Abstract

The phenomenon of high interest in limited edition collection products such as Labubu dolls has encouraged the emergence of marketing strategies based on innovation, celebrity promotion, and consumer psychological effects. This study aims to determine the effect of product innovation, celebrity endorsement, and Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) on purchasing decisions of Labubu doll buyers in Surabaya City. This study uses a quantitative approach with an explanatory type that aims to explain the relationship between variables through hypothesis testing. The number of samples was determined based on the Rambut formula with a total of 100 respondents selected using the purposive sampling method. Data analysis was carried out with the help of SmartPLS 4 software. The results of the study showed that partially, the third independent variable, namely product innovation, celebrity endorsement, and Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) had a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions. Simultaneously, all three also had a significant effect on consumer decisions. This study shows that the combination of the appeal of innovative products, promotion through public figures, and psychological pressure not to be left behind by trends are important factors in driving purchasing decisions on collectible doll products.

Abstract

This study explores the potential of breadfruit leaves (Artocarpus altilis) as a raw material in making skin care soap. Breadfruit leaves are known to contain active compounds such as saponins and flavonoids that have antibacterial, antiviral, and antioxidant properties. This study aims to test the effectiveness of breadfruit leaf extract in improving the quality of skin care soap. In addition, this study also highlights the use of breadfruit trees at SDN Kutisari 2 Surabaya, which is one of the Adiwiyata schools. This school utilizes the environment as a means of learning and maintaining the existence of plants, including breadfruit trees, which function as a source of food and traditional medicine. The results showed that soap with breadfruit leaf extract had better cleaning quality and hydrating ability compared to soap without extract. These findings indicate that breadfruit leaves can be a useful ingredient in making skin care products, as well as providing inspiration for the development of more natural and effective soap products, and supporting efforts to conserve natural resources in the school environment.

Abstract

Society 5.0 demands computational thinking (CT) skills among university students, particularly prospective economics teachers. This study examines how pedagogical competence and scientific capability key competencies of pre-service teachers influence CT, with locus of control (LOC) as a mediator. Data were collected via cross sectional survey from 375 economics education students (semester 5-8) across five Indonesian state universities (Java region) using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) grounded in Rotter's LOC theory (1966) and Bandura's Social Cognitive Theory (1997). Findings reveal pedagogical competence (β=0.929, p<0.01) and scientific capability (β=0.148, p<0.05) significantly predict CT directly, while LOC partially mediates both relationships (H6: β=1.820, p<0.001; H7: β=0.148, p<0.01). This study offers novel theoretical contributions by validating LOC mediation in non-STEM economics education context, unique to Indonesia's collectivist culture. Practically, findings inform teacher education programs (PPG/PGS) to integrate CT pedagogy modules that target the development of internal LOC in learning, and prepare educators to face the challenges of the digital economy.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted learning activities in universities and schools temporarily stopping face-to-face learning, especially in Indonesia. Instead, learning is conducted remotely online. The application of online learning requires the readiness of several parties, from the provision of infrastructure to the students' side. The problem of cost, the readiness of educators and students in using technology is still the reason online learning can be carried out after the Covid19 pandemic in an effort to integrate technology in the world of education. How do we optimize the quality of Education through online learning. The research is aimed at knowing the effectiveness of online learning in learning media courses in the midst of a pandemic. It also includes planning, implementing, evaluating, as well as obstacles and how to overcome them. This research was conducted with a qualitative descriptive method. This study will describe the problems and solutions that occur in online learning so that the effectiveness of its implementation can be determined and recommendations for the feasibility of online learning can be determined in the future. Data collection techniques were carried out by documentary studies, observations, and interviews. The results showed that learning from semi-practical courses was running effectively. Various problems that become the issue of the weakness of online learning are solved by government policies, campus facilities and services that are able to support the achievement of learning objectives even in semi-practical courses.

Abstract

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in entrepreneurship education has expanded rapidly following the launch of ChatGPT however, empirical evidence regarding its effectiveness and implementation challenges remains fragmented. This study synthesizes empirical evidence on AI integration in entrepreneurship education through a systematic literature review following PRISMA 2020 guidelines. A Scopus database search yielded 186 articles, with 25 empirical studies meeting inclusion criteria. Findings reveal neural networks and generative AI as dominant technologies, with neural networks applied in nearly half of the studies and generative AI in more than a quarter. Experiential learning emerged as the most effective pedagogical approach. Entrepreneurial self-efficacy was confirmed as a key mediator between AI and entrepreneurial intention, with consistently strong path coefficients and large effect sizes across studies. AI integration consistently enhanced entrepreneurial intention, self-efficacy, and knowledge acquisition. However, a notable decline in self-perceived creativity indicates potential deskilling risk. Primary challenges include limited technical infrastructure, faculty readiness, and ethical concerns. The concentration of studies in China constrains cross-cultural generalizability. This study proposes the Integrated AI-Entrepreneurship Education Model (IAEEM) as a conceptual framework and provides practical recommendations for higher education institutions to optimize AI integration while mitigating potential risks in developing students' entrepreneurial competencies effectively.
