Abstract

The internet is an open global communications network that connects thousands of networks throughout the world. Internet use can now be accessed by all ages, from children, teenagers to adults. As a result, children use the internet more often at home than playing outside the home. The aim of this research is to determine the impact of excessive use of internet technology on the cognitive development and behavior of children in the family. The research method used is literature. Through this method, the author collects various national and international journal literature to study the concepts and theories contained therein. The research results show that excessive use of the internet, especially in multitasking media activities, can affect children's cognitive development in the form of poor focus performance in carrying out their tasks and easily distracted attention. Apart from that, the use of internet technology without supervision from parents has an impact on children's freedom of internet activities, which allows children to be exposed to content that is not appropriate for their age, such as cyber bullying, violent content and others. This can cause children to behave deviantly

Abstract

This study aims to explore the urgency of character education in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era, characterized by the rapid development of digital technologies such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things (IoT), and big data. These changes provide significant opportunities for educational innovation, but also give rise to new challenges, such as the degradation of students' character and the dominance of technical skills over moral values. Using a qualitative approach using literature study methods, this study analyzes theories, concepts, and research findings related to character education in the global and Indonesian contexts. The results show that character education is a key element in preparing the younger generation to face the social and ethical challenges presented by technology. Integrating values such as honesty, responsibility, empathy, and digital ethics into the curriculum is crucial for shaping individuals who are not only technically skilled but also possess a solid moral foundation. Character education acts as a moral bulwark that helps students overcome the negative impacts of technology, such as digital addiction and data misuse. In conclusion, character education should not be merely an addition to the curriculum, but must become a central pillar in shaping a generation ready to compete globally while upholding noble values. In the face of rapid change, character education must be strategically designed to strengthen individual moral identity and promote social harmony in the digital era.

Abstract

The development of technology in the 21st century is accompanied by the widespread use of digital technology to support human activities in various fields. Likewise in learning activities, the use of technology in learning is a necessity. Integration of technology in learning can be in the form of using technology as a learning medium in the form of digital modules. This study aims to analyze the effect of the independent flow strategy on the acceptance of website-based digital modules, as well as its effect on Effort Expectancy Behavior Intention (media use efforts) and Facilitating Condition (facilitating support). This study uses a quantitative approach with correlational survey methods and path analysis. Data was collected from 118 teachers in Bandung City. The results of the study indicate that the independent flow strategy has a positive and significant effect on the acceptance of website-based digital modules, Effort Expectancy Behavior Intention, and Facilitating Condition. This result is shown by looking at the 10 indicators that determine the acceptability of teaching materials and media. There are indicators of Effort Expectancy Behavior Intention (effort to use media) and Facilitating Condition (supporting facilities) that determine the acceptability and good influence on the media created. This finding shows that the independent flow strategy can increase the acceptance of website-based digital modules, motivate users to use media, and provide convenience for users in accessing and learning learning materials.

Abstract

Generation Alpha, born entirely within the digital ecosystem, faces unprecedented challenges in maintaining connection to local cultural heritage while navigating technology-saturated learning environments. This study explores how futuristic pedagogy can effectively cultivate love for local culture among Generation Alpha students in elementary education. A systematic literature review analyzed 47 peer-reviewed publications from 2020-2025, employing purposive sampling and Miles and Huberman's analytical framework comprising data collection, presentation, reduction, and conclusion drawing. Three critical findings emerged: futuristic pedagogy encompasses six interconnected elements balancing technological competencies with character development; Generation Alpha exhibits seven distinctive characteristics including productive global-local cultural tension; and technology-enhanced strategies, particularly augmented reality applications, effectively bridge digital engagement with cultural authenticity. Analysis revealed that successful cultural character education requires intentional integration of immersive technologies, gamified learning, digital storytelling, and collaborative projects that position students as cultural co-creators.  The findings reconceptualize cultural character education as digitally mediated process requiring strategic integration of technological, cultural, and developmental dimensions. While technology contributes to cultural displacement, appropriately designed digital learning experiences can serve as powerful tools for cultural preservation. Future research should conduct longitudinal studies establishing causal relationships and investigate adaptations for diverse Indonesian contexts.

Abstract

In the twenty-first century, globalization has the capacity to transform the structure of social life. These changes and advances continue to escalate, impacting all facets of existence. Accompanying these transformations are numerous additional challenges, particularly cultural dynamics where modern cultural values frequently conflict with local wisdom values. Furthermore, comprehension of local value systems, which are vital for life, is often neglected. Thus, the purpose of this article is to analyze various approaches that can be employed to address this issue through revitalization, utilizing Henry Giroux's critical pedagogical perspective. The research method employed is library research, exploring various relevant literature sources. The findings indicate that utilizing critical pedagogy to revive local wisdom values constitutes an appropriate step in confronting the era of globalization and resolving problems related to cultural dynamics. This revitalization is implemented in character education, where local wisdom values play a crucial role in the community's sustainability.

Abstract

The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology in the Society 5.0 era has a significant impact on various aspects of human life, particularly related to algorithmic bias, privacy, autonomy, and social justice. This study aims to analyze the moral implications of AI through a philosophy of science approach. The research method employs a descriptive qualitative approach with a literature review focusing on the analysis of literature related to ethics in AI development. The findings indicate that ensuring AI functions ethically in the Society 5.0 era requires a comprehensive and humanistic ethical framework. Responsible and sustainable AI development requires an emphasis on fundamental ethical principles such as fairness, transparency, accountability, and responsibility. Ethical theories such as utilitarianism, deontology, and virtue ethics provide guidance to ensure that AI is used fairly, inclusively, and beneficially for all of society. This study also demonstrates that the implementation of AI without ethical considerations and adequate regulation can lead to negative impacts such as exacerbating social inequality, compromising individual privacy, and threatening personal freedom.
