Abstract

Karya sastra merupakan media untuk menggambarkan atau merepresentasikan isu-isu yang ada di realitas sosial. Salah satu media sastra yang berfungsi sebagai refleksi sosial adalah film. Film memiliki tanda serta simbol yang di dalamnya seringkali terkandung makna atau maksud tertentu, dan hal tersebut dapat dianalisis menggunakan semiotika. Salah satu film yang mengandung isu-isu sosial adalah film Cinta Tapi Beda (2012). Penulis menggunakan teori semiotika Saussure untuk menganalisis tanda dan simbol yang ada dalam film ini. Dengan teori tersebut, penulis menemukan simbol-simbol terkait isu perbedaan agama, diantaranya pasangan beda Agama, diskriminasi Agama, dan pluralisme Agama. Untuk menganalisis hal tersebut, peneliti menggunakan metode kualitatif deksriptif serta analisis isi. Adapun teori yang digunakan yaitu teori Agama dan kepercayaan oleh Durkheim, teori dari Hercock mengenai diskriminasi Agama, dan teori dari Diana L. Eck mengenai pluralisme. Didapatkan 2 scene yang menyimbolkan perbedaan Agama, 3 scene diskriminasi Agama, serta 4 scene yang menyimbolkan pluralisme Agama.

Abstract

This study aims to discuss sima'an especially Sima'an at the Tahfidz Alif Islamic Boarding School. The method used in this research is qualitative in nature with library research, namely finding sources from written materials with a historical approach. The results of the discussion of this study include the understanding and history of Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia, the meaning of sima'an, and the function of implementing sima'an in Islamic boarding schools. This study concludes that sima'an al-Qur'an at the Tahfidz Alif Islamic boarding school has been going on since the establishment of the pesantren in 2009. The background of the students comes from different universities and different faculties. Sima'an for students of the Tahfidz Alif Islamic Boarding School has a religious function which can be seen from the position of the Qur'an for Muslims themselves as a guide or guideline for Muslims to carry out their religious activities. However, as much as 10.3% of students did not feel that sima'an motivated them to become hafidzah. Keywords: tasmi Al-Qur'an, students

Abstract

This paper attempts to picture the shift in discourse on gender relations in interpretive thinking in Indonesia by bringing together the interpretations of 'Abd al-Rauf Singkel, Hamka and M. Quraish Shihab. The selection of the three commentators was motivated by the difference in the period of writing the interpretations of the three. From this analysis, it is known that the interpretations of these three commentators on gender verses have points of similarities and differences. The interpretation of 'Abd al-Rauf Singkel in general follows the flow of traditional interpretations but his views are more moderate and tolerant, as seen in the issue of the origin of events and women's leadership. The shift in gender relations discourse is more visible in the interpretations of Hamka and M. Quraish Shihab. It seems to have its own interpretation, which does not fully follow the currents of traditional or contemporary commentators' views. This research is explored by comparative interpretation using critical discourse analysis method. From this research, it is found that modern and contemporary interpretations in Indonesia are more assertive in carrying out the discourse on Gender Equality Relations

Abstract

Artikel ini mengkaji fenomena jimat dalam masyarakat Islam. Tujuannya adalah untuk mengeksplorasi ayat-ayat Al-Qur'an tertentu yang digunakan dalam jimat-jimat tersebut dan bagaimana masyarakat memaknainya. Temuan penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa jimat-jimat yang digunakan oleh individu Muslim sangat beragam, termasuk jimat-jimat untuk perlindungan dari entitas gaib atau jin, jimat-jimat untuk keamanan rumah, jimat-jimat untuk kekebalan, jimat-jimat untuk transaksi bisnis, dan bahkan jimat-jimat untuk pengayaan tanah. Ayat-ayat dan surah yang paling umum digunakan dari Al-Qur'an meliputi Surah al-Fatihah, Ayat al-Kursi, Surah Yasin, Surah as-Syuara, Surah Taha ayat 39, Surah al-Ikhlas, al-Falaq, dan an-Nas. Praktik ini sering digabungkan dengan unsur budaya lokal seperti slametan dan pos mutih. Jimat memiliki makna penting bagi masyarakat Muslim.

