Abstract

The development research method can simply be defined as a research method that is intentional, systematic, aimed/directed to find, formulate, improve, develop, produce, test the effectiveness of products, models, methods/strategies/means, services.This research will start from August 2021 – September 2021 at the Automotive Engineering Workshop, Faculty of Engineering, Padang State University.Based on the results of the research that the author has done, it can be obtained that this research has produced a valid and effective periodic part replacement indicator tool for motorbike vehicles by applying a microcontroller, RTC, and SD card Module and SD Card as data storage for motorbike mileage so that it is known the age of the part from the results of the mileage measurement. So this tool is valid and functions as planned by previous researchers, and the tool is effective because it doesn't affect other systems, both mechanical and electrical. This tool has a power supply or current source from the battery, so the tool requires to be turned on and off manually.Keywords: Design; Part Change Indicator; Motorcycle

Abstract

The scarcity of employment is what spurred this investigation. the high unemployment rate, the limited interest in business among many graduates of technical schools. The purpose of the study was to determine how much the creative product and entrepreneurship majors (MPPKKJ) classes at SMK Negeri 2 Payakumbuh affected students in Class XI Automotive Engineering's motivation in starting their own business. This study is an example of a quantitative correlational study. 54 pupils were chosen at random from a population of 105 students. Microsoft Excel 2010 was used to input the data, and SPSS version 16 was utilised to analyse it. 88.94% of the study data for variable (X) fell into the good category, whereas 90.54% of the data for variable (Y) fell into the very excellent category. Testing the correlation theory produced results in the reasonably high category of Rcount 0.652 > Rtable 0.263. According to the findings of the t-test, MPPKKJ and interest in entrepreneurship are positively correlated (Tcount 6.2 > Ttable 1.674). The results showed that the MPPKKJ variable contributed 41.4% to interest in entrepreneurship, whereas 58.6% was impacted by other variables. Keywords: Creative Product Subject and Entrepreneurship Department, Interest in Entrepreneurship

Abstract

All in-person learning has been replaced with online learning as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia. During the Covid-19 emergency, this aims to fulfill students' rights to obtain education-related services. In the Heavy Equipment Technology course, the purpose of this study is to determine whether assignment-based learning and the use of e-learning media can improve student learning outcomes. In this study, correlational quantitative research of this kind was used. From a total of 124 students, 55 were selected at random. SPSS version 20 is used for analysis in this study, and Windows 10 is used to enter data. The research data for variable (X) account for 94.3 percent of the total. The variable (Y) is included in the very good category for 92.7 percent of the research data. Rcount 0.384 > Rtable 0.261 were the positive category results from correlation theory testing. The t test shows a positive correlation between the application of e-learning learning media and assignment strategies (Tcount 1.906 > Ttable 1.673). The findings demonstrated that the variable of instructional media application with assignment-based learning contributed 13.1%, while other variables influenced 86.9%.Keywords: e learning, Assignment Learning Methods, Learning Results.

Abstract

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah ditemukan di lapangan adanya siswa kelas XII TKR SMK N 1 SUMATERA BARAT yang memperoleh hasil belajar di bawah standar kriteria ketuntasan minimal (KKM). Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif korelasional. Teknik pengambilan sampel penelitian ini adalah simple random sampling. Sampel penelitian adalah 36 orang siswa kelas XII. Data dianalisis menggunakan Microsoft Excel 2007 dan Program SPSS versi 16.0 Berdasarkan analisis data hasil penelitian diperoleh koefisien korelasi r hitung˃r tabel (0,459˃0,329) dan untuk uji keberartian korelasi didapat t hitung˂ t tabel (3.013 ˃ 2,032) pada taraf signifikan 5%. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara lingkungan belajar dalam kelas dengan hasil belajar siswa pada Mata Pelajaran Sistem Pengapian kelas XII Teknik Kendaraan Ringan di SMKN 1 SumateraBarat. Adanya kontribusi Lingkungan belajar dalam kelas terhadap hasil belajar siswa sebesar 45,9 %.

