplin, literasi sosial, dan keamanan lingkungan belajar. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya kolaborasi kampus dan sekolah dalam memperkuat pendidikan vokasi serta mendorong implementasi program pengabdian berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of English-speaking practice through procedural texts in English for Specific Purposes (ESP) classes for automotive engineering students. Procedural texts, such as repair manuals and technical instructions, are integral to the automotive field and offer practical contexts for language learning. Using a one-group pre-test and post-test experimental design, 93 vocational students from SMKN 15 Samarinda East Kalimantan participated in structured speaking activities over five sessions. These included role-plays, peer feedback, and scenario-based practices using authentic automotive materials. Quantitative analysis using paired t-tests revealed a statistically significant improvement in students’ oral fluency scores, confirming the intervention’s effectiveness. The results suggest that engaging students with domain-specific procedural texts enhances both technical vocabulary acquisition and spoken communication skills. The study provides strong evidence for incorporating authentic materials and task-based speaking activities in ESP curricula, especially in vocational education contexts. It also supports the theoretical framework of task-based language teaching and highlights the value of contextualized learning for professional readiness.

Abstract

Tahap fiksasi adalah proses pengawetan jaringan untuk mempertahankan struktur jaringan sedekat mungkin sama seperti saat jaringan masih di dalam tubuh. Larutan fiksasi yang digunakan adalah larutan fiksasi bouin, memiliki keunggulan seperti kemampuan penetrasinya cepat ke dalam nukleus dan jaringan ikat akan terpulas dengan baik. Pewarna Hematoksilin Eosin merupakan pewarna histologi yang paling sering digunakan. Hematoksilin akan mewarnai inti menjadi biru sedangkan eosin akan mewarnai sitoplasma menjadi oranye. Mencit (Mus musculus) merupakan hewan yang paling sering digunakan untuk percobaan karena memiliki banyak keunggulan, ginjal mencit (Mus musculus) merupakan salah satu organ yang paling sering digunakan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan kualitas pewarnaan pada inti sel, sitoplasma, dan keseragaman warna berdasarkan variasi waktu fiksasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian eksperimental dengan desain penelitian eksperimental, dan random sampling untuk teknik pengambilan sampel. Penelitian ini telah mendapatkan izin etik dari Poltekkes Kemenkes Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa 24 jam adalah variasi waktu fiksasi terbaik karena menunjukkan inti dan sitoplasma yang jelas dan terwarnai dengan baik, dengan keseragaman warna pada jaringan merata. Hasil Uji Kruskal Wallis dan Uji Man Whitney menunjukkan adanya perbedaan kualitas pewarnaan dengan signifikan p= 0,002. Kesimpulan penelitian ini fiksasi selama 24 jam menggunakan larutan bouin merupakan pilihan waktu optimal.

Abstract

Fixation is a crucial step in the preparation of histology slides, working in maintaining the tissue structure in its original condition. This study aims to determine the effect of variations in the concentration of ethanol fixation solution on the quality of hematoxylin eosin (HE) staining results in mouse (Mus musculus) kidney histology tissue. This laboratory experimental study utilized three variations in ethanol concentrations (60%, 70%, 80%) and 10% Neutral Buffered Formalin (NBF) as a control, with a total of 24 mouse kidney slides. The quality of the preparations was assessed based on the parameters of nuclear color, cytoplasmic color, morphological integrity, color uniformity, and nuclear swelling. The results showed that fixation with 60% ethanol produced a preparation of poor quality, while 70% and 80% ethanol produced good quality, equivalent to the 10% NBE control. The Kruskal-Wallis and Mann-Whitney statistical tests showed a significant difference between the 60% ethanol group and the other groups (p < 0.05), but there was no significant difference between 70%, 80%, and 10% NBF. The conclusion of this study indicates that 70% and 80% ethanol have the potential to be effective and safer alternative fixatives compared to formalin. Abstract

Pleural effusion is a pathological condition characterized by fluid accumulation in the pleural cavity, which can occur due to infection, malignancy, or systemic disorders such as congestive heart failure. Cytological examination is an effective diagnostic method for detecting abnormal cells and malignancy in pleural effusion by reviewing the quality of staining results. This study aims to analyze and compare the staining quality of Papanicolaou, Giemsa, and May Grunwald Giemsa in pleural effusion cytology examination. The literature review results included 8 journals that met the inclusion criteria. These journals were obtained from the Google Scholar, PubMed, and Publish or Perish databases using the PICO search method and then selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria using the PRISMA flow diagram. The results of the literature review showed that the Papanicolaou method provided clearer contrast between the nucleus and cytoplasm with a good background, Giemsa displayed cell morphology but the background was less clean, while May-Grunwald Giemsa showed stable staining results and good cell detail.