Abstract

This research is presented with a study of the jalalyn interpretation presented by Gus Baha through the YouTube channel. Massive use of new media is increasingly difficult to control which results in various new problems, namely the competence of a mufassir (whether or not it is appropriate to interpret the Qur'an) as well as problems related to effectiveness in conveying the contents of his verses which are prone to deviations due to technological developments. The method used in this study is qualitative with virtual ethnographic characteristics, namely by collecting various data from the internet, namely YouTube. The interpretation theory used by Gus Baha is that which was initiated by al-Farmawi and Nasharuddin Baidan and then reviewed with semiotics using Charles Pierce's theory. The tahlili method and the fiqh style are the methods used by Gus Baha in interpreting them. The research results in this case show various symbols that explain from one word to another with meanings that become long resulting in an understanding of the science of fiqh. When Gus Baha mentions this verse, it enters the object symbolThis research is expected to add to the body of knowledge for readers as well as if deficiencies are found it can be perfected and corrected in subsequent research.

Abstract

The study of this research is about the meaning and structure that exist in the Al-Qur'an Musabaqah festival in Indonesia with the analytical knife using Rolland Barthes' semiotic theory. In his semiotic analysis, Rolland Barthes describes the meaning of denotation, connotative meaning and myths regarding the meaning and structure of the Musabaqah recitations of the Qur'an which are contained in the Musabaqah Al-Qur'an festival in Indonesia, to be precise taking samples from one of the participants in the Musabaqah Recitations of the Koran at the West Java level in 2023. The research method used by the author is a qualitative-interpretive method with data collection techniques, namely documentation by searching, collecting and compiling data from various sources that are relevant to research-related problems. As for the results of Rolland Barthes's semiotic study on the meaning and structure of the recitations of the Qur'an Musabaqah recitations of the Qur'an in Indonesia, the writer found several symbols which include: praying, reciting isti'adzah, basmalah, intonation in reading the words in particular, the use of nagham and qira'at schools, to ethics in dress and ethics towards the Koran.

Abstract

Penelitian dengan judul Tafsir Tanda dalam Tradisi Nujuh Bulanan Masyarakat Sunda bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan memahami tafsir tanda yang terkandung dalam tradisi nujuh bulanan masyarakat sunda. Adapun rumusan masalah penelitiannya terdiri dari: (1) tanda yang terkandung dalam nujuh bulanan masyarakat muslim sunda, (2) tafsir tanda dalam tradisi nujuh bulanan masyarakat sunda. Untuk menganalisis permasalahan tersebut, teori yang digunakan adalah semiotika Triadic yang meliputi sign, object dan interpretant dari Charles Sanders Pierce dengan teori Fungsionalisme dari Bronislaw K. Malinowski yang menjelaskan tentang kegunaan unsur suatu budaya dalam masyarakat. Sedangkan metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan kajian pustaka berupa jurnal, makalah, artikel dan media skripsi sebagai sumber data. Penelitian ini menghasilkan kesimpulan bahwa setiap tanda yang terkandung dalam tradisi nujuh bulanan ini merupakan pengharapan yang ditujukan pada proses persalinan dan bayi yang masih berada dalam kandungan. Terkait persalinan, tanda dalam tradisi nujuh bulanan melambangkan harapan akan keselamatan, kesehatan dan kelancaran. Sedangkan terkait bayi yang masih berada dalam kandungan, tanda dalam tradisi nujuh bulanan melambangkan harapan agar kelak sang anak memiliki budi pekerti luhur, sifat gagah berani membela kebenaran, rendah hati dan setia, paras yang tampan dan cantik, rezeki yang berlimpah, kebebasan dalam menentukan hidupnya dan dapat mengangkat derajat keluarganya. Adapun menurut prinsip dasar fungsionalisme, tradisi nujuh bulanan yang ditemukan dalam ranah masyarakat sunda merupakan sebuah sistem yang terdiri dari unsur-unsur yang terjalin erat (dalam hal ini telah dibahas tanda yang terkandung dalam tradisi nujuh bulanan, agama dan sosial).