Abstract

The limitations of teaching materials are not equipped with motivating content and inappropriate learning strategies, which make students feel difficult in mastering the competencies they need. The purpose of this present study is to test the level of validity of the product developed in the form of a learning module. The development procedure used is the ADDIE model. Research data was obtained through observation, interviews, and research questionnaires. The research questionnaire is used to obtain the validity value of the product being developed. The validity test was carried out in the development phase, for this reason, this research stage describes only the development phase. Validity test data was obtained by distributing questionnaires to 5 expert validators consisting of 2 expert lecturers and 3 productive teachers. The results of the study show that teaching materials developed on a project basis have a valid category. Product development will continue with revisions provided by a team of experts. The steps to be taken after the validation stage are the practicality and effectiveness of the product being developed. Teachers can also develop and arrange teaching materials so that the use of this product is not limited to the competencies that are developed. There is a need for further research regarding the development of teaching materials to create teaching materials that can motivate students in learning.

Abstract

Banyaknya masyarakat yang mengganti knalpot standar dengan knalpot racing, Agar menambah akselerasi dan performa pada sepeda motor mereka. Hasil pengujian perbandingan knalpot standar dengan knalpot racing terhadap Back Pressure. Pada penggunaan knalpot standar hasil nya 6,3 Psi, Apabila Rpm semakin besar, sama besar nya back pressure yang dikeluarkan. sedangkan penggunaan knalpot racing hasilnya 1,5 Psi. Semakin besar Rpm, semakin kecil back pressure yang di keluarkan. Untuk perbandingan knalpot standar hasilnya 95,76℃ sedangkan knalpot racing hasilnya 113,23℃ terhadap temperature. Pada penggunaan knalpot racing dapat menaikkan suhu mesin. apabila pemakaian knalpot racing. Pada perbandingan knalpot standar hasilnya 73,03(db) dengan knalpot racing hasilnya 93,67 (db) terhadap suara. suara yang dihasilkan oleh knalpot standar lebih kecil dari pada knalpot racing. Many people replace standard exhausts with racing exhausts, in order to increase acceleration and performance on their motorbikes. The results of testing the comparison of standard exhaust with racing exhaust against Back Pressure. When using a standard exhaust, the result is 6.3 Psi. If the Rpm is greater, the back pressure will be the same. while using a racing exhaust the result is 1.5 Psi. The greater the Rpm, the smaller the back pressure that is issued. For comparison, standard exhaust results are 95.76 ℃ while racing exhaust results are 113.23℃ to temperature. In the use of racing exhaust can increase engine temperature. when using racing exhaust. In comparison with the standard exhaust the result is 73.03 (db) with a racing exhaust the result is 93.67 (db) to sound. The sound produced by a standard exhaust is smaller than a racing exhaust.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif korelasi dengan pendekatan kuantitatif yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui Tingkat pengetahuan K3, dan kedisiplinan siswa kelas XI TKR dalam melaksanakan praktikum, Pengaruh pengetahuan K3 terhadap kedisiplinan siswa saat melaksanakan praktikum di bengkel otomotif SMK Negeri 5 Padang. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes dan kuesioner/angket. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah Analisis deskripsi data dan analisis statistik inferensial. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh, 1) Tingkat pengetahuan K3 berada dalam kategori cukup dengan persentase 77,30% 2) Tingkat kedisiplinan siswa dalam melaksanakan praktikum dinilai memuaskan atau baik dengan persentase 82,56% 3) Tidak terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara pengetahuan K3 terhadap kedisiplinan siswa dalam melaksanakan praktikum dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0.564 karena 0.564 > 0.05.  This research is a descriptive correlational research with a quantitative approach which aims to determine the level of K3 knowledge, and the discipline of class XI TKR students in carrying out practicums. Data collection techniques used are tests and questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is data description analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The research results obtained, 1) The level of K3 knowledge is in the sufficient category with a percentage of 77.30% 2) The level of discipline of students in carrying out practicums is considered satisfactory or good with a percentage of 82.56% 3) There is no significant effect between OSH knowledge on discipline students in carrying out practical work with a significance value of 0.564 because 0.564 > 0.05.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi banyaknya kendaraan dengan usia pakai dan pola perawatan yang tidak rutin yang berakibat turunannya performa dan emisi yang meningkat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan Turbo Cyclone terhadap performa kendaraan serta simulasi bentuk aliran udara yang melewati Turbo Cyclone. Peneliti menggunakan variasi berupa Turbo Cyclone merek Jet Ranger dan JSC. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen yang dilakukan 3 kali pengujian pada masing – masing variabel, kendaraan yang digunakan yaitu Honda Beat PGM-FI. Variabel penelitian yaitu Turbo Cyclone Jet Ranger dan Turbo Cyclone JSC, performa kendaraan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, penggunaan Turbo Cyclone menyebabkan torsi dan daya maksimum berkurang jika. Emisi gas buang menggunakan Turbo Cyclone Jet Ranger dan tanpa Turbo Cyclone. Penggunaan bahan bakar spesifik terbaik dengan memasang Turbo Cyclone JSC. The background of this research is the large number of vehicles with long service life and non-routine maintenance patterns which result in decreased performance and increased emissions. This study aims to determine the effect of using a Turbo Cyclone on vehicle performance and to simulate the shape of the airflow passing through the Turbo Cyclone. The researcher used variations in the form of Turbo Cyclone, Jet Ranger and JSC brands. This study used an experimental method which was tested 3 times on each variable, the vehicle used was the Honda Beat PGM-FI. The research variables are Turbo Cyclone Jet Ranger and Turbo Cyclone JSC, vehicle performance. The results showed that the use of Turbo Cyclone causes maximum torque and power to decrease if. Exhaust emissions use Turbo Cyclone Jet Ranger and without Turbo Cyclone. Best use of specific fuel by installing Turbo Cyclone JSC.

