Abstract

Background. The characteristics and achievements of each student are different. This is influenced by the methods, interests, talents, media, sources, environment, and even strategies of the students themselves. A blanded learning method that combines traditional classroom learning with online-based learning can make a big impact in the world of education. It will provide opportunities for students to learn with more flexibility. It also creates a more engaging learning experience. Purpose This study aims to find out how much the use of blended learning method affects students' achievement. This achievement is more specific to mathematics learning. This is because there are often difficulties in understanding mathematics learning by students. Therefore, the blended learning method is considered to be able to influence learning, especially mathematics. Method. The method used in this research is quantitative. This method is considered suitable as a measuring tool. This is because the effect of using the blanded learning method on student achievement can be measured by a number scale. So that it can be read or understood through graphs, percentages, or data processing. Research using quantitative methods that have the characteristics of using numbers will be more in line with this research. Results. The result of this study explains that the use of blanded learning method will affect students' achievement in learning mathematics. The blanded learning method that combines traditional and online-based learning will enrich the learning experience. Not only that, this method will also provide a combination of different methods, media, sources, environments, and even learning strategies. Conclusion This research can be concluded that the use of blanded learning method will provide innovation in learning. It will support different ways of learning from students. In addition, it will also help teachers in the flexibility of organising learning time. On the other hand, it will also help students who have difficulty in following face-to-face learning.

Abstract

Background:Social media is a digital platform that allows users to carry out social activities and communicate. Likewise in education, the impact of using social media in the learning process has various impacts. Although social media can increase student motivation and broaden horizons, social media can also make student behavior deviant. Research purposes:This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the impact of using social media in the learning process, namely to understand how the use of social media affects students' social interactions. Does this influence have a positive or negative impact? Method:In conducting this research, researchers used quantitative methods in carrying out the research. The data obtained by the researcher was obtained through distributing questionnaires presented by the researcher via a goggle from application. The distribution of this questionnaire is carried out by researchers online, and then the results of the distribution of this questionnaire will be processed using an SPSS application. Results:From this research conducted, researchers can conclude the research results that the use of social media can help students in the learning process and increase knowledge. However, its use can also cause students' social behavior to become deviant, such as excessive use of social media, laziness in studying, irregular allocation of time for studying, and so on. Conclusion:Based on the results of this research which discusses the impact of using social media in the learning process on social media interactions, social media has advantages and disadvantages in its use. However, students must be able to use social media wisely, so that deviant behavior does not occur in using social media

Abstract

A smartphone is a telephone that is equipped with an internet connection and provides Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) functions such as a calendar, agenda book, calculator, notes, and various sophisticated applications to assist with daily activities. The sophistication and convenience provided by smartphones today causes many people to be trapped in always using smartphones. Excessive smartphone use can have unwanted negative impacts, especially on the health of its users. One of the negative impacts of smartphone use is the disruption of sleep quality. Smartphone use at bedtime can affect sleep quality to be poor, sleep efficiency decreases, and the onset of sleep becomes longer. Smartphones can be habit-forming, in the form of checking habits, repeated checks and the speed of accessing various content using smartphones can affect the increase in smartphone use or addiction. Objective The research was to identify the relationship between smartphone use and sleep quality in adolescents at Senior High School Negeri 1 seram . This research method uses quantitative research with descriptive analytic with Cross Sectional approach. A sample of 213 respondents, using the technique simple random sampling. Analysis data by using the chi square test. The results of the study were based on the chi-square statistical test which refers to the Fisher's Exact Test value, which obtained a p.value of 0.000 where <0.05 indicated that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted, which means that there is a relationship between smartphone use and sleep quality in adolescents at Senior High School Negeri 1.

Abstract

Occupational health and safety K3 ensures that people are not injured or become sick due to hazards in the workplace. ensuring that preventing the risk of frequent industrial accidents and diseases that cause the loss of workers' lives and or affect employee performance. K3 is a science that focuses on ensuring safety in the workplace. Occupational safety and health (K3) is defined as the science and application of technology regarding the prevention of work accidents and occupational diseases. By providing OSH protection, it is expected that workers can work safely, healthily and productively. Research purposes. To find out health and safety K3 on employee performance in the workplace. Method. Descriptive with observational cohort. Prospective. Results. Knowing the level of occupational health and safety K3 on employee performance at work. Conclusion. Therefore, it can be concluded that in occupational health and safety risks of OSH to improve the safety of health workers, which includes various occupational risk factors in the workplace, provide refresher training and routine induction training on OSH and use personal protective equipment (PPE). To ensure safety and health in the sector prioritizing the health of workers.

Abstract

Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is a mental disorder related to seasonal changes that occur during winter due to lack of exposure to sunlight. Light therapy has become a focus in treating depressive symptoms in sufferers of Seasonal Affective Disorder. However, more in-depth research is still needed to clarify the effect of light therapy in reducing symptoms of depression in sufferers of Seasonal Affective Disorder. This study aims to explore the effect of light therapy on reducing depressive symptoms in sufferers of Seasonal Affective Disorder and to provide scientific evidence that can support the use of light therapy as an effective treatment method. This research method uses a randomized controlled clinical study design involving adult participants who have been diagnosed with Seasonal Affective Disorder. Participants were divided into two groups, one group received light therapy for a certain period of time, while the control group received usual treatment. Depressive symptoms were evaluated before, during, and after the intervention using proven rating scales. The results showed that participants who received light therapy experienced a significant reduction in depressive symptoms compared to the control group. Light therapy has consistently been shown to improve mood and energy and reduce symptoms of depression in people with Seasonal Affective Disorder. The conclusion of this study shows that light therapy has a positive influence in reducing symptoms of depression in sufferers of Seasonal Affective Disorder. The use of light therapy as a non-pharmacological intervention can be an effective and relatively safe therapeutic option to reduce the impact of Seasonal Affective Disorder on an individual's well-being. Thus, light therapy can be integrated as part of the treatment for sufferers of Seasonal Affective Disorder.

