Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

This study addresses the limitations of campus service evaluation processes that are still conducted manually and are unable to optimally process students’ textual opinions. The objective of this research is to analyze and compare the performance of the K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) and BERT algorithms in classifying student sentiments toward campus services. The research stages include text preprocessing, the generation of IndoBERT embeddings for the KNN model, and fine-tuning IndoBERT for direct sentiment classification. The dataset consists of student evaluation texts from the Faculty of Engineering at UNSULBAR, labeled as negative, neutral, and positive sentiments. Model evaluation is performed using accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score metrics. The results show that the basic KNN model achieves an accuracy of 79%, while KNN with hyperparameter tuning improves performance to 86%. The BERT model delivers the best performance, achieving an accuracy of 88.68%, precision of 87.87%, recall of 90.19%, and an F1-score of 88.79%. These findings indicate that transformer-based approaches, particularly IndoBERT, are more effective in understanding the contextual nuances of student language than traditional methods, and are therefore more recommended for sentiment analysis implementation in campus service evaluation.

Abstract

This study aims to develop Islamic Education learning media using animated videos for elementary school students. The objectives are to: (1) identify the development stages of an animated video themed on sincerity for fifth-grade students; (2) evaluate its validity; and (3) assess its practicality in classroom use. The research employed a Research and Development (RD) approach using the ADDIE model. The study involved Islamic Education teachers and fifth-grade students. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and questionnaires for expert validators, teachers, and students, as well as documentation. The results indicate that the animated video was developed in accordance with the ADDIE stages. The analysis revealed limited use of instructional media. In the design and development phases, materials were prepared, and the video was produced. It was then validated by experts and tested by users. The media was rated highly valid with a score of 89.15%, and its practicality was rated at 94.5% based on feedback from teachers and students. These findings suggest that the media has strong potential as a practical learning tool. It is recommended that teachers receive training in instructional media development and that animated videos be effectively integrated into the curriculum. Future studies should investigate broader applications and the long-term effects on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Implementation of the Integrated Primary Health Care Information System (IPCIS) in integrated community health posts (posyandu) is influenced by various factors, including technical aspects, human resources, policies, and data governance. Given the diverse field conditions, the impact of each factor can vary, so it is important to understand the relative importance of each criterion. This study aims to determine the weight of the criteria that influence the implementation of IPCIS in posyandu. Ten people answered the questions correctly (out of 22 respondents), including cadres, sub-district staff, and health workers from Tirtorahayu Village. Respondent preferences were collected using three approaches: rank-based aggregation (Borda, Condorcet, Copeland), score-based aggregation (average), and voting-based aggregation (plurality and majority) to obtain the criteria weights (w) and a comparative analysis between the approaches. The findings demonstrate that the IPCIS criteria for security and protection of personal data were consistently given the highest weights. In the ranking-based aggregation approaches (w_Borda=0.11, w_Condorcet=0.20, w_Copeland=0.19). In score-based aggregation approaches (w=0.11). In voting-based aggregation approaches (w=0.15). It is indicating a strong group consensus regarding the importance of these aspects in IPCIS implementation. The combination of ranking-based and score-based aggregation resulted in stable IPCIS implementation criterion weights that reflected group consensus, with voting-based aggregation acting as validation. The practical implication is that the obtained weighted criteria can be used as a basis for determining program priorities and resource allocation when implementing IPCIS.

Abstract

Objective: This study aimed to develop and analyze the effectiveness of Augmented Reality (AR)-based learning media for computer network topics at the junior high school level. The background of this research is based on students’ difficulties in understanding abstract computer network concepts when taught using conventional methods. Method: The research employed a Research and Development approach using the ADDIE model, which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. AR learning media were developed using paper-based markers that can be scanned via smartphones to display interactive three-dimensional representations of computer network components. Result: The research subjects were ninth-grade students and information and communication technology teachers. Data were collected through observations, questionnaires, and learning outcome assessments. The results indicate that the AR-based learning media were validated by material and media experts and were considered practical for classroom implementation. Furthermore, AR media significantly improved students’ conceptual understanding and learning engagement compared to conventional instructional methods. Novelty: This study introduces innovation through the development of AR learning media that transform abstract concepts of computer networks, which are usually difficult to visualize, into interactive three-dimensional objects that can be directly manipulated by students. Unlike previous research that generally targets higher education or general hardware materials, this study specifically integrates the junior high school informatics curriculum with an ADDIE-based instructional design that emphasizes active engagement and conceptual understanding of students through personal mobile devices.