Abstract

Banyak siswa yang belum mengenali minat yang dimilikinya ditunjukkan dengan minimnya perhatian dan keseriusan siswa dalam melakukan kegiatan praktek dan belajar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana hubungan antara minat mekanik otomotif terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran perawatan mesin kendaraan ringan kelas XI Teknik Kendaraan Ringan SMK Negeri 1 Lintau Buo. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif jenis korelasional. Diketahui adanya hubungan yang positif antara minat mekanik otomotif dengan hasil belajar siswa, ditunjukkan dengan nilai sig nya 0.424 > 0.05 dengan nilai r tabel berdasarkan pedoman derajat hubungan sebesar 0.113 berada diantara 0.00-0.200 yang artinya sangat kurang. Berdasarkan rumus koefisien determinan didapatkan 12,57% yang artinya besarnya kontribusi minat mekanik otomotif terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata diklat pemeliharaan mesin kendaraan ringan adalah sebesar 12,57%.  Many students who do not recognize their interests are shown by the lack of attention and seriousness of students in carrying out practical and learning activities. The purpose of this study is to find out how the relationship between automotive mechanical interest in student learning outcomes in the subject of light vehicle engine maintenance class XI Light Vehicle Engineering SMK Negeri 1 Lintau Buo. This study used a descriptive method of correlational type. It is known that there is a positive relationship between the interest of automotive mechanics and student learning outcomes, indicated by the sig value of 0.424 > 0.05 with the table r value based on the guidelines of the degree of relationship of 0.113 being between 0.00-0.200 which means it is very lacking. Based on the determinant coefficient formula, 12.57% was obtained, which means that the amount of contribution of automotive mechanical interest to student learning outcomes in the eyes of light vehicle engine maintenance training is 12.57%.
