Abstract

This community service activity addresses women's important socio-economic challenges in urban communities by empowering them through entrepreneurship. Despite their potential, many women face barriers such as limited access to financial resources, inadequate training, and gender bias that hinder their entrepreneurial ambitions. This service aims to equip women with the skills, knowledge, and resources necessary to succeed as entrepreneurs, encouraging economic independence and social empowerment. This activity uses participatory action research (PAR) methods, involving women as co-researchers to identify their specific needs and challenges. Based on these insights, specialized training programs were developed, focusing on critical entrepreneurial skills such as business planning, financial management, and marketing. Financial assistance in the form of microloans and grants is also provided to help women overcome initial financial obstacles in starting their businesses. The results of this service are very significant, and there is a significant increase in the number of women-owned businesses in the community, which has an impact on improving the economy of the participants and their families. Additionally, the project fosters a support network of women entrepreneurs who continue to share resources and support each other. This initiative also contributes to positive changes in society's attitudes towards women in business, encouraging increased gender equality and social inclusion. In conclusion, this service shows the effectiveness of a comprehensive and integrated approach to empowering women through entrepreneurship in urban communities

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to design and evaluate an action learning–based instructional module to address the persistent gap between theoretical understanding and practical competence in basic of educational management course. The study also seeks to answer the research question of how a systematically developed action learning module can enhance student engagement, learning outcomes, and the development of 21st century skills in undergraduate educational management courses. Method: A research and development approach was employed using the ADDIE model, encompassing analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. Data were collected through expert validation, student surveys, classroom observations, and pre-test and post-test assessments to examine the module’s validity, practicality, and effectiveness.  Results: Indicate that the instructional module demonstrated high validity and practicality, with expert evaluation scores exceeding a mean value of 4.20 and positive student perceptions regarding clarity, usability, and learning engagement. Implementation findings show notable improvements in student participation, collaborative problem-solving, and confidence in articulating managerial arguments. Furthermore, learning outcome analysis reveals a significant increase in academic achievement, with an average gain of 17.4 points in post-test scores compared to pre-test results.  Novelty: The novelty of this study lies in positioning action learning as an instructional design framework embedded within a systematically developed and evaluated module, offering empirical evidence of its effectiveness in fostering 21st century skills in basic of educational management course.

Abstract

Rigid bureaucratic cultures in schools may weaken teachers’ professional agency and emotional well-being. This study examines how servant leadership practiced by a school principal contributes to a humanistic work environment in an Indonesian junior secondary school. Using a descriptive qualitative design, the study was conducted at SMP Negeri 3 Waru Sidoarjo, East Java, from July to December 2025. Data were collected through participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation involving 12 participants: one principal, one vice-principal, and ten senior teachers. The data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña. The findings show that active listening, humility, emotional support, and participatory problem-solving helped reduce hierarchical distance, strengthen teachers perceived psychological safety, and encourage more open communication in responding to administrative and curriculum-related challenges. This study proposes the Collectivism-Based Servant Leadership Model, or KPBK, by integrating servant leadership with gotong royong, musyawarah, and Ing Ngarsa Sung Tuladha. It also identifies Double-Loop Empowerment as a qualitative mechanism linking principal support, teacher empowerment, and humanistic teacher-student interaction. The findings suggest that school reform requires not only policy mandates and technical training, but also humanistic human resource governance.

Abstract

The integration of Generative Artificial Intelligence (Gen-AI) in the Society 5.0 era has brought significant disruption to the global education landscape. At the elementary school level, institutional leaders often face gaps in official regulations that trigger restrictive rather than enabling policies. This study aims to analyze the role and digital leadership strategies of elementary school principals, identify systemic challenges and emerging supporting factors, and develop a conceptual framework for developing a safe, ethical, and innovative Gen-AI-based learning ecosystem. Using a descriptive qualitative approach with a single case study design, data collection was conducted at BINUS SCHOOL Semarang through triangulation techniques that included in-depth interviews with eight key informants (consisting of the principal, technology coordinator, four class teachers, and two parent representatives), passive participant observation, and analysis of formal school documents. The study results indicate that the digital leadership implemented in this school displays an adaptive profile (Enabling Leadership) through synchronization of the institution's vision, provision of ICT infrastructure based on content filtering, facilitation of digital pedagogical competency training, and regular updates to academic honesty guidelines. Furthermore, interactions within this ecosystem have resulted in the "BINUS Digital-Pedagogical Framework" model, which seeks to balance strategic alignment, streamline teacher administrative workloads (professional co-piloting), and limit the use of AI during the initial ideation stage (cognitive encapsulation) to protect students' original critical thinking. These findings are contextual to the characteristics of the schools studied. As a practical recommendation, elementary school principals can gradually adapt the principles of this framework through redesigning conceptual assessment tasks (AI-Resistant Tasks) and developing local SOPs with school committees to build a relevant and ethical digital citizenship curriculum.

Abstract

The government encourages vocational high schools (SMK) to carry out organizational transformation to become SMKs for Regional Public Service Bodies (SMK-BLUD). Through BLUDs, SMKs that have excellent products can manage finances and production processes more flexibly without violating regulations, so that entrepreneurial leadership effectiveness can be achieved. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the effectiveness of entrepreneurial leadership in vocational high schools using PLS-SEM analysis. Data was obtained by distributing questionnaires to 180 respondents, including teachers, school principals, and committee members at 23 SMK-BLUDs in East Java and the Special Region of Yogyakarta. It is known that the variables of regulation, teacher support, self-capacity, and infrastructure have a positive and significant influence on the quality of entrepreneurial leadership. In addition, the existence of partnerships for each school indirectly has a positive and significant influence on the quality of entrepreneurial leadership. The results of this model show a predictive relevance (Q2) value of 0.96, meaning that this model has good predictive relevance.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the trends, challenges, and necessary directions for educational leadership in Indonesia in facing the demands of the 21st Century, which are inclusive, innovative, and globally competitive. The research method used is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) which involves the synthesis of literature from various scientific databases. The review results indicate that global transformation, especially the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum (Independent Curriculum), positions the School Principal as the central driver of change, who is required to integrate technology with humanistic values and local context. Specifically, this review identifies that a hybrid leadership style that combines Digital Leadership and Transformational Leadership is the most crucial and needed style for fostering a culture of innovation and technological readiness in schools. This hybrid style is effective in activating coaching mechanisms that empower teachers. However, the findings also highlight a significant literature gap, particularly concerning effective and contextual Educational Leadership strategies in the 3T regions (Frontier, Outermost, Underdeveloped) and in Islamic educational institutions (Madrasahs), where infrastructure challenges and curriculum dualism require a different leadership model. The conclusion of this study confirms that future educational leadership must transcend administrative tasks and focus on a transformative function. Strengthening hybrid leadership that is responsive to Indonesia's diverse context is a critical investment to achieve the vision of Indonesia Emas 2045 (Golden Indonesia 2045).