Abstract

Penelitian ini berawal dari adanya kebiasaan atau kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh Jamaah Satria Nusantara Japura Cirebon, bahwasanya setiap manusia itu memiliki kekuatan supranatural jika dipadukan kekuatan tersebut dengan ayat-ayat Al-Qur’an yang kita percayai bahwa Al-Qur’an memiliki sejuta kemanfaatan sehingga yang memiliki ilmu supranatural tersebut dapat menggunakan dengan baik seperti mengobati orang dari sihir, menjadikan pertahanan diri dll. Mohammad Daudah menyatakan dalam sebuah karyanyanya berjudul‚ “Energi Penyembuh dalam Al-Qur’an antara sain dan keyakinan” menurutnya suara Al-Qur’an dapat menghentikan pergerakan virus dan kuman, dan pada waktu yang bersamaan meningkatkan sel-sel sehat dan membangkitkan program yang terkacaukan di dalamnya agar siap bertempur melawan virus dan kuman. Tambahnya, bacaan al-Qur’an memiliki efek yang sangat luar biasa terhadap sel-sel dan dapat mengembalikan keseimbangan. Penelitian Living Qur`an dalam Tesis ini membahas tentang tradisi (amalan rutin) pembacaan penggalan ayat-ayat Al-Qur`an yang dilahirkan dari praktik komunal sebagai bentuk dari respon sosial masyarakat atau komunitas tertentu terhadap Al-Qur`an. Hasil dilapangan menunjukkan, latar belakang pelaksanaan kegiatan tersebut adalah agar mendapat perlindungan dari Allah swt dan terhindar dari segala macam dan bentuk gangguan-gangguan. Pemaknaan dari pembacaan amalan Q.s. Ali Imran ayat 190-196 itu sendiri adalah agar hati menjadi tentram dan damai. Salah satu manfaat amalan ini adalah untuk mengobati diri sendiri dan orang yang membutuhkan. Selain itu manfaat yang ada pada amalan ini bisa menenangkan hati dan semakin dekat dengan Allah SWT.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the views of Indonesian scholars, namely Muhammad Quraish Shihab and Buya Hamka, regarding gender equality between men and women. Of course, this study is motivated by the fact that men get a position above women in all fields. For decades, this patriarchal culture has always been a reference point and has ruled out the gender of a woman in working or playing an important role both internally and externally. the researcher tries to dismantle and peel from an Indonesian mufasir by using a comparative study between two great scholars, namely Hamka with his interpretation of al-Azhar and Qurais Shihab his work Al-Misbah by relating the gender relations of women in the scope of leadership in the Koran by using analysis semiotics on the theory of Charles Pierce). This study uses the method of interpreting muqarin between the interpretations of al-misbah and al-Azhar and is a type of qualitative research that uses library research. The results of this study are: (1) Quraish Shihab also considers that gender equality in leadership in Surat ann-Anisa verse 34 is not about male leadership in all matters (including social and political) over women, but rather about male leadership over women in the household. This means that using this verse as a prohibition against women to lead in politics is not correct. Looking at the context and the munasabah of the verse, namely about household relations. This seems to support the opinion of Quraish Shihab. (2) Buya Hamka's interpretation that in surah an-Nisa verse 34, says that the relationship between men and women is not equal.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to understand the purpose of interpreters using several symbols in their interpretation. The Javanese language used in the interpretation is the language that is often used in the life of Islamic boarding schools and society. The symbols expressed by the interpreter aim to make the reader able to sort and understand them with the concepts presented by the interpreter. This research will be examined using a qualitative analysis of literature which will thoroughly discuss material related to the intertextual of al-Ibriz’s interpretation with Jalalain’s interpretation. Understanding will expand and mature if the existing theory is practiced into the verses of the Qur’an. So the researcher will try to explore the verses of the Qur’an which contain elements of faidah in juz 5 which are contained in three verses. The results of the research conducted illustrate that a manuscript text carries thoughts that existed in the past and then these thoughts are developed. Al-Ibriz's interpretation with its inherent Javanese provides several unique elements of culture which are applied in religious studies, especially in the field of interpretation