Abstract

One of the technological developments in the world of health is Telemedicine technology. Telemedicine technology has become an innovative solution in providing medical services, including in the emergency department. Telemedicine technology is a concept that combines information and communication technology with healthcare, enabling remote interactions between healthcare providers and patients. This study aims to analyze the use of telemedicine technology in emergency services, identify its benefits, and evaluate its impact on the efficiency and quality of patient care. The research method used is a literature study that analyzes scientific articles, research reports, and official documents related to the implementation of telemedicine in the context of emergency services. The research results show that the use of telemedicine technology in emergency services has increased the accessibility of care, accelerated diagnosis and medical intervention, and reduced response time to emergency cases. Telemedicine also facilitates inter-spatial consultations between doctors and medical personnel, enabling faster and more precise decision-making. In some cases, telemedicine has been successful in reducing the number of visits to brick-and-mortar emergency departments, reducing the burden on the health system, and improving the patient experience by providing easier and faster access to medical services. However, challenges faced include the security of patient data, the required technological infrastructure, and unequal access to technology across regions. In conclusion, the use of telemedicine technology in emergency services has great potential to improve the efficiency and quality of patient care, but efforts are needed to overcome technical, regulatory and data security challenges for its implementation to be successful and sustainable.

Abstract

The growing concern over employee productivity and job satisfaction has led organizations to focus on welfare programs as a strategic tool. In many companies, these programs are designed to enhance employees’ well-being, which is expected to boost productivity and job satisfaction. However, the effectiveness of these programs remains a topic of debate. This research examines employee welfare programs’ impact on productivity and job satisfaction within various organizational settings. The study utilizes a quantitative approach, employing surveys and questionnaires distributed to 200 employees from diverse industries. Data were analyzed using statistical methods, particularly regression analysis, to determine the correlation between the presence of welfare programs and improvements in productivity and job satisfaction. The findings reveal that companies offering comprehensive welfare programs, such as health benefits, flexible working hours, and professional development opportunities, see significant improvements in employee productivity and job satisfaction. Moreover, employees who feel supported by these programs are likelier to exhibit higher organizational engagement and commitment. In conclusion, welfare programs play a crucial role in enhancing not only productivity but also the overall job satisfaction of employees. Organizations are encouraged to invest in such programs as a long-term strategy for workforce development and retention.

Abstract

Learning media is one of the most important parts that affects the success of the student learning process. The selection and utilization of appropriate and interesting media will have a positive impact on the success of student learning. However, the utilization of learning media, especially those based on information and communication technology for learning Arabic, is still not widely found and is rarely done. The purpose of this study was conducted to determine the effect of using kahoot media at State Senior High School 4 Jakarta. The method used in this research is quantitative method with survey technique using questionnaire instrument, 10th grade students of State Senior High School 4 Jakarta totaling 50 people as subjects in this study. This research technique aims to determine whether kahoot media has an effect on Arabic language skills by using kahoot media through cellphones. This learning is done using a cellphone because material from printed books has been used as a source by educators. Teachers are expected to be able to utilizing learning media as a means of supporting teaching and learning activities to create interactive learning for students so as to improve students' ability to understand lessons delivered by an educator which will affect learning outcomes. Based on the results of this study, it can be seen that the use of learning media games for students can be applied in the learning process and for further researchers can use this learning media in Arabic subjects.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate how effective the repetition drill technique is in improving the speaking ability of the 2022–2023 Second Semester Electrical Engineering students at Cilacap State Polytechnic. The study was conducted using a classroom action research technique, and 23 students participated as study participants. A pretest was administered to find out what obstacles the students faced, and the average score was 39.67. Data were collected using an oral exam over three study cycles. The average score of the students in the first cycle, conducted on March 21, 2023, was 46.73. Next, the average score of the students for the second test conducted on March 22, 2023, was 67.93. On March 24, 2023, the average score for Cycle 3 students would be 82.06. The student's average score improves on rounds 1–3. The student's speaking ability improves gradually. This is confirmed by the post-test results obtained in the categories of 'good' and 'excellent' after 3 cycles of review exercises in English practice class. Students' pronunciation and language skills improves significantly. In summary, this study proved that repetition drill techniques can be used very effectively in English practice courses.

Abstract

Along with the times of technology in the field of education, there are many updates in the use of learning media, one example is by using the Quizizz application. The Quizizz application really helps teachers in the teaching and learning process. The Quizizz application has many interesting features, and makes learning more fun. This quizizz application is one of the learning media chosen by teachers to carry out the learning process in early childhood. The purpose of this study was to determine how much impact quizizz learning media has on increasing early childhood learning interest and motivation. This study uses a skinative method in which the data is obtained through the introduction of the quizizz application to early childhood and direct interviews with several parties such as teachers and parents of children. The results showed that the use of the Quizizz application in early childhood was carried out well starting from the planning, implementation, and evaluation stages. From this research it can be concluded that this quizizz application is very helpful in the learning process of children so that children more quickly understand the lessons conveyed by the teacher and with interesting features can also make children's learning motivation increase. The limitation of this research is that researchers only conduct research on early childhood quizizz applications even though there are still many applications that can be used to provide learning motivation in early childhood. Researchers hope that future researchers can conduct research related to early childhood learning motivation but using other learning media. This study recommends that future researchers make research as a reference in conducting research on the impact of quizizz applications in increasing early childhood learning motivation.