Abstract

Character education is a crucial solution to the moral crisis among young people, with Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) serving as leading institutions for integrating religious values and local wisdom. This study analyzes the application of Abdurrahman Habanakah's Qur'anic tadabbur (contemplation) principles munasabah (intertextual coherence), asbabun nuzul (context of revelation), lughah (linguistics), balaghah (rhetoric), and ijtihad (independent reasoning) in character education within pesantren. This qualitative library research employs documentary analysis, focusing specifically on Surah Al-Isra: 23 and Al-Maidah: 8. The findings indicate that Habanakah's tadabbur approach effectively instills Qur'anic values such as birrul walidain (filial piety), justice, and piety through linguistic (lughah) and thematic (munasabah) analysis. The study concludes that integrating Qur'anic tadabbur into the pesantren curriculum strengthens religious textual understanding and fosters reflective and virtuous character among students. This research is limited to textual analysis of two selected verses; therefore, future studies could expand the scope to include more verses and empirical fieldwork to observe the direct application and impact of this method in pesantren settings. Abstrak Pendidikan karakter menjadi solusi penting dalam menghadapi krisis moral generasi muda, dengan pesantren sebagai institusi utama yang mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai agama dan kearifan lokal. Penelitian ini menganalisis penerapan kaidah tadabbur Al-Qur’an ‘Abd ar-Raḥmān Ḥasan Ḥabannakah al-Maidānī (w. 2004) meliputi munāsabah, asbāb an-nuzūl, luġah, balāġah, dan ijtihād dalam pendidikan karakter di lingkungan pesantren. Penelitian kualitatif kepustakaan ini menggunakan analisis dokumen dengan fokus pada QS. Al-Isrā’/17: 23 dan Al-Mā’idah/5: 8. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan tadabbur Habanakah efektif menanamkan nilai-nilai Qur’ani seperti birr al-wālidain, keadilan, dan ketakwaan melalui analisis kebahasaan (luġah) dan tematik (munāsabah). Disimpulkan bahwa integrasi tadabbur Al-Qur’an ke dalam kurikulum pesantren tidak hanya memperdalam pemahaman teks keagamaan tetapi juga membentuk karakter santri yang reflektif dan berakhlak mulia. Penelitian ini terbatas pada analisis tekstual dua ayat pilihan; sehingga kajian lanjutan dapat memperluas cakupan ayat yang dikaji dan melakukan penelitian lapangan untuk mengamati penerapan serta dampak metode ini secara langsung di pesantren.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the various audience receptions of gender injustice in the drama series "Gadis Kretek". The forms of gender injustice discussed in this study are marginalization, subordination, stereotypes, and violence. Reception data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed based on literary reception methods. The object of this study is the drama series "Gadis Kretek" which is broadcast on the Netflix application. The subjects of this study were all viewers of the drama series "Gadis Kretek". Data collection techniques, namely observation, questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this study, namely recording the respondent's answer scores, tabulating the respondent's answers, finding the percentage, and interpreting the percentage results. The results of this study show that of the twelve statements in the questionnaire, the results obtained were that the most dominant statements were of agreement. The most statements of agreement are found in statements 4, 6, and 7, namely 26 (9%). Meanwhile, the fewest statements of agreement are found in statement 1, namely 20 (7%). This study shows that the audience has a fairly high awareness of gender inequality issues presented in visual literary works. This can be a basis for content creators and educators to further utilize popular media as an educational tool in fostering critical awareness of gender issues in society.

Abstract

Dalam praktik pendidikan anak usia dini, pembelajaran seni masih kerap diperlakukan sebagai aktivitas pelengkap sehingga kontribusinya terhadap pengembangan kreativitas dan ekspresi anak belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal. Kondisi ini berbanding terbalik dengan potensi pembelajaran seni integratif yang mampu mendukung perkembangan anak secara menyeluruh. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji kontribusi pembelajaran seni integratif dalam menumbuhkan kreativitas dan kemampuan ekspresif anak usia dini. Penelitian menggunakan metode kajian literatur dengan menelaah buku, artikel ilmiah, serta hasil penelitian terdahulu yang relevan dengan implementasi seni integratif pada pendidikan anak usia dini. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran seni integratif berdampak positif terhadap peningkatan kreativitas anak, kemampuan mengekspresikan emosi, keterampilan motorik halus, serta rasa percaya diri. Melalui penggabungan berbagai bentuk seni dalam kegiatan belajar, anak memperoleh pengalaman belajar yang lebih bermakna dan kontekstual. Temuan ini mengindikasikan perlunya integrasi pembelajaran seni secara terencana dalam kurikulum PAUD, disertai dengan penguatan kompetensi pendidik dan penyediaan lingkungan belajar yang mendukung eksplorasi serta ekspresi kreatif anak.

Abstract

This article presents a cheerful and integrated learning method for introducing the letter “Ll” to 4-5 year old students at TK Negeri Bung Karno. The research aims for students to be able to recognize the letter auditorily and visually, and train their ability to find words starting with “Ll”. The learning focuses on two aspects: language (recognizing the letter and finding “Ll” words) and art (sounding out the letter through songs). The method involves introducing the sound through songs and flashcards, word searching, and fine motor activities. Fine motor activities include writing the letter in the air and on a friend's back. The result shows this multisensory approach is effective in helping students enthusiastically recognize the letter and find words. Abstract

This study aims examines the Role of Kahoot in enhancing students’ motivation in English Learning This study employed a within-subject design and involving 16 eighth-grade students from SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Samarinda, who experience both conventional instruction and Kahoot-based instruction. This instrument used in this research was test and questionnaire to collect the data. The results showed a significant increase in student motivation following the use of Kahoot, with higher post-test scores and more consistent performance. Notably, students with lower initial motivation exhibited the greatest improvement, indicating Kahoot’s potential to support less motivated learners. Overall, the study found that Kahoot fosters a more interactive, enjoyable, and engaging learning environment, thereby enhancing students’ motivation and learning outcomes in English language education.
