Abstract

Laliko Village has great tourism potential with its natural beauty and cultural wealth. This can be seen from the potential of mangrove forests and beautiful beach charm. However, less than optimal promotion hinders the development of the tourism sector. For this reason, technological intervention is carried out through the development of the Augmented Reality (AR) application “Visit Laliko” and the visitlaliko.com website. The purpose of this activity is to increase tourist attraction and present complete and interactive information. In addition, the group empowerment approach ensures this program also aims to provide an increase in the ability of tourism managers to use technology-based promotional features. Activity methods include planning, application development, partner training, and implementation of promotional technology. Training is provided to partners to operate AR technology and manage website content. The approach used was a group-based participatory model. The results of the activity showed an increase in partners' knowledge and ability to use technology, with an average increase in ability of 50%. The AR application and website provide complete information about tourist destinations, making it easier for visitors to plan visits. Integration with Google Analytics allows real-time traffic monitoring, helping partners with promotional strategies. In addition, the results of the activities showed an impact on the development of tourism economic businesses with an increase in visitors or tourists by 100% since the program intervention until the initial activity reporting. Methods: This study is an observational analytic study with a cross-sectional approach. The population consists of all laborers at the Makassar Health Quarantine Center. The sample comprises 133 respondents from the population of laborers working at the Makassar Health Quarantine Center. The sampling technique used is random sampling with the Slovin formula. The measuring instrument used is the Numeric Rating Scale questionnaire. The statistical test employed is the Chi-Square Test, with Fisher's Exact Test as an alternative. Findings: The results of the study show a significant relationship between age (p-value ρ=0.000<0.05), length of service (ρ=0.000<0.05), workload (ρ=0.009<0.05), and work duration (ρ=0.000<0.05) with complaints of low back pain among laborers. Conclusion: The study concludes that there is a relationship between age, length of service, workload, and work duration with complaints of low back pain among laborers at the Makassar Health Quarantine Center. Abstract

Background: According to 2020 data from the Central Statistics Agency, there are approximately 30.83 million early childhood children, with 29.28% of them being preschool-aged (5-6 years old). At the preschool stage, children's personal-social development is influenced by various factors, including communication, the surrounding environment, health status, and peer interactions. A friendly/effective communication model between a mother and her child plays a crucial role in creating the home as the child's first/primary social environment. Effective communication can help improve children's personal-social skills, which are essential for healthy social interactions outside the home. This study aims to explore the correlation between mothers' communication skills and the personal-social development of preschool children at TK Taruna Karya, Bontobahari District. Method: This study employs a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. The study population consists of mothers of 80 students from TK Taruna Karya, Bontobahari District. The sampling technique used is total/consecutive sampling, where all mothers of students in this population are included as samples. Data were collected using a questionnaire designed to evaluate mothers' communication skills and the personal-social development of their children. The data were then analyzed using SPSS 16 with a chi-square test and an alternative Fisher’s Exact Test to determine if there was a significant relationship between the studied variables. Findings: The analysis results showed a ρ-value of 0.000 (ρ<α=0.05), indicating a significant relationship between mothers' communication skills and the personal-social development of preschool children at TK Taruna Karya. Conclusion: This study concludes that there is a significant relationship between mothers' communication skills and the personal-social development of preschool children at TK Taruna Karya, Bontobahari District. Improved mothers' communication skills contribute positively to the personal-social development of a child.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to analyse the legal protection of holders of land rights in development. The research employs a normative legal research method, utilising data sourced from literature studies, including laws and regulations on mining, as well as literature, such as books related to the subject matter. First, it is the duty of the State to protect holders of land rights certificates due to the aforementioned individuals' good faith and the state's decision to issue certificates as proof of land titles. Such certificates should not be canceled by the state without compensation. In light of this, it is essential to have valid, correct, and appropriate rules of state administrative law and their effective implementation to guarantee the legal protection of holders of land rights certificates. Second, in instances where land is required for the implementation of public development, the acquisition process must be conducted expeditiously and in a transparent manner, while maintaining due consideration for the protection of legitimate rights to land. The legal basis for land acquisition for the implementation of development in the public interest as stipulated by Presidential Decree No. 55 of 1993 is no longer deemed appropriate in the current legal landscape. The issuance of Presidential Regulation No. 36 of 2005, which has been amended by Presidential Regulation No. 65 of 2006, is founded on several legal instruments. This research leads to the conclusion that the government's objective is to provide a form of protection and guarantee of legal certainty over land ownership for individuals. This is achieved through the registration of land rights as outlined in Article 19, Paragraph 1 of Law Number 5 of 1960 concerning Basic Agrarian Regulations. The form of legal protection for people's rights to land in development is to provide legal protection for holders of land rights to their land

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to analyze the determinants of agricultural productivity and their impact on the welfare of agricultural countries. Agricultural productivity plays a pivotal role in the economic development of agricultural economies, as their growth largely depends on the performance of the agricultural sub-sector. The research adopts an empirical and quantitative approach to identify the key drivers contributing to productivity enhancement in agriculture. Design/Methods/Approach: The study employs secondary data obtained from reputable sources, including Our World in Data, the World Bank, the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), ILOSTAT, and the Economic Research Service. The sample consists of seven countries with the highest agricultural productivity globally, covering the period 2012–2021 based on data availability. The analysis examines the effects of land area, fertilizer consumption, agricultural labor, carbon emissions, and financial development on agricultural productivity. Findings: The results show that land area has a significant negative effect on agricultural productivity, while fertilizer consumption and agricultural labor have significant positive effects. Carbon emissions and financial development exert positive but statistically insignificant effects. These findings suggest that physical inputs and labor remain the main drivers of productivity growth in agricultural economies, whereas environmental and financial factors have yet to exhibit substantial influence. Originality/Value: This study contributes to the literature by comparatively identifying the determinants of agricultural productivity among the world’s most productive agricultural countries. By utilizing cross-country and time-series data, it enriches empirical understanding of how both input and non-input factors shape global agricultural performance, offering insights relevant to food security and sustainable economic development. Practical/Policy implication: The findings provide valuable guidance for policymakers, agricultural practitioners, and stakeholders to promote more efficient agricultural practices through the adoption of modern technologies, improved access to productive inputs such as fertilizers, and capacity-building for agricultural labor. These efforts are crucial to strengthening food security, enhancing farmers’ welfare, and supporting inclusive economic growth in agricultural economies.
